Raven Wolf - The Wounded - Chapter Twelve

Chapter Twelve

"Hey. You're still hanging in there right?" Fitz lightly hits the side of Shiya's face to try and get a reaction from him, he not getting much of a response from him, the raccoon looking back to Dolly with concern, the two of them moving from ally to alley to keep hidden. "It's not looking good for him."

Dolly peeks over the trash bin that they are hiding behind, spotting the soldiers that were guarding this road, all the others she had checked being the same, there no rout left without guard. "I don't know what to do..." She looks back to Fitz. "I don't think that we can escape... maybe we should turn him in... the military has put a lot of effort into acquiring him, I doubt that they would let him die on them."

A young girl's voice that sounded like it was coming from a small speaker responds to Dolly's. "You can't do that! You have no idea of what will happen once they have him."

Fitz and Dolly both jump as they quickly turn in the direction the sound had come from, spotting a strange small robot near them, Fitz being the most cautious of it. "What the heck is that thing!?"

Dolly stares at it for a moment, she eventually recognizing it. "It's that machine from before..." She looks back to Fitz explaining. "It belongs to the hacker."

The small robot moves toward Dolly circling around her. "Teddy called me his guardian angel once, you're welcome to call me the same."

Dolly watches the strange device. "You've been laying low for a long time now, what made you show up now?"

"Some very interesting reports being sent among the military caught my attention, it's a good thing too, I mean I've been trying to find this guy for what feels like forever!!" The robot leaves Dolly's side as it approached Shiya, the camera on it looking him over. "So this is him hu? Raven Wolf's leader? If it is then I was right, this is the source that was in the True Blood's records. He looks like he's been hurt really bad, but I should be able to help him if you can get him to me in time."

Dolly shakes her head no. "Why would we take him to you? You're a True Blood."

The robot looks back to Dolly as the voice it is projecting tries to explain. "Well... that's the bloodline I descend from, but I'm not on their side. Trust me, I don't want them finding him as much as you."

Dolly and Fitz look to one another, the voice that communicated to them through the robot continuing to speak. "You guys know you can't get out of this situation on your own, and I can help you, so what do you have to lose by trusting me?"

Dolly crawls over to the robot, leaning over it as she questions it. "How do you expect to get us out of this situation?"

Several holographic screens begin to appear before Dolly, a map of the area complete with heat signatures and other various markers appearing. "This is what the military is picking up of the area. Technically, if 'someone' wasn't interfering with and redirecting the signal this is the information they would be receiving, luckily for you guys I'm on your side."

Fitz stares in amazement, this indeed helpful information. "This tells us where everyone is, we could spot a weak line of defence we might be able to get through, or a road or path they may not be occupying as soon as they're off it!" He looks over to Dolly. "I think I like your hacking angel friend."

Dolly frowns as she looks over the figures too, this able to help her in other ways as well. "Each heat source marking is picking up a weapon or radio assigned to a soldier's number, if you know their numbers you could even tell who they are."

Fitz looks back to Dolly. "You know everyone by number?"

Dolly shakes her head no as her eyes quickly scan through the holographic map in search of something. "No of course not." Her eyes stop darting back and forth and she focus on a figure, lifting her finger and point to him. "There, the only one in the area without a radio or a weapon. That has to be Chase."

"You sure that's him? He's not sleeping." Dolly glares at Fitz, the raccoon looking back to her with a grin as he changes his statement to something she would prefer to hear. "I mean perfect! We get him and then find a weak line of defence and we'll be out of here in time for dinner!"

Dolly frowns as she looks over to Fitz. "I should hope so... it has to be around five AM now!"

Fitz is surprised to hear this. "Oh... really? It's that late? Or early? Time sure flies when everything's derailing into a big tangled mess of whatever the heck this all is." He frowns shaking his head. "I'd say a bad day, but this is far more than a bad day, this is a bad day times a million!"

"Enough! Let's just get Chase and get out of here already." She looks over to Shiya who looked to be getting weaker by the moment. "I don't know how much longer he's going to last without help."

The holographic image switches off as Dolly picks up the small robot and gets to her feet, her route memorized. Fitz lifting Shiya up with him as he prepares to follow Dolly, he much more confident in getting out of this mess now that they had a solid plan.

*******

Yula sits on the edge of his bed as he recalls and thinks over the last of the vision that he had seen. The information he had gathered from it was indeed a shock.

Yula turns away from the figure of his mother, he never able to stop what was going to happen, the only thing he was able to do was try and wake up before it happened. The projection of Dolly that accompanied him trying to keep him from trying to ignore what was to take place here. "Don't Yula. You need to see this, and you need to remember."

_ _

Yula looks towards the voice staring at Dolly, she greeting him with a warm smile was that unfamiliar on her. "You again... the other Dolly... not the real one that I just saw getting hurt... but the made up Dolly..." He looks from her and back to his mother as she looked through the room in her curiosity and then back to her, he explaining the situation to her. "This is a vision, one that has nothing to do with you and Teddy... he's gone I'm done guiding him, so why are you still here."

_ _

Dolly shrugs her left shoulder up. "The story you must come to understand has not yet finished." She looks around the room that they are in. "I was here."

_ _

Yula shakes his head no, he having seen this dream over a thousand times by now, and even if he could never remember it all he as least knew that Dolly had never before been in it. "You weren't even born yet!"

_ _

Footsteps begin to sound approaching the room, Yula tensing up as he holds his breath stepping back from the entrance. "I need to wake up... I don't want to see this again..."

_ _

"Yula you need to, all the way to the end. Of all the times that you have seen this you have never fully seen it through, and you need to, or else it will never stop."

_ _

Yula shakes his head no. "I can't do it..."

_ _

Dolly places her hand within Yula's gripping tightly. "You can and you will. It's alright, this time I'll be with you, you're not alone."

_ _

Yula looks back to Dolly, not understanding the point to this. "What is there to tell, she dies! I know that!

_ _

Dolly nods her head yes. "I know... but there is still a message here that you must see and understand Yula."

_ _

A figure enters the room, Yula's mother stopping her humming as she turns to face him. "Oh, you're not who I was expecting." The wolf grins at him putting down the small object she had been holding. "I hope you don't find my curiosity insulting. This is my first time in a domestic building. Everything is new to me."

_ _

The large wolverine that had entered the room looks toward the object that had caught the visitor's curiosity. "Indeed... I was just as curious when seeing things belonging to the domestics for the first time."

_ _

Yula stares at the figure. "It's him..." He looks back to Dolly there no mistake. "That's Dmitri... that guy that Teddy knows... that shot at the real Dolly!"

_ _

The grey wolf Yula spoke to nods her head. "Yes... he has been alive for a very long time... not much unlike your father Shiya."

_ _

Yula's mother approaches the man to look him over, though he was wearing a uniform of the domestic military he did not look exactly as the other domestics did, he carrying sharp claws and teeth, a smile crossing her face when she recognizes these as wild features. "You... you're a wild aren't you?" She seems relived with the familiarity. "A wild within the Domestics, perhaps my task will not be so difficult after all." She holds her hand out for him to take. "What's your name?"

_ _

The large figure takes her hand. "Ebon Dmitri, and you?"

_ _

"Kanti."

_ _

Dmitri watches her as she once again looks through her surroundings with curiosity. "You seem far from home, what are you doing here?"

_ _

Kanti grins at him, her cause noble and one of importance. "Peace... I have come to try and put an end to the fighting."

_ _

"Another tribe looking for an alliance then? Trust me you would not be the first. The domestics are as open to the idea of ending the fighting as you and your people are. There are many tribes that have ended the fighting and joined the Domestics."

_ _

Kanti shakes her head no. "Oh, we don't wish to join, just to be left alone. We do not want to attack, nor do we want to be attacked. We just want to live and raise our children in peace."

_ _

Dmitri watches her as she explains. "What tribe do you represent?"

_ _

"Raven Wolf."

_ _

Dmitri looks surprised at this comment. "Raven Wolf... the cursed tribe?"

_ _

Kanti nods her head yes. "Indeed."

_ _

Dmitri shakes his head no, that tribe not having the freedom to do such a thing. "No... you can't do that. The spirits have given you and your people the task to fight and destroy the Domestics, you cannot defy their orders! Shiya has no choice but to fight!"

_ _

Kanti stops what she is doing as she looks back to him, he having said Shiya's name without her having ever mentioned it to him. "You know my husband?"

_ _

He stares back at her. "Husband... you're Shiya's wife?"

_ _

Kanti nods her head. "Yes... but how do you know of him?

_ _

Dmitri continues to explain. "Shiya is the harbinger of destruction! It is not the first time he would have completely wiped out the enemy he has been appointed! This task is what he exists for!"

_ _

Kanti is confused, though this was something she knew about it was something no one else was supposed to. "Shiya said that I was the only one that he's told about the horrible things he used to do in the past... so how could you have found out about it? Why do you know this information?" She shakes her head, that meaning little. "What does it matter how you found out, that was a long time ago, Shiya is no longer like that. He does not wish to destroy any longer."

_ _

Dmitri raises his voice. "Raven Wolf cannot seek peace! The wars will not end until everything had been destroyed! And everything must be destroyed!!"

_ _

Kanti shakes her head no, that not making any sense. "Do you know what that would mean? How could you possibly want that?" Kanti lets out a frightened gasp as Dmitri grabs onto her wrist, his grip on her tight and painful, she beginning to question him. "I don't understand... if that is what you really want then why join the side of those the spirits want destroyed."

_ _

Dmitri lets out a smirk as he holds his hand to himself "I have no choice, to help mankind is the role of Earth, I cannot fight against it and must play my part, Shiya is the one who's role is to destroy!"

_ _

Kanti stares closely at him, she realizing something. "You're the same as my husband... aren't you? You're one of the six sacred powers that govern and aid life."

_ _

Her question remains unanswered, the sound of a loud gunshot filling the air instead. Kanti letting out a shocked gasp as falls to the ground, her free hand clutched upon a wound in her chest, her other hand still gripped tightly by the soldier that had fired his weapon at her. She stares up at him, not understanding. "Why... why would you do such a thing?"

_ _

Dmitri stares down at her, his expression cold. "So that Shiya will have not only reason but a desire to attack the Domestics." He lets go of Kanti's hand letting her fall to the ground. "I want him to destroy the Domestics, I want him to destroy everything. I need him to destroy it all. If he refuses to play his role than I will not stop taking things from him until this has been done!"

_ _

"He will not do such a thing! Even without me his ideals will remain true... his mind and desires have been set and you cannot change them."

_ _

Dmitri raises his weapon to her once more, placing the barrel of the gun against her head.

_ _

Yula falls down to his knees when the second gunshot is fired, his hands covering his mouth in horror as lets out frightened whimpers, Dolly leaning down behind him and wrapping her arms around him as she tries to calm him. "It's alright, there's nothing to be afraid of. You'll be just fine."

_ _

Yula shakes his head no, there no way anyone could be alright after seeing such a thing. "How could you say that...?" He lowers his head, the situation just cruel. "She didn't even do anything wrong... all she wanted to do was stop the fighting..."

_ _

Dolly begins to pet Yula's head. "Kanti died... that is true... but her spirit continues. She has lived many lives, as many different people, that is why you must remember this."

_ _

Yula is not clarified. "I don't understand."

_ _

Dolly begins to explain. "When a member of Raven Wolf dies, their spirit is taken... consumed by the Wolf Spirit, but this day Wolf Spirit was unable to consume Kanti's spirit, and her spirit was returned to life's cycle."

_ _

Yula looks back to Dolly. "Why...? What happened?"

_ _

Dolly motions towards the scene, Dmitri standing over the still body of his victim. "Something frightening appeared before Wolf Spirit, something more powerful, and more terrifying than a corrupt spirit such as she."

_ _

Yula seems worried, afraid of what he might see next. "What could possibly be more terrifying than that!?"

_ _

A large black figure begins to form into the shape of a wolf as a frightening howl fills the air, the spirits red eyes give a chilling glow as her form takes shape, the soldier that had killed Kanti grinning up at it, not afraid of the spirit that had appeared before him as he calls out to it in a challenging manner. "You should not have come here!" He clenches his hand baring his claws and fangs, the earth beginning to tremble and shake. "Shiya may have been pitiful enough to allow himself to be controlled by you but I am not the same!"

_ _

The floors and walls crack and break, furniture and objects being thrown to the ground as the earth rises from the ground attacking the animal spirit that had appeared. Yula eyes widen in shock at the scene that was beginning to play out in front of his eyes. "How is he... what is he...?"

_ _

Dolly answers Yula's question. "He is a Source just as Shiya is, but he is like the black spirit he fights and has become tainted over the harshness of the years. He is a corrupt Source."

_ _

Yula repeats what he had just been told, it a frightening concept, the corrupt spirits already causing enough misfortune and pain, the thought that something even more powerful than a spirit could have become corrupt a terrifying realization. "A Corrupt Source..."

_ _

Dolly begins to reassure Yula as his body begins to tremble in fear. "It's alright, it's just a vision of something that has happened long ago, nothing here can hurt you." She begins humming a familiar song to help calm him as she pets his head.

_ _

A look of realization fills Yula's face, the black wolf quickly pulling away from Dolly and backing away from her, he looking from her and down to the still form of his mother. He had not realize it until now but that tune that Dolly had been humming every now and again was the same song that his mother was known to sing or hum to herself. "You..." All of the mannerisms, habits and actions that she had constantly been doing that were not typical to Dolly's habits were completely typical to ones that his mother had been known to do. He looks from the two figures, the clothes they were wearing exactly the same. "Mom..."

_ _

He looks back Dmitri as he and wolf spirit fight one another, the wolf spirit being driven away by Dmitri. "You're spirit wasn't consumed by Wolf Spirit... that means you were reborn..." He stares at Dolly as she smiles back at him. "This is who you are now... you were reborn as Dolly..."

_ _

Dolly tilts her head to the side as she responds. "I have been reborn many times and in many forms, and every time my life is ended in the same way." She looks back to Dmitri. "Since this moment he has taken it upon himself to see that I suffer, every time I am given a new form he hunts me down and finds me, taking my life just as he did on this day... it is my punishment for trying to end a war that he wanted to take place... for influencing Shiya even after my death too not attack..."

_ _

Yula shakes his head no. "You should not be punished in such a way..."

_ _

"What happens to me is small compared to lives my actions as Kanti have saved... besides, my suffering will not continue for much longer..."

_ _

The vision around Yula begins to fade, he being surrounded by a white fog, signalling to Yula that he was now about to see a vision of the future. "A terrible future is well on its way, and the world will come to an end as a result of it, unless I intervene one last time to stop it."

Yula sighs to himself, the many visions that he had been put through really a lot to take in, Iuana's voice calling out to her brother in a very soft and gentle manner, interrupting him from his thoughts. "Yula?"

Yula turns his head toward the entrance spotting Iuana there. "Hey Iuana..."

Iuana stands within the doorway as she looks around the hut, unsure if she should enter or not. "I just woke up, Achak said that you have been awake for several hours, and that I would find you here, but he also said that you did not want to be bothered."

Yula lets out a sigh as he gets to his feet, moving to the middle of the room and sitting within a circle drawn in its center. "You can come in... I need to tell you about the visions... it's important."

"You had more than one?"

Yula groans at the reminder. "I don't even know how many there was... they just kept coming one after the other... all of them except the last two said the same thing though... a message to Teddy... that he was born different... unique to all others... that he was special... and I think I know exactly in what way..."

Iuana walks over to Yula sitting across from him. "What do you mean?"

Yula thinks back to the very first of the visions, of the vision of the past where their parents had been about to tell them a story before they fell asleep. "Do you remember a story that mom used to tell us when we were little... a story about a set of twins?"

Iuana smiles at the reminder, she indeed remembering that tale. "It was my favourite of the stories our parents would tell us, I would have mom tell it to us practically every other night."

Yula nods his head. "I saw a vision of the past where you asked mom to tell you that story again, that's when I remember the story... and in the visions that followed realized its significance."

He looks to Iuana as he begins telling her a quick run through of the story. "It was about two brothers, twins who were separated soon after birth, one grew up in the safety of the village while the other lived in the harsh wild. The two eventually met again as children and recognized one another right away, they become close and cherished the other as if they had always been together. They would meet one another every day, but still lived in their separate homes."

"One day their mother was taken away and killed by a monster, the two boys were hurt to know of what had happened while their father was devastated. To try and heal the pain his father was feeling the boy that lived in the village told his father about how he had found his brother in the wilds, and the father wanting to mend the family that he had lost caught the wild boy and raised him within the village along with his other son."

"Many years past and the boys grew into young men, soon it was time for them to take their journey to manhood and discover their true names, when they did the twin that had grown up in the wild knew the area as it was familiar to him, and took his brother deeper into the forest than anyone who had been on this journey before them had been, until the two of them reached a tree so tall it touched the clouds, the two boys climbed it and when they reached the top with both gifted with the most amazing of powers. For the first boy, when he opened his mouth a mighty sound that shook both the heavens and the earth and caused all to tremble when hearing it would clap. The boy, announced that his name from this day would be Thunder. The second boy was also given a powerful gift, the light forming into bolts within the sky capable of setting asunder anything they might touch, the lights dancing through the heavens at his command, the second twin announced that his from this day forth his name was Lightning."

"The two boys began to travel home, but on their way found the monster that had taken their mother from them, Thunder and Lightning worked together to fight it and eventually killed the creature that had took their mothers life, with the creature's defeat their mother's spirit came back to her body, and she was alive once again, and the three of them returned to the village, reuniting with their father and once again living as a complete family."

Iuana nods her head well aware of the story. "Yes... but... what does that story have to do with Teddy?"

Yula begins to explain. "Don't you feel a little more than nostalgia from this story? There are parts about it that are familiar. Two twins that cherish the other yet live separate lives, one living within the wilds the other not?"

Iuana nods her head, having never really held the story against Teddy's situation to compare. "Well... I suppose..."

"All the visions said the same thing, that Teddy was born with a gift that he was refusing to accept, I know what that gift is and Teddy must have realized it too. Teddy is destined to and is going to become Lightning, and fate is going to pit him against the monster that killed our mother."

Iuana seems confused. "Monster...? I thought it was the domestics that-"

Yula quickly speaks up, even though that is what everyone thought had happened it was not the truth. "No. It wasn't the Domestics, it was a man of wild decent that wanted the wilds and domestics to fight and kill each other, a being different and superior from all others, one that cannot die by time, the same man that I saw shoot Dolly to try and kill her... he was the same as Shiya... someone with the strange and fighting gifts that he has, except instead of ice he is able to control the earth, the ground shakes and rises at his command, he uses the entire vast earth is his weapon."

Yula looks down to the ground. "He's filled with so much hatred... he wants to destroy everything, not just the wilds and the domestics but the entire world, he wants it all to come to an end... the only one that can stop him is the one with the gift to control the dangerous lights that dance through the sky. Lightning..."

Iuana's voice begins to shake, this not a foe that sounded easy to beat. "And Teddy is going to fight him...?"

Yula nods his head. "Teddy will become Lightning, I am certain of this, but no good will come from the upcoming fight... before I finally woke I was shown two visions of what would happen in the future... if Teddy fails to destroy the monster, and loses the battle, the earth will freeze and all life upon it will die. Everything will be destroyed."

Iuana is concerned, this meaning one thing. "Destroyed by ice... this man you're talking about is going to make my father destroy the entire world...?"

Yula nods his head, there also another outcome. "If he wins then yes, that is what will happen, but if the battle turns in Teddy's favour and he destroys the monster, Teddy will create an imbalance within nature, and he will become a corrupt monster just as his foe had been, and the sky will rain down pain and suffering upon all those who are near him... and an innocent spirit will be scarified to stop him..."

Yula closes his eyes. "Our mother was an innocent spirit who was killed by the monster... but her spirit was not taken by the wolf like all other members of Raven Wolf are, and she was born anew into a new form only to be slain by that same monster. Again and again her spirit is born into someone else, and again and again that same monster finds her and kills her to appease his rage. Our mother Kanti was the first... the host in which the spirit resides in now will be the last... for she will sacrifice her existence to stop the calamity that is fast approaching and keep the world from destruction..."

Iuana questions Yula. "And the host that mother's spirit was reborn into... do you know who it is?"

Yula nods his head, he knew exactly who it was. The guide that had shown him through the dreams, who looked like someone he knew but did not act like herself, instead doing things that his mother would do and humming songs his mother was known to sing. "It's Dolly... Dolly is the one that mother's spirit has been reborn into... and she is the one that will be sacrificed to save the world... If Teddy loses the battle and Shiya is used to destroy the world, Kanti... mom's spirit... will be the only one that could possibly stop him... while if Teddy wins the battle and becomes corrupt and rains down destruction, then Dolly will be the only one that can stop him."

Yula lowers his gaze to the ground. "Either way... the world is going to suffer... and could very possibly come to an end..."

Iuana shakes her head, this not making sense. "But... you said that our father and Teddy both return to the village... alive and unharmed."

Yula turns away from her, knowing that this was going to eventually come up after hearing him explain this. "I lied to you... you were so worried that I said something without thinking it through to try and ease your distress... I'm so sorry about that..."

He seems reluctant to continue talking, Yula doing so anyway despite how unwanted the information might be. "The truth is... neither of them will get the chance to come back..."

Iuana sits down next to Teddy's sleeping figure, his head near her lap, she placing a hand on either side of his face and leaning toward him, resting her forehead on his. "It's time to wake up Teddy."

_ _

Teddy wakes up, a smile filling his face when he sees nothing but Iuana's big beautiful eyes in front of him, he certainly could get used to something like this. "Hey Iuana, you know I wouldn't dream of sleeping in."

Teddy slowly opens his eyes waking up from the memory, it felt like it had been ages since he was last been woken buy Iuana like that, he really missing the way she would choose to wake him up and then just seem to energize him with something as simple as a smile.

He pushes himself up and looks around him, no longer in the fields his memory had taken place in and once again within the glass cage the True Bloods kept him in.

"Iuana's absolutely beautiful."

Teddy quickly turns toward his guard, finding him sitting at his usual post while holding a strange yellow crystal. "Where did you get that name? And how would you know what she looks like?"

Fenrir looks up from the crystal he was staring down at, he kind of feeling bad after learning this information. "I didn't realize you had someone like that waiting for you..."

Teddy gets to his feet as he walks over toward Fenrir, demanding answers from him. "How did you find out about her?"

Fenrir clutches the yellow crystal in his hands as he gets to his feet. "Calm down will you, no one else saw her just me, you have nothing to worry about." He holds the crystal out to Teddy showing it to him. "I saw her in this... some sort of image appeared in it right before you woke up, I saw her there... she was waking you up."

Teddy shakes his head, none too keen about the True Bloods having the ability to just look at his memories like that. "What is that thing?"

Fenrir shrugs his shoulders. "I don't know, I found it near you after the Lightning Source disappeared and you passed out again. I think it might belong to you."

Teddy stares at the crystal. "It's not mine, it doesn't look familiar at all."

Fenrir doesn't seem too sure. "I think you might be wrong about that."

The door to the laboratory opens Rebecca quickly rushing inside, her fast walk turning into a run when she sees that Teddy is up. "He's awake! How long has he been awake for? Oh my look at him! Fenrir you should have called me as soon as he woke up!!"

Fenrir ears fall back in annoyance as he turns to his mother, she having arrived before he had gotten the chance to even attempt to do anything like that. "He just got up, I didn't have time to call you."

Rebecca is having a hard time holding her excitement in. "I can't believe it. How are you feeling? Dizzy? Sore? Flustered, anything just say it! Tell me now I need to know!"

Teddy looks to Rebecca a little confused. "I'm just fine, why are you suddenly so concerned about this?"

Rebecca pounds her hand against the glass in her excitement. "Zephyr is going to be so pleased! I knew that it would work eventually! Persistence is the key to everything!" She turns away and quickly walks back to her computer.

Fenrir stares at Teddy he now beginning to question him, he finding it odd that Teddy could be so normal right now. "You really don't feel any different at all?"

Teddy shakes his head no. "Should I?"

Fenrir shrugs his shoulders. "Well... you're a Source now... for some reason I thought that it would kind of make you feel different from how you usually feel..."

"A Source...?" Teddy lowers his gaze to the ground, he starting to recall this. "That's right... I agreed to help him... because Dmitri attacked Dolly..." He looks back to Fenrir. "Are you sure it worked? I really don't feel any different at all."

Fenrir looks over to his mother. "Mom says that's what all the readings are pointing to, I don't know a whole lot about all that technical stuff... but I do know that the Lightning Source is gone now... and that you look a little different than you did before."

Teddy seems confused. "Different, how do I look different?"

"It's not really a huge change, but still a noticeable one none the less." Fenrir looks around him for something that would help him explain, his mother reaching into her pocket and pulling out a small mirror used for makeup, holding it out to him while not turning her eyes away from her work for a moment. "Here honey use this."

Fenrir walks over to his mother taking the small mirror from her, returning to Teddy and holding it up to him so that he could see his reflection. it not taking Teddy long to spot what was different. "My eyes are a different colour..." He lifts his hand to his face. "They're yellow..."

Dmitri shakes his head no. "You're special Conner, you always were."

_ _

Teddy frowns as he looks up from the folder and over to him. "If there's one thing I hate being called its special."

_ _

Dmitri turns away. "I just want to make sure you're worthy of being my comrade."

_ _

Teddy seems confused. "You're the Major of my division, we're already comrades."

_ _

"No, we are not. Me and you will not be comrades until you're eyes are once again their familiar golden colour."

Teddy falls silent at the memory. "They're the colour of gold..." He looks to the side as he begins mumbling to himself. "Dmitri knew this was going to happen to me..."

Fenrir is puzzled by the comment. "Who?"

Teddy turns away from him rather shocked by this realization. "Never mind..."

He walks to the back of his cell while looking down to his hands. He really didn't feel any different, was this normal for someone who played host to something as powerful as a Source?

He frowns thinking to himself, if he really had such a thing inside him then was he able to do things similar to what Shiya and Dmitri were able to do? At this point it really didn't feel like he could do anything different or out of the ordinary at all. "Lightning... I am really Lightning...?"
