Ryder is pissed when he awakens to find out Fior had used him while he slept. In his fury, he harms her and is forced to bring her to Sam so that he could fix her up. There, Fior asks Sam something that angers him once more. After that, Sam tells Fior more about who Ryder is.

With a snort, Ryder awoke with a great yawn. For a reason unknown to him, he felt quite refreshed, like he has had a restless day followed by a good early sleep. This confused the young man, remembering quite clearly that he went to bed at almost two in the morning. He only shrugged as he whipped the blankets off his body, rubbing his face as he stood up. With a great stretch with his hands going way over his head, Ryder took a step forward only to watch the carpet underneath him suddenly connect with his nose.

"Fucking Owwwww!" He yelped, rubbing his nose. Ryder stood up and checked his nostrils, checking for any signs of blood. Certain there was none, he looked down at his feet where he frowned when he spotted them tangled in his underwear. "What the hell?"

He turned back to his bed and noticed something like a small damp spot where he was sleeping. Ryder went to get a closer look, bending down to take a better look. Clearly, something was obviously spilled there but the question was what was it exactly? It was rather small and he couldn't help but know that he wouldn't have seen it if he wasn't looking for something.

With a frown, Ryder brought his finger down and swiped some onto its tip. He tested its texture and discovered it was a bit like like a thick liquid. Very thick. He brought it up to his nose where he sniffed it cautiously. It had pungent aroma to it, like soft roses strangely. All too curious, he stuck his tongue out and slowly tasted it for himself.

Almost instantly, Ruder recognized the taste and his eyes went wide. The bitter taste was something he recognized (kinky times with ex if you will.) but the other taste was something he knew all too well. It was something recignized.

Something he recognized came only from a woman who had had sexual relief.

Fior was sitting downstairs at the kitchen table, drinking once more. She regretted what she did the previous night but it wasn't because of the idea of her having feelings for him. The dragon was only upset over the fact she used a human to do it. She had had sex before, but the last time she did it was hundreds of years ago. What was she to do, when he was aroused and she had the power to use him to her advantage?

She took another drink, placing the bottle of beer back down with a content breath when she heard a roar from upstairs. Fior only shrugged at this, believing that he may have forgotten to set the alarm for something. The thundering footsteps only confirmed her suspicion.

Once more, the dragon only thought that he was late for something and didn't question the situation until she heard a loud bashing sound. It was like something was falling down the stairs. By that point she was snickering, knowing that the sound was the human falling down the stairs. Soon it turned into laughter, her eyes watering a little.

That is until Ryder slammed the kitchen door open with a mighty roar, where her laugh suddenly stopped. Walking in with a face of fury, Ryder slammed his fists down, causing the utensils on it to bounce. Fior didn't jump or flinch or wince or do anything. She just took another swig of beer before looking up at his face.

When she placed the bottle down, he swept his hand sideways and tossed the bottle to the side where it smashed into the wall. "What the hell?" Fior roared, producing yet another bottle as though from no where. "I was drinking that."

Before she was able to open this bottle, the man took it out of her grasp and tossed it out the window. "You had no right!" He screamed, turning to contemplate her. She only smirked at his outburst, finding it amusing

"No right to what? This house? I thought I made it pretty obvious that this is my la-." she was interrupted when Ryder suddenly threw the table to the side and tackled her, his hand going around her throat just under her jaw. With a loud thump, he slammed Fior onto the wall behind her, holding her there.

"Don't you play innocent with me." He growled, raising his finger up to show something glistening on the tip of it. Fior immediately smelled the all too familiar scent.

"What is that?" Fior asked, trying to keep her voice calm. But her eyes betrayed her, being the size of platters. She damn well knew what was on the tip of his finger, but she thought she got all of it!

"You damn well know what it is." He hissed. "You used me while I slept, you damn perverted dragon!" She only laughed at her.

"No I don't know what you-" Once more, he interrupted her by pulling back and slamming her back into the wall. This time, a resounding snap could be heard and she screamed in pain. Ryder had broken one of her wings.

"Ya know, I expected more from you!" He hissed, his eyes not leaving her now tearful face. "I always thought of dragons as one of the worlds most honourable and wise creatures. And yet here you are, a dragon that murdered someone that cheated on her hundreds of years ago, wallowing like a piece of pathetic shit." He suddenly laughed. "You sure as hell know how to ruin a guys thoughts on your species, I always found what I heard rather attractive! But then I met you..." His laughter died down. "...and I felt a connection, feeling the same pain as-"

"SHUT UP!" She screamed, interrupting him almost immediately. "You have no idea what I've been through! I gave Wilhelm everything and he betrayed me!" Tears began to flow down her cheeks streaming like a river over her black scales. "And for what? A skank so that he could have a child? So I did what I thought was right and tore it all away! I don't care if I'm alone, I don't care if someone cares about me, and I don't care about-"

Fior was stopped when Ryder suddenly brought her down and held her close to him in a tight hold. "Cry." He muttered into the side of her head, gently caressing her slowly. "Don't hold it back, just cry."

For a moment, she was still and pondered why he was suddenly trying to comfort her once more. But then she nuzzled into his neck and began to cry, her body not only shaking but also his strictly for the fact that her trembling was going through him as well. All the while, Ryder's face was dark, devoid of all emotions.

It was sometime later when she finally calmed down and he released her. Turning around, Ryder strolled over to the kitchen door and slowly pushed it open. Before leaving, he turned his still emotionless face back to the dragoness.

"Come on." Was all he said before disappearing with the door closing behind him. Reluctantly, Fior did so and watched as he closed the front door behind him. She followed him still and saw him standing at the truck, the passenger door open.

"I-I can't..." She whimpered only to yelp when he walked over and picked her up suddenly. With Fior in his hands, Ryder walked back to his car and placed her slowly into it, mindful of her injured wing.

"N-no!" She squealed, struggling to get out the truck. Ryder only pushed her back into the vehicle, slamming the door shut. "Please! No one must know of my existence!" He kept himself pressed against the door, making sure she did not get out.

"Your wing is broken." He stated emotionless. "I'm no doctor. I can't let you deal with it on your own. It could become worse." Fior only pounded away in a mixture of rage and fear. He couldn't blame her, Ryder knew that she might be taken away if the government found out. But he knew of someone who could help her.

"Please." He begged. "Trust me on this. I hurt you and I want to help fix it." She looked up and into his eyes, seeing a deep sorrow. But something told her it wasn't just for her safety he was sad for.

After a moment, the dragon nodded and hopped in the back seat where he laid herself down. With a nod of his own, Ryder hopped into his own seat and drove away from his home. Occasionally, he looked in his rear view mirror to look at Fior, her face still showing hints of her sadness.

He turned his eyes back to the road, the city appearing now at Ryder's side. But he paid the sight heed, his mind focusing on the upcoming events. The young man full well knew that Sam wasn't going to be too pleased with this.

A car passed by and Ryder looked up to make sure she was well hidden. He wasn't expected to see her completely gone and almost slammed on the brakes when she suddenly materialized when the car disappeared from sight. So it would appear she had cloaking abilities too. The dragon kept him surprised at every turn it seems.

Sam was doing paper work when his phone went off. Placing his pen down, Sam picked it up and brought it to his ear. "Samuel Ferin speaking, how may I help you?"

He paused and heard a woman's voice speak on the other end of the line. Sam brought his hand up and rubbed his temples at the news his secretary gave him. "Alright, send the damn moron in. If I find out that they opened up because he fell down the bloody stairs..." He didn't finish, just hanged up.

Standing up, Sam made his way out his office door and went down the hall. Taking a turn, he came upon several rooms he and one other doctor used as the checkup rooms. Walking inside one he turned to a coat rack where he grabbed a baby blue hospital gown and tied it tight.

"Alright what happened this time Ryder?" He grunted, walk got the counter where he pulled on plastic gloves with a resulting snap. "You trip down you stairs or-"

"You sound...just like Wilhelm." A voice of a woman said behind him. Sam stopped, his eyes going wide in surprise. Somehow he knew who's voice that belonged to.

Turning slowly around, Sam's eyes only widened when he saw a black dragon staring at him with just as wide emerald green eyes. She looked him up and down, Sam knowing that it was female, before she once agin spoke, this time in awe.

"You even look like him." She muttered. A sudden cough made the two look over at a nearby chair, where Sam spotted Ryder sitting down.

"She uh, has a broken wing." He muttered, scratching at the back of his head suddenly, refusing to meet the mans eyes. Sam sat there stunned, his eyes darting between the two before finally filling with rage.

"I'm going to kill you Ryder!" Sam roared pouncing at the younger man. Ryder yelped and jumped out of his seat, the doctor slamming into the chair. The older man spun about and was about to go after him once more but was stopped when the black dragoness raised a hand up to stop him.

But that did not stop the verbal assaults.

"What the hell is wrong with you, you dumbass?!" Sam roared. "Every goddamn day you do something stupid and just shrug it off. But this..." He suddenly pointed at the dragon. "...this takes the fucking cake! Are you trying to get me killed?! Fuckign du-"

Sam stopped when the dragon suddenly hissed, silencing him. She stared at him with cold emerald green eyes. "Who are you?" She asked coldly.

Sam spat on the floor at her feet. "You damn well know who I am." Sam said. Fior only watched him for several seconds, muttering something under her breath before Ryder spoke up.

"Look, can we all just calm down." He began, holding each of his hands out to them. He turned his gaze fully to Sam, who was still glaring at him angrily. "All we want is for you to fix her wing okay? That's all we need, then we'll leave."

"And why the hell should I help her?!" He yelled again, pointing his finger at Fior. "She killed my ancestor strictly for the fact that he wanted a child! I won't be surprised if she acts innocent now then kills me after I'm done!"

Ryder was angry now. "That was hundreds of years ago!" He shouted back. "After all these years, do you really think she'll go so far as to murder you?!" He suddenly looked at Fior, his eyes filled with the same sorrow as before.

"No." He stated calmly, looking back at Sam. "Not while I'm here." Sam watched him closely before replying.

"Give me your word that you will protect me." He stated, looking Ryder square in the eye who blinked at the request. "Give me your damn word that, should she attack me, you will stop her even if it means killing her."

Ryder sat there staring at him with wide eyes for several moments before shaking his head. "N-no!" He stammered, taking a step back. " I can't do that!"

Sam was about to say something when Fior said something first. "You won't need to." She said calmly, looking at Sam in the eyes. "You are the descendent of Wilhelm Rosepeace correct?" Sam slowly nodded his head, not meeting her eyes. She gave out a sigh then smiled sadly.

"Samuel, I have a request." Fior stated, looking him deep in the eyes when he looked up at her. For a moment she did not not answer, then she took a deep breath.

"I want you to kill me." She stated.

Her words hung in the air like something had died and had sat there to rot for several days. Sam sat there stunned at what she wished and Ryders face went dark.

Suddenly, without warning, Ryder punched her hard in the face. Stunned, Fior watched as he stormed out the room, slamming the door shut behind him. Sam gave out a sad sigh and turned to a medical cabinet where he pulled out bandages and supplies for minor broken bones.

Returning with the supplies, he regarded Fiors wing and told her it was going to hurt. The dragon yelped as he put the bones back into place. Now with that over with, he went to work.

All the while, the black dragoness watched the door, half expecting Ryder to come back any moment. But he didn't and she turned to regard the doctor, blinking when she saw him watching her carefully.

"Why are you helping me?" She asked, incredulously. The doctor only grunted as he bandaged her up.

"Because Ryder would hate me if I didn't." He replied, his eyes also turning to regard the door. "He's a good man. Has a good heart but not a sharp mind. If he trusts you, then I may as well..." The man pulled out a pair of scissors and cut the bandage. "Even if I don't want to."

After that, Sam turned once more to the door. "I take it you don't know much about him either?"

Fior thought for a moment about the strange man that had moved onto her lands. The only thing that popped into her head was how cliche he was and how he...she blushed at the next part. Other then that, the dragon knew nothing about him or his past.

Sam didn't need her to answer, already seeing it on her face. "He used to be an orphan. One of the most miserable actually. Back then, Ryder actually hated everyone. He believed that he would forever be alone."

The doctor stood up and walked over to a nearby sink where he cleansed his hands. "That is until he met his new family. He was so surprised that he was adopted, he had the shocked expression for three days!" Sam sat down into a nearby chair. "He was finally happy until...until a man murdered his mother before his eyes when he was twelve years old."

"His father was away at the time." He continued, leaning back with a sigh. "And when he learned of the death of his wife, he blamed Ryder for it. Can you imagine that? Twelve years old and your adopted father hated you." Sam closed his eyes and smiled. "It was sometime later that he met a girl named Maria. Beautiful girl, the two were married at twenty after a two year relationship." He chuckled then grew serious once more. "Two years after that, Ryder returned to find his own wife cheating on him. Funny thing is that Maria was a slut that dated men only for somewhere to sleep."

He sighed and looked at Fior. "So he was hurt of course, but he took it differently. He just smiled and said: I hope you have a good life, Then left." He gave out yet another sigh. "He felt alone, so many times and yet he never gave up on life. Ill admit, I admire the lads will but that is also why he swore to help people who have no family. He donates often to orphanages, volunteers a lot. Basically he's the perfect role model."

Fior looked down. "I don't know if he went through the same things as you." She looked up at Sam, his small smile reminding her of Wilhelm. "I mean, your the last dragon after all. I can't imagine that kind of loneliness."

Ryder was sitting on the hood of his truck, a cigarette in his mouth while his free hand held him up as he leaned back. He knew smoking was a bad habit, but he couldn't help himself. Since the incident with his wife almost a year and half ago, he just needed a smoke every once in while.

"Smoking can kill ya know." Looking over he saw nothing. But he knew Fior was there, more then likely invisible. Then he saw a shimmer in the air, like during a heat wave over a road.

He smirked. "One of the only things that keeps me calm." He said, looking over when he saw a slight slimmer. "Sam fixed your wing I take it?"

There was only silence and he cocked an eyebrow. "Fior?" He asked. He heard her jump a little, her claws scraping along the grounds. He watched as the shimmer moved more, as though nervous.

"Y-yes!" She muttered. He saw the shimmer move once more. "I'm sorry, I forgot I was invisible and I nodded my head. Not very used to it."

Ryder frowned, sensing something about her that was sad once more. He flicked the smoke to the ground and stomped it out. After that, he turned to the shimmer that indicated where she was.

"Alright, spill it." He commanded, putting his hands on his hips. He saw her shimmer move once more. He knew she was hesitating, he heard her claw rake the ground as she took a step back.

"W-What do you mean?" She asked, trying to be stubborn about the whole thing. He shook his head at her slowly, opening the passenger door so that she could hop in.

"What happened in there?" He asked, closing the door afterwards and continued on when he hopped in. "I mean, now your all nervous around me for some reason. Hell, I'm surprise your not trying to do your 'I'm going to scare you now' thing." He cocked his eyebrow slightly as the black dragoness materialized before his eyes.

Ryder watched as she gave out a sigh. "He told me...about you." He did not smile nor did he frown. He suspected that Sam might have told fior about him, He was just hoping he didn't.

"How can you stand it?" She suddenly asked. He looked in the rearview mirror to see a mixture of emotions on her long face. Ryder gave out a sigh, knowing he should tell her.

"To be honest, I can't." He stated sadly. Fior was shocked, not expecting that kind of answer. It confused her greatly. He seems so happy all the time yet he just told her he can't stand what had happened to him.

"W-What so you mean?" He did not look up at her. "Ryder what do you mean?"

He gave out another sad sigh. "I often contemplate suicide Fior." He looked up at her sadly. "The fact you fucked me while I was sleeping... I wasn't ready for such a thing. My emotions, my mind, I almost wanted to kill myself just on the way to see Sam."

Fior was silent for several moments. Her emerald eyes watched as the small town of Rosepeace disappeared once more. Of all the things to expect, She didn't expect this man to say he often thought of suicide of all things.

"I'm sorry." She muttered, looking down at the seat. Ryder blinked, looking up at her once more. Her head was low, and she seemed quite sad about it surprisingly.

"Thank you." He said, looking back down at the road. "But why did you do it in the first place. I mean, have sex with me?" He saw her froze suddenly. "Y-You don have to answer, that just slipped out."

Fior just continued to look down. "I...looked into your dream." She looked up at him sadly. "I...I lost control. I saw you making love to me and I...wanted to feel it again." The dragon looked out the window at the passing trees, a forlorn look on her face. "I...hadn't felt such an intimate thing for years."

He remained silent, not knowing what to say. But he wanted to apologize to her as well. "I...want to apologize too." He began, not looking up at her. "I broke your wing out of anger. That was wrong of me and I'm sorry."

They remained silent for several minutes. "Don't think this changes anything." Fior suddenly brought up, looking up at him with a determined look. "I'm still going to get you off of what rightfully belongs to me!"

Ryder chuckled at her, wiping a tear from his eye as he replied. "That reminds me, why'd you bring your nest into the house?" She held her nose up in a snotty manner.

"Because I live there when no human is." She opened an eye and looked down on him. "And since I know your going to be hard to get rid of, I decided to move back in."

He laughed as he pulled into the driveway. "We'll I sure as hell hope you don't turn down dinner from me." He said, turning the car off before he looked back at her with a smile, his arm behind the seat. "Come on, it's the least I can do after what I did."

Then he hopped out, opening her door as well before he disappeared into the house. Fior gave a sigh. He was annoying, but...he certainly was a nice one. Suddenly giving out a small smile, the dragoness hopped out and closed the truck's door behind her with a flick of her tail.

And for some unknown reason, Fior felt that she was going to miss the human. That is, after she scares him shitless and he runs away like the coward they all were.

The Rosepeace Legend CH 4

With a yawn, Ryder awoke feeling rather refreshed. Looking at his digital clock on his bed stand, he saw that it was ten forty in the morning on Saturday. That meant he had no work, but he wanted to get up anyway so that he could do something about...
