Tales of Adventure Chapter 13
#13 of Tales of Adventure
Early morning light softly shone in through the window and a soft chorus of bird songs drifted into the room, lending to a general atmosphere of peace and calm.
A few days had passed since Enek had reawoken, during which Cyn had showed Asyr and him around the estate. The place they were staying was actually an adjoining home built on the castles grounds, likely for a good friend of the king or close guests perhaps. As shocking as the fact had been that they were staying at the King of Avalia's castle, the novelty of it wore off quickly.
Cyn had instructed them during their stay here that the estate home was staffed and handling meals, primarily to keep Asyr from having to walk about the castle. Stigmas regarding the beast races were hard to break, so it was the best solution to avoid any undue trouble. When Enek had asked her how she handled it though, Cyn had only only gone silent and her gaze drifted off before telling him it was fine and dropping the matter.

Inside one of the master bedrooms of the estate, cuddled in each others arms laid Enek and Asyr. His breathing was soft, quite deeply asleep still. She however, was awake. Simply shifting in his arms, her head rested on his chest and she listened to his heartbeats. It was comforting, the steady even tones. She let out a quiet sigh as a smile spread across her face. This was truly where she could feel the most comfortable since coming to this place, curled up against her alpha's chest and free of those dreadful things that feline Cyn forced her to wear whenever they left the house. She growled at the thought, honestly a proud canine like herself wearing those...shirts and skirt thing. It was impractical and just downright uncomfortable!
Though the tradeoff to it was the amazing feeling of freedom once her Alpha and her got back to their room. She practically ripped the clothes off last night and left them crumpled up in the corner where they still laid. Of course after she had finished with her own though, Asyr turned to Enek and "convinced" him out of his, even if it had consisted of a bit of thrashing around and confusion on his part as she leapt onto him and pulled them off. He was quick enough to catch on though once she sunk to her knees before his naked form. She hummed happily in her throat at the memory, licking her lips.
Above all Asyr was simply happy she had not lost him back in that terrible place. His body was broken and bleeding. Shallow breathing and heartbeats so weak it was certain that he wasn't going to last. Panic had gripped her and every instinct shouted to flee, but her Alpha had done everything he could to protect her. How could she live with herself if she had ran? Her honor would have been in shreds, but even worse her heart might not have survived that lost.
Her mood sobered somewhat as she just held him tightly. As much as she hated to admit it, if that feline.. if Cyn, Asyr corrected in her own mind this time, hadn't come to their aid it's likely he wouldn't still be alive. And as much as the feline clans displeased her, she was truly grateful. Taking the moment to look up at his softly sleeping face, he ran a hand up along his jawline. Though the humans didn't have fur, Enek like other males she'd seen did have a bit here. Though it seemed to have grown a bit since they had met.
The nature of their meeting had been strange enough, and so swiftly too. It was a miracle that they even had meals together, forget the fact that they were sharing the same bed. A bit unconventional of a courtship, but given that her chosen mate was a human... well traditions were already right out the window anyway. Smiling to herself again and licking at his chest and collarbone as she shifted, her soft furred breasts dragged across his bare skin and caused him to move and mumble slightly in his sleep.
Crossing her thigh and tail across his lower body as continued rubbing against him. Although in this case it was closer to dry humping him now, despite the fact moisture was quickly building between her thighs. They both moaned softly, she stifled hers with a soft bite against her lower lip, and his was simply an unconscious sound of enjoyment. Asyr yelped in surprise as she felt something poking her in the leg, looking down and finding herself very pleased with the result. Her little amusement had paid off as she watched his cock stiffen. Dragging herself down his body, keeping contact to his with hers as she did, Asyr slid down between his legs. Knees underneath her and ass raised slightly in the air as she bent down and buried his nose against his length. She kissed the tip of his cock and wrapped her fingers around the base. Her tongue came out and she lapped gently along the underside while her lips wrapped around the head of his dick and sucking.
Jolting awake, Enek looked around. The sensation immediately pulled his attention to sit up and look down towards her. Upon noticing he was awake, she gave him a seductive wink while her tongue wrapped around him, swiping a taste of his precum and swallowing it instantly. His head tipped back and eyes closed shut again, the feeling was amazing. "Ahem.." The sudden inclusion of another voice in the room made them both stop and eyes widen.
Sitting on a chair by the doorway was Cyn. Her ever present book laid across her lap and she had her hands up infront of her eyes, though it was obvious she was peaking up between them to watch somewhat nervously. "I thought I'd come wake you up bright and early since it's an important day today, but I can always come back later..?" She had said with intent of sounding in command, but her tone came out almost as a squeak instead.
Growling playful, lips still around his member, Asyr lifted her head away and spoke to Cyn in the canine language with a bemused smile across her face and a wagging tail.
If Cyn hadn't already been orange and furred, Enek was fairly certain he could have seen her blushing judging from the expression on the feline's face. "What'd she say?" Enek blinked in confusion, the fact they were naked with Asyr servicing him seemed to have already been forgotten somehow.
"I..I most certainly am NOT a stick in the mud! I just.." Her hands fully covered her face this time and she spoke out around them. "You can't just ask someone to join in an act like this you untactful mutt!" Cyn sat up, wrapping her arms around her book and holding to to her chest. Though as she sat up, Enek noticed her tugging and fidgeting with the skirt once more. "And I happen to like these clothes thank you!" Cyn stormed out of the room, tail wrapped around one of her waist.
Tail wagging happily, Asyr just laid there watching her leave while her hand remained wrapped around her alpha's cock. She let out a huff, signaling her own little personal victory this time. Though she signed in resignation afterward as she looked back up at Enek. "Clothes.." She said the word with disdain, releasing him to gather up the garments that were given to her to wear and pulling them on.
Taking a deep breath, Enek fell back on to the bed and just sighed deeply. "Yeah right, like I can just get dressed calmly after that.." He muttered softly to himself but still grinned anyway.

Both of them fully dressed, they exited the room. Enek's usual clothes had been cleaned, mended, and returned to him. The armor and pack however had not. Despite this it still felt nice to be back in his own comfortable brown slacks and grey shirt even if it branded him as a commoner by comparison of everyone else, the maids own dresses included.
Asyr on the other hand and gone through several pairs of clothing by means of shredding them before they finally settled on her current assortment. She wore a somewhat lose and flowing plain white dress, that was strapless and hung off the shoulders, beneath tighter fitting leather bodice. While similar enough to a hunting harness that she used to wear, it still caused the clothing to rub against her fur in all kinds of irritating ways. Beneath the skirt portion was even worse as she was expecting to wear skin, or in this case, fur-tight leggings that covered her from ankle to hip.
Cyn was waiting at the bottom of the staircase as they came down from the room. Adjusting her glasses and flipping open to a page in her book. "A little later than expected, but we should be fine. Come on, there's no time for breakfast. Besides it seems she's already had a meal today.." Her eyes glanced over to Asyr, who returned the look with a grin.
"What's the hurry anyway Cyn? You haven't told us anything." Enek glanced curiously at her as they followed her out of the home, heading towards the castle proper.
Looking down at her open book with a smile on her face, Cyn looked over at him from the corner of her eye. She quickly turned her attention back to her book upon noticing he had been looking back at her already. "O-oh! Um, I called together some of my fellows a few days ago and everyone that could make it is here. It's important that we talk about this today.." At that, Cyn reached into a satchel tied at her hip and pulled out a crown.
Eyes shifting to it, he turned his attention back to her as they continued. "Don't put it on, but I guess you already know that."
"Mm, actually that can be lesson one." Cyn flipped through pages in her book til she found what she was looking for. "Magic items like these typically only attune or connect with one person at a time. For another to use its power, the current 'owner' has to die or a magic rejection reaction has to occur, but that's just mystic babble right now." He chuckled softly, closing her book. "It's perfectly safe for me to put this on, though it's not something I'd do inside of castle grounds regardless."
Deep in thought for a moment, a realization came to Enek. "Your book is a magical item. You hinted at it when we first met but I guess it didn't cross my mind until just now."
Her answer to him was a nod. "I'll forgive your slowness on figuring that out this time, since you had been unconscious for a few days prior to having that discussion." Cyn gave him a playful wink.
Growling softly in her throat, Asyr felt completely out of place both in setting and conversation. It was true that Enek's magic had been partly responsible for attracting her in the first place but a full conversation about the matter was just making her head spin. Grabbing his hand tightly in hers, she just followed silently for the moment. Intent on soaking up as much information on the subject as she could.

The three of them came to a grand set of double doors down a longer hallway off the main set. Two guards flanked the doors, noticing Cyn they pulled the doors open without even questioning the human man or his curious canine companion. The room beyond was massive to the point that Enek wondered how it even fit within the rest of the structure of the castle. Rich crimson and gold silk rugs covered the floor, while tapestries did the same for the wall. They added a sense of coziness to the huge interior. Beyond that though, the room seemed to be divided up into sections with partitions. Certain portions had workstations set up with various flasks and glass tubes, some with colored fluids still inside. A few workers moved about between tables, comparing notes or relaying information on whatever subject they were discussing.
Cyn walked past it all, deeper towards the back half of the room where it seemed to slope down almost like a lecture hall. A few people were seated about at various steps along the decline in the room. Standing at the focus point to the room, queit conversation amongst the halls residents quieted as they saw Cyn and her guests. "Enek, I'd like to introduce you to the current remaining members of the Witchhunters faction. Just a fair warning though, some of them are a little weird.." she mentioned the second part quietly to him.
Enek, for his part just stood there. Mouth slightly agape with what was likely the dumbest look on his face. All he could get out of his mouth was a strained "Oh..". A soft laughter moved through the crowd of eccentric looking individuals.
