Folvos's POV
"Volvos, VOLVOS! What's wrong?!" I open my eyes and Andrew is crouched over me. He has grabbed my shoulders and rolled me onto my back, "Volvos you're back! Are you ok? What happened, why were you howling?" he batters me with continuous questions. "My name is Folvos, not Folvos, what happened" I ask a little out of it, "We went to walk down the stairs and you started howling while gripping your head. You fell to your knees and collapsed. I don't know how long it was but you just lay there, eventually you looked like you'd just fallen asleep..." He recounts what had happened he looked like he was going to continue but I heard something that seemed familiar so I stopped him. I listened intently and got to my feet slowly. There it was again, I walked up the stairs and down the hallway towards Andrew's bedroom again. I peek through the door way and all I can hear is... Rose? She is sitting on the bed with her legs hanging off the edge looking around confused. "Rose?" I say sounding super confused, "Folvos?" she looks over to me as I move through the doorway.
"I... Do you know where you are?" I ask her, I mover over by her side and hug her lightly, "No, I thought I was in the hospital? I'm not dead am I?!?!" "You were, no you aren't dead." I start to explain to her about my nightmares, what normally happened and what's happening now. "Hey Folvos I got you... some... water" Andrew walks in and looks over Rose coming to a standstill as he takes this in, "Who is this?" they both say, Rose moving closer to me and Andrew backing out the door slightly. I look between them and put an arm around Rose trying to comfort her. "Rose, this is Andrew, he is a human, Andrew this is Rose, My girlfriend and Ninjin like me." I start looking between the two to make sure nothing bad happens between the two. They both look at me and then at each other, Rose pulls me closer and holds me a little tighter obviously still scared of Andrew. "Would you like some water as well?" AJ asks Rose sounding a little confused and wiry of her. "No... thanks." She says. I hear what sounds like someone knocking on a door, Andrew must hear it too because he puts the glass of water down onto his bedside table, "I'll go get that" he says and heads off towards the front door. "Are you ok?" I ask her wanting to make sure that she is fine, she doesn't respond and just sits there looking confused. "Rose, do you want to ask me any questions?" "Where to begin..." She pauses to think for a second. "If these are your nightmares, then why am I here? How am I here? Why does everything look so realistic? Why can I actually feel you hugging me?" It takes me a moment to register every question she just threw at me after which I begin to answer. "I don't know why you are here, or how you are here, this hasn't happened before, its always only been me and those humans in my dreams. I... I don't know how to answer those last two questions, but I want to try something quickly." I look over Andrew's bedroom and I try to find something small, something he wouldn't notice if it went missing. Over on the wall above his bed he has 2 shelves, on the left shelf is a little statue to some monster about the size of my palm, I stand up and grab the statue down without making any noise or misplacing anything else. When I'm back down I put the statue into my pocket and Rose looks at me strangely, wordlessly I put a finger to my mouth and she looks more confused but slowly nods her head at me.
I notice her ears perk up and she looks around, thinking she could hear something I do the same and that's when I hear some voices from down stairs, Andrew saying something about not being able to come inside and some others saying they need to come it to check something out. I look over to rose and see that she is listening intently her ears flickering to one spot and staying facing that direction, only to move slightly at another sound. I hear some footsteps and then a loud crash is heard, I can't hear Andrew anymore just heavy footsteps coming closer to us. I look over to Rose and she looks to me a bit worried. I try to stay calm so I don't make Rose worry any more but I'm not sure if it works. The footsteps stop and again I put a figure to my mouth, I hear a door opening and face the door with glaring eyes. The door stays shut but I still stare at it, daring it to move. Once I see it hasn't I grab Rose's arm and pull her towards the window gently. Trying not to make any noise I grab Andrew's bag and pull it up over my shoulder, whatever is in there mustn't be useful to Andrew at the moment if he is still alive.
I hear more footsteps still getting closer and to my shock I hear the floorboards beneath me creak. Everything goes silent, the footsteps stop, I stop breathing and even rose stops moving. Everything seems to go into, slow motion, heavy pounding footsteps can be heard throughout the hallway sounding louder as they grow closer, Rose breathing in sharply as she gets starts to run to the window that I'd moved her too, and some crashes as I move stuff in front of the door to slow down... them, whoever they may be. I see Rose move through the window and look around slightly panicked, I follow behind her and jump, landing on my hind paws I hold my arms out. "Jump, there isn't another way." I say to her, "I'll catch you." I try to reassure her but I don't feel too confident on the inside. She looks behind her and I hear a loud bang as they smash the door down, I see her jump forwards and look into my eyes pleading me to catch her.
I run forwards, arms outstretched trying to catch her. I feel her hit my arms and I jump forwards, trying to roll us so it won't hurt as much when we hit the ground. Above I hear people speaking "Suspects escaped through window, probably running through forest out the back of the property however we will sweep around, permission to pursue?" I pick myself up off the ground and run over to Rose, I fall to my knees beside her and bring a finger to my lips telling her to be quiet. "Permission granted, Hope you catch those creatures agents." There is a sound of footsteps running away from the window and I get up offering Rose a hand. "Next time I say catch me, catch me, don't let me hit the ground." She says a little agitated as she takes my hand and pulls herself up. "I hope there doesn't have to be a next time." I reply shrugging before I remember their conversation, "We need to go, they are going to chase us so let's get a head start." I say to her she looks at me still a little annoyed and starts to run with me trailing behind her.
