_ Dragon Brother: The Meeting _

9 Years have passed since that day when I woke up to being a dragon. Throughout those 9 years I learned how to be a dragon, learning to think like them, hunt like them, act like them, but through it all I managed to keep my humanity or what was left of it anyway. I was currently watching my sister training to slay creatures like me, it was the family bisness.

However even knowing that she was being trained to potentially slay me I could not help the fact I still think of her as my little sister and a big brother should always lookout for his little sister. My mind went back to looking at my sister as I heard her grunt in pain I stood and watched as my father went to her side and looked at her hand it was a deep gash they quickly wrapped it and rushed her into the house. I waited awhile then reached out to her mind with mine, as our minds touched I felt her build her mental defenses, I could have easily destroyed them but after 9 years of not seeing her I wanted to be gentle to her so I gently called out to her

"Hi it's me"

"Who are you" she gently called back to me.

"It's me Deven"

"how do I know you speak the truth if you are my brother tell me something only he would know."

"Ok how about the time when you grabbed one of fathers swords and began to play with it, and you eventually broke moms vase that her friend had maid for her and i took the blame for you so you wouldn't get in trouble."

"Deven it is you!" " Only you would know that!"

"Yes I rember that day well mom worked me hard to earn the money to replace that vase."

"So where are you?"

"I'm in the woods behind the house."

"I'm cumming out to meet you i haven't seen you in 9 years."

"No i saw you get hurt earlier you should stay and make sure it gets healed before you come and see me"

"but i want to meet you. it's been years since i saw you last"

"I know but you need to be healed first"

"ok but as soon as I'm better I'm going to see you"

I agreed and waited for her to heal in the mean time i talked to her through her mind. True to her word she came to see me when her arm healed, she was nervous when she first saw me but who wouldn't be when you're meeting a dragon for the first time face to face that wasn't trying to kill you. I stood at 15 feet tall and 20 feet long with a 24 foot wing span, my scales were a blackish blood red with a dark orange underbelly, and onyx black talons that were 6 inches long, but the thing that stood out the most was my eyes they were a bright forest green.

We just stood there starring at each other nether making a move as we just took in each others appearance. From my perspective she was quite pretty, she was tall about 6' 1'' and had a pretty good amount of muscle because of her training.

"you've grown since that night" i said

"as have you brother"

"why do you call me brother, I'm no longer human?"

"it's simple i call you brother because you are, weather or not you are human you are still my brother."

after hearing that a single tear fell from my eye and i said "thank you sis, i will always protect you."

POV switch to sister

"WHAT!!!!!!!!!!" father yelled

"i said i am going to start traveling with my brother" i said with a calm voice.

"NO I WILL NOT ALLOW YOU TO LEAVE WITH THAT BEAST!!"

through the mental link i had with deven i could tell he became sad when father said he was a beast.

"HE IS NOT A BEAST" i yelled back at him

after that i mentally told deven to get ready to leave once he said he was ready. i grabbed my bag and ran outside and hopped on his back. and with that he took off at a small run to put some distance between the house and us.

POV switch deven

i was in a light run trying to put as much distance between us and the house as possible. when i finely began to slow it was getting dark so we decided to stop for the night. i kept watch that night making sure nothing would go near her.
