#3 of Silent Hill

"That would be a wise idea.." From out of one of the shadows in the church stepped a short, yet slender black dragoness clothed in a silken purple gown with golden crosses stitched up and down the sides, and a large wooden cross hung around the dragonesses neck. "For as the white fox just said, evil can't enter this place. As we walk through the valley of the shadow of death, we shall fear no evil. For the Lord is with us." She walked down the dimly lit church slowly, past Draco and Foxx, before stopping in her tracks and turning to face them.

Draco rolled his eyes some and leaned up against one of the pews, his fingers tapping nervously on the side. "Well, that's all cool if you wanna believe in that stuff.. But I really just want to find my son and get out of here. There's some fucked up shit going on out there, and he's probably shitting his pants as we speak, but my umm...friend here only has a few bullets left in his gun, and I'm not headed back out there with at least some form of protection."

"Well you have come to the right place. Our faith is strong but we are not blinded by our own faith. We have an armory in the back of the church with a huge supply of arms and ammunition. You may help yourself to it later, but not before we are at least properly introduced. I am called Mother Cherryl, but you may just call me Cherryl if you wish. Mankind if already too full of pointless titles, but when we die we are all judged by God in the same way." She gave the two a friendly smile and held out her paw.

Foxx nodded and took the paw in his, smiling back at her. "Well I'm Officer Foxx, or just Foxx, whichever. We really appreciate you lending us your weapons. I was beginning to worry.." He pulled out his small pistol and reloaded it with ammunition, before re holstering the weapon. "And..forgive me if I don't exactly share your faith either."

"Yea, same here. I don't have anything against Christians but I'm not the religious type myself either. And thanks for the weapons, as well. My name is Draco." He smiled at her in return and looked around the church. It didn't look quite as gloomy and trashed as the outside but it wasn't very well lit either. He just shrugged, not wanting to say anything about it and looked back at Cherryl. "Well, thanks again for offering your help. I'll be sure to remember where this place is next time the sirens go off."

Cherryl nodded, then gave the both of them a rather serious yet sad look. "You are free to roam the city as you please when it's like this. But the siren will only sound 30 times before the city goes dark and we are forced to close the doors to the church. So do not stray far from the church, for there will be nothing any of us can do if you get stuck outside. Now come along with me." She turned around and began to head towards the back of the church, pulling a key out from her robe and unlocking one of the doors. "Help yourself to the armory, though right now it's about time for the darkness to return to the town. I would strongly advise you to stay here until the darkness passes. Besides, we have no extra flashlights to spare."

Foxx and Draco both followed her and walked through the door, down the long church hallway. "I don't care. My son is stuck somewhere out there. I'm not gonna sit here while he is in danger." He looked over at Foxx and sighed. "If you would rather stay here for now, I'll understand, though I could really use your help out there." Foxx quickly shook his head, as they neared the end of the hallway. "No, I'm with you 100% on this. Besides, protecting kids is one of the reasons I joined the force."

As the three came to the end of the hallway, Cherryl opened the door and led them into the armory. The armory was full of different hand guns, pistols, rifles, shotguns, as well as a few knifes. Foxx walked inside and examined a few of the fire arms, picking one up and looking it over closely. "This thing has to be about 40 years old. Why don't you guys have any newer weapons? Not that these won't be enough. I know these things are still quite lethal.."

Cherryl only smiled some as she stood at the doorway. "Silly, the lord almighty came back and purified the whole world when we destroyed Lucifer. Where have you been this whole time?" She walked into the room and stood in the middle, her smile staying stuck on her face as her eyes slowly darted between Draco and Foxx.

"Oh great...another religious nut.." Draco thought to himself as he browsed through the weapons. He grabbed a shotgun and a pistol, grabbing as much ammunition for both guns as he could carry, as well as a knife incase he ran out of ammunition. "I live about 25 miles out from the city. My son kept having these vivid dreams, I was hoping we could find some answers here. But I wrecked on my way into the city, and when I came to he was gone."

Foxx discarded his pistol and grabbed 2 more, as well as a shotgun and knife, and as much ammunition he could carry. "And I was gonna arrest him. When I saw him, he was trying to wake his son up but I thought it was child abuse. When he wrecked I ran into the back of his truck with my motorcycle, and woke up in this fucked up place..." He then leaned back up against the wall and holstered al his weapons, as Cherryl stood up and walked towards the door again. "Well I am sorry for your misfortunes. And Gods blessings on your quest to find your son, I pray the darkness has not already taken his life.' She said with a hint of a solemn tone, walking through the doorway and back into the sanctuary.

Draco winced hard at the thought as he followed her back into the sanctuary. "Well, we need to go now... Come on" Foxx and Draco both walked towards the door of the church. "Maybe we can go ahead and get a head start if we get out there before the sirens go off." He slowly made his way out of the doorway and down the front steps of the church, pulling his gun out of the holster.

"Knowing my son, when he is scared he will hide in the nearest spot he can find, and my truck is just over there. So we need to look around here first." He walked out into the middle of the street and glanced over towards the elementary school building. As he glanced, he saw his son, or at least what he thought to be his son, in one of the windows up on the 5th floor "Dude! I just saw him!" He took off as fast as he could towards the school, panting heavily as he busted through the front door. "Sampson! It's me! Don't worry I'm here!"

Draco ran through the school building and up the flight of stairs, quickly finding the fourth floor and running through the hallways as fast as he could. "Sampson! Where are you?" He took a left turn and grunted as he saw him disappear around the next corner. "Wait up! Where are you going?" He ran around the corner, as ‘Sampson' disappeared into one of the classrooms. Draco ran inside the classroom and panted hard, looking around the classroom and bending down to place his paws on his knees. "...I... I...could have sworn... I saw him.... Where....where did he go...?"

Foxx came in a few seconds later, panting hard as well. "...Who...? I didn't see anyone..." He walked into the classroom and looked around the desks, placing his paws on each one and wiping off the dust. "Must just be this damn town getting to me.." He began to look over all the desks, and blinked as one particular desk caught his attention. "Huh.. Look at this one..." He said, tracing his hand along the wooden top. The top was laden with the word "DEMON" as well as a satanic star and a "666" underneath. He opened the top and pulled out a crumpled up photograph of a young boy, who looked exactly like his own son. "...Holy shit.."

"Dude look..." Draco slowly picked the picture up, holding it a few inches from the tip of his snout. "That looks just like my son..." He walked over to Foxx and handed it to him, looking around the room once more. "I wonder where he went, though.." He...

"What?" Draco said as he peered out across the gap in the road. "This...is just like what I read about on the net a while back...but I thought it was all fake..." He then turned around and began to slowly walk back towards the town with his paws still...
