It was 83 years since Sarah left them. Over that time Jenny and Gordon formed a small group and traveled the region. They were on the East temple island and were planning on moving. They had built a raft to see where the current would take them. On the way years ago they found a pair of mated vampires, a delcatty and ambipom. They tried to have a child and failed. They stopped trying after they met Jenny and Gordon. Then, they found out they could not since vampires can only have a child with an immortal. There were five other, two sibling absol's and a pikachu. The absol's mother died when they were a week old and Jenny took them in. A Jolteon and a marowak were recent additions. Gordon had three mates Jenny, Cheese Ball, and Devia. Jenny had Gordon and Jackson. Cheese Ball was a female marowak. Devia was a female jolteon. Jackson was a male pikachu. Jake and Annie were absol's with no mates; Annie was a female and Jake was a male. Pete was a male vampire ambipom. Vanilla was a female vampire delcatty. Gordon and Jenny had a complex relationship. It saved them from leaving each other. Their relationship was rocky after Jenny and Gordon had an eevee that was a failure to thrive. He did not live very long. It broke Jenny's heart. After forty years to get a second chance was painful. One hunting/ foraging trip was a bust. Gordon and Devia used their private time to mate for fun. She knew he could never give her an egg which was a plus since her functioning partner was Jackson. She never had problems with whom the father was. Jenny also had used Jackson to break up the monotony of Gordon, who was a great lover but, over time she got bored with him. If Jenny left Gordon, she would never have a child again for a really long time. Gordon and Devia walked out of some bushes when Gordon said, "Sarah! Is that you?" She looked surprised and said, "Dad, where is mother, and who is she?" Gordon replied, "After you left we stayed there for some time. Then we traveled to see the region. After our eevee died our relationship began to collapse. First we did not mate regularly, then, we stopped hunting together and we were bored of each other. Next, we found Devia and Jackson. It was a three-day journey in calm seas. The raft was pulled by a lapras. The destination was the island in the fog. The raft was made of logs surroundings a twenty five foot long fishing vessel. The boat was not sea worthy so the logs were lashed to it. It provided shelter and storage for the trip. The Island in the Fog was the name. Whoever named it was not creative. It was a fishing island with a small village. It was once a military base and weather station. The location was at the ocean and inland sea as a buffer island. Many coral and volcanic rocks surrounded it with high cliffs on one edge. Most of the island was abandoned for decades. During the trip they saw several vessels heading there. Jenny recognized a couple former lovers and a lot of vampire pokémon. Gordon became concerned what Sarah meant. On the island there were dozens for rafts and boats making land. The lager ones were tied together to make a dock and port. Sarah greeted all of them and made an announcement, "The apocalypse is a week away and I was told to gather all of you here as one of three sanctuaries to save the pokémon of the world. There are three of them and each one has about 2000 vampire pokémon, 400 immortal pokémon, one hundred legendaries, and 200 mew to aid in repopulating the world. (She flipped a page.) Immortal and vampire pokémon can successfully reproduce together. For females a deep penetration session with a shiny ditto can replenish your egg supply and increase the heat cycle. A lot of females began to process the information and they were getting excited. All they need now was a shiny ditto. Jenny decided to wait since it was about forty years since she was in heat. A well-rested partner was a better mate, and lover. Gordon wanted to try again hoping for a regular egg no thin shell, no shell, and especially a dud egg. A few days later she began to be in season. It was a foggy morning, Jenny and Gordon were watching the sunrise before anyone else was awake. The two groomed each other every morning to bond then they separated to hunt and forage for food. A few days later the seas were still choppy when Jenny had two eggs. They were concerned about food and if the eggs would hatch. That morning Annie noticed a red sky and knew a bad storm was near. It hit that afternoon. Jenny, Gordon, and the eggs were high in the mountain as Annie watched the storm from shore. Coming into view was a boat. It was trying to enter the harbor when it was hit with two rough waves, one from the stern and the other from the port side. The boat cracked it two and the survivors tried to get to shore. The wind was howling as two survivors washed ashore. Annie dragged them in a hut away from the wreckage. She saw a third survivor and pulled them to shore. Two days later the storm cleared up. She looked at them and saw a gem, a shiny ditto. The other two were a regular ditto and hexorus. She started to ask questions, "what are your names?" The hexorus spoke, "I am Patches, the shiny is Soup, and the regular ditto is Bruce. Where is our trainer?" "Lost." She replied and the three looked depressed. The news of a shiny ditto was like wild fire on the island. Soup was really busy for weeks. Only females came to him. The non mortal females wanted to be recharged. An eternity of being barren bothered them, and they could have children every half century or so, when mortal females had them every year. Jenny decided to wait. There were a lot of females who wanted Soups' attention. Jenny had to set her eggs. Non mortal males did not feel the same urges initially. Living forever was great for them for many reasons. They had no major responsibilities of long term mates. They could mate with whomever they pleased and not have an egg or live young to take care of. Occasionally they would mate with a non mortal female and have to take care of young. The older the male got the more they wanted a companion, mate, lover, or even a pack. They did not want to be lonely and it was desired as much as the vampires craving for fresh blood. A few weeks later Jenny and Gordon eggs hatched. They were mienfoo. A male and female. They were named Vince and Rebecca. Their happiness as a family was short live, food was becoming more scarce and starvation was a real concern. Water pokémon ran ferries to other islands for supplies and fished. Soon many considered leaving the island. Pockets of survivors from other islands gave them refuge. Females were recharged before they decided to leave. Annie called the lapras that carried and towed them to the island to search the wreckage with her. Annie was on her back. They searched for bodies, any survivors still out there from the storm from other boats from a fierce storm that happened the night before. During the search Annie started a conversation, "We never got your name, you never told us?" "It is Catherine. I hate giving my name on tow jobs. I become too busy to have any free time." She replied. "Well Catherine there are no bodies, survivors, or good salvage. We are running out of food on the island, is there any place on the mainland we can travel to in less than six days?" Annie asked. Catherine replied, "The great marsh is only five days away by barge. There is plenty of food there and I memorized the rout."

Annie was surprised. She told the other of her group to build a raft from the wreckage and have Catherine tow them. They would rest in the marsh for a few days and then move to the main land fallowing the coast. Many decided to join there was about 500 total and it would make a convoy of barges. First, Annie left the island to see if the mainland was safe. It was but, one knew why everyone died there. The cities by the coast and ports were gone. When Annie returned preparation were almost ready. The tow pokémon were given the rout and the plan. Most of the non mortal females were recharged and ready to mate. Some had become pregnant or had eggs. During Annie's travel Jenny had the courage to approach Soup. He had not mated for days. She came to him with some berries and asked, "Care for one?" "Sure." It replied. Jenny gave him a berry. When they were eating, she asked some questions. "I was wondering. I was turned into a vampire when I was near barren. Can you recharge me?" Soup replied, "Why only females want to be recharged? I have never, have a non mortal males ask, why?" Jenny told Soup a story, "I lived with a human vampire for 50 years. Before I turned, I was near the end of having eggs. The local males started to look down on me and I felt unloved and never got affection from them. A vampire mightyena jumped me after seeing my plight and jumped me. Then, she turned me into a vampire. When I woke up, she said, "I was sterile at birth and I understand how you feel. Males look down on barren females and you were near that time. They could smell it from you and instincts made them not want you. You will never be barren anymore as long far as I know. I will teach you how to live forever." That is how I learned males want fertile females and I am afraid the one I care for will leave me for some new female. I care for him and do not want to lose him. I need to be recharged to keep him." Soup thought for a minute, "So females want to be loved by males and barren females are not loved?" "Yes, and instincts make us want to have lots of eggs." She replied. "No. (She was shocked) Go to the other side of the island. There is a hermit of a shiny ditto living in the fallen water tower. They get no visitors except me. They have been depressed lately and you might make them happy." Soup told her. Jenny rushed to the other side of the island and found the ditto. It agreed to recharge her that night. After it got dark, the shiny ditto surrounded her lower half and began a deep penetration session. She was screaming in pain.
