#1 of Poems

This poem was inspired by and dedicated to my loving mate, Dragon Ell. The one whom I love and consider myself so very fortunate to have found. Can't wait until you get here, love!!

Dragon Ell, oh my Dragon Ell

I will love you for always

Forever, forever

Your name, your beautiful name is written on my heart,

On my heart

Your name, your beautiful name is written on my soul,

On my soul

All my days I am your pup

My heart, my soul, my body yours

All that I am, or ever was, or am to be

For all time

I am yours

From the rising of the sun, as it passes through the sky

Then to sleep at night, surrendering to the swath of brilliant stars

Scattered across the span of night

I am yours

Curled beneath your wing, drawing comfort in your strength

My scaled armored drake who shields from the burdens wrought in life

The one who soothes my wearied heart

I am yours

Then round you wrap my strong-furred limbs

I am the wolf holding you, crooning to my love

Giving of my strength and comfort when my drake is in need

I am yours

Now and always I am your pup, who is your wolf,

Who loves you beyond what words can say

Who will never leave you

But remain by your side all my days

Dragon Ell, oh my Dragon Ell

I will love you for always

Forever, forever

Your name, your wonderful name is written on my heart,

On my heart

Your name, your wonderful name is written on my soul,

On my soul

You are my love, my mate, my all

The one who makes me whole

Your loving mate,

Darris

Chapter 10: Emergence

_I think we should remain here for a few days. Hmmm ... maybe more, I haven't decided yet._ Eragon was about to drop another log into the fire when she'd spoke. Still holding it, he replied. _Wait. What? I thought we'd agreed to head back in the...

Chapter 9: The Decision

Eragon arrived on the main deck, thoughts stretched to their limit as he paced about, searching the night sky as if in hope that Saphira might suddenly appear, safe and sound. Seeing nothing he ran to the aft-most part of the ship and there gripped the...

Chapter 8: Ter'Olen

Still feeling drained from casting the spell, and the excitement that resulted from its revelation, Eragon decided to retire to his cabin for the remainder of the day. While he lay on his bed he thought about the image of the amethyst dragon he'd seen...
