#3 of I've Had Enough

Halen stretched out with a yawn as he woke up. He looked around slowly as he sat up. He was alone in the small living room. He groaned and stood up, stretching again. Sleeping on the floor wasn't nearly as comfortable as it was back in his bedroom. He walked into the kitchen to find Shane cooking some eggs on his stove. ''Good morning...'' Halen said groggily.

Shane looked over his shoulder at Halen, his ringed tail swaying back and forth methodically. ''Morning wolf...''

Halen smirked a bit and sat down at the table. ''Is Cheyenne still asleep?''

Shane nodded and turned back around with two plates of eggs and some bacon. ''Just as well, wanted to talk to you.'' He set one of the plates in front of Halen and took a seat.

''Thanks. What about?'' Halen asked, taking a bite of the bacon.

''Well, about where you are planning on heading to.'' Shane replied, taking a few bites of food.

''Well... you said that Heradon is pretty safe... and that they have no enemies... so I thought we'd head there.'' Halen continued to eat, finishing off his bacon.

''Thought you'd say that... I don't think that you should go there though... you'd be better off in Canterbury.'' Shane stated, leaning back after he finished his food, watching Halen.

''Why's that?'' Halen took a big bite of eggs.

''They don't persecute gays...'' Shane said casually, a light grin on his muzzle.

Halen gagged on the eggs, almost vomiting as he worked to swallow his food. ''Wh...what?'' He gasped.

Shane laughed and rested his arms on the table. ''I know that you're gay... you were staring at

Cheyenne for at least five minutes while we were talking. It's blatantly obvious.''

Halen opened his mouth to protest. ''I-''

''Denying it won't do you any good.'' Shane giggled.

Halen shut his muzzle and sighed. ''Yeah... I am...'' Halen was blushing rather furiously now and it was showing through his black fur.

''It's alright, I don't care if you are.'' Shane giggled, standing up, taking his plate and setting it on the counter.

''Are you gay also?'' Halen asked curiously.

Shane shook his head. ''Nah... I'm straight. I've had three girlfriends. Though they are part of the Jhariv, so now they want to kill me.''

Halen giggled. ''Sounds like a normal relationship then.''

Shane laughed and crossed his arms. ''Yeah actually...''

Halen sighed. ''So we're supposed to go to Canterbury?''

Shane nodded. ''It'd be better. They don't prosecute gay furs. In fact, any gay remarks that are supposed to be insulting and derogatory, are illegal and can get you put in prison.''

Halen scoffed. ''You're kidding right?''

Shane shook his head. ''It mostly has to do with the fact that their King is gay...''

Halen's ears perked up. ''The King is gay?''

Shane nodded. ''King Richard Lionheart and his mate Prince Ignius, he's a fox. I think they're both in their mid-twenties... but I'm not sure.''

Halen nodded. ''Wow... do you think Cheyenne is gay?''

Shane shrugged. ''I'm not sure. He acts like it somewhat... but I can't tell whether he is.''

Halen sighed. ''I hope he is.'' He rested his muzzle on his paw.

There was a yip from the other room and then a thud, followed by a voice. ''I'm alright!''

Halen got up and walked into bedroom to find Cheyenne on the floor, with the blankets wrapped around his waist. Shane walked in behind Halen. ''What happened?''

Cheyenne was blushing hard and his white cheek fur appeared to be pink. ''I fell off the bed...'' He replied shakily.

Halen giggled and held out a paw. ''Come on... we're going to get going.''

Cheyenne took Halen's paw and stood up, removing the blankets from around his waist. ''Where are we going?''

Halen smiled. ''Canterbury.''

Cheyenne tilted his head to one side. ''Why not Heradon?''

Shane grinned. ''Because Canterbury-''

''Is closer!'' Halen finished, casting a spiteful look at Shane.

Shane giggled and left the room. ''Yeah...''

Cheyenne nodded. ''Alright...''

Halen led Cheyenne outside and climbed onto his horse, pulling Cheyenne up behind him. ''Thanks for letting us stay here Shane.''

Shane smiled and leaned against his house. ''No problem. And make sure this gets to King Richard.'' He tossed Halen a letter that had been sealed with wax.

Halen caught it and nodded, putting the letter in the horses ruck sack. ''What is it anyway?''

Shane smiled. ''Hopefully my ticket out of here. Either way, I'm not staying here. I'm leaving tonight.

I've over stayed my welcome and it's time to find a new hideout.''

Halen nodded. ''Be careful.''

Shane smiled. ''Same to the both of you.''

Halen nodded and snapped the horses reigns. The horse began to gallop towards the southern edge of the forest. Almost immediately Cheyenne's arms slipped around his waist. Halen drew in his breath. ''What are you doing?''

Cheyenne blushed, unknowingly to Halen. ''I need to hold on... remember?''

Halen rolled his eyes. ''Oh yeah, sorry.'' 'Dammit Halen, cut it out...' He thought to himself.

When they finally reached the southern boarder of the forest it was almost night. They weren't sure when they left Shane's cabin, but it was late now. They could see Canterbury off not too far away. It looked like a beautiful town. The castle was in the center of the town, surrounded on all sides by a huge marketplace and different living quarters. ''Well Cheyenne, what do you think?'' Halen asked, nudging the fox with his shoulder.

Cheyenne yawned and opened his eyes, looking out across to the town. ''Looks nice...'' He said quietly, laying his head back on Halen's shoulder.

Halen led the horse into a quick gait towards the town and soon the were in the market. Halen looked around at the shops, searching for inn of some sort. He spotted a promising place called ''The Jade Dragon'' and he stopped the horse to the side of the inn, helping Cheyenne off after he had dismounted. ''Come on... you will get some sleep soon enough.'' He grabbed his ruck sack and he walked inside, pulling Cheyenne with him.

The inside of the place was apparently a pub. There were furs everywhere laughing, drinking and talking. A fire was raging in the fireplace, and three rats were playing various instruments in the corner, furs gathered around and dancing. Halen walked up to the counter with Cheyenne at his side. ''Um... excuse me?''

A large red dragon stood up out of nowhere from behind the counter. Halen yelped in fright and nearly fell backwards if Cheyenne hadn't been there. ''Whoa! Sorry! Didn't mean to scare you! Just searching around down here for a stupid quill. Anyway, what is it you two needed?''

Halen was busy trying to recover form a near heart attack. ''We'd... we'd like to get a room.'' Halen replied. ''Two beds.'' He added seeing the smirk on the dragons muzzle.

The dragon nodded. ''Oy! Gualder!'' The dragon called.

''What is it now Relus?'' Came a voice from below them it seemed.

''Get up here!'' Relus, the red dragon called.

''Fine...'' There was the sound of something shutting and the a black scaled dragon, smaller than Relus, appeared. ''What is it hun?''

Halen looked between the two of them as Relus held up a key. ''Can you take these two to their room?''

Halen blinked. ''Wait! Don't we have to pay for it now?''

Relus turned to him and leaned on the counter. ''Nope, first night for newcomers is always free. And if you want something to eat, that's always free too, even after the first night. In fact...'' He bent down and stood back up with a few wrapped sandwiches. ''Take these, you two look starved''

Halen smiled and took the food. ''Thanks!''

Relus grinned and poked Gualder in the side, who was busy taking a drink of wine from a bottle he'd brought up from the cellar. ''Go on and show them where their room is.''

''Aye! Follow me then!'' He opened the bar's small gate and headed up the stairs. Halen grabbed

Cheyenne by the paw and pulled him along after the dragon. Their room was on the fourth, and top story of the building. '''Ere ya go! Enjoy your stay! And if there's anything we can do for ya, just let us know!''

''Alright, thanks!'' Halen said cheerily. So far this town seemed rather nice. The room was of a good size, it had only large bed, a table, and two chairs. Halen sighed when he saw the bed. ''I guess they don't have any rooms with two beds...''

Cheyenne nodded. ''We can just split it.''

Halen looked at him. ''You sure?''

Cheyenne nodded again. ''I don't care, it's big enough.''

Halen smiled. ''Alright then... Oh, here.'' He handed Cheyenne a sandwich. ''I'm hungry, so I'm going to eat this real quick.

''Yeah, me too.'' Cheyenne agreed and they sat down at the table and ate their sandwiches.

Halen stretched as he finished his meal and then got up and walked over to the bed, slipping under the covers and curling up. Cheyenne was soon under the blankets as well. ''Goodnight Cheyenne.'' Halen said softly.

''Night...'' Cheyenne answered, curling up and falling asleep rather quickly.

Halen sighed to himself and fell asleep shortly there after.

~~~
Cheyenne looked up at the ceiling and sighed softly to himself. He missed his family, and everything he had lost. He couldn't sleep and he was afraid of what he'd dream about even if he could.
There was a moan from next to him, he looked over to see Halen shift. ''Oh...mrrr...you...erf...'' He mumbled in his sleep.
Cheyenne sighed and looked back up at the ceiling. All of a sudden an arm wrapped around him and held him tightly. Cheyenne yipped, but couldn't move. Halen had rolled over and pinned him down with his arm. ''Umm... H-H-H-Halen?'' Cheyenne said shakily.
Halen grumbled and pulled the fox closer. He was rock hard and his cock was straining at his pants and grinding against Cheyenne's thigh. ''Mrrrrrrr....yeah...love....you....'' Halen groaned.
Cheyenne froze up when he felt Halen's wolfhood pushing into him. ''Halen...wake...''
''Mmmmmm... Cheyenne...'' Halen groaned and he thrust against Cheyenne's leg.
Halen yelped and struggled to push Halen. ''HALEN WAKE UP!'' He shouted desperately.
Halen's eyes opened and he saw Cheyenne in his arms. ''Sorry...'' He pulled his arm away. ''I...'' He felt his cock throb in his pants, and noticed the scared look in Cheyenne's eyes.
Cheyenne was turning redder than he'd ever turned before. ''You...you said... my...'' He didn't finish his sentence.
Halen's ears lowered. He opened his muzzle to say something and then just got up and left the room as quickly as possible.
Cheyenne whimpered and curled up in bed, hugging his pillow tightly.
Halen went down to the bar and sat on one of the stools, resting his head on his arms and sobbing into his fur. The pub was completely empty, but the fire was still going. A big paw came down on Halen's shoulder and he jumped in shock, turning around. ''Who...''
''Calm down, it's just me, Relus.'' The big dragon smiled and sat on the stool next to him. ''What's wrong? Mate leave you?''
Halen whimpered, trying to wipe his tears away but more filled his eyes each time. ''He... he wasn't my mate... I wanted him to be... but I don't think he's...well gay... and... and he just found out... that... that I liked him...''
Relus cringed. ''That sounds bad... how'd he find out?''
Halen sobbed harder. ''I... was dreaming of him and...''
Relus put a paw on his shoulder. ''I understand... it's okay... come here...'' He pulled Halen over and lifted him into his lap, letting him cry onto his shoulder.
Halen held onto Relus and continued to sob for a little bit. He eventually was quiet and he just sat there in Relus's lap. ''so... where's Gualder? He's your mate... isn't he?''
Relus smiled. ''Yeah, he is. We've been together for eight years. He's asleep right now. I'm just cleaning up.'' He smiled and sat Halen back on his stool.
Halen sniffled a little and nodded. ''What am I supposed to do now? What if he freaks out?''
Relus smiled. ''Well. if you're down here, that means that he probably already did. You should just go back up there and talk to him about it.''
Halen's ears flattened against his head. ''Do I have to?''
Relus smiled. ''Tell you what. Go back up there and talk to him, and I'll let you stay here free an extra day. And if things work out, you can stay here for a week.''
Halen's ears raised a bit. ''Really?''
Relus nodded. ''We have a surplus of food, and we make a good deal of money as it is. Now go on.''
Halen smiled and got up. ''Thanks Relus.''
Relus smiled and got up as well, giving Halen a hug. ''Your welcome. Good luck.''
Halen nodded and walked back upstairs. When he reached their room he took a deep breath and slowly walked inside. ''Cheyenne?''
Cheyenne looked up from the pillow he was holding and his ears flattened against his head. ''Hey...'' He said in a barely audible voice.
Halen's tail went between his legs and he walked over, sitting on the corner of the bed. ''I'm... I'm sorry I... did what I did...'' Halen looked down, he was blushing hard. More out of shame than embarrassment. ''I just... I have feelings for you... and... well I had a dream about you...''
Cheyenne was also blushing, though for him it was embarrassment. ''It's alright... I kind of like you too...''
Halen looked up at him. ''You... you like me back?''
Cheyenne nodded and sighed. ''It's terrible... I mean.... we shouldn't have these feelings about each other... we're both males... and...''
Halen cut him off. ''What? What's that supposed to mean?''
Cheyenne looked up at him, surprised. ''You don't actually want to get together do you?''
Halen's jaw was hanging open a little. ''Well, yeah I do. I really like you.''
Cheyenne whined. ''But... it's wrong... I mean...''
''Wrong? How is it wrong?'' Halen was starting to get a little upset.
Cheyenne whimpered. ''Well... my family would always tell me that if you were gay you'd go to hell and''
''Your family was wrong!'' Halen shouted. ''That's stupid! If God didn't want furs to be gay then he would not have given furs freewill!'' Halen's hackles were standing up on his back though his shirt prevented it form being too noticeable.'
Cheyenne whimpered a little. ''But that's what my parents sa-''
Halen growled. ''FUCK THEM! Did you ever stop to think that maybe they'd lie to you to make sure you weren't straight?''
Tears were rolling down Cheyenne's muzzle as he sat there. ''N...no...''
''Did you ever think that maybe your parents didn't love you enough to let you live your own fucking life?!'' Halen shouted.
Cheyenne began crying and he lowered his muzzle so his chin was resting on his chest. ''N-n-n-no...'' He choked out in between sobs.
Halen stared at him, teeth bared as he watched Cheyenne cry. It took him a few moments before he realized what he had done. He lowered his ears and moved closer to Cheyenne. ''Hey... I'm sorry... I didn't mean to.. but I... I couldn't help it...''
Cheyenne curled up on his side, away from Halen and he pulled his pillow to his chest, hugging it tightly as he cried onto it. ''Go... away...'' He managed.
Halen slowly laid next to Cheyenne and placed a paw on his side. ''I'm sorry... that I... lost my temper...'' He said softly.
Cheyenne turned over to face Halen, still crying hard. The red and white fur on his muzzle was wet and matted down. ''Please... just... leave me... alone...''
Halen shook his head and wrapped an arm around Cheyenne's waist. ''I won't abandon you...''
Cheyenne struggled for a little bit and looked up at Halen to protest, but when he saw that he wouldn't be released, he just wrapped his arms around Halen's waist and cried onto his chest. Cheyenne's tears soaked through Halen's black shirt. All the while Halen just pet down Cheyenne's back, whispering soft words of comfort to him until the two of them fell asleep in each others arms.
Halen led the horse along through the Forest slowly, the fox was sleeping against his back. The forest was much darker now that they had gotten a few miles into it. The trees were immensely high and spaced out from each other. There appeared to be a...
