Just a little bit of myth that came to mind. Let's call it lore. Not related to anything right now, really, but in the future who knows? I just hope you like it

Inspired by the drawings of :FAlingguang:, specifically these two:http://www.furaffinity.net/view/17854248/http://www.furaffinity.net/view/17376494/

There was once a divine creature known as the God of Sea.

The God of Sea was a male dragon, but because he could only love other males he was given female loins and was left stranded on a tall islet in the middle of the dry world.

But that wouldn't deter him.

Every day, the God of Sea would love himself, and from his female loins life would flow down his islet and into the world, forming the sweet seas from which all life came, hoping his love would reach the world.

One day a Sage of Wind happened to appear near the islet.

The Sage of Wind had felt the love from the God of Sea, and in turn had fallen in love with him.

For years he had searched for him until finding him here, so close yet so far.

The God of Sea looked at him with melancholy, knowing they would never reach other.

But the Sage of Wind was powerful, and with a mighty leap the green wind of the west took him across the chasm separating him from the object of his feelings.

The Sage of Wind reached the islet, and driven by his emotions reached for the loins of the God of Sea and drank from them.

The God of Sea was surprised by all the new sensations travelling through his body, and knowing that it was the Sage of Wind that brought him such divine pleasure he fell in love with him as well.

With his feelings reciprocated, the Sage of Wind took the God of Sea then and there, and overwhelmed by the euphoria of finally being with their destined one, the two of them became a single being for the first and last time.

The Gods could not condone the love between two men for it went against all that was natural, so as it is, the moment the God of Sea lost his purity his sin could no longer be overlooked.

In front of the Sage of Wind's eyes the God of Sea turned into crystal, and with a single last breath of life, he perished in his loving embrace.

Grief weighed on the Sage of Wind, unable to understand the cruelty of the world, but a light of hope shone its way through the darkness.

The belly of the God of Sea cracked and crumbled inwards, and shining inside was a single egg.

The Sage of Wind knew that egg was no longer a living thing, but still reached inside the God of Sea's womb and took it out.

Then the Sage of Wind stood, and with a single sad look let the egg drop down from the islet, into the sea of life that had flowed from the God of Sea's loins, knowing that he could no longer reach his child.

Finally, the Sage of Wind knelt down in front of the God of Sea and kissed him one last time.

And for the first time since the dawn of the world, it started raining.

And Io, the Storm Dragon was born.

To this day, the Storm Dragon still flies through the world, mourning for the father that died to give him life, and the father that saw himself forced to let him go, with every tear, every cry and every angry fit a rain and a storm, which is why the sea of life became salty.

And the Sage of Wind, forced into eternity by the flow of life he drank from the God of Sea, still wanders the lands, forever in grief for his lost lover and the child he will never meet.

But every night, in his dreams, the God of Sea appears to the Sage of Wind, for the two of them to spend just one more night together.

Hellboy: Slave of Tears

Black hooves hurried through the ground, their steps loud against the gravel until they skidded to a halt behind a rock. A massive, muscular chest heaved agitatedly, the bare red skin visible through an open brown trenchcoat. A strong looking arm held...
