He felt like a outsider, even though he had a loving family where he was now walking away from, a book under his arm which he no doubt he could easily recite because he read it over and over everyday. His lightly tan skin from barely being outside, the only time when he did leave was when he went to his spot to read his book in peace, easily allowed his blue tee-shirt and plain white pants, which was dirty near the bottom because of all the dirt he was walking over; but he really didn't care. Yawning loudly, he brought his hand over his mouth, covering the small bread which was growing back after he shaved just two days prier to. He sighed and made his way into the large forest more and more, the sounds of cars and people yelling in their blue-tooth slowly fading away until the sound of nature was all he could hear.

Birds singing, a river was heard just a few miles down, though small, it was still strong enough to carry even the best of swimmers away with its currents. He found his spot, a stump under a large tree, the leaves were blooming now, making the pinkness of the flowers growing on it show, he smiled looking up at them with his green eyes, sitting down on the stump, crossing his legs and opened his book and began to read.

Hours may have past for him but he gave no heed to the time, he was so transfixed in the drawings and the information of the book that he could barely hear anything at all. But he could still hear the sound of growling behind him. Putting the book down, he slowly turned around to see a large grey wolf, its gold eyes wide with anger as it prowled low to the ground, looking at the human as he dropped his book and slowly backed away. The wolf, even though was small, could no doubt easily kill the human as it moved closer and closer. A single howl rang out around the wolf as two more flanked behind it, showing it was the Alpha. Backing up more and more, he stepped on a large enough stick that he could use as a weapon, kicking it up he brought the stick before him like a sword he had back home, standing still but loose enough to defend himself. One of the wolves ran after him, jumping in the air as the whistling sound of the stick being flung at the head. The single sound of the wolf yelping as heard as it rolled to the ground, the other two jumped after him growling as he jumped back, swinging the stick side ways hitting one and sending it to the other as they both rolled to the side of the first wolf. The nineteen year old human gave a smirk and turned to leave when he stopped and saw even more wolves behind him.

"Fuck," he cursed to himself before throwing the stick before them to spilt them up for a moment as he ran toward where the river was.

Hot at his heels, the wolves growled and howled as their food for the day ran away from them. Losing breath and jumping over fallen trees, the human found himself at the river side, the waves going much faster today as looked across the water, the small bridges of rocks were the only way to get across from here, her he could risk himself getting eaten and go up the side of the pathway. With the wolves closing in, he had no choice and started to jump on the rocks.

Nearly slipping a few times, the wolves stopped and paced back and froth where he was just at, some jumped in the water, but their surprised screams were short lived as their backs slammed on the rocks hiding under the water. He was almost to the other side, he thought he won, but he lost his footing at the last rock. Screaming he held onto the edge of the grass of the other side. The water felt like ice stabbing at his legs arms and sides. His eyes closed and mouth closed for fear of blinding himself or drowning. His grip started to let up, and before he could yell for help, his grip was fully gone.

He saw blackness under the water, he saw the glimpse of the one wolf stupid enough to go in after him, his body feeling like a rag doll as he was rolled and span under the water. He screamed but all hat came out was bubbles and his air which he had none to spare. He tried to break out of the water's death grip, but before he made it for air, his head hit something hard, the water around him turning red, and then, blackness surrounded him.

Eyes fluttering open, he found himself looking up in a dark cave, a green fire crackling beside him as he looked over at it, the smoke trailing up higher and higher until it left though a small hole, so that the cave would not be full of smoke. He felt his head, it stung and some blood were left from his wound, but something else was on it, black stuff that he couldn't make out, it had a pleasant smell, but other then that, he didn't like it; for he didn't know what to make of it. Whipping his hands on the ground he looked around, nothing was out of place for much of a cave, a few rubbles of rock here and there. But the one thing that caught his eyes was the large pile of leaves in one corner of the cave room. Standing up and groaning in pain for his sides still hurt, he wobbled over to see what it was; stopping when he was close enough when he saw, that it was a large nest.

Scared at what could make such a large nest, he backed away slowly, only to feel his back hit something that was not there before. His hands going behind him to touch at whatever was behind him, it felt hard, but smooth at the same time. His head shot up and was shocked beyond belief at what he was seeing.

The head was triangle like a single lighter green horn above the nose of the muzzle, some teethes showing from the upper part of its jaw and the lower part. It looked to have fins were the ears would be, going slightly down the side of its face. The eyes black were his part was white, but green like his own eyes. Long spikes on the head as long as his arms were seen going back of the head, and even down the back, which were as black as the nails on its huge claws. Wings tightly on the side of the large beast and the tail long and was no doubt heavy enough to kill him with a single swipe. The human was looking at the very thing from his book; a dragon!

He stood transfixed, his head looking up at it as the dragon looked down at him. He blinked, it blinked, he blinked again and it blinked again; then he ran screaming. Not watching where he was going he slammed himself into the cave wall, groaning as he fell on his back, before hearing what sound like laughter come from the dragon.

"Now that!" the dragon said in a sweet female voice while covering her muzzle with a paw. "Was the most funniest thing I have seen in over a thousand years!" the human slowly got up but fell back down, the dragoness walking over and picked him up by the back of his shirt and set him on his feet, the human turning to look at the female dragon before backing to the wall, nearly hugging it as the dragon tilted her head. "What's the matter, oh, sorry," she laughed slightly showing her many sharp teethe. "I keep forgetting, you humans fear us." He peered down, looking at the human before her till her nose almost touched his own. "My name is Lenna, and you?"

"B...Brandon..." he quivered as she nodded.

"Nice to meet you Brandon, how is the head?" "F...fine," he answered as she too nodded. "A...are you going to eat me?" the dragon looked shocked and recoiled before laughing again.

"Eat you, heavens no!" she laughed once more leaning down. "You may fear nothing Brandon, those stories you hard of us dragon kidnapping your princesses and other such things are not all true, we do not eat humans, that was just what a king started to that knights would start attacking us." She rolled her eyes and sighed, no doubt remembering back to the times when she was hunted like a common rat in a women's home.

"Oh," he answered still looking up at him before groaning, his head throbbing in pain as he held it, Lenna leaned down and sniffed at his head.

"Hrm seems that the healing potion still hasn't numbed the pain, I guess it can't be help; you did bang your head pretty hard."

"You saw that?!" he asked looking back up at her. "Then why didn't you help me!" the dragoness recoiled from the force of his voice before sighing and laying down on her side slightly, like a dog when it was out of breath. Her paw went behind him to his back and pushed him closer to her, he was then set on her belly, as if he was sitting on a sofa. At once he noticed the nice warm feeling of her fire within her belly.

"There are rules that we dragons must follow," he was told as she went on. "You see, we can not interfere with a human's life unless they are in danger. If you didn't hit that rock, you would've been just fine, trust me on that." She turned her head to look at him; her large eyes were as big as his fist alone. "But when I saw you clunk your head on the rock, and you weren't moving, save for the water moving you; I then acted and brought you to my home."

"And where am I?" he asked as she looked out toward the opening of the cave.

'We are in the middle of what you humans call The Bermuda Triangle."Brandon's eyes grew wide as he pushed himself away from Lenna and running toward the cave's mouth, before stopping dead in his tracks as he looked down. Trees as far as the eye could see were before him. He could see a beach that covered the outline of the island he was brought to, ocean seen for who knew how far and wide. Looking down again he noticed that the high mountain he was on was way too steep for him to survive if he were to try and leave without the help of a dragon. "Hundreds of years ago,"Lenavoice was heard behind him as he just looked out into the vast area around him. "We had to get away from your kind in fear of being found, but six families of humans came with us, friends of our race in a way. If a human was brought here by a dragon because we thought they were in danger, these families would help said human with food, clothing and anything they needed."

"Can I just leave?"Brandonasked looking up at her as she just slightly shook her head.

"I'm sorry but you can't leave until you prove you are trustworthy of holding our secret."Brandonscuffed and walked back into the cave, he was upset and he was not about to let anyone around him think otherwise. Lenna sensed his unhappiness and followed him into the cave again, finding him at the wall far from the fire and her nest. His knees to his chest as he slowly rocked back and forth muttering to himself all the while.

Many times Lenna tried to coax him out of the spot he was in, but he didn't even speak to her. Soon nightfall came and before going to bed, she told him that if he wanted to, he could sleep beside her so that the cold wind would not chill him. Again he said nothing and only when she fell asleep did he too try to sleep. As the night went on, the moon hung high over the sky leaving a waxy color on the ground before the earth. The wind picked up, but those with fire n their belly had no trouble with the cold, it was the one human who was staying with Lenna that was having trouble. His teeth rattled from the cold, his hands in his pocket as he tried to stay warm, but it was not working at all. The fireLenahad made long ago has long since died out, leaving him shaking in cold. Lenna was watching him the whole time, her eyes half closed as she saw him suffer, she wanted to go over and bring him to her belly to warm him up, but she knew that he would not like it if she tried that, he would have to go on his on.

Watching him more, she gave a small smile as she saw him move slowly toward her, moving her paw slightly as he went toward her belly, his chest to it and hugged her slightly as much as he could to feel the warmth around his body, soon he fell asleep, his hands falling to his sides and a light snore was all that was heard. Lenna then closed her eyes and slowly curled around him her head near his as she brought a paw under his head to use as a pillow, and she too fell asleep.

The next morning,Brandonwas still asleep, Lenna was up though and watching him, a small smile on her muzzle as he hugged her tail saying something about it being soft before hearing the sound of wings beat come from the outside. Looking out she saw a bright red dragon land, his horns curved backwards and scales as red as blood, on his back stood a human female, long white hair and skin as pale as the snow, her blue eyes locking onto Lenna as the dragon allowed the human off. She thanked the dragon who only smiled and nodded to her. When the two were close to Lenna they stopped. The dragon brought his right front leg down, kneeling in a way as he nose touched the ground, the human female brought a arm over her chest and bowed as well on her right knee.

"Please do not kneel before me whileBrandonis here," she told them looking back at the human hugging her tail. "I do not wish him to know about me just yet."

"As you wish Princess Lenna," the dragon spoke. "Should I tell the others of this as well?"

"If you please, yes." He nodded and turned to leave before looking back at the human female he brought.

"I will be back soon to pick you up."

"Thank you Drakiea," she answered back. "I shall be here." Smiling the dragon took off leaving the female dragon and human alone withBrandon. "How goes his wound?"

"His head had gone down from the swelling," she answered with a nod. "I do think the headache went away as well, he would at time flinch in his sleep last night, but stop some time before dawn." The human went over and placed a hand over his head, closing her eyes before nodding.

"You are right," she answered with another nod. "He is very lucky you are one of the fastest fliers around here."

"Yes..." she answered looking back down at him.

"Does something bother you Princess?" Lenna spoke to the human about howBrandonreacted to staying here until he was proven worthy of not telling anyone about where they were. The human nodded her head while wipingBrandon's forehead with a wet cloth. "Well I can't say I understand why he would react as that, for I've been raised around your kind all my life, but of you wish, I will be his guild, and it might be easier for him to be around a human for a bit."

"But..." Lenna started to say something but stopped as the human looked to her.

"There was another reason you brought him here, wasn't there?" Lenna didn't say anything as the human sighed. "Do not worry too much on it,"

"But what of my father Zelda," she answered looking at her. "What will he think?"

"You will soon become our full ruler Lenna," Zelda spoke looking up at her. "You must think for yourself and believe what you do is good for you and for your followers." Lenna only slightly sighed while looking down at the human before her, Zelda smiling before looking atBrandon. "How about you go out and hunt, I shall be here when he wakes up and try to talk to him, alright?" Lenna gave it some thought and nodded, trying to makeBrandonlet go, and when he did, she took off into the air.
