The Werewolves of Ashtree Hollow
Life has gotten in the way of my writing for quite some time now. I can't post new stories as often as I'd like, but thankfully I have a new commission completed! Finally!
This is a simple story of a young man named Chris, and his first, personal encounter with the werewolves dwelling in the woods of his childhood home. It was commissioned by Cynderfan90 over on FA. :)
Hope you all enjoy it. All votes, faves, and especially comments are welcome. Let me know what you think!
Rain was falling softly on the upper branches of the forest as Chris made his way down the trail. The woods were dark: the cloudy, grey sky adding nothing but shadows to the evergreen trees in every direction as water pattered softly to the muddy ground. He’d left any signs of civilization a good few miles behind him, ready to begin the day with his usual, daily routine out into the wilderness.
Despite it being a dreary day in Ashtree Hollow, Chris would never let the weather deter him from this journey. He felt at home in these woods. He was aware of the dangers they possessed, and he respected them. He was also prepared to survive by any means necessary, though nothing had ever given him reason to fear for his life.
Chris was tall for a member of his village, with a narrow, lanky build and a head full of blond hair. He wore a black raincoat over his dark blue hoodie, with a heavy backpack slung across his shoulder. His hat was colored with a black and red pattern, the brim dripping with moisture and texture dampened from the rainfall. His navy blue jeans stretched down his legs to a pair of brown, military-style hiking boots, which sunk deeply into the muck as he came down a dip in the path.
With a frown, Chris bent down and pulled his shoes from the encroaching muck, choosing a safer path closer to the treeline. He was wandering from the well-kept paths close to the town now: choosing a deeper road that lead towards the heart of the woods, and the werewolves that dwelled within.
Although he’d grown up in the town, Chris had always felt like an outsider. Nineteen years of his life had been spent growing up with his parents, going to school, making a few friends along the way, and trying to find a purpose in life. Although many welcomed him with smiles and promise of companionship, he could never find someone of something that could fill an emptiness in his heart.
He quickly grew tired of trying to find a place in the human world. And so, he looked to the wolves of the woods for answers.
For the entirety of his childhood, Chris had been warned not to stray too far into the woods. Fear was crammed into his skull the instant he came into the world, along with all the other children of Ashtree Hollow. They learned from an early age that the woods held nothing but danger. Just as many were brought up with tales of the boogeyman, or the monster under the bed, you learned quickly that the inside of your own home was safe, and the forests at night were not.
Chris however, didn’t share this fear. Fear turned to curiosity, and soon after, fascination. Unlike the other children, he’d never allowed the words of his elders turn his attention away from the natural attraction he felt towards the deeper places of the wilderness. While most of his friends spoke of a life away from the town they’d grown up in, his attention always returned to the mysteries that nobody seemed willing to explore.
From as early as sixteen, he’d begun to wander into the woods, searching for a secret calling that he couldn’t place. He always felt at home the further he travelled: inhaling the strong scent of pine mixed in with the clear, mountain air. It reinvigorated him, and the soft rain that wetted the environment around him today only served to magnify the strength and pleasantness.
It was during those fateful days that he’d learned about the true inhabitants of the woods. It didn’t take him long for the wolves in the woods to reach out to him. A human intruder such as himself wasn’t welcome. Their only experience with humans involved large, loud adults and teenagers, either trying to hunt them or to prove to themselves that there was nothing to fear, as young humans tend to do.
They made it clear that he wasn’t welcome from the start. Chris was frightened away during his first encounter, with deep growls and snarls coming from deep within the darkness to send him scurrying away back to the safety of his parent’s home. He would remain far away from the woods for months, before the longing he felt in his breast urged him to go back.
He continued to return every few months, until this very day. It had only been a few weeks since his last visit, and yet he couldn’t wait any longer. He’d heard a couple of his dad’s friends boasting of setting traps in the woods: fearsome traps that locked around the leg of any creature unfortunate enough to step into them. He didn’t know what he could do about it, but he had to make sure that the wolves were safe. He knew all the favoured hunting spots of the townspeople, and where they would place them. He just needed to be careful.
Even if the wolves didn’t like him, he couldn’t fathom the thought of any getting hurt.
As he made his way around a bend in the trail, he paused. He took the pack of his back and unzipped the front, bending low to take a sip from a canteen of water. He then placed it back in his pack, and began to search the woods for a long stick. He found one, lifted it from the wet, grimy mud, before continuing onwards. With every step, he placed it into the ground in front of him, searching every pile of leaves and watered mud. He just needed to go far enough before the wolves began to warn him back, and he could warn them about the traps.
Little did he know however, that he had already been found.
Nina crouched low in the bushes outside of the human intruder’s vision, watching the man’s progression through her woods. Her yellow eyes narrowed, her nostrils taking in the familiar scent.
She could recognize that human anywhere: with his long, spindly body and odd, smoky smell. He was the only human that her wolves couldn’t seem to scare away. He would run in the opposite direction, fast as his long legs would carry him, whenever she told the pack to warn him from coming any further. Despite this however, she could always expect a return visitation.
Her head tilted with curiosity when the human picked up a large stick, and began walking forwards along the path. A confused look came across her muzzle when he began to hit the ground with the stick before each step. This was something new, and she felt the hairs rise on the back of her neck. She bared her fangs, growing suspicious of his intent.
Every human visitor couldn’t be trusted. The only way to keep her home, and her wolves safe, would be to keep every human far away. If she couldn’t scare this one away permanently, well… perhaps it was time to take a more drastic measure.
She extended her claws and took a single, silent step to prowl through the woods towards him. It was at that moment, that there came a sharp, distant cry of pain from one of her wolves somewhere up ahead.
Chris froze in his tracks when he heard that distressed cry. There’d been a heavy, meaty clamping sound, followed immediately by the yelps and pained howling of a wolf in need of help somewhere up ahead. It was a sound that he’d never heard before, and yet, one he’d never want to hear again. It was the first time he’d felt the overwhelming need to run towards the wolves, rather than away.
It must’ve been one of the traps that his Dad’s friends had set. It was the only thing that made any sense. Without a second thought, he quickly deterred from the path towards the wolf, not considering the consequences should he be discovered.
He planted the branch on the ground with each step, not wanting to be injured by one of the traps himself in his haste. Branches scratched at his clothes and face as plowed through the underbrush, dirtying his appearance and tearing at his jacket. As he got closer to the source, the sounds of distress turned to fear, and the struggles began to increase.
“I’m here to help! Don’t struggle, I’m going to get you out of that,” Chris shouted, gasping as a prickly branch sliced him across the cheek. He winced, holding his hand there for a moment, before pushing onwards, his boots sinking into the mud. “You’ll only make it worse if you try and force it, I’ll get you out.”
He placed his hand on a tree trunk, carefully stepping around the base, before coming up on a wolf pup with grey fur, his body matted with mud and water, and his leg bloodied and caught in the teeth of a metal trap.
The wolf was young and skinny, though heavily toned with muscle underneath his thick, darkened fur. He had white tufts of fluff on the tips of his ears and tail, whereas his claws were black and fangs a sharp, pearly white. He was humanoid in body shape: as all the wolves of the wood were. Upon seeing Chris, the wolf quickly let out a cry of fear and tried to jump away, yelping as the trap yanked him back down to the ground with a terrible whimper.
“No stop, wait, I’m not here to hurt you,” Chris said quickly, setting his bag off to the side and raising his hands into the air. He knelt down on the muddy ground, staying exactly where he was as the pup fixed him with a steady, fearful glare. The canine’s chest was heaving with exasperation, the pain evident in his shaking limbs.
“Can you speak?” Chris continued, remaining where he was.
The wolf didn’t answer, electing rather to stay still.
Chris swallowed in nervousness, his heart hammering in his chest. This was the closest he’d ever gotten to one of the wolves before. He’d never truly seen them for what they were: magnificent. Were the creature not in trouble he would’ve loved to simply sit with him for a while, and take in every physical feature of the amazing animal in front of him. But time was of the essence.
“If you can understand me, I can get the trap off of your leg,” Chris said, pronouncing each word slowly and carefully. “I’m going to get a bit closer, and I’m going to pry the jaws from your leg, ok?”
Again, the wolf didn’t move, or give any indication that he’d been understood. The canine simply remained on the ground, caked in mud, continuing to stare with wary suspicion.
“I think I can use the stick, and my foot to pry the jaws off of you, but I’m going to need your trust,” Chris said, to another, low growl from the wolf. “Well… maybe just your temporary trust?”
For few moments, neither of them moved. They stared at each other for a long while, before the wolf let out another whine of pain, only daring to move his leg an inch before settling back down into the mud in defeat. With a nod of his head, the wolf placed his paws down behind himself and leaned back, allowing the human to proceed.
With a nod of his head, Chris picked up the thicker end of the walking stick and edged closer to the wolf. His breathing was quick and laboured, his nostrils now picking up the dense, coppery smell of canine now that he was within close proximity.
He lifted the stick upwards and aimed it down towards the small opening in the jaws. He pushed downwards, being mindful of the wolf’s injured leg, and staying as far away as possible. He looked up at the creature at another yelp of pain, but found that the werewolf was simply looking down and gritting his fangs together, baring the brunt of discomfort for whatever he needed to do. After another push, the stick scraped along the pointed teeth of the trap and lodged itself in the ground.
Keeping the stick steady, Chris stood up and placed both hands on the middle of the stick. He prayed that the big piece of lumber would be strong enough for what came next.
“Alright, I’m going to pull down on the stick one way, while pushing my foot into the other side of the jaw,” Chris said, once he’d gotten the wolf’s attention. “When that happens you need to pull your leg away quickly, alright? Else it might snap back on a different part of your leg.”
The wolf looked at him with concern.
“I don’t set these, so I don’t know how else to do it,” Chris said, sharing the werewolf’s fears. “Lets just aim to be quick, ok? On the count of three…”
The werewolf nodded in understanding, before lifting his free leg and bracing it against the ground, preparing to yank himself away from the jaws.
“One… two… three!” Chris shouted, before pulling on the branch with all of his might. The wedged stick dug into the trap’s fangs as his foot came down on the other side, prying the metal braces apart. His muscles strained as he worked to free the wolf, the effort terribly difficult and strenuous.
After about five seconds of strain, the jaws were opened enough for the wolf to quickly yank his legs away. Following Chris’ instruction, the young werewolf practically jumped away from the trap with a jolt of his free leg, launching himself back several feet before landing against the base of a tree. He let out a horrible cry of pain as he landed, immediately lifting up his injured leg from the muck, breathing softly as a fresh stream of blood warmed his fur.
Once the wolf was free, Chris let go and fell backwards. The jaws came shut around the base of the branch with a violent, cracking sound, enough to splinter the wood. He looked over at the wolf, both of them sitting back on the dirty, muddy ground.
“Are you ok?” Chris offered, looking at the injured male.
The werewolf whined and slowly looked down at his leg, carefully placing his footpaw down on the ground. He lifted one of his paws and placed it to the wound, before giving Chris a neutral look. He then placed his free paw on the tree behind him, lifting himself off the ground.
“C-Careful, you shouldn’t put weight on…” Chris began, before quickly silencing himself as the werewolf growled at him. He shrunk back a bit, noticing that the wolf was over six feet tall, and heavily muscled. A fearsome looking sight for sure, especially when he was on the ground, in a completely vulnerable state. Even if the creature had an injured leg.
“Thank you,” The wolf growled, simply. “You should go now, you don’t want my mother to find you out here.” He said, before turning and limping off towards the deeper parts of the woods.
Chris watched the wolf leave, his eyes following the limping gait of the magnificent creature before there was nothing more to be seen. The wolf blended in with the woods and vanished, leaving only the bloody jaws of the trap as a reminder of his presence.
“I… you’re welcome,” Chris mumbled, picking himself up off the ground. His heart continued to hammer in his chest after the encounter, and yet, his body felt warm and tingly with pleasure. A real werewolf! He’d met, seen, and actually spoken with one!
A smile came across his face as he gathered his bag from the ground. He turned back from the way he’d come, only to find himself staring at a huge, white-furred werewolf standing a few feet in front of him by the treeline.
“He never speaks to anyone, you know,” the she-wolf began, her sex evident in the lighter tone of her voice. “Not even me.”
Chris cried out in fear and took a panicked step backwards, tripping over his bag as he let it drop to the ground. He fell back into the much, staring up at the huge wolfess.
“P-Please don’t hurt me!” He begged. “I was just on my way out of the woods, I didn’t mean any harm!”
“Of course you didn’t,” the female werewolf rumbled. “If you came here with ill intent, you wouldn’t be allowed to leave at all. I would tear you to pieces.”
Chris had to bite back a whimper in his throat.
The she-wolf took a step forwards, her footpaws finding the safest places through the muck as she slid to the edge of the treeline, her yellow eyes fixated on the human in front of her. “This isn’t your first time here, this we both know,” she said. “You’ve been coming back here many times. We can’t seem to scare you away.”
“If you want me to stop I can,” Chris answered, the words quick and desperate.
“No need for such things, I assure you,” the werewolf answered. “I saw what you just did for Jake, the youngest of my pups. I would say that you’ve finally earned yourself an introduction.” She finished, her long, pointed ears flicking with amusement. “My name is Nina. What is yours?”
“Chris, m-my name is Chris,” he answered, still not daring to move
“It’s nice to meet you in person Chris, for the first time,” Nina said, nodding in his direction, before her eyes narrowed just a bit. “Oh please do stand up already. You’re a guest in my home now,” she exclaimed, with a small click of her jaws.
Chris immediately attempted to push himself onto his feet, failing in first try. His hands sunk into the mud, putting him off-balance and causing him to fall backwards, close to the disarmed trap. On his second try he braced himself, slowly bending his legs and extending himself into a standing position.
The she-wolf chuckled. “I was wondering how you controlled those long limbs with so little muscle,” she chided. “Seems that you just… don’t.”
“I’m just nervous,” Chris quickly retorted, an apology for being so abrupt catching in his throat. “I’ve just never expected to be given audience with any werewolves, and now I’ve met two in the span of minutes. I need… a moment.”
“I understand, I suppose,” Nina replied. “It’s not something any human is granted the pleasure of. Usually, if a human sees the wolf, by that time it’s too late to do anything. For some lucky few however, we come in peace.”
Chris looked up at his large companion. “Is that why you’ve shown yourself to me?”
“Well, obviously,” Nina replied. “I saw what you did for Jake, and it’s not something a mother wolf can forget. I was considering attacking you when you approached him, but I could see your compassion and care. I knew after a moment that you were going to help him.”
“You were going to attack me?”
Nina gave him a fearsome smile, baring her fangs in playful hostility. “A mother will do anything to protect her young. If you made to threaten him, there would be consequences.”
“I… have no doubt,” Chris said, swallowing in nervousness, eyeing those fangs with renewed horror at what they could’ve done to him. He continued to watch as the impressive shewolf ran her tongue slowly along her fangs before closing her mouth completely.
“I have a proposition for you, little human,” Nina said, her head tilting slightly. She paused for a moment, watching the human’s gaze widen in curiosity. “Would you like to come join me in my cave? I would like to show you more of our home.”
Chris nearly fainted on the spot as he heard Nina’s words. “Come join you in your home?” He repeated, stammering out the words as best he could. “I… I don’t know what to say.”
“Say you’ll accept then,” Nina stated, her tail wagging slowly behind her. “In light of your recent actions it’s the least I can do. I know you’re curious about us.”
When he snapped out of the haze of his surprise, Chris found that he’d taken a step backwards and placed his hand on the tree for support. His mouth had gone dry, and it was all he could do to raise his head and look up at the shewolf once more. “I’m very curious about you Nina,” he answered. “I couldn’t be more happy to be taken to your home.”
Nina smiled at him, taking a step forwards and beckoning him with her tail. “Come with me then, I’ll show you the way.”
Chris followed Nina through the dark woods, deeper than any human had gone before. He knew with each step he was being led further into the werewolf’s home. He felt a mixture of excitement and welling anticipation at being permitted. After all of his years of continued curiosity, and perhaps even foolishness, his efforts were about to bring him reward.
His eyes never left Nina, only ever a few steps of ahead of him. Her form was soft and white, in contrast to the dark woods surrounding; and yet, there was a flowing strength that made his breath quicken and his heart hammer in his chest.
It wasn’t long before he noticed that they weren’t the only ones making their way through the woods. His presence had brought curiosity, and he noticed several shapes following along the edges of the path. Their wolven bodies crept in close, pressing through the bushes and sniffing through the foliage. They weren’t bothering to be silent, not when he was the first human to be brought into their home.
“We are here,” Nina said, casting a glance back at Chris. She offered him a quick smile, before stepping around the trunk of a huge tree, her claws grazing over the bark.
Chris regarded his companion for that moment, watching as her tail vanished around the side of the tree. He quickly followed her around and walked out into a massive clearing, surrounded with the cover of lined tree and thick, pine-covered branches. The ground was hard-packed and flat, save for a huge hill that lifted up towards a grassy plateau covered with trees and assorted foliage. In the side of the hill, there was an outcrop of rocks and boulders, and the yawning entrance of a cave. The entrance itself was lined with overhanging roots from the trees above, dipping downwards, giving the impression that the entrance itself had it own set of natural fangs.
Nina walked into the center of the clearing and turned, facing Chris with a level stare. She extended her arms outwards to each side, her palms facing upwards, and her claws extending to give direction. “Your attention please, everyone,” Nina barked, her yellow eyes casting around to regard the surrounding wolves.
Chris looked around as well, tracking the movements of several shapes through the woods. Some of the other wolves had ventured out into the clearing as well, their fur showcasing a variety of darker browns and greys. None of them had the vibrant white of Nina.
“We have a human within our midst,” Nina began, her arm pointing towards Chris. “Here at my request. Some of you may recognize him, as he’s visited us several times in the past, before being turned away by our warnings. Up until this moment, we all believed him a stubborn fool. Some of you even recommended that we kill him.
Chris swallowed nervously at that. His gaze was drawn to a wolf to his left, who let out a deep, menacing growl at those words.
“I witnessed him release Jake from a human trap just moments ago,” Nina continued. “He has shown compassion and bravery where none was needed. He has proven to me that he is not like the other humans. How do we welcome him?”
The wolf that had growled to Chris’ left perked his ears up as Nina finished. There was a pause of silence among them all, with only the sound of wind rustling the surrounding branches, and the distant patter of light rain to break the silence. It chilled Chris to the bone.
After a long pause however, the wolf to Chris’ left lifted his head towards the sky and began to howl. The haunting sound broke the quiet like a thundering bell, echoing out into the empty woods with piercing clarity.
It wasn’t long before the rest of the wolves added to the cacophony. One by one they all lifted their head and joined the first wolf, adding to the acceptance of Chris into their home as one. Then, when the last wolf had finally begun to howl, Nina lifted her own head and howled along with them.
Chris stood still as the ceremony continued. The beauty of the moment nearly had him in tears as the creatures welcomed him. He knew that from this moment on, everything would change. His relationship with the wolves had been grounded forever.
Then, almost as suddenly as it had begun, the howling cut off, plunging the woods back into silence.
Nina beckoned Chris with a claw, turning and walking towards the entrance to the cave. “Come, Chris,” she said. “Follow me into the depths of my home. There is but one last thing I will offer you, to truly become apart of the pack. The rest of you, give us some privacy, if you please.”
There were a couple of low, chortling growls and yips from the surrounding wolves as Chris obediently followed Nina into the cave. He interpreted it as humor, an odd sound to hear from a pack of werewolves that had been so menacing just before. Nina’s wishes were obeyed however, as the wolves scattered and vanished into the surrounding trees, leaving them alone as he followed Nina into the darkness.
When he could no longer see, Chris felt the comforting grip of Nina’s paw close around his wrist. He felt his chest tighten at the contact. Her claws were pointed and sharp, and yet her grip was warm and gentle. Her fur was ticklish and soft on his skin.
He was led through the darkness, until he came up to a low streak of light coming down from the roof of the cave. It was simply a low, grey light casting down into the dark from the clouds above, made all the more piercing as his eyes adjusted to the enveloping blackness.
“Watch your step, Chris,” Nina said, before extending her leg and stepping onto a large, flat piece of rock beneath the light. Chris obeyed, pulling himself up onto the rock with the help of a small tug from Nina. The rock was perhaps ten feet across and eight feet wide, large enough for both of them to stand close and comfortably together.
Chris looked up into Nina’s eyes, taking note that her paw had still not left his wrist. She was holding him close, and her scent filled his nostrils. He had never been this close before, and he was completely alone with her. The predicament made him nervous.
Nina noted the human’s nervousness with a tilt of her head. “Don’t be nervous, Chris,” she said in a soothing tone. “You’re a guest in my home. You can’t come to any harm now, unless you invite it upon yourself with poor actions.”
“It’s not that, Nina, its…” Chris began, pausing when he looked up into her eyes. “I’ve never been this close to you, or any werewolf for that matter. I’ve admired your kind for as long as I can remember, to the point where I would always come back despite your several warnings. Now that I’m this close I’m not sure what to do.” He admitted, finding the courage to look up at her again.
Nina offered him an understanding gaze, her yellow eyes glowing gently under the low light of the cave. “There’s nothing to do but listen, Chris,” she replied. “You’ll stay here the night, but what I’m about to tell you will influence what is to come.”
“What do you mean?” Chris asked.
“I have a proposition for you, human, one that a werewolf hasn’t given to one of your kind in hundreds of years.”
Chris’ eyes widened at that. “Hundreds of years? What makes me special?”
Nina smirked, showing a bit of fang. “Your stubbornness, really,” she said. “But that’s not what I would say. I would say it’s your heart.” She paused for a moment, letting the words sink in. “You’ve known all along that your place is in these woods, I can see it in your eyes. When you saved my son, and when you decided to accept my invitation, your following a longing that only some humans gain. That, is what makes you stand out, Chris.”
“I… I suppose that would make sense,” Chris answered, after a short delay. “Even if they were growls of warning, I would always long to hear your kind once again. I love it so much…”
Nina nodded as her suspicions were confirmed. “I know you do Chris,” she said, taking a step closer to him. She reached down and took the human’s hands into her huge paws, being extremely careful with her long, black claws. “It’s heartening to know that there’s still humans out there like you.”
Chris felt his heart flutter as the werewolf stepped in close. His eyes wandered over her form, from the very tops of her ears, down to the curvature of her muscular hips. It was all too much for the man to take in, and he began to feel lightheaded.
“S-So… what were you going to say?”
“I was going to ask if you wanted to become a werewolf, Chris.”
Chris had to quickly adjust his grip on Nina’s paws, holding tight as he threatened to fall from the rock. “You… what?”
Nina grinned at his reaction, her tail swaying behind her. “As I said, I want to offer you the chance to become one of us,” she repeated. “You saved one of my own, and you told me that there was no other place you would rather be than here in the woods, yes?”
“Yes, I did,” Chris answered, his voice low and distant as thought flooded through his head.
“This is your chance to be here with us for as long as you wish, and with me,” Nina said, her yellow eyes staring at him in the dark of the cave with patient understanding. “I’m sure you would be a fine, handsome wolf once coupled with me, one that could live in harmony with the rest of us in the years to come.”
Chris nodded his head, swallowing in nervousness. He’d always imagined if such a thing could be possible. It was his dream come true, and yet given the circumstances he found himself hesitating.
“What about my parents, and my home?” Chris asked, looking up at her. “I don’t want to think that I disappeared in here. They’ll think that I ran away from home, or even worse: that your kind killed me. Those are things I don’t want them to think…”
Nina tilted her head, her ears flicking behind her head. “Oh… I hadn’t considered that,” she said. “Would you like a few days to consider? I know this is a big step.”
Chris paused for a long moment, his eyes wandering down to Nina’s chestfur, unable to meet her eyes for the moment. After a pause, he let out a soft sigh and looked back up at her.
“This is everything I’ve ever wanted,” Chris said, his tone growing solemn. “I know I want to say yes, but my family deserves more from me, than for me to just simply disappear without a word. Could I visit them as a wolf? Or will I have the ability to change back? I’ve from the legends that some wolves can.”
“Some wolves yes, but it’s a very rare ability,” Nina answered. “There are none in my pack that can willfully transform into a human shape, not even me, and I’ve been alive longer than any of them.”
Chris paused and thought about his answer for a long while. His hands brushed through Nina’s fur, the wolfess holding herself against him close. He could hear her deep, raspy breathing from that cavernous chest, the scent of coppery, canine musk filling his nose. This was where he felt as home, and he couldn’t spend another moment away from it.
“Yes, I want to become a werewolf,” Chris said. “I’ll find some way to let my parents know what’s happened, even if I have to visit them in person in my new form.”
Nina brushed a claw gently through Chris’ hair. “Although I would greatly advise against that, I know that you’ve never listened to my warnings before,” she said, smiling down at him in a wolfish grin.
“I suppose you’re right,” Chris answered with a small chuckle, looking up nervously at those large fangs. “W-Will… it hurt?”
“Will what hurt?”
“That transformation?” Chris said, continuing to eye those lethal jaws. “I know you have to bite me for me to become a wolf. How do you plan on doing it?”
Nina shook her head slowly. “Oh no, Chris, I wouldn’t dare bite you to transform you,” she said. “Although it is possible, humans transformed by a bite are wild, violent creatures. As they’re transformed by violence, so will their time as a werewolf be dominated by thoughts of blood and death. This is not what I offer you, Chris. A werewolf that is calm and full of noble blood, will have to be transformed through sex.”
“S-sex?” Chris coughed out, his voice full of disbelief. “You intend to have sex with me? T-to…. Oh? I didn’t, I had no idea.”
Nina smirked. “Of course you wouldn’t,” she said. “I know your kind has always avoided the subject. We don’t keep the fact secret, and yet humans belief that the only way to being a wolf is through savagery.”
“Oh, I didn’t mean to cause offence,” Chris quickly stated.
“None taken at all, Chris,” Nina said, slowly crouching down to his level with a flexing of her powerful legs. “As I said, you’re different than the other humans. Your kind, curious, and you belong in the woods with the rest of us.” She moved her jaws in close to the human’s face, her soft breath washing over his mouth. “Several traits that I would love to have in any wolf of my own.”
And with that, Nina closed her eyes and pressed her black, warm lips to Chris’ own, her canine tongue beginning to intimately lap as his chin and teeth.
Chris froze at the werewolf leaned in, bringing those fearsome jaws in close to his mouth. He closed his eyes and shivered. His hands remained locked down by sides, too nervous to do anything while she made her move.
Nina gave Chris one more lick across his chin, before tilting her head and giving him a loving look. “I don’t think I gave you a chance to answer,” she said, her tail flicking back and forth as she let out a quick chuckle. “Do you want this? Would you like to spend more time with me?”
Chris lifted his hand and placed it on Nina’s forearm. “Well, when you put it that way…”
This time, when Nina brought her muzzle in to kiss him, Chris lifted his head and pressed his lips to hers. He opened his mouth and allowed her warm breath to wash over his face and neck, his tongue moving out to meet with hers. Her tilted his head to the side to allow her better access, his other hand moving up to the side of her jaws to caress the side of her furry face.
It was awkward, kissing a werewolf. At first, he found his lips brushing up against her black lips, before moving onto the sharpness of her fangs. He did his best to lick and offer affection in return, his appendage moving briefly along her teeth and slipping in to massage her gums. He tasted the rawness of canine saliva trickling into the back of his throat, accompanied by the happy, soothing growls of delight from his larger partner.
After a long minute of making out, Nina lifted herself up to stand at her full height. Her paw gently caressed the top of Chris’ head, her claws running down his scalp with careful affection before the pads of her paw began to massage the back of his neck. “Don’t be scared or frightened to do anything Chris,” she cooed, offering him a small lick on the top of his head. “You’re with me now. I want you to be able to do anything you… oh!”
Nina couldn’t help but let out a small gasp of surprise as the human suddenly pressed into her body, hugging her around the curves of her waist. His full height only came up to the middle of her breast, the rest of her towering over him with ease. It appeared those were the only words her tiny lover needed to grasp the moment. She simply smirked, hugging him close with both paws, her hips swaying as he explored her feminine form.
Chris felt tears come to his eyes as he held the werewolf close. His arms wrapped all the way around her middle as he buried his face in her soft fur. He inhaled her scent, allowing the soft, canine musk to flood his senses. He could feel the shape of her body against his, along with the smooth musculature under layers of fur and warm skin. Her breath continued to wash over his back, the moist air caressing him with the same effect as the embrace of her paws. He moved with the sway of her hips, loving every second of it. He never wanted to be from her arms again.
“Lets get you out of these clothes, Chris,” Nina offered, extending a claw down his back to hook under his shirt. “I don’t think you’ll be needing these again.”
“I doubt it,” Chris breathed, lifting his arms for only a brief moment as Nina yanked the shirt off his shoulders, before pressing back into Nina with a sigh.
Nina growled with amusement, a light, bubbling sound in her throat. “You’re going to have to lose the pants as well, little human.”
“I know, I just… don’t want to rush this,” Chris offered, lifting his head to look at her yellow eyes. “The more I’m close to you, the more I realize how much I’ve wanted this all my life. I never want this to end.”
“It never will end, Chris,” Nina answered, the same claw that hooked off his shirt suddenly dipping down into the waistband of Chris’ pants and briefs, starting to pull them down. “You’ll be spending all of your time here with us, with me, as long as you want.”
Chris closed his eyes and shuddered. He held himself close to his she-wolf partner, moving his hips slowly from to side as she slid his pants down, burying his face into her fur. As they fell to the ground, leaving him naked, he cast them to the side with a quick kick of his leg. He didn’t think he would need them ever again.
“I’ll never leave you,” he answered, before leaning back and lifting his eyes to her, meeting her gaze for a brief moment before meeting her lips again.
He locked his lips with hers and never stopped kissing her. He lovingly returned her affections by dragging his tongue along her black lips and sucking gently on her canine tongue. His partner rumbled deeply with pleasure at his treatment. He felt her tongue move within the suction of his lips, tasting deep down into his throat.
As the two of them kissed, Nina placed her paw on the human’s back and eased Chris down onto the rock. The tiny male was light as a feather in the comfort of her grip, allowing her to easily crouch down along with him, placing him on the rock, their kiss never breaking.
Chris winced as he felt the cold touch of stone on his back. It was a brief shock, before he melted into the comforting arms of his lover. He lifted his arms and placed his arms on her muscular hips. He had to reach down quite far along the length of her body, while simultaneously lifting his head up to ensure he had a good angle for their kiss.
He continued to kiss his werewolf companion with loving intensity, inhaling her taste and breath. He felt arousal rising up with his loins, driven by a need that he’d only just felt for the first time, more powerful than anything he’d experienced in his life. He froze, taking in a sharp gasp, when he suddenly felt the tip of his erect cock brushing up against the fur of Nina’s belly.
Nina carefully broke the kiss and looked down at the human with a canine version of a smirk. She licked her black lips to take in his taste, before moving her hips from side to side in a tease.
“Looks like somebody is ready,” she rumbled, leaning in with her eyes closed to begin licking and slurping at Chris’ ear, her warm breath caressing his neck. She moved herself down on him with a little whine, pressing her middle against his loins, letting Chris feel the soft, strong warmth of her body.
Chris moaned and wriggled involuntarily under his massive lover. The licks on his ear made him smile and giggle, that sensitive part of his body becoming quite ticklish at the treatment. His breath came in quick inhales now, knowing that the moment was upon them both.
After a few moments of licking, Nina lifted herself up into a sitting position. Her hips hovered over Chris’ thighs, her huge body towering over him. She placed most of her weight on her legs, not sitting on him just yet. “Are you ready Chris?” She purred, tilting her head down at him, the light of her yellow eyes shining in he darkness of the cave. Without waiting for an answer from him, she leaned forward and placed her paws on the ground to each side of him, crawling forwards, lining the heat between her legs up with the length of his cock.
Chris felt light-headed as he watched her get into position. His loins were tingling with anticipation, his maleness stiff and throbbing with need as it rubbed against the soft fur between her legs. He rubbed his arms up and down her sides with as much affection as he could muster, hoping that he could last long enough for the benefit of them both.
“I’ll take that as a yes,” Nina said, answering for him. Reaching down between her legs with her massive paw, she simultaneously took Chris’ cock gently into her grip, pointing it upwards towards the black lips of her canine sex. She lifted up her tail, preparing herself with a deep breath, before sitting down. She felt the tip of his shaft prod her entrance for only a moment, before her sex opened and accepted the human’s meat inside. She huffed with delight at the sensation. Although she was much bigger and could easily take the human in with little effort, she prolonged the insertion, taking her time and moving her hips back and forth in a tease as she slid down.
Chris never took his eyes off Nina’s sex as she sat down on him. He watched with a wide, pleased expression as her canine pussy engulfed him, treating him to entirely new sensations that made him swim with lust and delight. He let out a whine of his own as Nina paused in her descent, wanting nothing more than for her to sit down and take him all the way in. He didn’t have to wait much longer for his wishes to come true: as his werewolf partner let out a happy growl, and pushed her hips down all the way, his shaft plunging inside her.
He raised his head and gasped in that moment, his mouth hanging open as he exhaled in bliss. Nina felt so wonderful: every inch of his sensitive cock wrapped in the heated embrace of flesh, moisture and heat. His length bent upwards inside her, just slightly, going along with the shape of her sex. It felt bestial in shape, and hotter than any human woman could’ve been. He looked up after a moment when her claws settled around his head, his gaze meeting with the bright, glowing yellow of her eyes.
She licked his lips once, pressed her body into him, and then began to rock her hips up and down.
Chris did his best to match the female’s thrusts. He was rather inexperienced with the ordeal, and yet, he kept his hands on her hips, pushing up inside whenever he felt her waist push into him. Nina let out an accompanying moan whenever he did that, sending a rumbling vibration through him and the rock underneath his back. Occasionally he would feel her sex clench around him, squeezing his sensitive cock, milking him for all that he was worth. In those moments he would bite his lip and groan, doing his best to not spill his seed immediately after they started.
“As the leader of the Ashtree pack, I welcome you into our family, Chris,” Nina began, breathing heavily as she spoke, her tongue hanging from her mouth. She continued to hump him in smooth, strong motions, her canine body flowing and moving overtop of her human partner with a predatory grace. Her tail remained lifted high as she took him, leading him towards the edge.
“You’ll soon be a werewolf, along with us,” She breathed, leaning in to lick along his earlobe and neck. “I accept you as apart of the pack. Let my taking of your seed inside me act as a symbol of this acceptance, and mark the start of your new life as a wolf of the forest.”
Chris listened to every word with rapt attention, his eyes meeting with Nina’s as her thrusts began to pick up in pace. His cock entered her with thick, wet squelching noises, her sex growing wet and warm with arousal. He breathed hard, loving every second of her velvet walls caressing and clamping down on his shaft. He squirmed under her, leaking a small dribble of precum within her tunnel, which Nina accepted with a growl.
“Go on Chris,” Nina purred, lifting herself up into a sitting position and bouncing up and down on his hips, her paws moving to his chest for support. “Cum inside me, I’m there with you.” She gave him a cheerful, canine grin, her hips moving back and forth, coaxing him to the edge.
Chris was having difficulty lasting any moment longer, and at those words from his partner, he finally found himself pushed over the brink. He felt a deep, welling pleasure building in his loins, his semen gathering at the base of his cock. The pleasure rose, climbing into a peak that suddenly exploded in a haze of lust as she rolled her hips over him. He gasped, thrusting upwards, before shuddering under the werewolf as he began to squirt a healthy load of cum straight up into her sex.
Nina closed her eyes and lifted her head as she felt the human cum, warmth climbing inside her and coating her inner walls. She moaned and bared her fangs at the sensation, before letting out a sharp bark, her massive thighs quivering as a wave of orgasmic bliss washed over her, her pussy juices spilling over and coating Chris’ groin.
As he came, Chris began to feel an odd sensation traveling up the length of his body. It began as a tingling in his feet, before growing upwards, moving long his body in a warming grip that seemed to only grow stronger as it progressed up his body.
When it reached his cock, he let out a confused gasp, feeling the shape of his member grow and change, even as he spent his semen within. His legs began to sprout dark, black fur, while his cock began to increase in size exponentially. A thick knot formed at the base, locking inside Nina and trapping all the fluids inside her, even as more of his cum began to squirt deep into her canine womb.
He was vaguely aware of Nina dropping overtop of him and hugging him close as the rest of the change began to take place. As the tingling moved up to his torso, he felt the structure of his body begin to change. There was no pain, only a rush of exhilaration and power as his muscles doubled in size, his thin, lanky body morphing into a strong wolf. His body began to lifted Nina upwards on the rock, his chest growing deep and barreled. He scrunched his nose awkwardly as his mouth grew outwards, forming a lengthy set of lethal jaws, his teeth growing into points.
Chris’ moan of ecstasy soon turned into deep, guttural growls of pleasure. Black fur covered his entire body, a perfect coupling to Nina’s bright white. He soon found that he could wrap his arms easily around Nina’s middle, his long claws digging gently into her back. He held her close as he finished, his hips pushing and grinding up against her, while his tail wagged back and forth along the bare rock.
Nina looked down at her werewolf, that same, canine grin coming across her muzzle. She dragged her claws along Chris’ tuffed ears, and along the slope of his neck. When the male werewolf opened his eyes, she found herself staring down into the deep, brown pools of the newest member of their pack.
“Welcome to the pack, Chris,” she said
Chris blinked a few times before the weight of those words hit him. His ears shot straight up into the air, while his newly-formed muzzle hung open in shock.
“I… I’m a werewolf,” he stated, uttering the words as if to confirm it for himself. He raised his paws and looked at them over Nina’s head, regarding his fingers and his long, sharp claws. Although the transformation had been odd, he could feel a newfound power coursing through his limbs. He’d never felt so strong in his life. The overwhelming weight of Nina overtop of him had morphed into a partner that was exactly the right size, matching him in every aspect.
He was brought out of his trance however, when his partner suddenly pushed her hips down and ground her warm, moist sex into his knot. He whimpered with delight, a small wave of bliss shuddering through his loins.
“Indeed you are, just as we agreed,” Nina responded, licking along the side of Chris’ cheek. You’re one of mine now, and quite the attractive, lovely beast at that. Your human seed inside me is all that remains of your former self.”
Chris felt his face flush at that comment. He held Nina close, exploring her body with delicate strokes of his claws along her back. It was a wonderful feeling, to be so close to her in the afterglow of their sex. The darkness of the cave stretched out along to each side, while the moonlight streaked down to kiss the white fur of Nina’s back. He could stay like this forever, huddling close with his mate in the comforting warmth of their new home.
“Do you think it’s time to go out and introduce yourself to your new family?” Nina posed, smiling down at him with an adoring smile.
“Just a few more minutes? Or more?” Chris rumbled, doing his best to return her smile. His fangs clicked together as he talked, his mouth finding it strange to form such words with the new shape of his jaws. He would get used to it in time, he supposed.
“A few minutes or more, my mate,” Nina cooed, placing her chin on his shoulder and closing her eyes with a sigh. “I think you’ll need a little while for this knot to shrink down regardless. There’s no rushing this at all.”
Chris gave his mate a slow lick along the back of her neck to return the affection, before simply hugging her across her middle. He rumbled low in his throat, testing the guttural vibrations of his new vocal chords. It was a little harsher than he intended, but he figured from the low moan that Nina gave him in return, that the sound was a welcome one.
He lifted his hips and pushed upwards into her, playfully grinding his swollen knot into her sex once again. His mate whined at the continued stimulation. Both of them were extra sensitive, and as the swelled base of his shaft began to slowly diminish in size, so did the hot male and female fluids begin to leak outwards and drool down the inside of his thighs.
True to Nina’s recommendation, they remained together on the rock for over a quarter of an hour. They held one another close for that long period of time, pausing in their cuddles to occasionally lick over each other’s muzzle, their canine tongues gliding through their soft fur. Chris loved every second of it: as each new sensation was heightened by the superior senses of his new body. His nose picked up more, his claws were able to explore more of Nina’s body, and his tongue was rich with the flavours of her bestial fur. The air around them was thick with the heavy smell of canine sex, and the coppery aroma of Nina’s form.
Once Chris’ knot has shrunken down to a more manageable level, Nina lifted herself into a seated position, sitting down on the male’s lap. Her muscular legs flexed as she stood up, the heavy, canine cock slipping out of her. She let out a pleased growl at the sensation, her head looking down to regard the sloppy mess drooling from her gaping sex. She smiled at that, before leaning in to give Chris one last lick on the muzzle, and then stepping off to the side of the rock.
Chris looked down at the length of his body with astonishment. This was the first he’d seen of the rest of himself after the transformation. He felt his heart beating harder in his chest as her studied the hard, muscular wall of his abdomen under his fur, and the soft, veiny length of his feral penis. Although his gaze fixed on his crotch for a long while, he couldn’t help but giggle as he finally noticed his tail, the busy appendage swishing along the surface of the rock in his amusement.
“Are you done watching your tail, my handsome wolf?” Nina chided, smirking down at Chris.
Chris propped himself up on his elbows and looked at her. “I am yes,” he responded, lifting himself up off the rock. He landed awkwardly on the back of his ankles, slumping against the rock. He growled, catching himself and pushing up into a standing position. He wavered for a moment, before crouching down and holding himself in a steady position. “I think this is going to take a bit of getting used to. The ground is so far away.”
Nina showed Chris her fangs. “Yes, I would say you’re about twice as tall as you once were, my mate,” she said, offering her paw. “It would probably best if you take my paw when we walk out there together. It wouldn’t do for the pack to see you stumbling around on your new legs. It will take some time for you to get used to it.”
“I think you might be right,” Chris agreed, taking Nina’s paw in his and carefully walking out to the entrance of the cave with her. “I wouldn’t want them to think I’m inept.”
“They would understand, Chris, they are not as judgemental as a human,” Nina offered, pausing to place a paw on the side of Chris’ muzzle. “They will welcome you regardless of any difficulties you may face, and they will help you get better.” She licked him on the lips, before ushering him towards the entrance once more. “And besides, you’ve turned out to be quite the large, handsome wolf. You’ll be able to show your own aggression in turn, should you find the need.”
Chris smiled at that though, his fangs turning his face into a much more menacing expression than he perhaps wanted. “I’ll try to avoid it for now,” he said. “As you stated, I don’t want to make a bad impression either way.
“That you don’t,” Nina answered, grinning at him, before they each walked out into the forest clearing to a gathering of wolves. Her face took on a serious expression then, as her fellow wolves gathered around in a circle to study the new look of Chris’ body.
Looking around nervously, Chris stood as close to Nina as their bodies would allow, subtly looking to her for comfort. His fears diminished however, when he regarded a number of the other wolves staring his way and nodding in approval, growling in affirmation at his strong presence.
“Werewolves of Ashtree Hollow,” Nina bellowed, her deep, feminine voice echoing out into the darkness of the woods. “Chris, has accepted our offer, and proven that he has the heart of the wolf. His claws are long, and his teeth shine like the embers of the moon. Do we accept him as one of our own?”
The gathered wolves answered with a cacophony of quick, excited barks. Chris felt shivers rolling down his spine in this moment. He was going to be one of them, officially.
“Will we teach him the ways of the woods, of wolves, and how to hunt with the pack as a trusted brother?” Nina continued, her face growing savage and her eyes glowing bright as the wolves once again, answered her call with agreement.
“Let the forest know, that we welcome Chris as he newest member of our pack!” Nina finished, before raising her head to the sky and letting out a long, haunting howl. Every, single wolf in the clearing joined in with her, raising their muzzles into the air and calling out, filling the woods with the musical cry of their ritual acceptance.
Chris felt an instinctual itch in his body, warming the tips of his ear and causing his tail to twitch excitedly. He didn’t wait long, before tilting his head and adding his song to the rest, the action as natural to him as if he’d been doing it his entire life.
The End.
