This is my first story that i have ever done so, can you be kind and give me LOTS of feed back, (Spyro,Cynder,Sparx,Ignitus,Terrador,Volteer and Cyril are NOT owned by me they are owned by Sierra Entertainment.) if you are under 18, get out Now!!!

this story is based about 1 year after the end of Dawn of the Dragon. Enjoy!

Several dark shapes sailed overhead casting large shadows onto the ground, Paul looked up and saw only the treetops, he shook his head and kept on walking thinking to himself that he must be seeing things, he was lost, everything looked the same, he felt a stab of hunger, he stopped and opened up the backpack he rummaged around searching for something to eat, he grabbed an packet of bisects, he ripped the packet open and started to devour the bisects. After a few minutes he had eaten the food, he opened his canteen and took a sip. As he screwed the lid back on to the canteen, Paul packed his gear and set off again He was scared and worried, after a few hours of walking, He noticed that the surrounding terrain changed from light scrub and rainforest to a marshy swamp.

"Where am I?" Paul wondered aloud to himself as he tramped though the swamp, looking for a place to sleep for the night. After few hours of searching and wandering around he finally found a place where he could camp for the night, a small cave next to a free flowing stream at the very edge of a forest of mushrooms, giant mushrooms, when Paul stood next to one the very top towered over his head.

"Looks like I am going to stay here for the night" Paul muttered to himself as he turned and headed back towards the cave. He took a curious glance at the sky, he saw the three dark shadows winging there way over the giant mushrooms towards a giant outcropping of rock, suddenly he saw that the shadows had banked and were now heading towards him with surprising speed. Instantly his body screamed out RUN!!! But his body was not listening.

As the shadows came towards him, he could make out that they were dragons, one of them looked like a giant red fireball, one had jet black scales with a dark crimson chest and underside while the last dragon was covered in dark purple scales and bright gold horns and spikes running down the length of its body. Before he knew what was coming towards him, Paul found himself looking dumbstruck as the dragons landed and looked around, the purple one started to advance towards him. It stopped a few meters in front of him, with the other two dragons taking up positions near where the purple one was now.

"Hello, my name is Spyro, the purple dragon said as he started to introduce the other dragons that were standing a few meters either side of it. This is Cynder Spyro turned and pointed towards the jet black dragon, which looked straight at Paul, and this is Ignitus, Spyro pointed at the giant red dragon that also looked straight at Paul.

"What is your name Stranger?" Spyro asked inquisitively, the question caught Paul off-guard as he struggled to answer the question,

"M-m-m my name is p-p-p Paul, Paul stuttered nervously

Suddenly Cynder came up beside Spyro and said "Spyro, he might be scared talking to a dragon." Spyro just nodded his head and turned back to Paul.

"Are you a human Paul?"

"Yeah I am, why?" Paul replied suddenly getting his confidence and voice back.

Before Spyro could say anything Ignitus came forward and spoke.

"In that case you better come with us, there are many dangers about and you would be much safer if you came with us."

"Alright I'll go with you Ignitus, can you let me grab my things from the cave please?" replied Paul

"Ok, Paul go now!" spoke Ignitus hurriedly Paul just nodded and turned and ran towards the entrance of the cave, he quickly found his gear, which included a assault rifle and enough ammo for a lifetime, hand grenades and other military gear. He slung the rifle over his shoulder and slipped the grenades onto several clips attached to his hiking pack, he lifted the pack and put it on then walked outside waiting for him was Ignitus, Cynder and Spyro all of them looking like they wanted to get going to where ever Ignitus was going to take him.

As Paul walked over to Ignitus, Spyro asked "ahh, Paul what is all that stuff that you are wearing?"

"Oh just some gear of mine that I like to have why do you ask Spyro?" replied Paul with a sense of wonder

"AHEM!!!"

"Paul! Come on and climb onto my back!" Ignitus spoke firmly to Paul, who was quite scared about going flying a stride a dragon but any fear he had he did not show it, Paul quickly ran over to Ignitus and carefully climbed onto his back, without warning Ignitus jumped up and started to flap his wings.

"SHIIIIIIITTTTTTTT!!!!!" yelled Paul who was not ready for the sudden lift-off.

"Are you alright Paul!?" yelled Ignitus suddenly worried about his cargo

"Yeah I am fine, just tell me about the lift off next time" growled Paul

"Sorry about that Paul my apologies"

Then they were off, winging there way across kilometres of giant mushrooms, until they reached the mountain that Paul though of just to be an outcrop of rock. Stood a large and magnificent temple on each of the corners of the temple was a marble dragon carving that stood proudly looking over each corner of the temple.

Ignitus, Spyro, Cynder landed on one of the many balconies that reached over the tip of the mountain and gave a spectacular view of the surrounds.

"Thanks for the ride Ignitus, it was great!" Paul exclaimed once he had jumped off.

"I am glad that you liked it" replied Ignitus with a grin.

Suddenly there was Noise coming from within the deep reaches of the temple and soon Paul was greeted by a golden flying dragonfly.

The dragonfly took one look at Paul, then looked at Spyro and Cynder and asked

"Spyro what is that thing that you brought back with you?"

But before Spyro could answer the question several more dragons came into view and asked the exact same question to Ignitus, so Ignitus took the liberty of formally introducing the other dragons and the dragonfly to Paul.

"Paul I would like you too meet Volteer, he pointed too a dragon about the same size as him who had yellow scales

"My my, it is absolutely wonderful meeting a real human being, I was waiting for this day to arrive for a long while we need to talk Paul" Volteer exclaimed loudly.

"Alright then Volteer, we can talk later" Paul replied

Ignitus pointed to a dragon named Cyril, who had light blue scales. Then Ignitus pointed out Terrador, a large green dragon who, just glared at Paul. And lastly this is Sparx, Ignitus pointed to Sparx who was hovering behind Spyros horns, puffed out his chest and looked at his arm muscles proudly.

"Well it was nice meeting you all and getting to know your faces, but I need to put my gear away and answer some questions that you want to ask me" Paul said

"alright then, Spyro, Cynder can you help Paul with his gear, and then meet us in the main room please" Ignitus said to Spyro and Cynder who nodded and picked up Paul's pack between them and started to walk off toward a doorway with Paul following closely not wanting to get lost.

"Hey! Wait for me guys!" yelled Sparx as he sped after Spyro, Cynder and Paul, once out of earshot of the Guardians, Sparx came up to Paul and started to tug at a grenade clipped to Paul's chest, "hey, what is this?" Sparx wondered out loud to himself, as he tried to pull the pin on the grenade, Paul muttered "Sparx I would not pull that if I were you."

"Pull what?" Sparx said as he pulled the pin out of the grenade.

"THROW IT AWAY! Roared Paul as he grabbed the grenade from sparx's grip and threw it away, the grenade slid along the floor and came to a stop next to a stone dragon statue.

TAKE COVER!! Yelled Paul as he pushed Cynder and Spyro to the ground and covered his head.

BOOOOM!! , the grenade detonated showering the group in debris and dust. Paul was the first to recover and stood up, pulling Spyro and Cynder up onto their feet. Cynder exclaimed "WHAT was THAT!!???"

"A Hand grenade" Paul said calmly pulling another off it clip and tossing it up and down. "Lucky it was only a conventional one, because if it was a special one then the results would not be pretty.

"Come on, lets drop Paul's gear in our room" said Spyro to Cynder, as they entered the large and open spaced room of Cynder and Spyro. There was a large double bed, fireplace and a private balcony looking over the forest. Paul walked out on to the balcony and was soon joined by Cynder and Spyro "I don't know what happened I just found my self here, but I like it here I know I have only been here for a few hours but I can feel myself living here" Paul said to no one in particular.

"come on, lets go to the guardians, we all have questions for you Paul and it would be good if you answer some of them for us" replied Spyro, Paul just nodded and followed Spyro and Cynder to the main room. As they were walking to meet the guardians Cynder asked Paul

"Paul... why did you save me and Spyro from that grenade back there?" Paul paused and a few moments later replied "you two were in danger so I reacted and that is what I do for my friends....... I look out for them." As soon as Paul finished answering the question they arrived at the main room

"Now Paul, can you please tell us what were those things that you had when we first met?" Questioned Ignitus.

"What do you mean? oh those were just some weapons that I use to defend myself." Paul replied. In the next few hours Paul thoughtfully answered the many questions asked and thrown at him by the group of dragons.

"Oh does this temple have a dojo at all? Paul asked Spyro as Paul, Cynder and Spyro walked back to their room "I need to practice my Karate, that's all if your wondering why I am asking"

"Oh I am not wondering why you asked and yes there is a dojo here, we can practice tomorrow if you want to Paul." Replied Spyro as they got closer to Spyro and Cynder's room.

"Hey Spyro, where is my room around here? Asked Paul, Spyro thought then answered, "you can sleep in our room, I am sure Cynder would not mind." Spyro replied to Paul who nodded "thanks Spyro."
