The rise of the Silinde: Part 1 - New friends

First story guys (and occasional ladies) rate, comment and give advice plz.

I know it's really short but I haven't made a story in 5 years so it's taking abit to get the creative juices flowing

500 years before the birth of Spyro and cynder

Mushroom Forest 5 miles from the dragon temple

A blue portal opens startling the various wildlife and ripping the mushrooms that

came in contact with it to shreds. After a few moments the portal shimmers and

Suddenly vanishes, leaving 5 humans standing in the correlation of a pentagram.

At the top is a figure, 6' 7", in black, black shirt, pants, boots, and cloak with the hood up casting a shadow completely across his face. Strapped to his back is a wooden katana 6 feet in length.

On the top left is a man that stands 6' 4" foot tall, with brown hair and mustache with piercing yellow eyes. He is clothed in a tunic, and pants that are a mixture of green, grey, yellow, and brown, his boots and vambraces are brown as well. He wears a cloak of the same colors as his shirt and pants. When he moves the colors blend and he appears to fade in with his surroundings. On his back is a yew longbow with a quiver filled with arrows.

On the top right is a man standing at 6' 5" wearing a simple brown shirt, pants, boots, and cloak. He has jet black hair and something in the way of a beard and blue eyes with specks of red. On his back are two broad swords 5 feet in length and 6 inches across and wavy teeth on one side. Strapped to his left side is a 6 foot long sword.

On the bottom left is a 6' 6" tall man in a shirt, pants, boots and cloak colored green. He has green hair with green and yellow eyes with a start of a handle-bar mustache. In his hand he holds a strait staff that is as tall as he is made of oak.

On the bottom right is a 6' 5" tall man in a plain tan shirt, pants, boots, and cloak. With red and brown hair with a full beard with tan eyes. On his back is a very plain looking 5 foot long battle ax.

After the portal closed they climbed out of the crater the portal caused and took a quick survey of their surroundings.

"Well this is new." the swordsman said with obvious curiosity after studying the mushroom tree. "How often do you see mushrooms this big?"

"Not very often Cirdan but what I find truly interesting is how they manage to have bark." the bowman replied with curious look on his face.

"However this happens Elrohir the fact remains the same that there still mushrooms." replied Cirdan.

"it matters little you two we need to get moving" the axe man said.

"Oh come on Finrod you can't tell me you not interested at least a little."

"true but still we need to get moving we can study them AFTER we find a place to stay for the night, speaking of which" Finrod said walking up the black figure staring at sky. "Sir we better get moving"

"Indeed" was all he said.

"Sir?"

the figured jumped a little and turned around "sorry Finrod, yes we should get moving. Is everybody still in one piece we had more turbulence than usual?"

"I'm good"

"Same here"

"as far as I know"

"Yes were all fine sir"

"very well lets' go."

"If you don't mind me asking sir where are we?" after a long pause he replied

"if I'm not mistaken we should be in the dragon realms"

"the dragon realms are you sure? Why would he come here sir?"

"I'll be sure to ask him when I have my hands on him"

"very well where to?" another long pause

"I feel a few lifesourses to the northwest of here we should go and see if there friendly or not let's move."

"Yes sir." they all replied.

After about half an hour of walking silently the figure stopped suddenly. "Sir what's wrong?" Finrod asked.

"I think were about to make our first contact." he said.

"What should we do sir?" Cirdan asked.

"There's a clearing up ahead we should go there so we have more space to fight just in case." the figure said after a while. After a few minutes they found the clearing and as soon as they were on the inside of it they heard a loud roar and they stopped dead.

"y-you weren't kidding w-where you sir?" Cirdan said turning pale. The other captains looked at him with raised eyebrows until the figure turned his head to him.

"Oh that's right I forget you only became a master a few weeks ago so you haven't fought too many tough opponents have you?"

"Y-yea."

"Well if it'll make you feel better I do have some good news."

"w-what?"

"Just so you know there's more than one."

"WHAT!!!" Cirdan said looking almost like a ghost. the others snickered and the figures shoulders kind of shook as if he was trying to stifle a laugh.

"It's true look" Elrohir said pointing at the sky and everyone looked and sure enough there were four dots up in the sky heading their way.

"Assuming they are dragons what elements are they?" Elerosse asked.

"Can't say there too far away." Finrod said.

"1 fire, 1 electric, 1 ice, 1 earth...more than likely there guardians." the figure said.

"Not to be rude but how the hell can you be so calm?" Cirdan said quite shaken by the whole affair.

"Because normally Guardians only attack when provoked." the figure replied. Still looking at the dragons only a few seconds away. "Move to the edge of the clearing to give them some landing space." they moved to the edge of the clearing and the dragons landed shortly afterward eying them with curiously.

"What should we do?" Finrod whispered to the figure.

"Let me talk to them." he said and walked up to the four dragons.

"Greetings dragons my name is Elegost." he said speaking draconic which obviously surprised them. The red dragon was the first to reply

"greetings stranger my name is Ignitus and these are my friends Volteer, Cyril, and Terrador." Ignitus said pointing to the yellow, blue, and green, dragons as he said there names.

"Pleasure to meet you" Elegost said. Each dragon nodded to him then ignitus turned to the captains behind Elegost.

"And who are these?"

"These are my friends Elrohir, Elerosse, Finrod, and the one cowering behind them is Cirdan." each bowed as their name was said except for Cirdan who only shook even more. "Pleased to meet you all, your kind isn't known here what are you exactly?" Ignitus said returning his gaze to Elegost

"were humans...mostly." Elegost replied

"humans?" Volteer looked with curiosity at them.

"Yes Humans."

"What are humans?"

"What you see before you."

"Hhhmmmm." Volteer replied but before he could ask more questions ignitus intervened.

"Elegost where do you come from?"

"A planet called Celebrimbor." Cyril asked the next question again stopping Volteer question

"and what are you intentions here Elegost?"

"Where here looking for someone."

"Who?" Elegost seemed to struggle with this one obviously not liking what he was about to say.

"My.....Brother he destroyed half our race before we stopped him but before I could kill him he opened up a portal a fled." Elegost said."Oh and Volteer if you want ask Finrod about humans he can tell you more than I can." Volteer thanked Elegost and walked over to Finrod who proceeded to tall Volteer about the human race. "Ignitus I'd like to ask a favor."

"What is it Elegost?"

Me and my friends have no placed to stay for the night until we have a suitable home I'd like to ask if we can stay with you."

"Yes yes of course please follow us this way."

After an half an hour of walking they came to a temple of sorts as they went through the side entrance. They meet in a chamber with a pool of green water in the middle.

"What's this?" Cirdan said his fear mostly gone.

"This is the pool of dreams." (I think I haven't played the game in a while) Ignitus said as they entered the room.

"And I'm going to take a random guess and say that it's used for seeing across the realms."

"Close enough yes." Ignitus said

"Ignitus." Elegost said

"yes?"

"have you seen a similar flash recently my brother fled not two months ago?"

after a brief pause Ignitus shook his head "I'm sorry Elegost but you're the only sighting of you kind we've seen at all."

"That's fine it just means that we ether went to the wrong world or he appeared someplace else."

after another hour of talking it was early evening.

"Ignitus we are truly are in you debt and thank you for taking us in for the night." Elegost said.

"Feel free to stay as long as you like Elegost your always welcome here as a friend." Ignitus replied.

"Truly it's been awhile since we had anyone we could converse with." Volteer added in.

"yes indeed please feel free to stay." Cyril said.

"As much as we like to we dont wish to impose and we truly need a place to call our own." Elegost replied.

"If you must but always feel free to come and visit." Terrador said.

"Thank you we will come and visit when we have the chance." Elegost said, a few hours later all the captains went to bed and only Elegost remained, sitting on the balcony staring out across the mushroom forest of the dragon realms.

"Something evil is brewing out there.......Brother......where are you?"
