A fennec, in a settlement of avians, continues to be dismayed.

~ The predominantly beige office with the well worn green carpet was a bustling pulse of activity, as the barn owl glowered down to the fennec setting out paperwork across the counter. Each document in turn, he spun around to note the relevant particulars.

~ "Current address here... Full legal name here... Birthday here...", on down through his stack of pages and letters, before looking up to the owl's patient gaze for judgement.

~ Without looking away, she reached over to place a hand on her 'Denied' stamp as she pulled his application in closer with the other.

~ With the flat tone of an ambush predator, "Your doctor signed in blue ink."
