EllenChapter 7 - A Unity "Okay, Okay, Okay, Okay I'm ready." That was probably the 7th time he'd said that. At the moment, Jake was in the church, ready to get... married. Married. He'd said that word at least a million times in his mind, but it never got stale. He going to get married. It was just so... I mean just, WOW! He was going to get married. To Ellen. To... the love of his life, and Jake was incredibly scared. He loved Ellen with all his heart, but this.. this was just... "Jake, for god's sake, calm down!" It was Burnie, one of his friends from the office. Right now, Jake with his friends Burnie, Sean, Caleb, and Shawn inside the groom's room. And, like most groom's, he was freaking out. "Ya man, chill out" Shawn said, sitting on the couch and drinking a beer. "Calm down? I can't calm down! I'm going to make the most important decision of my life! I'm going to make one choice that i could regret!" "I said chill out, not calm down, but that too" "They're the same thing" "No they aren't" "Yes they are" "No they-" "Wait, are you saying you don't love her?" Caleb said trying to get back on topic "What? Of course i love her! I just... what if she..." Burnie then went over to Jake and started shaking him crazily. "Jake, Jake i want you to take DEEP breathes, okay?" Jake nodded and Caleb let go of him as Jake started to breathe deeply. After a few minutes, Jake stopped. "Okay, Okay, I'm ready- I'm okay." "Good, because you have five minutes." "WHAT?!"

"You okay?" "NO I'M NOT OKAY, I'M ABOUT TO BE MARRIED TO THE GREATEST GUY IN THE WORLD AND MY DRESSED IS RIPPED IN HALF!" Right now, Ellen was in her room, with her five bridesmaids. Except, half the room was destroyed, the damaged caused by one angry bride. Just a second ago, the room was calm, the occupants were laughing and helping the lady of honor into her dress when... well, it ripped and Ellen blew a fuse. "Ellen, dear, please calm down, this isn't how Jake would like to see you-" "Jake? OH. MY. GOD. HE'S GOING TO SEE ME AND JUST WALK OUT ON ME, AND GO MARRY A BETTER GIRL, Probably some human..." "Ellen, you look... like, freakin' great! He's going to love ya, girl!" "Real- Sniff R-really?" Asked a near sobbing wolfess "Of course, he's gunna be super amazed, like he's going to fall for you all over again!" Jules said in her happy-go-lucky way" "T-thanks guys, that means alot, I think if given the time, i'll be fine" "Good, because ya got five minutes" "WHAT?!"

Inside a small chappel on a old street in a nameless cozy town, the noise of family members talking over the coming event filled the air. The total of 60 members were awaiting the couple's unity, their bond in the form of marriage. Occasionally a news reporter would try to sneak back in - this was one of the few interspecies relationships that actually got to the whole 'marriage' part. There were a few marriages - human/lion, feline/canine, human/rabbit - those sort of things. And every time the media went WILD, every major station tried to get coverage. "Okay, one, two three-" The conducter began to er, conduct the the orchestra for the band. The people's conversations died down and the flower girl started to come down the aisle - The girl being Jake's nephew. Jake was currently standing by the priest, waiting for his bride-to-be. Then, she came down, wearing a nice white formal and simple wedding dress, it having a silver lining that went well with her fur. She was flashing a large, toothy grin, just so happy. While most would've saw a happy canine, Jake saw an angel. She walked to the podium and stood by the priest - couldn't tell you how hard it was to get a priest who would willingly marry a hybrid and a human. As Ellen walked down, she saw her husband to be. Jake was wearing a nice black tux, white shirt and dark blue bowtie, his hair slicked back, his glasses off revealing his green eyes. He looked quite - as Ellen thought - incredibly amazingly handsome. The Priest then cleared twice - once to get everyone's attention/ stop them from talking about the lovely bride and groom, and twice to find his voice. With that, he began to read the prepared statement: "Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to join this man, Jake Middleson, and this woman, Ellen... What's your last name?" "Middleson" She said with a bit of annoyance "Right. Jake Middleson and Ellen... Middleson, in holy matrimony. Jake, I believe you wrote your own vows, correct?" The priest asked to which Jake gave a nod and pulled a couple white notecards out of his left pocket. As he brought the cheap lined notecards to his face, he felt his hand violently shake. His stomach felt queasy, like he was going to throw up. Right as his lunch was about reach his neck, he looked into the eyes of wolfess and his nervousness instantly went away, and he began his second attempt of expressing his love  for his love. "Ellen..." He said "Ellen, I can never even hope express a precentage of my love for you, but... I can sure as hell as try. I just... I Love you so much. I love everything about you - your flaws aren't flaws at all, they're... little gifts. When you're making breakfast and you somehow find a way to get eggs in five different parts of the room - and somehow on your lower back, too - it makes my morning. When your sneeze that only a mouse could hear launches you off the sofa into the kitchen, that makes my day. I love you so much, and I hope we can spend the rest of our lives... together." "Jake..." She said "Jake, I can't believe how much you make me feel... loved. I remember, when I was in that old companion building, in my tiny, one person room, right next to the hundred other tiny rooms, then one morning, I came out in the commons, and went to my usual corner. As i sat there, reading Harry Potter forth the fourth time, a young, ten year old, crazy boy just came out of the blue and asked to be my friend. From then on, day after day, our friendship grew stronger, and after some time, it grew to more than that. It took me 4 years to realize I loved you, and another 4 to show you my feelings. And the past 7 years have been the greatest of my life. And I hope the next... 50+ years will be even better" "If you two are done, i'd like to begin the ceremony" The Priest said, a bit sternly, I might add. The Priest once again cleared his throat "Do you Take this man, in sickness and in health, in good times and in bad, in joy as well as in sorrow?" He asked the wolfess "I Do" The priest repeated the same thing with Jake, albeit it a bit faster. Appearantly being a holy man makes you pressed for time. "In joy and blah blah blah, you get it" "I..." for Jake, time froze, his adrenaline rush - caused by a single question, no less - caused him to really take in this moment. Here he was getting asked the single most important question of his life: Do you want to spend the rest of your life with your loved one? A million and two problems arose in his mind: Them not being able to have children, both of them losing their jobs, their marriage ending in... divorce. God, he couldn't even think about that last one! As his mind continually created more possible problems that could happen, time seemed to resume it's flow, and he gave his answer "Do." He said with newfound confidence. "Then I pronounce you man and wife. You can kiss her now" The strange priest finished his speech before letting the two lovers kiss. Thoughts still crossed Jake's mind of tragedies and trials, all uncertain if they would happen. But he knew one thing: He just didn't care. END OF CHAPTER 7
