Welcome to the second chapter, hopefully some of you will return and read this so do enjoy.
Chapter Two: Desert Oasis, Part Two
The were-crocodile seemingly got what he wanted and threw Twilight off to the side, bouncing him off another set of laser beams and into the ground. Twilight groaned as his body started to emit a yellow glowing fire-like energy. He stood up and looked at his hands.
"Don't worry about me, I'll be fine, just getting aw...ayyy!" Twilight's words turned into screams as he raised his arms up and his entire body was engulfed in the energy. It blasted away from his arms and head, pushing back the were-crocodile. Twilight's entire body was engulfed in energy and Koji was pushed back against the ground as he viewed the explosion of energy.
The energy interfered with the lasers, knocking them off and destroying the cage as quickly as it formed. The large metal plate flew away like a piece of paper as Twilight regenerated. The were-crocodile took advantage of this and was blown and ran away at the same time. With the cage gone the energy was free to spread and lit up the night sky.
Twilight's face burst out like lava from an eruption, glowing brightly and morphing like tectonic plates. With one final burst of energy the process stopped and a new Twilight appeared in the street. Koji and Jackson stood up and looked at the new Twilight and the escaped were-croc.
Koji ran to the stairs of his apartment complex and found a lit light bulb. Not caring about the heat, he quickly unscrewed the light and touched his finger to the blue port. He breathed in and electricity followed into his body. Not hurting him, he simply took in the energy and let it build up in his body.
Koji felt that his available energy was sufficient and walked away from the light bulb and ran towards the werecrocodile. Luckily there was only one exit out of the apartment complex and Koji gave a look towards the crocodile telling him his intentions.
Jackson managed to get himself up and also managed to get a gun pointed at the crocodile. Feeling that he was being backed into a corner, quite literally the werecrocodile put an escape into action. Quickly jumping up with all of his leg muscle, he reached the second level of the building and grabbed the fire escape. Before the fire escape could be pulled out of the wall, the beast pulled himself to another and another as Jackson tried to fire at him but found the crocodiles speed to quick. Bullets managed to hit right below the crocodile as he reached the top of the building, pulling himself over and escaping.
What was most disturbing was however, when Eric looked back over the edge completely untransformed but with the wildness in his eyes. He laughed at the group and left before Jackson could stop hesitating and fire a shot.
"Ok, their Twilight, or whatever the hell your name is, tell me who that fuck is that because that is not my fucking boyfriend." Jackson said as he rationally, at least in his mind, placed a gun right up to the Kagen's head. "You've already survived death once today, why don't we test that out once again."
"Jackson, stop it your irrational!" Koji yelled as he grabbed Jackson and pulled the gun away from Twilight's head. "Explain." Koji commanded pointing at Twilight as he tried to calm Jackson down.
"Well your boyfriend is being controlled by a ruthless and evil spirit from beyond your world, known as Afternoon. When he killed me, I underwent a process to heal my body but the energy to do so was gone and instead I had to change my entire brain and face to live and thus my personality. If you listen to me we might be able to get to Afternoon and free your friend." Twilight said explaining himself to Koji and Jackson.
Suddenly another car pulled up into the apartment complex and Koji recognized it as the outsiders van which was confirmed when Molly stepped out of the van. She walked up to the group and joined the situation.
"Oh god, Jackson's on an irrational fit." Molly said as she examined Jackson's mind and tried to find what was causing problems as well as catch herself up with the situation. Her hand glowed with a purple aura and her eyes changed to the same shade of purple as she used her powers on Jackson.
"Ah low level, high functioning empath. I haven't seen one of you in a while." Twilight said as he purposely held out his left hand, to bring out Molly's right. As they shook hands with Molly's glowing hand, Twilight transferred a few of his memories to help her understand the situation and get her on his side.
"Wow! What was that, you just gave me memories, and with my hand, my mother said that hands could be used but only with someone that was trained." Molly said speaking with excitement as she found someone with psychic training that understood her.
"While not all Kagen learn empathic and psychic powers, they teach it in school to help us communicate with them, and literally in school." Twilight said giggling with glee as he talked to Molly, "And here's something for your training, communicating thoughts with someone is like opening a door, but an open door can be looked through both ways."
"Ok, we'll have to talk about that later, right now Mr. Irrational needs some dealing with." Molly said as she turned towards Jackson and petted orca on his head.
"It's not irrational, you're irrational. Why do you trust him, the shark just appeared and now he's acting like he's a part of the team." Jackson said slurring his words and tears coming out of his eyes. Jackson seemed like he was in a catatonic state, that he couldn't handle the loss of Eric, even if he was taken away. While he had the right to be saddened, he still had to lead.
"What?" Koji said to Molly pulling her aside and trying to figure out what was happening. She giggled when she saw him as if she knew information that he didn't and was withholding it.
"I can see it Koji, your destiny, your legacy and it's amazing, Twilight's memories opened up a look into the future, I can see it and how we all play into it. Somethings are fuzzy and I can't figure it out but there will be sacrifices, but Twilight will help you even if he doesn't know what I know, even if there will be sacrifices." Molly said suddenly getting into a somber mood, and looking up toward the roof Eric was previously standing on.
Molly walked away from Koji, leaving the shark confused as she returned her attention to Jackson, who looked like he was five seconds away from enter fetal position. Molly ducked down and looked into Jackson's eyes, scanning him as her eyes changed to purple and the aura appeared around her hands again.
"Sorry Jackson, I know you don't enjoy when I negate your emotions but you're kind of being not... un... your not being helpful to the situation." Molly said as she formed a bubble around her and Jackson. The orca was affected by the bubble as it negated his emotions and put him back to normal. He wiped the tears away from his eyes and stood up.
"Ok, first off time for some advanced interrogation methods, Molly, Koji grab him were going to get all, the information out of this bastard that we possibly can out of him." Jackson said as he tried to intimidate the shark as best as he could, being an orca about a foot smaller than the shark. He instead most of looked like Napoleon throwing a temper tantrum.
"Advanced interrogation, that's funny. I've lived through hell for the last seven years, every day I went through the process, as they tried to figure out where I hid a black book. Luckily I won the lottery with this face, about 18 years old biologically, nice amount of meat on the bones. No genetic defects, I say I got pretty lucky with this one." Twilight said as he examined his new features, and he didn't see what was on the face that was for Koji to see.
At this point, Twilight's middle age figure was gone and he had a thin and tall frame, and seemed to be the second tallest in the group, at least standing at six foot, seven inches. His thin greying hair disappeared and his hair was long, black and shaggy. His face looked young and aloof, full of life and bright blue eyes. For a shark he looked pretty fine, and had Koji not been focused on the task at hand, he might have been drooling.
Koji felt a bit out of his league around the shark, he too had meet on his bones, as well as fat and few other materials in his body. While he wasn't morbidly obese, he had a belly and broad figure but he was quite tall at six foot, eleven beating even Twilight, so it all evened out. But his worst features were his cheek dimples and his bright orange hair that he regularly shaved to keep himself bald or at least short; right now he didn't feel ashamed about it and keep it at about an inch tall. Luckily he had dark blue skin, so didn't look that horrid.
Eric was a red and brown wolf, for all that was currently worth, but Koji could vividly remember Eric's face with the abnormal evil look, staring down at him and Twilight. He had brown short hair and had a little muscle definition, he was the closest thing to a team nerd that they had, but he was the most trained. Unfortunately now he was a massive crocodile.
Jackson was the black and white orca, and the proud leader of the team. He stood up at the shortest with five foot, seven. He was devoted to his team and had bags underneath his eyes, showing his hard work and devotion to the law. While he seemed like a hardass, he had the best interest for his team and their safety.
Molly was the final member of the team and bright and bubbly toucan. While covered by clothes she was covered by bright blue feathers, light and flexible as a feather too. Her beak was smooth and bright yellow and she had long curled black hair.
"Now then, I shall willingly go with you and answer your questions, we shall go up to Koji's apartment and their questions shall be revealed." Twilight said as he turned towards the stairway and started walking. "Come on then!"
Koji shrugged at Twilight's strange acting and decided to follow along, followed by Jackson and Molly as they walked up the stairs of the apartment complex, as the rain started again and they took the elevator to the twelfth floor and entered Koji's tiny two bedroom apartment, of which the living room was filled with Eric's extra computer equipment that Koji hooked up to form a somewhat decent computer. In his second bedroom, there was supposed to be a bed but it lost in messes of multiple piles of every outsiders file pre-computer age, trying to track if any one had ever had his powers or even to see if he could find a relative. If there was a bed in there, it was long gone.
"Ok, changing." Koji said as he walked into his bedroom shutting the door, as he had put his outsider's jacket over pajamas when Twilight and Eric appeared. Now at least ten o'clock at night, he figured he needed better clothes if he was going to track down Eric in public.
"Ok." Koji walked out in his better outfit, still with his black outsider's jacket over everything. He had a thin black and white checkered shirt and tan cargo shorts, perfect for the nice hot nights in Las Vegas. As he walked out everyone looked at him and then back to Twilight.
"Well then, these don't fit me anymore, so if I may, Koji do you have any clothes that might fit me?" Twilight asked as he noticed his ragged clothes that looked burned and no long fit him. Jackson made a look at Koji and then to Molly, but mentally he decided to allow it. They were not under direct attack and they should at least look the part.
"In the closet." Koji said as he pointed inside his room, followed by Twilight entering and closing the door as well. Five minutes later, Twilight exited wearing a pair of cargo shorts as well and a grey tee-shirt, on top of that was a black hoodie and over that was a stripped grey waistcoat with gold and silver buttons.
"That is a strange costume, where'd you get that from Koji?" Molly asked as she examined Twilight's new look, laughing a bit.
"Eric cosplays." Koji said as he walked out of Twilight's way and made room for him by sitting on the couch.
"God, the Sixteen Doctor's costume and all the ones after really lost their shit, but this is his best. I can't believe that he doesn't have any of the originals." Twilight said as he rubbed of a few pieces of lint
"He stores a lot of his stuff in your house, and that really looks good on you, either way now can we talk?" Jackson said groaning as he was tired of his time being wasted when he could be looking outside for Eric. He put his hands on his head and wondered how this became so messed up. That wasn't his plan, he never believed in a god yet now someone was claimed to be one and saying that another was controlling his boyfriend.
"Ok then, were already did everyone prepare, everyone have their flash cards and their subjects ready, because please then ask away. I am an open book as they say." Twilight said as he sat down on the couch, getting comfortable and waiting for the questions to fly at him. Everyone waited a few seconds, thing about how they wanted to phrase their questions right and get good answers.
"9 years ago?" Koji said stuttering with his question as he talked to Twilight. Everyone looked around wondering what that meant and what Twilight would answer. It was a make or break moment and if Twilight answered wrong he would probably be thrown unceremoniously off the balcony. Everyone could tell by how intense Koji was acting about the situation.
"Nine years ago, I tried to escape from, the Kagen World with a black book, this." Twilight said slowly as he reached into his jacket and pulled out what must have been a plain book, neatly packed and made with a gold brazel and a silver binder. It shined with a black aura and gave off a horrible feeling. "See the Kagens, have this grudge and they want to take back the Earth psychotically, but past me doesn't like that and decides to give the Earth a protector."
"He's not lying." Molly said after a few seconds of silence that seemed to be dedicated to her using her powers on Twilight.
"Continue." Koji said as he took in the information given to him, trying to figure out what Twilight was doing with him. He honestly had no idea on why he had to be involved in the situation, he didn't need the outsiders involved in another convoluted situation, and he could only handle three of those at a time.
"Ok, I escape and get the black book. No one else knows how to use it, and I escape the dimension, but first I need to lock onto the largest energy source. That would be you, and that's why I appeared outside the orphanage. My mind was all rumbled for a while, and I needed to get every straight in my head." Twilight said as he remembered what happened nine years ago. Koji nodded and took a breath of acceptance. Molly looked calm and Jackson was trying to wrap his head around the story.
"Outsider files reports state that on that date, Koji was found in an empty diner with a massive hole in the freezer door, care to explain?" Jackson asked as he took over the questioning, looking particularly smug as he asked the question that he felt would give Koji a reason to throw Twilight out.
"Well at that point, the black book pulled an energy reversal because I missed one page and pulled me back into the void, I'm guessing that I knocked the door closed which melted due to the radiation from the opening tear." Twilight said making the same smug face as Jackson when he realized that he outwitted the orca. "So than any more questions?"
"Who the hell took over Eric, and how many more werecrocs are going to rise in the city?" Jackson asked as he tried to get Twilight stumped on a question. Koji and Molly groaned as they realized that Jackson's ego had taken over and it wouldn't stop until he proved his dominance.
"None, Afternoon, the Kagen God of transformations, can only control one person at a time. He won't have enough energy to transform anymore people for a month and by then he might not be threat to us anymore." Twilight said smoothly as he explained the situation, pushing Jackson more and more, trying to see how far his ego would go before things got physical.
"Ok, Jackson stop it he has an answer for everything you can say, you're just going to keep adding more fuel to the fire, so stop it before I have to. But otherwise, good questioning." Molly said trying to get Jackson to realize how pigheaded he was acting; he rolled his eyes as she talked to him.
"Now, then to the current situ... we need to find the were-crocodile... he can be found if we rever... and then..." Twilight said slowly pacing himself as he grabbed his head and started to wobble. The shark stood up and tried to walk towards the door, suddenly starting to lean. Koji ran up and grabbed him keeping him from falling on the floor. Twilight groaned, making slurred words before pushing Koji away.
His body lit up and another burst of orange energy exited his body, moving a few magazines off their tables and shaking the apartment. He screamed as he fell back on the ground and hit the floor. Everyone looked shocked as Twilight released energy.
...
Eric or Afternoon giving his body instructions needed to find Twilight again. He couldn't remember where they would take Twilight. He figured if they were a gang or a club they would have a central location, he needed to find where it was. He smelt Twilight's exit from the dimension, which was weak and he could smell the release of regeneration energy, which was strong. He knew that Koji's apartment complex was nearby but he wouldn't barge into any random house, he needed to be sure of Koji location.
He smelled around using the wolf's powerful nose to get closer and closer towards Koji and Twilight. Normally when controlling someone their memories would available and he could use that to track down the house; however it was if Eric mentally blocked his own memories to prevent them from being accessed. Eric was smart and witted; he just needed to get full brain control.
He smelt something in the air, it was familiar. His brain went wild as he recognized Twilight's regeneration energy; he must have had a second burst of energy. His instincts took over and he quickly transformed into a werecroc, running on all fours and over buildings as the smell became stronger and led him straight to the source.
He found an apartment complex, not realizing that they took him nowhere and instead jumped out towards the smell and towards an apartment. He braced himself as he knocked into the apartment, taking out the metal gate and ramming himself into the wall, knocking it down and allowing himself access into the building.
Koji looked frightened as Eric broke down his wall and slammed his body against his table, crushing it and putting him a foot away from Twilight. Molly screamed as Eric, stood up grabbing a large piece of the table and started to swing it.
"Well, well, well look who returned to get their assed kicked." Jackson said as he pulled out his gun, his real emotions were still blocked and rational thinking would stay above his emotional logic. He pointed his gun at the werecrocodile but wasn't hopeful that the werecroc would react.
"Plan 26A!" Koji yelled as he shuffled and got up, commanding Molly as he ran over to one of his lamps, taking the cover off the lamp as Eric struggled to stand in the apartment, his large nine foot stance, keeping him bent over as he tried to move a couch out of his way and get Twilight. Twilight meanwhile decided to be knocked out a little while more while everyone else was defending him.
Jackson and Molly got their weapons out and pointed them towards the werecroc, standing out of hands reach as they blocked his path to Twilight. Eric noticed their show and laughed with a deep and echoing voice as he attempted to knock a couch out of the way. Koji placed his hand on the lightbulb and held his breath as he absorbed the heat from it, while it didn't burn his hand he still felt the pain from it.
"26A, protecting a non-hostile from a goo-based transformative life form?" Jackson asked as Koji prepared to join the combat against Eric's werecrocodile form. He rethought what he said.
"27B." Koji said as he put his hand forward, his hand catching on fire as he showed off his powers. He walked forward towards, keeping his hand forward and inflamed as he slowly burnt the energy away. It burnt his hand, at least his pain receptors. Koji had gotten used to the feelings of pain in his body, but he didn't enjoy it, it also helped to know he would not be hurt.
"Now then Eric, we know you're in their unfortunately this Afternoon guy sounds like a real son of a bitch, so hang in there and see if you can give us a bit of help." Jackson said as he tried to negotiate with the werecrocodile. They all stood there waiting for the werecrocodile to react, the fact that he was standing there and other actions suggested that he wasn't an idiot.
"I can't sense anything, he's has mental shields over his mind, but Eric's aren't being accessed. I have nothing here but this gun, any ideas?" Molly asked as she attempted to figure out the werecrocodile, having nothing useful in this situation.
"Welllll, I suggest using Jackson's powers, or we could both use our mental powers to overload his mind, or Koji could simply absorb all the kinetic energy from his punches, so we have a few options. But me, I say we go see your master." Twilight said as he stood up, filled with energy pulling the black book out of one of his pockets.
"Now then werecrocodile, if you want this black book come and get me!" Twilight yelled as he jumped over his couch and showed himself to the werecrocodile. The reptilian beast pulled his fist back and sent it forward, Twilight reacted and put both of his hands in front of him, grabbing the punch and stopping it. "Sorry, muscles are still, regenerating ten times as strong for the next hour, but you should know this already Afternoon." Twilight smiled as he grabbed the werecroc's other fist and began to push him backwards, ready to push him out of the apartment. While he wasn't stronger than the crocodile, he was smarter, stronger and smaller and he could use this to his advantage.
Twilight let up his grip, ducked and the werecrocodile pushed over him, Twilight gut punched him before he landed back on the floor in square one. Twilight looked at everyone in the room, and they reacted grabbing the werecrocodile, and keeping him down as Twilight looked over his body.
"Now then kids, play attention this might save your life one day." Twilight said as he walked over the werecrocodile, who looked knocked out. He put his hand on the beast's shoulder and began pressing down. The reptile spammed as his scales and body started to bubble, popping and turning back into red and brown fur, the reptile's body turning back into a normal wolf size and changing into Eric.
"Is that it, is Eric back to normal?" Jackson asked as he looked down at his boyfriend's body, hoping that his nightmare was finally over. Twilight examined the body. Due to whatever magic that Afternoon used, Eric's clothes returned. Twilight turned the wolf's body over and opened his eyes; they were still a dark red and looked evil.
"Nope, not yet we still have one more action to take. We have to go into the Kagen, dimension. I cannot use it to get to Afternoon, so Eric has to take us." Twilight said as he started to shake Eric's body, causing him to wake with a shock. Twilight purposely held out the black book, making sure it was visible as Eric awoke.
As Eric woke up, he saw the book and knew what he had. He jumped up and grabbed the book, even as Twilight keep grip on the book. He tapped the book's edge, tapping the binder of the book. The silver binder and the gold brazel glowed their respective colors, before the entire book glowed a dangerous black. Twilight kept his grip on the book, making sure he had control on the book.
"Come on, we're going to follow him, everyone grab on and don't let go." Jackson command as he entered the circle, each of them grabbing the book, and black auras spreading over their bodies. They all looked at each other as the black aura surrounded them and the view of Koji's apartment disappeared.
They arrived on a floating rock path; it seemed to extend for miles on miles into the sky which was currently green and purple, both colors spinning around in the sky. There appeared to be light and breathable air, but there didn't appear to be any sun in the sky. Koji guessed he was in Twilight's home dimension given the situation that wasn't much of a stretch to guess. Everyone made it, however Eric managed to get the black book off of Twilight, and ran away, turning back into a werecrocodile as he ran into the distance disappearing.
"Where the hell are we shark?" Jackson asked as he switched the gun from Eric, to Twilight once again attempting to use similar techniques to extract information from the shark again. Twilight looked around the sky, as if it looked familiar and then turned towards the gun sighing. He looked disappointed at Jackson for pulling the gun again.
"Were in the Kagen Dimension, now then Afternoon can't escape without getting back here and we are currently in the way of that. We are on the single path to and from his home; he cannot go without killing us." Twilight said as he began walking down the path and following Eric towards Afternoon's base. "Put down those guns, you Earthlings always going straight to violence."
...
"So you have managed to get the black book, back from the traitorous Twilight?" Afternoon said as the large werecrocodile, placed down the black book onto the ground in front of Afternoon, a grey wolf that looked middle aged with some sort of traditional robes covering his body. He was in his area, where his powers were strongest.
It was a floating rock platform, with a monument built to Afternoon and a few decorative pillars. For every Kagen god, their area was like a scenic overlook but instead of looking down on a dam or a nice park they could look down onto the Earth. His area was like one bubble on a larger bubble, the large bubble was where their citizens and worshippers lived.
The small outer bubbles allowed them to access the Earth's universe but only with the black book and only from power amplifying platforms. Earth and her people were more luckily in that universe the black book's power was automatically amplified and they could get to any of the tiny bubbles and get back. The black book itself was a mystical item that was filled with energies from all ten of the Kagen gods, allowing it to drill through the void and protect those within.
Afternoon looked down on the black book and grabbed it from his loyal pet. He looked at it and knew he could use it to invade the Earth. After Twilight took it and shut himself into his own dimension, they were trapped only able to interact with Earth through their powers during very limited times, they could only have a minimal impact on the planet during their turn.
"Good job, I might just have to keep you here. You make quite the excellent warrior, to bad I can only control one advanced life from at a time, except for those little viruses, I can keep those up indefinitely.", Afternoon said reflecting as he then sensed intruders in his world. He looked at the werecroc and his face turned to reflect anger. "You let them in, I told you to keep them away from here!"
"And were here to kick some ass!" Twilight said as he walked in, the outsiders following behind him. The werecrocodile turned around as they made themselves known to the Kagen god.
"And the disgraced god, returns to his home, so soon after he left. You can't do anything, there is no water here. I hope your team has some good moves because you're going to need them to win." Afternoon said as he stood up, walking away from his chair as he prepared to battle the ground. Jackson walked in front of Twilight and made himself known as the leader as he prepared to shoot Afternoon through the head.
"Ah the lonely orca, so far from home. Wanting to return home and shun his boyfriend from the dangerous world, like a bird in a cage. Eric is so much more useful here, where he can be used and lead on his own." Afternoon said purposely pissing off Jackson as he tried to find the orca's limits. Jackson walked forward, entering the circular rock piece as he prepared himself.
"And the little Toucan, flying in skies not yet traveled, yet so tragic her future. And the silent shark sulking, sadly traveling, trying to talk but never able to reveal his feelings for fear of being judge." Afternoon said as he pointed forward, getting ready to start the battle. "Werecrocodile, attack!"
Eric ran forward and the werecrocodile went straight towards Koji, who with his stored fire energy would have made the biggest threat. He jumped and quite magnificently jumped straight over Jackson and Twilight, as both tried to fire at the werecroc. Molly looked frightened as the large beast landed in front of Koji and turned around surprising the shark, as he turned around whipping his tail into Koji.
Koji tried to absorb the impact, but the suddenness of the situation led to him being knocked off his balance and he screamed as he fell off the rock path and into the void below him.
Everyone looked in surprise as Koji was knocked off and looked seemingly like he was going to die. Quite quickly he passed through the purple and green void, leaving a Koji shaped impact mark that quickly was covered up and disappeared like it was never there. Everyone stood silent as they looked at Koji disappearing into the void.
"Go, save him!" Jackson yelled at Twilight, knowing that the Kagen God had no leverage on the team without Koji and he was a Kagen so he might have a clue how to save him. However, Jackson had to suddenly deal with the werecrocodile.
"No, don't do it Twilight, I believe in Koji. He can make it." Molly said as she fired her gun at the werecrocodile, her bullets bouncing off the reptile's skin.
...
Koji felt like he was falling, he felt like it was going on forever. As he passed through the green and purple gas, everything felt very thick. He felt like the gas was a thick cloud of mush, pulling him down further into the void but keeping him up where he could feel everything, a bit like saltwater the more he thought about it. He tried to swim upwards but then the void pulled him down with force, it felt like a trap.
Koji wished there was a way to change his fate; he knew that unless there was a major miracle he was going to be stuck within the purple void for a very long time. He could still breathe, as if the void was purposely keeping him alive to torture him. His mind wandered, he wondered if the void was a living thing meant to be a place for those that disagreed with the gods went to be punished, or those who had bad balance.
He decided to put all his cards on the table, he put out his hands and pulled in mentally. His hands reacted absorbing the energy around him, taking it in and pulling it in. He had no idea what the power would do when he activated but he decided to take the risk anyway. He closed his eyes and held his breath as he activated his powers. His body glowed and he felt the void disappear around him.
Koji opened his eyes as he realized that he was back in the normal world, back in his own apartment. He silently celebrated when he realized that he was back in his own world. However, he then figured that he needed to get back into the Kagen World and bring them back. He didn't have the black book but instead he could possibly teleport back to the Kagen World, if he teleported back he might make it.
He thought about where he wanted to go, which was the requirement for these kinds of teleporting powers. He reactivated his powers and teleported again.
The ride felt kind of bumpy, like trying to go back up a hill but after what felt like a second of loading time he arrived.
He appeared right in front of Afternoon, looking the son of a bitch right in his eyes. He quickly grabbed the black book out of the Kagen's hand, and placed his other hand on Afternoon's face, activating his left over fire energy, hoping to severely burn the god's face as revenge for Eric.
Before the Kagen could react, Koji jumped back and ran the other way with the black book, running towards his friends and making a hand signal to group together. After a second of looking shocked, besides Molly for some reason, she got them to all stand together in a group. He couldn't hear them but if he did he assume that it would have to do with the massive werecrocodile in his way, but he had a plan.
Getting near where Eric was standing, he jumped onto the crocodile. Activating his teleport powers and as they reemerged from the void they were only a tiny skip from the group. Eric was confused and lost his bearings and in the time Koji quickly got around the crocodile and touched hands with Twilight.
"Good to see you again Koji, take us out of here." Twilight said as Koji thought of his home dimension and teleported again. This time purposely he teleported twenty miles outside of Las Vegas. He looked around at the barren desert and saw none of the lights from the city, only a few cacti and the occasional tumbleweed.
"Go be free, run off into the forest." Koji said letting go of Eric, probably against Jackson's wishes but he quickly teleported again before the werecrocodile could wake or Jackson could notice. He teleported once more and finally back to his apartment, using up the last of his teleport energy and knocking him out.
"And we are back" Koji said as he let go of Twilight and took the black book for his own, opening it up and finding it was blank as he sat down on the couch. Everyone he teleported seemed to freeze for few seconds and by the time Koji was comfortable, they unfroze with shock. Everyone stumbled around for a few seconds and finally caught up.
"Koji you're alive good, now where did Eric go?" Jackson said as he got his priorities "straight". Jackson looked at Koji expecting an answer but instead the shark shrugged as to hide that he let Eric go, in his mind it would at least give them a day to get everything straight and enough time to move his apartment, Koji thought as he looked at the massive hole in his wall and the resulting mess.
"No idea, but I think Twilight is going to be helping Koji move into a nice two bedroom apartment, with a considerable amount of storage." Molly suggested with Koji nodding and Jackson groaning. "I believe he will make an excellent addition to the team once you give him the jacket, now its one o'clock in the morning, we should go, put up a shield in your hole and sleep, I'll find you a nice apartment to move into."
Twilight looked wildly as everything worked out well, Molly taking control and telling Koji and Jackson exactly what was happening, without Jackson complaining or whining. They left as Koji went to get a shield generator which might have come in handy during the battle. He set it up and looked at Twilight as he tried to figure out what was happening.
"Well then Koji, I guess this is going to be the start of a beautiful friendship." Twilight said as he walked into Koji's spare bedroom and decided to start his new life in the human world.

"What the hell do you mean there's a massive beast outside killing everyone!" One of Nick Ruby's general said into a telephone as he tried to figure out what was causing the massive amounts of explosions and banging noises outside of the bunker. The general wondered what was happening and then suddenly a wolf came into the bunker as if he was the resurrection of Jesus live.

Afternoon sat pissed at his chair, looking down at the human world and the weak general through Eric's eyes. His fur was burnt off and there was a large Koji sized Black Hand mark covering his face. "I believe both you and me can take down the outsider known to you as Riptide together."
