After rinsing and towelling off, I walked back into my room just in time to see Gem pull another of my t-shirts over herself. "Not a problem, " I said and went about making breakfast for everybody. I wasn't that good a cook, but I could make eggs, frozen waffles and sausages. It was during the time that I was frying up the sausage that I finally understood what she was talking about when she said she'd eat me without using her teeth. It was a good thing I was facing the stove because I must have turned a dozen shades of red.

The smells of breakfast cooking woke up my Mom and brother, both of which were surprised at Gem's new look. As I was finishing putting everything together, she was explaining her situation to both of them and by the time I had plated everything and put them on the table they seemed to have accepted her new state.

We ate, made pleasant small talk, and once everything was done Gem and I cleaned up the breakfast dishes and generally tidied up the kitchen together. My Mom left for work and shortly after her my brother left for school so Gem and I were now alone.

"So, what do you want to do now?" I asked.

"What time do they get back?" she asked.

"My brother usually comes home around 4pm and my Mom doesn't get home until after 6."

"So we've got most of the day to ourselves?"

"Yeah we do."

"Good, " she said taking me by the hand and leading me back to my room. "It's like this. "You're more than welcome, " she said before kissing me gently on the lips. "Now, you promised me we'd go shopping today."

"Right. Okay, let me get dressed and we'll head out to the mall, " I said before giving her one last squeeze and then letting go so we could get dressed. I'll admit that as sexy and desirable that Gem looked naked, she looked even more erotic when just wearing my t-shirt. "I think we're going to have to do something about that, " I said to her.

"Why? What's the matter?" she asked.

"Your butt, as nice as it is, needs to be covered if we're going outside. I'd suggest even covering yourself up completely so nobody notices you're not human but it's going to be a hot day out today and you'd be miserable if we did."

She turned around so she could look at her backside in the mirror. She attempted to use her tail to cover herself up, but it was only partially effective. Rummaging around in my closet I found what I was looking for, an old pair of athletic shorts that I no longer wore because I had gotten too fat. I was originally keeping them because I kept telling myself that I was going to lose the weight someday, it's just that the someday kept getting further and further away. "Try these on, " I said as I handed them to her.

Gem attempted to pull them on, but her tail kept getting in the way and it was next to impossible to get them over her hips. So we went with a slightly drastic solution and cut a large hole in the back of the shorts so her tail could pass through and she'd be covered.

"Not exactly the most fashionable outfit, but I suppose it will do for the moment, " Gem said while admiring herself in the mirror. She turned to look at me and asked, "you ready to go?"

"Oh... right... yes, " I said as I pulled my gaze away from Gem and instead pulled my clothes on. When I was done I took her hand in mine and led her outside. I was a little nervous at first, thinking that people might stop and stare, but as time went by people might have glanced our way or checked her out but nothing out of the ordinary happened.

Finally we made it to the mall and Gem acted just like a kid in a candy store. She dragged me from store to store, tried on different clothes and dresses and modelled them for me but in the end wound up getting some rather plain and useful clothes. The reason was simple, in changing forms her proportions might be different which meant that unless we had money to burn, she'd have to get a set of clothes that could work for just about any form she had. She did insist however on getting some sexy underwear from the lingerie shop as she wanted something that would belong to her and her only.

Around lunchtime we decided to take a break and hit the food court, as I didn't have much money left we opted for the cheap burger joint which was having a two for one sale on their burgers. We were in the process of eating when the local bully showed up to taunt me as he had a habit of doing.

"Hey Krissifer!" he said with false bonhomie.

"What do you want Rob? I'm just having lunch with my friend, we came to do some shopping and as you can see wanted to have some lunch, " I said tiredly.

Pulling up a chair, he sat down at the table and helped himself to some of my fries without asking. He knew I wouldn't fight back because he'd pound me into the ground if I tried. "There's no problem Krissifer. I'm just impressed that you're out in the sunlight, after all you always go walking at night. But I'm doubly impressed that you're here with an actual woman, or at least I hope it's a woman for all I know it's some femboi in that costume."

"You know what? I don't like you and I like you even less for picking on Kris. So I'm going to ask you to leave. Now, " Gem said.

"Yeah right sweetheart, you furfags don't scare me. What are you going to do? Bleed on me?"

With a speed I would never have thought possible, Gem lashed out and grabbed hold of his shirt pulling him forward so he was face to snout with her. She smiled, revealing all her teeth and extended the claws on her free hand and brought it in front of his face. "I'm going to give you one more chance to walk away with all your parts intact. Keep this up or if I find out that you hassled Kris again you'll find out that not only are my claws sharp as razors, I like to bite. And also, " she brought her nose up against him and inhaled loudly. "I've got your scent now and I can track you if need be. You leave us alone and I'll let you live."

Rob, his face ashen, nodded dumbly at her request and when she let go of his shirt he ran away as fast as he could. Gem turned back to her food and continued eating as if nothing had happened.

"That was amazing!" I said. "You moved so fast and I was worried you were going to start something. Actually, we might need to leave soon especially if he calls the cops."

"He won't call the cops. He's too scared and he thinks that I'll come after him if he does."

"What do you mean, you said you had his scent and could track him."

"Kris, I'm a vixen not a bloodhound. Yes, I've got a good sense of smell but let's get real here the only form I have that's a good tracker is the wolf and I might never see her again. But he didn't know that, " she said and smiled prettily.

"You are amazing, " I said to her with more than just a little admiration in my voice.

"Yes, I know, " she replied haughtily while striking a regal pose before dissolving into giggles. "Now, since we appear to be done here, do you want to keep shopping?"

"I don't know, " I said looking at the bags we already had and checking my wallet for how much money I had left. "Tell you what, why don't we go back with what we have and if you feel you need something else, we'll come back later to get it. Okay?"

"You running low on funds?" she asked with a hint of worry in her voice.

"Kinda, it's been a rough couple years but that's okay because I know something is going to come out good from all this. If you need something, I'll buy it for you."

"That's sweet Kris, but maybe we ought to head back. I've got enough things here, and in fact if you need the money I could always return some of them like the sexy lingerie. I mean I don't actually need it."

The idea of her bringing the sexy bra and panties back was too terrible a thought to contemplate. Yes, they were expensive but how many chances would I have to see her wear them? "No, you said you wanted something for yourself that was only for you so you should keep those. I'll just have to watch what I spend for the rest of the month."

"Are you sure? I don't mind, " Gem said without a hint of guile.

"No, it's okay. I want you to have them."

"Okay, but I intend to make it up to you somehow. If you have any ideas, let me know."

"Oh I can think of one thing, " I said with as much innuendo as I could manage and added an eye brow waggle just in case it wasn't enough.

"Men. You're all the same. Good thing for you that that's something I don't mind doing. Let's get back home and I'll prove it to you."

Needless to say, our trip back to the apartment took a lot less time than our trip to the mall. I checked just to make sure my Mom or my brother didn't come home early but we were alone and we were able to make love in peace.

"You're getting better at this, " Gem said dreamily as she lay curled up next to me.

I kissed her gently and just replied with, "I had a good teacher."

We lay there, wrapped in each other's arms just enjoying the warmth and peace that always follows good sex. At some point we must have dozed off because when I woke up I heard my brother coming back and noticed it was two hours later. Not wanting to disturb Gem, I got dressed and walked out of the room making sure to close the door quietly behind me.

My brother of course noticed this and said, " so I guess you finally freaked with the freak. Good job." His voice was laced with sarcasm but was that a hint of jealousy in his voice?

"Yeah, whatever, " I said walking over to the kitchen to make myself a cup of tea. I was feeling too good about the whole situation right now for him to get me down. I had a hot girlfriend and yes, she was my girlfriend and nobody would get between us. As I was waiting for the water to boil, I felt a pair of soft, furry arms hug me from behind. Turning around I took Gem in my embrace but noticed she was currently nude.

"Not that I mind, but you might want to consider putting some clothes on unless you want my brother to see you walking around like that."

Gem just snorted and answered, "he can look all he wants but he can never have me. I'm all yours." She looked up at me and I had to kiss her at that point. There was simply no other action I could have done that would have done justice to the moment. But like all moments it was short lived and the whistling of the kettle said that the water was ready for the tea.

I made us some tea and we took it back to my room for some privacy while we relaxed. Since Gem was nude, I figured I might as well join her. Not that I could do much else at the moment. I might only be 24, but it's been a long time since I was 16 and four times in one day was a lot but it felt good just to be with Gem like this without any pressure to perform.

We spent the next few hours just talking, learning more about each other and spending long, lingering moments lost in each other's eyes. When it came time for dinner, we opted to eat with my Mom and my brother in the dining room. It was a bit of a tight squeeze, but I felt that if Gem was going to be living here for a while she needed to feel as much at home here as I did.

Finally when it was time to go to sleep, my Mom gave me a look when I followed Gem into the room and closed the door behind us. I think she had accepted the fact that Gem and I were together even if she didn't like it. I know my brother was a little jealous of this situation which made it all the better.

"You good for one more round?" Gem asked sexily as she slid into bed.

"Barely. I think I'm going to have to work on my stamina if we keep up this pace."

"Oh don't worry, the first day is always the worst. I'll try to keep the request down to once a day after tonight but I'm not making any promises, " Gem said as she climbed on top and I slid into her.

I was serious when I said I was barely able to do this. The spirit was willing, but the flesh was all spongy and bruised. "Nothing right now Krisss. Thissss form doesssn't need as much food asss mammalsss do. Jussst let me ressst, and maybe later we can lie in the sssun together, " Gem said before burrowing back down under the covers trying to preserve the heat left in the bed.

I walked over to my closet and picked out the electric blanket I used during the winter, placed it on the bed and turned it on. "There you go, that will keep you nice and warm." Leaning down I kissed her on the cheek. She smiled, hissed a thank you and went back to sleep.

Oh, this was going to be an interesting day.
