New Age Heroes: Chapter 3

"Avram! The mistress requires your presence!"
The thunder from the sky outside did little to disguise the growling as a bone shattered into the wall.
"This better be important. I don't like to be disturbed..."
The imposing figure rose from the floor and strode towards the messenger, his large spiked tail scraping along the floor. He ducked under the doorframe and walked alongside the herald.
"So, what does *she* want from me this time?"
The messenger said nothing and continued to walk down the dimly lit corridor. Avram grunted, he often forgot that undead creatures were a little lacking in the conversational department. The pair continued along the corridor until they reached a large door. Engraved into the door were several figures, what they were as it was impossible to tell as their bodies had been twisted and contorted beyond all recognition. The head of these things even made an imposing figure like Avram shiver, their faces locked into a picture of excruciating agony, eyes wide and hollow.
The messenger spoke in a language that Avram recognised as Necrus, the language of the dead.
"Nosvasus dorminu tal ovus."
The figures on the door began to move of their own accord, their mangled arms reaching for the centre of the door. It began to open slowly, the figures pulling the two halves of the portal apart. The messenger pointed for Avram to enter.
Avram walked into the large chamber. The chamber was decorated differently from his room; the walls were lined with pictures of warfare, tattered flags of ancient civilizations hanging down from the ceiling. Avram looked around for *her* unaware of the dark mist slowly enshrouding his body. Suddenly, the mist solidified and Avram found himself tightly constricted by a large black tail.
*I have a task for you*
"Are we there yet?"
Three figures were walking through a forest, two robed figures taking the lead while a third figure, a human, was behind them breathing heavily.
"Kyle, for the love of Gaia will you please stop whining?"
The human groaned and slouched against a large oak tree. The two other figures sighed and lowered their hoods.
"Ruby, I think for Kyle's sake, we will set up camp here tonight."
The wolfess rolled her eyes and dropped her bag to the floor.
"Roman you forget we have no supplies left, what are we going to eat?"
The dragon smiled at the wolfess and lowered his bag to the floor, before taking an unconscious Carbon off of his shoulder.
"Well, why don't you teach Kyle here how to hunt for food?"
The human groaned loudly and slumped onto his backside. He closed his eyes and tilted his head forward. Ruby walked over towards him and nudged him with her foot.
"C'mon cutey, time to go rustle us up some grub."
Kyle grunted and curled his body up on the floor.
"Why don't you go hunt in the woods, and I'll hunt some sheep instead." He remarked, covering his eyes with his hands. Suddenly, he found himself being dragged along the floor deeper into the woods.
"HEY! What the hell! Ok I'm up, I'm up!"
Ruby giggled as the human got up and dusted himself off, his eyes shooting daggers at the young wolfess. Ruby reached for a knife in her belt and held it out for Kyle.
"You know how to skin an animal right?" She remarked, raising a eyebrow.
"I'm not completely useless you know. I used to cook a lot for Carbon back home...well what was home..."
Ruby sighed gently and placed her arm round Kyle, ruffling his hair softly.
"Hey cheer up, I thought you hated Nohan."
The human shrugged gently and nodded.
"Well yeah, but I did grow up there, this is the first time I've ever been out of Nohan, I'm leaving behind a lot of things..."
Ruby nodded and looked deep in thought. Suddenly she smirked at Kyle and bopped his shoulder playfully.
"Oh, I get it, leaving someone special behind are we hmm?" She smiled playfully at the human.
Kyle stared at her, and for the first time she saw him smile. He then began to tremble, before falling to the ground in hysterics, rolling around on the floor in fits of laughter.
"AHA HAHAH, haha...heh...heh...good one, I needed that."
He stared up at the wolfess who was looking at him weirdly. She offered him her paw and helped him up off the floor.
"Erm, I take it then that a no?"
The human chuckled again "Seriously, you were there remember? I'm pinkie shit, the only one that gave a fraction of a damn about me was Carbon, and he's a dick!"
Ruby stared at him, trying to analyse what he had just said.
"Wait, you mean you're a...err...how do I put this...innocent?"
Kyle smirked. "Innocent no, Virgin yes...hell I haven't even been kissed let alone got that far."
Ruby was speechless. She opened her mouth but couldn't find any words, she just stared blankly at the rapidly becoming more uncomfortable human.
"Erm...we should really get back to hunting maybe?"
Ruby quickly shook her head and regained her basic motor skills, brushing herself down.
"Err yeah, good point we can't be gone too long or Roman will get annoyed."
The pair continued into the woods, and soon came across a herd of wild deer grazing in a clearing. Ruby motioned for Kyle to get down as she drew an arrow from her quiver and drew back the bowstring. She let loose an arrow, hitting a doe in her flank. The herd bolted quickly, but Ruby quickly pulled out another arrow and soon enough, another straggler fell to the ground. The pair moved towards their kills and Kyle drew his knife, and set to work skinning and carving the venison.
As he worked, Ruby stared at the young male. *Wow, never been kissed...poor guy* She thought to herself. She took the time to get a better look at the human. *Odd though, he's quite cute in an sorta innocent way, Nohan must have been a real hellhole, cause if he lived in my home town, he'd probably be mated by now...* A small smirk started to appear on her face as she thought about it. "Hmm...Could I...I mean he needs to be trained I suppose...could come under his *special training*. She let out a giggle and Kyle looked up at her, giving her an odd look before returning to the kill. *Well...it would be up to him...but I best test the water before diving in...*
Kyle finished his work and went to handed the knife back to Ruby but she shook her head.
"Consider it a gift Kyle; it may come in handy for you."
Kyle smiled and took the blades sheath from Ruby, attaching it to his belt.
"Thanks Ruby...you know it's nice to finally have someone that gives a damn about me."
Ruby smiled and nodded, causing Kyle to bush softly. The pair picked up the meat and began their walk back to camp.
When they arrived back at the camp, Roman had just finished setting up the tents. Carbon was still lying unconscious on the floor, placed inside a sleeping bag that was tied up.
"I tied him in so he doesn't freak out when he wakes up."
Kyle smirked and deposited the meat at the camp. Roman walked over and checked the food.
"Hmm, this should do us nicely until we get to the next town, good job"
Kyle nodded and had a look at the camp. Already, there was a small fire going in the centre of the camp. Their belongings were carefully bunched up neat a set of tents. However, Kyle noticed a problem...
"Erm...Roman? There are only two tents..."
The dragon turned around and cocked his head. If he had any eyebrows, Kyle was sure one would be raised.
"Well yes, is that a problem Kyle?"
The human scratched his head and looked at the dragon, then at the tents.
"I take it then we are sharing?"
The dragon shook his head and the human swore he saw a faint smile appear on his face.
"No, I'll be sharing with your brother; you will be sharing with Ruby."
At this comment, Kyle went bright red. He began to splutter.
"B...b...but she's a...she's a...and I'm....we can't!"
The dragon chuckled lightly and Ruby grabbed a hold of the human, putting him in a headlock.
"Someone a little shy are they hmm Kyle? Don't worry, we will get dressed separately and I don't sleep nude...not that you would mind I reckon."
She stuck her tongue out playfully and Kyle struggled, his face now resembling a tomato. Ruby laughed and released him, causing him to fall flat on his face.
"C'mon cutey, let's go clean up, you got blood on your shirt"
Kyle looked down and sure enough, there were blood stains from the deer stained onto his shirt. He sighed and got to his feet, his eyes remaining locked to the ground to hide any further embarrassment. The pair walked off towards the river that ran through the forest. Ruby laid back on a rock and sunned herself.
"Go on then, go wash your shirt ill wait here for ya."
Kyle nodded without making eye contact and shuffled off to the river. He looked over quickly and saw that Ruby was dosing away, and slowly removed his shirt and began to wash it in the river. However, unknown to him, Ruby was watching him.
"Mmm...Not bad at all...I'll enjoy training you Kyle..." She muttered to herself and quietly murred over him. Kyle finished scrubbing and began to put his shirt back on, so Ruby quickly pretended to be dozing again.
"Ok, I'm done we ready to head back to camp?"
Ruby opened her eyes and smiled, hopping off the rock.
"Lead on cutey."
The pair started to walk back towards camp, as they neared it Ruby stopped suddenly and Kyle almost walked off without her.
"Ruby? You ok?"
The wolfess remained silent and stared at the human. He tilted his head and walked towards her, stopping in front of her.
"Hello? Kyle to Ruby? Anybody home?"
The wolfess began to growl slightly and Kyle stumbled backwards.
"Erm Ruby are you ok?"
She stalked towards him, smirking with a fire in her eyes.
"I've been thinking about what we talked about earlier Kyle, I find it impossible to believe someone who looks like you is so...new to the ways of the world."
Ruby licked her muzzle and Kyle started to walk backwards, staring at her nervously.
"I don't understand Ruby, What are you talking about?"
Ruby growled seductively and leapt forward, pinning Kyle to the floor. Kyle went to yell but found a furry paw covering his mouth.
"Time for your first lesson Kyle..."
The paw moved away from his mouth but before he had a chance to say anything, Ruby replaced her paw with her muzzle.
Kyle was stunned, never before had he been kissed and now he found himself lip locked with a wolfess, a hot wolfess! In his shock, his mouth remained open and he soon found Ruby's tongue playing with his own, massaging it gently. Kyle couldn't begin to describe it, the feeling of her muzzle connected to his mouth and her tongue dancing with his own, it felt so foreign, but yet something about it felt good. His eyes shut as he enjoyed the kiss, Ruby very much the one leading the proceedings.
What felt like years, but was actually considerably shorter, Ruby withdrew her tongue from his mouth and pulled away slowly, her eyes half open and smiling gently. Kyle opened his eyes slowly, and looked at her in disbelief.
"How was that for your first time Kyle?"
"Wow..." was all he managed to say.
She giggled gently and lent down, touching her nose with his and nuzzling him gently. The pair laid there for a couple of minutes, revealing in the experience before Ruby slowly got to her feet and pulled Kyle up off the floor.
"We better get back to camp; we got to eat before it gets too late."
Kyle nodded, his brain had completely shut down on him and he stumbled as he tried to walk towards the camp. Ruby laughed and gently helped him to walk, letting him lean against her for support.
The evening's dinner went without much happening. Ruby and Kyle both agreed not to tell Roman about their little 'training' exercise in the woods, although Kyle swore that the dragon was staring at him oddly throughout most of the dinner. Kyle waited outside for Ruby to get dressed into her night garments.
"Ok I'm dressed, you can come in now."
Kyle walked into the tent and stopped suddenly, rubbing his eyes in disbelief. Ruby was dressed in a small, floral, nightdress that perfectly showed off her natural curves. The dress wrapped her body beautifully and showed off her natural cleavage, to great effect Kyle thought.
"Ok I'll wait outside while you get changed ok?"
Kyle nodded his eyes never moving from her form. She smirked and walked towards him tapping him on the top of his head.
"I'm up here sweetie."
Kyle looked up and immediately went red, stammering an apology. Ruby giggled and ruffled his hair, before stepping outside to wait for him. Kyle quickly removed his shirt and undid his belt before stopping. If he was sharing with Ruby, was she planning to...Kyle blushed heavily and removed his trousers, opting to sleep in his boxers. He quickly got into his sleeping back and wrapped himself up.
"Ok, I'm done you can come in."
Ruby re-entered the tent and smirked at the human fortified in his sleeping bag. She walked over, taking great pleasure in moving her hips in a sultry manner, causing Kyle to once again become a human tomato hybrid. She leant down and laid on top of Kyle.
"Someone nervous about sleeping in a tent with a girl?"
Kyle gulped and nodded meekly, scrunching his body up in a vain attempt to protect himself. Ruby chuckled and placed her paw on the zipper.
"I see London, I see France, I see Kyle's...."
In one swift movement, Ruby pulled the sleeping bag's zip down, and Kyle tumbled out of the bag. He quickly got up and placed his hands over his crotch, shaking nervously. Ruby smiled and got up, admiring Kyle's body.
"Mmm...Why were you nervous about hiding that body Kyle...?"
Kyle stammered nervously and let out what could only be described as a small whimper. Ruby laughed and held out his sleeping bag, which he snatched quickly from her paws.
"Don't worry Hun; we won't have another lesson yet"
Kyle breathed a sigh of relief and slowly got back into his sleeping bag, his face slowly returning to its natural colour. The pair each got into their respective sleeping bags and made themselves comfortable.
"Ruby?"
"Yes Kyle?"
"Thanks..."
The wolfess smiled and looked over at Kyle
"Your welcome Kyle, it was my pleasure"
Kyle smiled shyly and the pair wished each other a good night. Kyle laid back his head resting against his arms as he stared at the roof of the tent. In the space of 48 hours, he had gone from feeling shit to finally for the first time in his life, happiness.
Then, his smile vanished from his face.
"Ruby? What do you mean another lesson?"
