Melanie dropped the kids off for Michelle Edwards' birthday party, and waited in the car until they were safely inside. Hannah and Ryan went to the front door and knocked, each carrying a wrapped present, and with a small backpack held loosely in one hand, containing what they needed for an overnight stay.

Michelle opened the door and started jumping up and down excitedly shouting "They're here! They're here! Oh! You both look so pretty!"

"Happy birthday, Michelle!" Hannah said with a slight giggle, hugging the Corgi and handing her the present she was carrying. "Your hair looks really nice today!"

"Yeah. Mom and dad got me the new wig that they promised me. Isn't it great?" Michelle replied.

"It sure is! Happy birthday, Michelle!" Ryan said handing the corgi her other present and kissing her on the cheek.

"Wow! Did you wear a dress just for me Ryan?" Michelle asked, with one arm around Hannah's waist, and staring in wonder at her tomboy friend. "I don't think I have EVER seen you in a dress before!"

"I know I sure haven't," said Darrin McIntyre, as the 12 year old wolf boy came up behind Michelle. "You look fantastic, Ryan! And you're very pretty too, Hannah!"

"Well, I did it mostly for you, Michelle," Ryan replied, "But I also wore a dress to make it easier to convince daddy to allow Hannah to come here in a dress too. See, I told daddy I wouldn't wear a dress unless Hannah got to wear a dress too."

"Well you both look great!" Michelle said. She waved at Melanie and said, "Thank you MS Kelley! See you tomorrow!" The kids all waved as Melanie drove away.

"Tomorrow?" Darrin asked.

"Yeah, we girls are havin' a sleepover tonight, after my party," Michelle said. She winked at Darrin and asked, "You could still call your mom an' tell her you wanna stay and play dress-up and play with my dollies with us. Hummm?"

Darrin smiled and shook his head. "I'll pass. I don't mind wearin' my kilt, but I draw the line at bras and panties! Well, sound like you luck out again, Hannah. "Hullo," Julian said as he paused the game. "Nice to meet you, girls."

"Ryan? In a dress? No way!" one of the bunny girls exclaimed as she saw what the collie was wearing.

"It is Ryan! Wow! You look so different in a dress! Really great!" said the other bunny. "And you look really nice too, Hannah. I met you at the Samhain party, didn't I?"

Julian looked from Ryan to Hannah and back again to Ryan, and then he blushed, "Oh! That kind of friend? Okay. That's cool with me." Then the boy sighed and said, "Am I the only one here who isn't pagan?"

"Well, my dad and I are just learning about Wicca," Hannah said quickly. "That party was my first pagan gathering. I was raised more or less Protestant."

"That's cool. My family's Episcopalian. I go to Wind Valley 'cause I was gettin' beat up a lot at the public school I used to go to," Julian said. "Some kids started a rumor that I was gay, just 'cause I'm small and I wasn't into chasin' girls. But I'm just not ready for dating and sex yet, is all. "Hey sweetheart! Are you kids ready for the cake?" Katie Edwards asked, sticking her head in from the kitchen door. "Everyone's here now, right?"

As soon as the kids were settled and Mister Edwards was ready to record the moment, Mrs. Edwards brought in Michelle's birthday cake. It was decorated with pink frosting and red roses, and had ten lit candles on it. Katie started singing 'Happy Birthday', and her husband and all the kids joined in.

The kids devoured the cake and ice cream and a frothy 'red satin' punch with pink foam. Then they went back to the living room and they gave Michelle her presents.

"Oh look, mom! Hannah got a Rebecca doll for me! Yay! Now I have the complete set of Fantasy Foxies dolls! Thank you so much, Hannah!" Michelle said happily. She hugged Hannah and then opened Ryan's present. "Oh! And more Foxies clothes and adventure sets too! Thank you, Ryan!"

"Open mine next!" Peggy pleaded. "It's the one with the yellow bow on the box!"

Michelle unwrapped the present, and giggled as she held up a very sexy lime green nightgown, with lots of lace. "Oh! I love it! Thank you!"

Julian looked embarrassed as he handed Michelle a small envelope with a bow on it. "I ummm, didn't know what you already had, so, ummm, you can use that to get what you want."

"You did? Oh!" Michelle tore the package open and looked inside. Then she squealed and pounced on Darrin and gave him a kiss right on the mouth. "It's wonderful! Thank you, thank you!"

"Wow! That really is nice, Darrin!" Ryan said. "I didn't know you were such an artist!"

"Thanks," Darrin replied. "I've been trying to learn leatherwork so I can make stuff for mom and me to sell at the Pagan Shop. Ummm, the shoulder strap can also come off and be used as a belt, through the loops on the back of the purse. That makes it a belt and pouch, if you want to make sure no one can swipe it."

For the rest of the party, they played a bean bag toss version of tic-tac-toe; and then a lively game of musical chairs; and then Julian, Darrin and Ryan played video games, while Peggy, Penny, Hannah and Michelle played with her 'My Fantasy Foxies' dolls.

At 4:30, Julian's mom picked him up, and at about the same time, Darrin's mom came for him.

"Bye bye! Thanks for coming!" Michelle said, as the two obvious boys left. When they were gone, she smiled at the other kids and said, "And now it's just us girls! Woo hoo!"

"Dinner will be in about an hour Michelle," Katie Edwards said, "Why don't you and your friends take their things to your room, and you can play in there until I call you for dinner."

Michelle's parents had set up four comfortable camping cots in her room for her guests, with sleeping bags and pillows. The girls each put their backpack or overnight bags on the foot of their cots.

Hannah looked at the sleeping arrangements, as the two bunny girls started to unpack what seemed to be an awful lot of clothes for a one-night sleepover.

"Well, we shouldn't play dress-up until after dinner, so how about a game of truth or dare?" Michelle suggested. "That way we can get to know each other better. Ryan, you pick who will go first."

"Okay," Ryan replied. She looked at the bunny that was between herself and Michelle, and said, "Hummm. Peggy? Truth or dare?"

"Truth," Peggy said.

"Have you ever kissed another girl? I mean a really romantic type kiss, not just giving your mom a peck on the cheek," Ryan said.

"Is everyone happy with the sleeping arrangements?" Katie asked carefully. "If anyone is shy or wants more privacy, we could move a cot or two into the living room."

"Oh Mom! We'll be fine! How many times have Peggy and Penny come over here for the night, or have I gone to their place?" Michelle said. "The best part of a sleepover is that all the girls are together all night, isn't it?"

"Well, if anything changes, just let us know. Otherwise, your father and I will leave you girls alone all night," Katie said.

"We're not bashful!" Peggy said.

"And neither are Hannah and I," Ryan said. "Can I help with the dishes, Mrs. Edwards?"

"No, my husband and I will take care of cleaning up. You girls go have your fun," Katie said.

The kids went back to Michelle's room. "So! More truth or dare? Or do we want to play dress up next?" Michelle asked.

"Okay then. Back in the circle, girls, and Hannah has the next challenge," Michelle said.

"Michelle? Truth or dare" Hannah asked.

"Truth," Michelle said.

"If you could really be a girl - like with an operation or something - would you do it?" Hannah asked.

"Yeah, I want to. But my parents already looked into that for me, and I can't get a sex change until I'm sixteen.
