I have been spared...
#1 of Lucario
Chapter 1
Chapter one: I have been spared...
Run on pure imagination
I was just getting back from a gathering mission with a group of older Lucario. Being a Riolu, it is my job to watch them and learn to do my future job. I walked into the tent that had belonged to my family. "Hi, mom!" I yelled. She greeted me and sat me down.
"Ren, I want to give you something special." My mother had said. She pulled out a necklace that had a claw attached to it. "That claw is from a Garchomp. It is said that whoever wears it, gains a significant amount of power." She looked at me as if asking if I understood her. She cupped my face and continued. "I have been foretold by a Mismagius that this clan will not last long. In the case that you are separated from us, I need you to find a human that has a good aura. It will take care of you and you it" I nodded and hugged her.
Screams started outside. My mom looked at me and told me to run and don't look back. I loyally obeyed and ran into the woods.
*A few days later*
I came back to the village looking for food. But when I arrived, I realized I should not have come. Tents and bodies lay smoldered on the ground. Burnt to a crisp that seems to come from hell itself. I found one of the storages we used for berries and meats. I gathered as many berries as I could carry and turned around to go back the way I came. But once I hit the edge of the clearing, a Mismagius came out from the trees.
"You there, child what is your name?" It asked in an old raspy voice that belonged to a female.
"M-m-my name... My name..." I stuttered in sheer terror of the ghost pokemon.
"Go on, spit it out." She said.
I gulped and stuttered, "R-R-Ren... My name is R-Ren."
"Ah yes. The child of Andesia. Yes I spoke with your mother. I warned her of your village's impending doom from my people." The ghost floated unnaturally close to my face. Which only brought me more fear. "I told her to run. But instead she had you run." She floated back a little ways. I noticed she grew limbs, like those of a Gardevoir's legs. Only a dark purple color instead of a cream or white color. The Mismagius touched my face with one of her 'arms' and asked, "Do you know why your village was destroyed?" I shook my head no. "Your clan chieftain was using black magic. Of course by the laws of Mother Nature herself, that is forbidden. So we killed everyone here, except for one innocent one. Andesia was supposed to be that one, but I guess she sacrificed herself for you." She came back close to my face again. "You'd better make the best of your life now." She laughed maniacally and faded into nothingness.
I sat down and thought in horror about what I had just heard. But was interrupted mid-thought by some bushes rustling. I was too horrified from the conversation, if you can even call it that, to move. So I just sat there. Waiting for whatever was coming for me. And not long after, a pink haired human came through the bushes. I looked at her aura as soon as I remembered my mother's words. It was happy for the most part, but there was a lot of sadness there too. I decided that this was not the to stay with.
"Hello there. Why are you out here all alone in this ghost town?" The human asked. I cringed at the mention of ghost. She must have picked up on it because after a few moments I found myself being cradled in her arms and her saying, "Hey, it's alright. Nothings going to hurt you anymore." During those words, I felt something sharp stab into my arm. Then I felt really drowsy. I yawned and fell into darkness.
I woke up a few hours later inside of a pink room with a beige floor. But this floor wasn't like stone or dirt or grass, but... roughly fluffy. I guess that's the only way I could describe it. I looked around the room and found that there were a few other pokemon in the room. But something didn't seem right. They didn't move. And their mouths were fixed into a smile. I went over to a Tepig one and poked it. It was stuffed. I stumbled back in horror and curled up into a ball in the corner.
*Present Day*
Even though I am a Lucario now, I still sit in the corner. Waiting to get out. And maybe even hide somewhere else. And that was when the door opened. I looked over to see the girl who brought me here. I think her name is Nurse Joy.
"Lucario, there is someone here to see you." She said with a smile. I hated that smile. She always used it when she was about to poke me with those tiny clear spears that were filled with liquid.
The person who was 'here to see me' walked in and I saw it was a female. This has happened many times before including with males, but I refused to go with them. This one was different though. Her aura showed that she was severely depressed, but she didn't act like it at all.
"Can we have some time alone, please?" The girl asked.
"Of course." Nurse Joy said. She walked out of the room and closed the door behind her.
The girl walked closer to me. "Hey big guy, ease up. I'm not gonna hurt you." She comforted. I didn't know what she was talking about until I looked down at myself. I had unintentionally tensed my entire body. I let the tension go in one quick exhale. She sighed and scratched behind my ear. "You know, it'd be nice to have someone around." I looked her in the eyes. _She said 'someone'. Does that mean she sees me as... equal? _I thought to myself. I quickly hugged her. Positioning my body so my chest spike did not stab her.
"I know you are sad. But if you choose me, I can help." I whispered into her ears. She pulled away from my hug in shock that I could talk, but then nodded. "Thank you."
Author's notes:
Okay, so I got inspiration from reading other writers' stories about Lucarios. So I decided to write my own. But this is all imagined by me (hence my slogan; Run on Pure Imagination) so there is not copying going on here! At least none that I know of...
