Whelp. That went from zero to crazy real quick.

Jessica Steele picked up the stack of mail that accumulated over the past day in her and Sebun's shared mailbox. She tried to find a spot to drop it in the cluttered kitchen. After a few minutes of maneuvering, she found a relatively clear space. Sebun had left for the day, presumably to purchase some dye. Then the hare noticed the note next to the newly inserted stack of mail. It read: This testimony fell in to my hands through Cyrus Reer. Hopefully, it will help in the fight against Unchainable and his gang. -Sebun

Jessica picked up the note and attached paper as she wondered how Sebun had contacted Cyrus Reer. Then she began to read.

The following is a transcript of an audio file. For the privacy of the witness, certain names and places are redacted.

One day I killed a man. It felt so good. Soon it was two, then three and after a while, dozens. I never got caught, but my conscience knows. I am seeking redemption. My name is Angel [Redacted], known to you, the police, as Angel O'Death. I am a serial killer, but I have put that behind me. I am looking ahead. This is my life story.

I was born to a wolf father in the Tolkien district. His name was Joseph [Redacted]. My mother was Sarah [Redacted], a wolf/husky hybrid. Back in [Redacted], where I'm from, everyone was involved with Unchainable. It was only natural for me to join up too, right? So I did. He gave out something I've never heard of. He called it Cold... Aid? Cool Add? I'm not sure, but we had to drink it to join up. It tasted like Dionysian grapes.

It was Unchainable's lieutenant, a squirrel named Gossiper, that showed me my natural talent to kill. He handed me a knife, and said- I'll never forget this- "Hit me with your best shot, dearie." So I did. I attacked the squirrel, and for what he turned me in to, I would have gladly gone in for the kill. Maybe the result would have been the same, but I know Unchainable would have had me put to death. He would be short a lieutenant, and the world would be a fuller place, without me. I attacked him. The fight lasted for a full minute before I had him pinned to the ground. Later, I heard that only Unchainable himself had ever done better. At the time, I knew it would ensure me rapid advancement. Now I wish I never got the chance.

After the gathering, I was released on to the streets, and I decided to help my "skills" progress. I attacked an innocent mouse and killed him. It was the biggest rush of my life, but looking back on it, all I felt was guilt. Not enough to stop killing, though. I was sixteen when I started, and I ended on my nineteenth birthday. For some, their teenage addiction was drugs. For some it was sex. For me, it was murder. I was proud of my ability to kill. I loved the thrill of writing codes to direct the police to the scene of the crime. I never left a trace. I was the perfect serial killer and that bothered me on a subconscious level . Until i developed remorse.

I quit the gang, and I knew that death was better than what Unchainable had in store for me. Nobody quits. NOBODY. I seek death or protection. Please, just kill me. Just KILL. ME. NOW. Unchainable is coming after me. He's gonna torture me for leaving. Please! Prison is better than being left for him to pick up. Death is the only way to be free of my guilt. Please kil- [A gunshot, then the murmured words: "Thank... You..." Followed by: "It was for the best. Good thing we recorded this."]
