Sarah loved Jenny and Gordon. They hid and protected her for the first few weeks. Sarah knew she was rare but not how precious she was to Jenny and Gordon. They loved her and knew their time with her was short. Only three months and the first month they babied her a bit too much. Sarah felt constricted but after that month they were less controlling. The only difference was she had two sets of parents. "Mamma. Why are you so protective of me, I want to run with the others?" Sarah asked Jenny. Jenny replied, "I have told you the answer already." "I want the real answer this time. You and dad are constantly avoiding the answer!" Sarah was firm. Jenny sighed and said, "You have a second set of parents. Soon we will have to give you to them, and they are mews. You are my first child in 83 years and I want to protect you since our time with you is short. Gordon has more relevant experience he had been immortal for six years." Sarah thought the answer was too strange to be a lie; therefor, it was probity the truth. She thought, "They will never see me grow up, that is why they are so protective. How long till I see my other parents?"

One month and a half left. Jenny and Gordon planned a picnic. They wanted to make their time with Sarah to be memorable. It was going to be quiet with her friends and all her favorite foods. Soon this small picnic became an all night party in the yard. A guest asked Gordon, "How long have you been with Jenny?" "Six years" Gordon replied. "Six years! You only had one child why did you wait so long?" The guest replied. Gordon answered, "When you have all the time in the world, you have the time to pick a loving mate for eternity." Jenny saw some unexpected guests enjoying some guests. She approached them and said, "Do you have to drink the other guests' dry? Our actual daughter has friends here and if they die her because of you, she will kill you. Two weeks left with Sarah. Gordon and Jenny were concerned they raised Sarah right. They knew how to raise children but, did they raise her right. They had never raised a legendary before and were concerned they babied her too much. Sarah could fend for herself, but they used their experience to raise her. Gordon watched her and felt she was okey. One week left. Jenny and Gordon were freaking out. They knew they had one week left with their only child in six years for Gordon and nearly eighty years for Jenny. They were trying to stall Sarah departure somehow. No ideas came up that would work. Late that night Gordon came up with other options. He decided to tell Jenny the next day. That morning Gordon was talking to Jenny. "Jenny. What if we tried again to have an egg?" He asked. She replied, "No. I do not want to be barren for eternity. I want to keep my options and what if it is a bad egg? Then, we try again until we get a good egg. Do you know how males treat barren females? They do not show affection and think you are old. They only come up to have you babysit their young or advice. I need time to think about it." Gordon became angry and distressed, "How long? I waited six years! What would you think of me with other females? Would you leave me if you found out I had another mate? All my friends and family will die before I do. It is not fair that I live and they die!" He sounded terrified. Jenny came up to him and kissed his forehead, "I don't care if you have a harem as long as I am your queen. I never told you but, the first decades are the worst of the horrible hundred years. We all have needs, and I mate every year with a new male then drink from them. You are the first to survive then, we had an egg." Gordon felt relieved. They soon were stressed out and began to fight again over ideas after Sarah left. After half a day Gordon recovered quickly and said, "We need to tell her the whole truth before she leaves." The two were panting as Jenny we too tiered to argue the point. Jenny and Gordon planned a surprise party for three days before the mews arrived. Three days left. Sarah was nervous that morning. It was like everyone was keeping a secret from her. She entered the barn for lunch and it was a surprise party. The guest thought that Jenny and Gordon liked parties but, it was a cover to tell Sarah the whole truth. Jenny gave her a locket with the sketched images of her and Gordon. Then she told Sarah, "In three days you will meet your other parents. They needed us to have you. Mews are generally gender less. They cannot reproduce on their own. They need an immortal and a vampire to mate. I am a vampire and only a few things can kill me since I am already dead. Gordon is immortal and he will can never die. I have never met a second immortal to find out how to kill them. Sarah, you must keep what we our a secrets or they will kill me and try to kill Gordon. Others are afraid of vampires. We drink blood not to survive. We will never go old but, I can die." "Then, why no pictures?" Sarah asked. Jenny replied, "I have no reflection and try to enjoy this going away party."

Sarah liked the party but, the revelation was making her uncertain about her other parents. She thought, "Are they nice or mean? How much will they love me?" The day had arrived. The previous day the three did everything together. Gordon and Sarah could not sleep and watched the sunrise, enjoying an early breakfast. Jenny came by covered in blood. Sarah had the locket around her neck. At sunrise two mews came in. They noticed Sarah had grown. Sarah flew up to see them, they looked nice but she hesitated and asked, "Can I see Jenny and Gordon ever again?" The two mews replied, "Yes." One continued, "If you find them after fifty years when the gate reopens. We live in a restricted island that no one can enter." Sarah flew down and hugged her well-known parents, "I will miss you! I want to stay but will they rip me away from you? I feel like I have no choice." A mew flew down, "You do not right now. We need to teach you about many things before you have a choice." Jenny said, "I have a question. Can I become barren?" The mew replied, "Yes, but every forty to fifty years you go into season. If you find a shiny ditto and mate with them, ask for really deep penetration and egg replacement unless you had your last egg used. That is the second use for dittos except cloning." Jenny now knew she could mate anyone and not have an egg. Gordon knew what was on her mind. Sarah let go and cried as she flew away with her new parents holding the locket tight.
