Ch.5 Not such good news and dinner.

The wolf let out a sigh as he leaned forward, resting his elbows onto the table while running his paws over his face. "Revenge huh."

The captain nodded. "That's what she said before that wrench stabbed our king. I was so useless at the time." The bear was looking down at the floor in shame, eyes watering from the memory of the past king.

"So is his son going to be king now?" Galle asked as he leaned back in his chair to think more on the situation.

Nogra nodded but still didn't look up. "Yes, someday he will be but for now he's being trained by our wise ones till they see that he's ready for the title."

"Then who's in charge for the time being?" Galle asked.

The bear shifted uncomfortably. "Well...I'm supposed to be till the young prince is ready, but after what I have done with my men...I...don't think..." His voice trailed off as the captain laid his ears back against his head.

"That was a reckless act captain," Galle said harshly, "think of what might have happen if the neighboring clans got hint of the bear clan not having a king and now without an army to defend themselves."

The captain closed his eyes as he was being now yelled at by the wolf. "You think your king would like the way you are running things in his absence, if he was still alive what would he have said?"

The bear shook his head. "He wouldn't be pleased, I should just resigning my position as captain. I know now that I'm not fit to lead my men anymore."

"Yes you should." The wolf growled, Nogra winced at the words as tears started to flow down the bears muzzle. "but..." Galle started before he let out a heavy sigh. "right now your people needs a leader for the time being, till the prince is ready to take on the roll as king you should stay captain. Just don't do anything reckless anymore." The bear nodded as he whipped his muzzle with his arm. "Secondly I'm sending some of my troops to your territory for the time being, at least a show of some military strength will help your clan out from being attacked."

"Thank you my lord." The bear said with a voice that was barely heard.

The alpha gave him a small smile and patted him on the shoulder. "but as for my former daughter, I have no clue what her attentions are anymore but I'll have my men keep an eye out for her."

The bear was finally able to look up to the wolf. "What will you do with her?"

Galle looked away, out the nearby window. Seeing how dark it was soon getting he knew dinner was almost ready. "I guess try and take her alive, but I do have one thing to ask you."

"Anything my lord." The bear said as he gave the alpha his full intention.

Kyo heard a small knocking at the door, he sat up from the bed and walked over and opened the door slightly. Shine was on the other side, upon seeing the human the slave gave Kyo a mean glare.

"I need to tell lord Icewaver that dinner is almost ready." The human said.

Kyo nodded, "Thank you. I'll be sure to get him up."

Shine placed his hand on the door as Kyo was about to close it. "No, I'm the wolf's slave not you."

Kyo started at the human still confused. "What is your deal?" he asked calmly.

The human just gripped the door harder. "I've been busting my ass off to become one of the wolves personal slave, and I'll be damned if I'm losing that job to you."

Kyo let out a small laugh. "You don't listen do you, I'm not his slave."

"I know you're his pet." Shine said harshly.

Kyo smiled even more. "Nope, I'm his lover."

The slave's face lost all expression as his moth hung open, with his lose grip on the door Kyo was able to close it in the human's face. Kyo turned and was chuckling to himself as he walked back to the bed, he climbed onto it and started at his sleeping wolf. He marveled at how cute his wolf looked with his grey fur coat but the one spot on his forehead that was white. The human ran his hand down the wolf's chest and feels every muscle that lay beneath the fur, Icewaver let out a small moan while he shifted under the human's touch.

The wolf slowly opened his eyes and smiled at his human. "Hey Pup."

Kyo smiled back as he slowly moved over on top of the wolf when Icewaver moved onto his back. "Dinner is almost ready master."

"Ok but I think we should bathe first don't you think, it's been a long day." Kyo bent down and kissed the wolf on the lips, making Icewaver chuckle. "Guess that is a yes then."

They both slid out of the bed and moved to the bathroom door which was located in the same room, after filling the big tube with warm water. Icewaver stripped out of his pants, and then moved over to help Kyo. His smile disappeared when he took off the human's shirt. A scar was still visible on the human's chest that had to be the spot where he once was stabbed. Icewaver got onto his knees and let out a small whimper, he drew his face closer and placed it against the scare. Kyo saw his wolf start to cry, he brought his hands up to wrapped them around the wolf's head and pull him into a comforting hug.

"It's not your fault." Kyo said softly.

The wolf shook his head. "I should have been there. This would have never happen if I was there to protect you." Icewaver cried, he brought his own paws up around the human's waist, pulling Kyo closer as he let out everything.

"Shhh...it's ok, it's in the past now." The human tried to comfort the wolf. He ended up pulling the wolf away from himself and motioned Icewaver to the tub, Kyo stripped the rest of the way out of his clothing before entering it himself.

Once in Kyo moved over to his wolf and held Icewaver's cheeks gently in each hand. "I don't want to see you cry over this again ok master." Kyo said softly, "We didn't know that was going to happen and you had work to do at the time. It wasn't your fault." He placed his lips onto the wolf's, both closing their eyes as one another started to part their lips. Icewaver gently sliding his tongue across Kyo's before letting out a soft moan, Icewaver moved his paws up Kyo's back to rest them on his shoulder blades before moving them back down. The wolf felt a shiver come over Kyo's body when he slid his claw over the human's skin, the kiss lasted a few more seconds before Icewaver broke apart when he felt an unbelievable sensation down below.

"Pup," the wolf said as he rested his forehead on the human's chest. "We need to get ready for dinner, you know how father feels."

Kyo nodded before he moved his hands into the soapy water and wetting the wolf's chest, running his fingers threw the fur. Icewaver smiled at his pup as he watched the human start to clean him. "That's not helping the situation right now."

Kyo chuckled as he continued the cleaning the wolf. Taking a bit longer than what they wanted to, they both got cleaned and dried. Icewaver went to his closet and got out a nice pair of pants, he looked over to see Kyo sitting on the bed.

Kyo had his old pants in his hands and was about to put them on before the wolf swiped them out of the human's hands, Kyo was about to protest till the wolf gripped each side of the pant's waist band and tore them apart.

"I don't ever want to see you wear these rags again." Icewaver growled. Kyo knew that his clothes that he had worn was nothing like the fancy ones that the wolves wore, the only problem now was he had nothing else with him.

"But master, what am I going to wear now?" he asked still stunned.

Icewaver walked back to his closet, Kyo sat patiently as Icewaver came back out with a pair of folded paints that looked like they were for the slaves. The wolf held them out with a smile on his face, Kyo put on a smile as he took them but was still disappointed. Once in his hands he noticed that the material was softer than the ones he remembered. He opened them up and looked at them more carefully, he saw that the seams was gold trimmed and had a nice gold vine like pattern running down the left leg.

Kyo looked up at the wolf with a real smile this time to see that Icewaver was also smiling back. "What, you actually thought I was going to give you slave clothing?" he chuckled.

Kyo shook his head as he got up and gave his wolf a big hug, the wolf placed his paw on top of the humans head. "We need to get going." The wolf said.

Kyo led the way out of the bed room with the new pair of pants on that seemed to fit almost perfectly and a smile on his face, the thought of seeing the whole family together again made the human's heart race. Kyo and Icewaver entered the dining room to be rushed by a pup.

"Pup." The young wolf cried out before jumping at the human.

Kyo thought he was going to see the little fur ball that he remembered but was somewhat shocked to see him slightly taller than his waistline lunge at his with full impact. Kyo smacked backwards onto the floor hard, but managed to laugh as he scratched the wolf behind the ears.

"Froshen!" Icewaver growled, the pup laid his ears flat as he slowly looked up to his uncle. "Where are your manners?"

"But uncle I'm excited to see Pup again, I bet you did the same thing."

Icewaver grabbed the pup by the scruff and lifted him up off Kyo. "No I didn't."

Kyo laughed as he got up off the floor. "He's right, instead from what I heard he threw me through a window."

Froshen looked up at his uncle stunned. "How could you?"

Icewaver flicked the pup on the nose, "Shut up, I didn't throw him anywhere, I dove threw it with him in my arms."

Kyo got up and hugged his wolf from the side. "And I'm grateful that my wolf was able to protect me."

Icewaver let go of Froshen and smiled down at Kyo, he gave the human a kiss on the cheek but soon ushered the two young ones into the dining room.

"Pup sit by me." Froshen said as he got into his seat and was bouncing up and down.

Icewaver pulled a chair out for Kyo. "No he is sitting by me."

"Nooooo..." Froshen whined, "You always sit by him."

Icewaver leaned onto the table. "Because he's mine."

"Pup." Kyo heard from behind. The human turned to see the rest of Froshen's siblings run up to him and hugged him tightly. "Sit by me." The one said.

"No by me." Came the other.

"Get off him, he's sitting by me." Icewaver announced.

"Aww, that's no fair you always sit by him." All the pups said in unison.

"What's going on here?" Everyone turned to see a female wolf come walking though the doorway.

"Grandma!" The two pups yelled and ran up to give her a big hug.

She laughed while giving the pups a hug back, "Ok, now what's the yelling about."

"Uncle won't let pup sit by us." The one whined.

The other nodded. "Yeah he's being mean."

Icewaver gave a small growl which made the pup's ears lay flat. "Well looks like I can settle that." Everyone looked to see Galle walk into the dining room followed by Nogra.

Icewaver let out a sigh as he knew his father would make pup sit by him. "Pup," the alpha started, "You sit by me at dinner time." Galle pointed to the seat at his left. Everyone let out a small whimper, even Icewaver.

Kyo looked up at his master, who gave him a nod, and made his way to the seat. He waited until the alpha was seated before sitting down, followed by everyone else. To Kyo it felt a bit weird to be dinning beside the alpha, the big wolf kept asking him questions and Kyo tried his best to answer. When the mention of his hunting skills improved Galle's ears perked up.

"Well I guess we'll have to out again sometime." The alpha said.

"Sure," Kyo said quietly, while the conversations continued Kyo constantly taking glances over to Icewaver, the wolf was talking to Nogra but could tell his attention was on him due to the fact his ears keep twitching his way. Dinner went well as the family went upon their normal routine and retreated into one of the lounge room. Icewaver took this moment to take Kyo and lay with him on the floor in front of the fire place that a slave had started just before they entered.

Heavshal looked down at the two and smiled, "So what do you two have planned for tomorrow?" Icewaver's mother asked.

The wolf nuzzled Kyo from behind. "I think after I'm done with the guards, that we could go out into town for a little."

Kyo blushed when his master started to cuddle with him in front of everyone, his gaze fell upon the bear that was invited to join them. The whole time the bear was with him he was fairly quiet, and somewhat looked uneasy, "Captain, what do you have planned?" Kyo asked.

The bear let out a chuckle. "Please, call me Nogra." Kyo leaned back against his wolf as he nodded. "As for what I have planed, I thought about visiting your blacksmith here in town. I heard that they do some very fancy crafting."

"Yes," Galle said while he held out his arm to show his cuffs. "Our smiths are very talented in their craft." The bear looked at the blue band around the wolfs arm, a gold design of an eagle was carved so the wings were wrapped around it. The wolf clan's moon crest on top of the eagles head.

"It's nice." The bear said before standing up. "Well thank you for everything my lord," the bear bowed to Galle. "But I think I'm going to turn in for the night."

Galle bowed his head slightly, the bear turned and headed out the door. It wasn't long after the guest left that the rest of the family, one by one, started to leave.

"Don't stay up to late boys." Galle said before leaving the room himself.

Icewaver held Kyo closely while he nuzzled his human. "You ready to go to bed pup?"

Kyo let out a small yawn before he sat up and stretched, Icewaver following his human. When the two entered the room Kyo noticed that the slave was already gone for the night, "Master, I don't think your slave likes me that much." Kyo stated.

"I noticed when we walked out, he wasn't giving you the best look." The wolf said while moving into the bed room. "The only reason I have him is because my father gave him to me."

Kyo stood beside the bed and they both stripped out of their clothing. "That's nice master but I dont want to have a problem with anyone."

Icewaver moved the covers while he slipped into the bed, "I know, I'll have a talk with him tomorrow before we head into town."

Kyo lay beside the wolf, he rested his head onto the wolf's chest while wrapping his arms around the wolf's torso. "Thank you master."

The wolf smiled as he licked the top of the human's head. "Anything for you Pup. Now get some sleep, it's going to be a big day tomorrow. Kyo cuddled up closely to the wolf before he closed his eyes, Icewaver stayed awake till his heard the human soft breathing and knew that he was asleep. The wolf gave the human one last lick on the cheek before he laid his head down beside Kyo's, Sleep came fast as Icewaver held his love threw the night.
