ARE DREAMS WORTH THE PAIN?

By Carl Blessing/Murphy Slaugh

Is the rose worth the thorns?

Is the blue sky worth the storms?

Is the truth worth the lies?

Are the answers worth the whys?

Are memories worth the sorrow?

Is today worth tomorrow?

Is sorrow worth the bliss?

Can someone answer me this...?

Chorus:

Are the dreams worth the pain?

Do I dare dream again?

Or will it be another nightmare?

How can anyone call this fair?

I don't want to give up hope.

Though, sometimes, I feel at the end of my rope.

Are clear skies worth the rain?

Are the dreams worth the pain?

I have had dreams that have come true.

Thought they've been far between and few.

But the last times I did try,

At the end I had to stop and cry.

I know that this is not the end.

I know that maybe wounds will mend.

But I just don't know for sure.

If dreaming again may be the cure...
