Parts 3 + 4 don't have any sex or stuff, I just made them rated 'adult' just in case someone wanted to grass me up with some obscure rule about posing content blah blah...

So anyway, enough talking, here's to part five! :3 -

-

The fox slid out of the bed and onto his feet. He had never expected such a start to the day, but then again, he had never really expected anything which had come out of the bubbly young vixen for the time he'd been with her. He was just pulling on his top when he remembered to check the time. He peered through the neck-hole in the shirt at the ornate clock hanging on the wall, noticing that it was five to nine.

The vixen must have woken up earlier than him and when she realised that he wasn't going to wake up any time soon, she decided to wake him up herself, playing her flirty games with him in the process. As soon as they had both gotten their clothes on and smoothed down their fur they made their way down to the ground floor.

The fox was greeted by the hallway where he had first met his new owners. He began looking around and noticed two different doors. He had no idea which door to go through at first, but when he picked up the hushed tones of two voices coming from the door immediately to his left he knew which one to go through.

He slowly opened the door and peered into the room. It was what looked to be a lounge area with a soft carpet floor and a few sofas, all centered around a low coffee table and pointing towards the large, flat-screen TV positioned in the far corner.

-

Liz soon saw the open door and the animal-like face peeping out from behind it, its eyes growing wide when the fox noticed Liz had seen him. Liz gestured for the fox to come in, seeing him quickly shuffle out from behind the door with the vixen following closely behind.

She really hoped Dan's nerves wouldn't get the better of him this time. She had always known how Dan's workmates had kept on pressuring him into getting a slave of his own, constantly mocking his kindness towards animals, saying that he would realise how bloodthirsty and manipulative they are if he got one of his own.

The day that he actually let it all out was definitely a tough one for her, but she had actually said that he should get one on the basis that they could actually afford one and that it would be much better for it if it was in their home instead of being in a prison cell or a labour camp.

She decided that they could easily integrate it into their family, having them as more of a friend than a slave and as soon as they got one, Dan could immediately tell the guys at work to piss off and they could get on with their lives as normal, only with an extra addition to the family.

A few days after talking it over they went to the slave center where they were shown all the potential slaves that were on sale. They had heard that the foxes were the most like humans, so decided to get one of them and had eventually decided on getting two - one male and one female - so that they wouldn't feel too lonely by themselves, although really the couple both suspected that if they got one of the opposite gender to their partner, their relations might get unnecessarily complicated.

Soon they had picked out the two they wanted, paid the surprisingly small amount of money to buy them and were told to expect them in a couple of days. They had returned home and she had continued on as if nothing had happened, although the same couldn't be said for Dan.

She had never seen him as down as he was the night after they had purchased the two Reklan. He must have been shocked at the fact that he had just went into a store and purchased two lives. There wasn't even a big deal to it either. You just went in, picked the one you wanted, signed a form saying that you would try not to kill them and went on your merry way. The sheer informality disgusted Liz as much as it must have disgusted Dan, but all her life he had always been her role model, the one she had always looked up to.

-

She had first met him in secondary school. She was a socially awkward girl and although she was perfectly normal, she had never worked up the courage to speak to anyone, especially Dan.

Unlike her, Dan was always at the top of the chain, having all the popular friends and getting mostly high marks in all of his tests. Liz had always looked up to him as a role model of what she wanted her boyfriend to be like, dreaming many times of taking the place of one of the popular girls who were always clinging on to him. However in one history class, that was about to change.

The term's topic was a focus on 'The Atrocities of the Reklan Empire'. Liz, like everyone else had noticed how uncomfortable Dan was in the lessons but unlike everyone else, who thought that he had been through some experience to hate the Reklan, she thought otherwise.

She had the theory that instead of hating the Reklan, he thought that they were being portrayed unfairly, his permanent frown not due to the 'Reklan atrocities' but instead due to how teenagers like him were taught the xenophobic lies from which the world's bias against the Reklan is based on.

Liz thought that, instead of learning obediently, she could try and contradict the teacher in some way and go against the constant degradation the government had always put upon the Reklan. Maybe if she could stand up for the Reklan, surely Dan would have to notice her then. She waited through the class, and when the time was right, she spoke out.

"So class. How important do you think the Reklan's involvement and manipulations in the UN was to the breakout of the first resource wars?", the teacher asked.

"What if they were actually trying to help?", Liz called out.

She immediately regretted her decision as the eyes of the rest of her class turned towards her. Every one of them had a look as if they were saying 'Are you crazy?' to her, but one set of eyes wasn't. Dan's eyes. This inspired her to keep on going.

"Help?", the teacher questioned her, his 'stupid child' look most prominent on his face, but there was also a look of puzzlement on his face, as if he was trying out the idea in his head as well.

"Yes sir, what if instead of trying to create war between the countries, they were actually trying to prevent it?", Liz clarified.

"But that would be ridiculous!", the teacher commented. "None of the records have ever had anything to say about the Reklan actually helping us. Now go sit down, before you come up with any more outrageous ideas."

Liz made a move to sit down. She was disappointed in the fact that the teacher didn't even let her have any chance for further argument, but she was proud in herself, and hopefully Dan would have at least noticed her. She had almost completely sat down when something happened that affected her for the rest of her life. Dan had stood up.

"Sorry sir for interrupting, but I think you may need to check your records as the ones I've seen have plenty of information suggesting that the Reklan were in fact trying to help us", contradicted Dan.

"I'm pretty sure my documents are correct, they have come straight from the government", the teacher replied.

"But what if I said my documents came from before they were passed to the government?", suggested Dan.

"You aren't saying that-"

"Oh yes, I am saying that. It has been done in the past, so why not now?"

Dan was looking the teacher directly in the eye, a hatred burning in them as if he was picturing the teacher as the actual government, directing all his anger caused by the accusations dumped on the Reklan at the teacher.

"What if they were in fact more civilised than we were, what if all these stories about manipulating humans are lies. Only the most advanced technology would have been able to hold off the assault we made against them for as long as they did, and we've all heard the accounts of the survived soldiers saying they could see people bouncing off energy shields and super-advanced laser cannons gunning them down. I don't think that is what you can call 'primitive technology'."

It looked as if Dan was running out of breath from all of his arguing, but he continued to press his point.

"What if instead of enslaving a species of mind-manipulating monsters, we have instead enslaved a species which is in fact much more advanced and morally correct than we humans are. How would you deal with that?"

The teacher, looking very disturbed, seemed to want to be rid of the class before any more questions could be asked of him. He had always taught the same material every year without failure ever since the defeat of the Reklan. The student's outburst had himself wondering about whether all the things he was told were true.

The teacher looked at the clock. It was five minutes before the end of the lesson but he decided that it wouldn't matter if the class was let out a bit early. He dismissed the class, trying to deal with the thoughts rushing through his head.

Later that day at lunchtime, Liz saw Dan start to walk up to her. She had never thought he would react so strongly, but it definitely was a rather strong topic to talk about. She shifted nervously as he approached.

"Hi", the young man said.

"Erm, hi to you too. Thanks for sticking up for me in that lesson."

Her face was flushed with embarrassment. She had spent all this time trying to get his attention, but hadn't even thought of what she was going to say when she finally talked to him.

"I never thought anyone in the class would think the same as me about the Reklan", he said.

"Well, I really only said it to get your attention." She grew even more red as she finished the sentence. "But what you said about the Reklan is definitely interesting."

"So does that mean we're friends then?", the boy asked.

Liz felt herself grow giddy with excitement. She had dreamed for this moment to happen ever since she first saw Dan, and now that dream was coming true.

"Sure!", came the enthusiastic response. Liz felt she was never going to regret this moment in her life.

-

From there on in, their friendship had grown bigger and better. They first started by talking to each other more often and choosing each other as partners for teamwork. The more Liz got to know Dan, the better he seemed, and she was pretty sure he felt the same way too. Eventually they started going deeper with their relationship, becoming boyfriend and girlfriend, then finally deciding they wanted to live with each other.

The flashback slowly faded from Liz's memory. She was sitting down in front of the two foxes, both of them looking patiently towards her. Dan still looked as if he was contradicting himself in his mind, but at least he looked better than yesterday. Liz decided to start off the conversation.

"So..."
