#4 of Outsiders: Legend

So then we are already at Chapter Three, which is at this point my favorite to write, containing a good amount of humor and nice plot development. If you are going like it as much as I do, well we'll see at the end if you maybe comment or favorite. Too obvious, okay well then I'll just back up into the corner. No ignore me, just go on, just go....

Chapter Three: Little Council Estate of Horrors

"Come on Twilight; don't over exert yourself there are still a lot of boxes down in the truck." Koji said to Twilight, carrying one of his large boxes up the stairs towards his new apartment. Twilight however decided to show off and was carrying six large boxes in a triangular pattern as he walked behind Koji, with no trouble in the world. They were in a bit fancier apartment complex; the walls were painted a nice color of beige. There appeared to be a nice parking garage underneath the building and it was closer to Interstate 15 and mainstream Las Vegas. No strange homeless people or meth heads were hanging out around the dumpster and the lack of a horrid smell around the complex was a plus as well.

"So, last night what happened to Eric, in simple man's terms, and who are the Kagen Gods?" Koji asked as they walked up the set of stairs, Koji wanting to know some information beyond from what he gathered in the situation. Twilight pondered this question, his face showing his trouble with phasing the answer.

"Well the Kagens are a collection of ten races, and each of them had a leader or a clan, they get the most power and the most generalized powers over the group, those are the Kagen Gods." Twilight said as he walked up the stairs, not appearing strained with the boxes nearly covering his face.

"Think of Afternoon, all the wolves under him can transform things, but they're limited, some can transform viruses only or plastic toys, and none can reach into the human world. What happened to Eric was that Afternoon used his powers to create a virus, which is the closest thing it is in human terms. It quickly changes his DNA and forces it into effect and stores his normal DNA for changing back." Twilight said in basic human terms.

"You can probably understand that, you've seen crazier shit than that." Twilight said as he almost arrived at the top the stair. He didn't appear sweated or worn out as he got there. "Either way that is the basic rundown of what's happening."

As Koji went up the last set of stairs, he pulled out the new keys he was given and prepared to enter his new house. Balancing one box in his left hand, he took the key and entered it into the slot of the door. He turned it to the left and then heard the click of it unlocking at he turned the key left. He pushed open the door and entered his new apartment looking around at the shiny new area.

He could see why Molly would recommend the apartment to him, or more forcefully buy it for him. The door was on the left side of the apartment and it seemed to be a large two floor apartment. To the right was the kitchen with a large countertop and many, many pieces of kitchen equipment were already preinstalled. Forward there was the entertainment center, with a large television hung against the wall and three couches angled towards the TV. By the entertainment center there was a large green poker table and a pool table next to it.

The whole apartment was two stories tall and in the middle was a loft, with a connection to three rooms. There were windows to the outside around the apartment with curtains hung and large lights were installed on the ceiling. Everything looked new and pretty in the apartment, Koji couldn't believe it.

Koji looked dumbfounded as he realized that the apartment was his, he pulled the keys out of the door and looked around at everything. He couldn't believe that Molly recommended the apartment to him; he didn't know how she could even afford this kind of apartment.

"Well you silly shark, you can afford this apartment because this apartment is rent controlled and also at your old stupid apartment there were a lot of hidden fees on your bill. You just never noticed or cared, but don't worry this should easily fill in your budget." Molly said suddenly appearing and entering the apartment. Koji was slightly put off by her excitement and how she knew everything.

"Yeah, ok how'd you get here are you stalking Koji now." Twilight said stealing the conversation and the spotlight from Molly as he started to interrogate her for her information and what she knew. She looked a little put off as Twilight got in her face but stayed smiling but didn't look angry or like she was going to yell.

"No, I live one floor down. That's why I recommended this apartment, now I am going to go to the base because Jackson wants me to look with Eric or try to figure out what he's going to do. Don't be so hard to him, he's hasn't seen anything like this before and he misses Eric." Molly said as she walked out of the doorway as quickly as she entered. "However, enjoy the house." She said entering and then disappearing again.

"She's strange, I like her." Twilight said as he followed her out of the room, going to get another set of boxes from the truck. While Twilight did that Koji walked over to the wall and looked at the multiple light switches for the house. He placed his finger on one and switched it on, strangely it did nothing and Koji looked around as he switched the light on and off, trying to figure out what light would have turned on.

He switched another light on and watched as the large light above him turned off. Koji switched the previous switch on and watched as none of the lights showed up with in the dark apartment. Koji turned on the main light again and looked around as he tried to figure out what light was being switched.

He attempted to figure out what light was being turned on and off. In his mind nothing made sense. He had evidence that the switches were connected, and they had electricity. So he couldn't mentally understand which light wasn't getting turned on and off.

"Koji, why are you turning the outdoor light on and off?" Twilight said as he peaked in the apartment again, looking at Koji as he walked into the house with another set of six boxes. Koji said nothing as he stuck his head out of the door and saw as the light on the outside of the door, flashed on and off as he played with the switch.

"Wait, its midday how is it dark enough to see the light." Koji said as he looked out of the apartment again and was promptly surprised as he looked up and saw the nighttime sky of Las Vegas above him.

"Ah, that's fucking creepy, what the hell is going on to the sky, it's like the skybox program went shitty." Koji said cursing with the best of them as he looked into the sky, wondering why it was so dark. As he walked down the stairs the sky didn't change. However, as Koji walked into the parking lot, the sky slowly shifted from a dark night into the beautiful orange twilight and then the sky turned back to the normal midday tone it should have been.

What was strange was as Koji walked into the daylight, there appeared to be a bubble of darkness around the building and whatever it was, it was causing the problem. Koji scratched his head as he wondered what was happening to the apartment complex.

"Oh dear, Afternoon must have put Jackson into hibernation and transformed someone else. He must be tracking us somehow, or he got really lucky. Either way whoever was transformed seems to be able to manipulate space and cause this darkness." Twilight said as he walked out of the sphere and looked around.

"Ok, is this a Jackson or Molly thing, or are we going to be the two hombres." Koji said opening up to you as he walked back into the darkness bubble and back towards the apartment complex. "Also, this is going to get me so kicked out."

"You are quite the speaker around me; perhaps it because you're... no it wouldn't be that. Either way do Jackson and Eric frighten you enough that you can't speak for fear of rejection, which would make sense in the context of your story? I don't see why you're afraid of Molly, she is quite open and she can sense your mind." Twilight said with his mind running as he made a quick hypothesis."

Koji suddenly shut himself down and his eyes watched the ground as he suddenly became a lot shyer. He brought his arms around his chest as if he was cold and turned his face away from Twilight. The air around them became a lot colder.

"Interesting, I can't read your mind but I could sense a mental shield rising, as if your body wants to hide all information from outsiders. You're a massive nearly seven foot shark, and quite a cute one too, you don't need to feel so bad about yourself." Twilight said as Koji began blushing, causing him to ironically hide his face even further. Twilight notices this as they came to the top of their stairs and playfully jabbed Koji in the side.

"Well, at least you haven't fully sealed yourself in; it'd take something truly bad to do that." Twilight said as he looked around the apartments, trying to find who or what was causing the distortions around the building. He had no guess on which it could be, but he knew they would be in or near the building.

"Ok, let's split up. Knocking on doors, door to door. Try to figure out who or what is causing this." Twilight said quickly opening the door to Koji's apartment, looking around and sniffing trying to be sure it wasn't right under his nose. He opened up the top box, and pulled out two outsider's coats and handed one to Koji, while putting one the smaller one.

"Good idea, now then I'll take the upper apartments, you go from the button floors to the middle, and we'll see if we can meet up and find who caused this." Twilight said as he walked back towards the stairs and started to run towards the top. Koji groaned as he walked down the stairs, he was beginning to think that Twilight's sheer enthusiasm might wear him out if he didn't curb it, but he needed to figure out who or what was causing the darkness around the building.

Koji didn't have a problem with the darkness around the building, he enjoyed the night time, dark and cool, much more bearable than the moist and thick hot air of the midday sun shining down on his aquatic body. He did however, have a responsibility to at least figure out whether or not the darkness around the building was a threat, and seeing as it appeared to be of supernatural cause it would most definitely be a threat.

...

"OK, so let's figure out where Eric is, we should start up the energy tracker; see if we can get any good signatures on the screen." Molly said as she sat down next to Jackson, ruffling her feathers as she pulled herself closer to the seat. Jackson looked next to miserable and based on what Molly was feeling, didn't get much sleep in the previous night.

"Ok, let's try this." Jackson said as he clicked the power button, turning on the computer and the graphical interface. They were in the outsider's base, which was a bland and pale warehouse with equipment, scattered around and wires traveling across the floor. It was nothing special; it just had a few energy devices and a supercomputer, everything they would have needed.

As they turned on the energy tracker, a satellite dish on the roof of the warehouse turned on and it began to collect energy particles from around the state. Using triangulation and other factors, such as wind speed the computer could detect where the energy was coming from.

On the screen a map of the city appeared, with dots appearing and the more powerful the energy, the larger the dot was. The screen automatically moved towards the largest energy and it was a black glowing dot, with a tinier blue dot within it. Molly automatically recognized the location of the map and Jackson rose up as he did too.

"That's your apartment, is that Twilight's energy?" Jackson asked as he clicked on the black dot, hoping it would perform an energy scan on the particles. The computer started to process the task, putting a progress bar on the screen as it placed the particles through a few scanners and using math to figure out what caused the energy, where the energy was produced and what the energy did.

"No, Twilight has to be the much tinier dot. Obviously that's the Kagen's because it's blue." Molly said being savvy as she waited for the computer to process the energy. She had to wonder what the massive black energy was as she waited for the computer to process it, but as it got closer to completion it was painfully clear on what it could be.

The bar reached the end of its journey and for a millisecond it disappeared with the window, before a larger one appeared and showed the results of the energy. Molly already knew what the energy was going to be, as she recognized the familiar window. She got up and put on her Outsiders coat as she prepared to leave the building.

"Come on, it's a derivative of transformative energy from Afternoon. We need to get there soon." Molly said as she put her hand on Jackson's shoulders, giving her leader the call to arms he needed. He got up as he tried to figure out how Molly could possibly know what the information only a second after it picked up.

"You saw that in Twilight's memory banks reacting with your powers didn't you, what else do you know, will we get Eric back?" Jackson asked like a lost child as he tried to get information about the future from Molly. The bird continued facing forward as she realized that even she knew too much information and it wouldn't stay holed up in her mind forever.

"Eric, can be returned to use, but the path in doing so will be littered in great sacrifice, and I am willing to take that path." Molly said as she turned towards Jackson, trying to make a sincere look on her face. She turned around walking forward and out of the warehouse, towards the parking lot.

"Come on, let's go investigate." Molly said returning to her cheery and bright attitude, walking on sunshine as she walked out of the outsider's base and entered the parking lot, letting out to a back street alley in Las Vegas. She got into the outsiders van, turning it on as Jackson turned on the Wi-Fi on his computer so that he could be alerted to any energy changes.

"Well come on them." Molly said as she put the van in gear and drove out of the parking lot and alley onto the main roads. She knew where here apartment was relative to their current location and as she looked in that direction, between the buildings it was like there was a dark sphere, trapping her apartment like a snow globe. She knew that Koji and Twilight were still at the apartments so she could hope that it would make a difference.

"Oh gods, Jackson get a media lock on the building, I don't want any of the liberal, conservative, or comedy reporters within a hundred yards of the building, and they could be a risk to themselves." Molly said as she gave Jackson an order, a media lock basically meant that every camera device would be blocked out by a minor electromagnetic pulse that only affected media devices, that way no one could do their jobs within the area the Outsiders were operating in.

"This is going to be, I'll be surprised if Eric doesn't show up, but then again I think Twilight said something about Afternoon only being able to control one victim at a time, so scratch that. Maybe the pope will show up instead." Jackson said typing at his computer as he monitored the situation. As it showed it appeared that Twilight was moving across the complex trying to find the source.

"See you're warming up to him, he's not bad. He has Koji's best interests in heart, he just has some bad ways of showing them, and to say he showed up at the best time would be very wrong." Molly said slightly bending the truth around the fact that of the situations last night happened because of Twilight showing up.

"You say that like he's a bad looking boyfriend." Jackson said as he made conversation with the bird, trying to pass the time and take his mind off of Jackson, which the conversation subject probably wouldn't have helped him more or less, but it was better than talking directly about Eric, but Jackson decided to shut off his mind and try to focus on the subject at hand.

"Well when Twilight talked about Koji's figure, I sensed I massive and I mean massive spike of attraction, it's not a surprise, and then when Twilight went and changed Koji's mind settled on quite a nice image on Twilight's body and then he raised his mental shields when he noticed me. However I don't think Twilight would use his nice body to his advantage, so yeah talking about that." Molly said wasting time as she briefly thought about Twilight before snapping herself out of the trance it put her in and got back on the right side of the road.

"Please Molly, control your hormones you only see my mental image of Eric what only twenty times, and the same of me from Eric another twenty, and so please censor your mind to all the male action being put up in your face. God that sounded quite pretentious when it comes out of my mouth." Jackson said before deciding to shut up again and focus back on the mission.

"Ok, were almost there see if you can..." Molly said as she turned on the intersection to Interstate 15, words failing to come out of her mouth as she looked up to the building and attempted to come up with words that she couldn't even explain. It was like the night sky was ripped out of its place and placed around the apartment complex, she could see constellations as she looked up as the sphere around the complex. She and Jackson looked in awe as they tried to figure out how afternoon could do that.

"The stars, ripped out of the sky, shining in the brightness of day. How is this possible, what kind of monster would be able to do that. What kind of monsters are we dealing with?" Jackson asked as he looked mesmerized in the dark night sky covering the complex.

...

"Koji I think I found it, come here!" Twilight yelled as he put his hand on a door, feeling it and mentally scanning it as he tried to confirm his results. Koji came running down the stairs and found himself back at Twilight, as the shark instinctively looked at the door and then through the window, pulling himself away from the horrors that were inside.

"Don't look inside; there is something terrible going on in there." Koji said as he realized that the Kagens were something terrible and horrible. Twilight grabbed the door knob and prepared for entry. "No don't go, we can do this other ways."

"No, I have to enter and confront whatever horror afternoon has cooked up for this occasion, this is my promise to you and the entire Earth, I will protect you from all unholy Kagen Powers, that dare to harm you." Twilight grabbed the knob and turned it, opening the door as he walked into the room.

As he entered the apartment, he looked around. The entire room was a horrible color of purple, the room dark and eerie. He looked around and tried to figure out what was causing the horrid darkness around the apartment. Twilight found himself blasted by a dark energy, searching his mind and putting him one trail as it made him relive his worst moments.

...

"This is the final solution!"

...

"Earth shall fall for the Kagens to rise again!"

...

"We can no longer live, so perhaps we break down to basic evolution stages in order to break down the dimensional walls."

...

"The black book is wrong, I shall take it. The dimension of the shark is now sealed off!"

...

Twilight screamed as he was bombarded with terrible and horrible memories from his life. He put his hands on his head trying to form a mental shield on his head. He drunkenly walked around the room, trying to stop the mental assault on his head. Finally someone grabbed him by the waist and picked him up, before pulling him out of the room and back onto the apartment balcony.

Twilight breathed as he tried to forget the horrible memories, re-raising his mental clouds hiding everything he needed to forget behind a fog preventing him from re-accessing them. Twilight opened his eyes and took a few breaths as he reorganized his mind trying to figure everything back out.

"Koji, you saved me, lucky you have that mental shield." Twilight said groaning as he rubbed his hand in Koji hair. He felt the shark's tiny orange hair and grabbed the bar of the balcony pulling him up as he looked at the door of the apartment getting slammed closed by it. Twilight recovered and needed to figure out a plan on how to handle the apartment.

"OK, I'm going to check the other apartments, this is getting too big, Jackson and Molly should be here any second now." Koji said as he walked along the apartments, checking inside and making sure the dark aura didn't appear in any of them. He saw the elevator and decided to skip taking the stairs for once. He pushed the button and the elevator doors opened, Koji walked in trying to scan for any dark energy.

The elevator doors closed and suddenly the light flickered on and off. Koji realized that the elevator might not have been a good choice and tried to rip the door back open. He looked around and tried to find sources of energy but found himself without any source. The elevator rumbled and then suddenly the elevator started to fall towards the ground.

Koji realized what the elevator was going to slam into the ground and he put his hands on the floor and his legs against the wall. As the elevator continued falling Koji wondered how far the elevator could go before it slammed against ground but then he was slammed into floor, absorbing the impact and crushing the metal carriage around him.

"Oh god, Twilight, whatever belief doesn't send me to hell these days, did I die again?" Koji asked as he looked around himself. He got off his hands and looked at the door. Deciding see for himself he used the energy from the landing, he ripped open the door and looked around.

"Oh god I died, again for the third time." Koji said to himself as he looked around, it was like he was in some sort of dark hell around the elevator. There was no way that this could fit in the basement or underground his future apartment. He looked around in the dark void trying to figure out where he was or what he could even do but he had no idea.

He curled himself up as a cold wind blew through the void and cooled Koji off a bit too much. Koji looked around this nightmarish area and he realized that he was completely lost and no one was coming to get him now. He put his hand on the cold floor and sat down hoping his death alone would come quickly.

...

"Twilight where the hell is Koji?" Jackson said as he walked up the stairs, for some reason the elevator was out of service so they had to take the entire twenty flights of stairs to the top of the apartment. Twilight looked confused as Koji should have meet up with Jackson and Molly as they came up the set of stairs.

"I don't know, he went to check on the other apartments, shouldn't you have seen him when you came up?" Twilight asked thinking when Koji would have crossed their paths. "Did you guys try to take the elevator when you came up?" Twilight knew that they would have taken the elevator when they came up, but he figured that Koji also might take it.

"No when we came up the elevator it was out of service, nothing came and the button flashed red when we clicked it." Molly said as she explained what was happening. "I can't feel Koji, as in I can't feel him at all, I could normally feel his mind or mental shields."

"Shit." Twilight said putting his hands on his face. "I shouldn't have let him go, Afternoon probably didn't kill him, and he's just trolling with us. I'm going to have to get Koji, you two go in there. Molly use your powers, you might be able to break control over whatever was transformed."

"Yeah, let's go Jackson." Molly said as she looked at the door wondering what kind of evil could have possibly caused this darkness. She was dumbfounded at that kind of possibility and knew she and Jackson would have to be very careful with that kind of mission.

Jackson grabbed the door handle and Molly prepared to be bombarded by some sort of psychic force when they entered. The orca opened the door, pulling himself out of the way and letting Molly enter first as she went in to investigate. She raised a mental shield in front of her; a clear white shield formed in her hand and blocked any psychic waves coming at her.

Jackson entered and stood behind Molly as she walked forward with her mental shield into the darkening apartment. As they walked deeper into the apartment in became clear that something bad was happening, the lights in the apartment were dimming as they got closer and closer to the end of the living room.

Jackson looked down looking for anyone that might have survived, as Molly was stuck looking forward and his blood boiled when he saw as clear as day a splat of red on the carpet. He followed the liquid stain and Jackson's heart snuck when he saw two dead bodies lying on the floor embraced.

The orca walked towards them, hoping to see if any of them survived the apartment. He was attacked the mental waves suddenly.

...

"You are completely and totally useless, and they expect you to lead an Outsiders team, they'll all idiots, and you're the biggest of them all."

...

"You think you won, multiple people died! What you experienced what a complete failure, you can never win if innocent people die."

...

Jackson wobbled back into the mental shield, as he got angry with himself for letting the two people died. He tried to hide those horrible slightly repressed memories in his head, the memories that always influenced him, and the ones that would always haunt him.

"We need to stop whoever is causing this; they are completely and totally evil." Jackson said as they continued walking down the room, slowly and taking one step at a time. He looked around, hoping to see no more bodies in the room. He slightly came down as he saw no one else in the room, but whoever did this was horrible.

"What did you see? I can feel it around me, horrible memories following us trying to infect our mind." Molly said as she cringed at the pressure of the waves against her mental shield, nearly pushing her back. She tried continuing on but the more she did so, the more it hurt.

"I saw my... No he doesn't' deserve to be mentioned, he got was he deserved." Jackson said becoming quickly quiet as he tried to cover up what was happening. He looked around and tried to figure out what was happening. Jackson looked around trying to forget the horrible memories.

Molly reached the end of the hallway and make sure that she turned slowly, in order to make sure that enough of Jackson was covered. Jackson patted her on the back as they walked forward, Molly tracking the source of the energy; it would be right along the next room's wall. She looked around confused by the room's decor.

There were pink splats of paint alone the wall and tiny drawers and little toys over the room. She looked around the room, and then she found the source of the energy. Molly was so shocked she nearly dropped her shield, she looked at it and Jackson looked at it and they knew that she couldn't do anything about it. She looked down at it and knew that they would be screwed, down in a cradle a tiny baby looking straight at them like the devil.

...

As Molly and Jackson worked on the apartment, Twilight went on to save Koji's soul. He walked to the elevator, he knew Afternoon was fucking with him, the wolf wouldn't dare to touch one fin on Koji's body, they both knew what the consequences of that would be.

Twilight walked over to the elevator and when he pressed the button, the button flashed red as the computer returned an error. He put his hands on the door and pulled the doors apart and he looked at the bare elevator shaft and as he looked up and down the shaft there was not an elevator box in sight.

"Well then, as they say dare to be badass." Twilight said as he jumped onto the elevator shaft, landing on another metal frame. He continued jumping to the other side and traveling down the shaft towards the button. When Twilight reached the bottom, he closed his eyes and let go falling down for what felt like miles.

He screeched in pain as he landed on the top of the elevator, he nearly fell off, but kept his balance as he realized that he broke his ankles. With an orange glow, his ankles healed and gave off a burst of regeneration energy.

Trying out his new ankles, Twilight jumped off the elevator as Koji ran towards him quickly embracing him as he rejoined him. Koji almost started crying as he let out his emotions by hugging the smaller shark. He grabbed Twilight and twirled him around as he exhumed happiness. However, Koji put Twilight down as he realized that hell was over.

"Oh god, oh you, I was so alone five hours all alone stuck in this nightmarish realm, time must move faster for you than me. I missed you so much, so, so much, I never thought I'd see you again. Oh god, I'm so happy. I think I have some abandonment issues, I need to work out, but don't ever leave me again." Koji said nearly jumping up and down with joy as he saw Twilight again, he felt so alone and Koji needed to see someone again.

However, Twilight was shocked as when Koji let go the nightmarish area flashed and suddenly Koji appeared again, this time older about twenty five, slowly crawling towards Twilight on the floor. The Kagen shark looked shocked as he viewed the older shark approaching him, but tried to take it in stride.

"You abandoned me, I will kill you until you can't fucking regenerate!" Koji yelled as he grabbed something off the floor and quickly ran towards Twilight, before the world flashed again with Koji stopped right before hitting Twilight looked shocked as Koji appeared to him.

"Kill Twilight, Kill Twilight, Kill Twilight, Kill Twilight, Kill Twilight, Kill Twilight, Kill Twilight, Kill Twilight, Kill Twilight, Kill Twilight, Kill Twilight, Kill Twilight." Twilight looked around searching for the source of the voice. He found a thin and braille Koji, rocking himself on the elevator box, trying to cope with abandonment. He looked about seventy-five, with a long grey beard on his face.

It flashed again and Koji disappeared as instead, messages of Kill Twilight, Kill Twilight, Kill Twilight, appeared over the elevator box written in dry blood. Twilight swallowed his spit as he walked around the box, looking for Koji. He nearly screamed when he saw a dead shark lying against the box, he ran over and looked at the barely recognizable Koji.

Twilight started to cry and mumbling words as he looked at Koji quickly decompose around his hands, slowly turning into a skeleton and then dust that fell through his fingers. Twilight began full out crying as he fell to the ground and started to push himself away from the dead Koji.

"Koji, Koji, Koji! No! I failed; no he was my only friend! Koji, no, don't go, don't go!" Twilight said putting his fingers through his hair, and over his eyes rubbing tears out of his eyes. He was terrible; he lost the first and only human friend he had. He pushed himself away from the elevator box, until he hid himself against his head.

Twilight looked around, and found himself in a dark and horrible room with a bad aura. His head was against a drawer and Koji's alive and young body was spread against his. The horrid thoughts of the room were stopped, and he noticed Molly's mental shield.

Twilight picked up Koji's heavy body and started hugging it, hoping that he would never have to live Afternoon's nightmare again. He shook Koji and woke the large shark up, getting Jackson's attention as he ran over to the two and helped them up.

"Good you two are back, we need help we have no idea what to do, and Molly can't snap Afternoon's control." Jackson said somberly knowing what that could possibly mean. Twilight and Koji squeezed out of the drawer corner and walked over to a cradle.

"You monster Afternoon, children are not weapons." Twilight said as he leaned against the cradle and looked at the almost demonic baby. "If you can't cure it, we have to get a stronger empath. If not the only way would to break the connection and we need to kill Afternoon for that, but we need him on Earth for him to die." Twilight said.

"What does that mean?" Jackson said angry that Twilight was giving up so soon on Afternoon's possessed baby.

"We are in condition to fight a Kagen God as powerful as Afternoon, we are lucky that he wasn't able to summon his kind or else we would have to face a million werecrocodiles, Eric was nothing. He is most powerful in his dimension; we need to get him to Earth, where he would be the weakest."

"And what about the baby, we can't you know, we do have morals." Molly said hoping that Twilight would never suggest such a horrible thing, she has seen so many bad things from Twilight's memories, but he wouldn't do that.

"No, no. You've seen my memories, what we need to do is get a basic containment team in here. I can show them how to block out the babies powers and they would need to put it somewhere, preferable illuminated." Twilight said somberly as he grabbed Molly's shield and bended it, putting it over the baby and allowing them to think.

"Sometimes... There's nothing you can do, for now when Afternoon comes to Earth, that's when all of this ends and Koji I'm sorry to you and myself, that I can't fix this and that I let my emotions get out control when Afternoon, kind of metaphorically killed you." Twilight said directly to Koji petting the shark on his head somehow.

"No that's ok, we all make mistakes and even you a god can't control everything, but your emotions didn't get out of hand that just means they were all the more real." Koji said as he grabbed Twilight again and hugged him. They all looked down as they tried to figure out what they did.
