#13 of The Wolf's Requiem

Ok so I finished the last part of this tonight, sorry if the ending seems a little rushed. I felt that I needed to get this done tonight and I feel this is the way to end this part. I know I have a tendency of bringing downs to my characters but I hope I've made up for it a bit with the wedding.

The sound of the motorcycle deafened out any other noise that the she-wolf could have heard from the world that zoomed past her two canine ears. The wolf's gold and midnight black coat flew behind her as she went down the empty country road, a long dust trail stirred up from behind the back wheel of the bike.

The she-wolf kept traveling down the road for a good half an hour before she came to a medium sized clearing. A flat stone filled circle layed in the middle of the clearing, along with a black robed white tiger standing at one end of it, talking to a male couple. The two males, one wolf and the other human, seemed very intent on talking with the priest. Three other people stood in an arch shape, one on the left side of the priest, two on the other. All three people were talking between one another with a merry, and happy tone. An older looking wolf was talking to another male couple, one lion and the other German Shepard,

The she-wolf stopped the bike by the edge at the other end of the circle, turning the machine off and applied the stand to keep it from falling to the side. She swung her leg over the body of the bike and started walking to the couple and the priest. As she walked she buttoned her coat up from the slightly chilly air, revealing more of the gears and clogs that covered the black background.

"So, this is what happened to my favourite cousin." She said with a happy tone.

"Live does go on you know," the male wolf said just before he went and gave her a big bear hug. "It's great to see you Mirok how is your side of the family?"

"Never better, things in the mine are actually picking up at the moment." Mirok said.

"You and your metals, honestly I don't know how you stand the heat of that forge of yours. Anyway, Jake this is my cousin Mirok, Mirok this is my fiancé Jake."

Mirok put a paw out and shook Jake's hand, giving him a pleasant smile. "So, you're the one getting Gale married. You're lucky, Gale's a good man so you better take care of him Jake, or you'll have me on your case."

"I will," Jake said as he nuzzled Gale.

Mirok looked at them for a moment before sighing slightly. "Gotta admit, you two do look good together."

"Excuse me," said the tiger priest. "I do not mean to interfere, but I believe it's time for the ceremony and we are on a tight schedule today."

"Yeah," Gale and Jake said in unison, making them both blush slightly.

The priest brought the group attention to the front, "We are here today to bring together a very special couple. Through hard times and through great, they have stayed together as strong as the day they started. I believe a few of the couple's friends have prepared some words."

Now I believe both have prepared their own vows."

The priest gestured to Jake who brought out a crimson red, nylon collar with an emerald heart attached on a small pristine golden ring, a darker red strip brought the golden ring and crimson collar together.

"Gale, you've brought so much in my live. Highs and lows. Good and not so good. But I wouldn't change a second of it. This collar represents the love you show every single day, for me and everyone else around you. I love you more than I have ever loved anyone else in my life, and I am honoured to be given the opportunity to spend the rest of my life with you to make up for all the times you have given with me."

Gale's eyes shone brightly with tears slowly forming on the edges. Gale detached the caller already around his neck, placed it in the second part of the holder and brought the new one around his neck, attaching it with a clicking sound. Gale brought out a golden ring with five diamonds at the top, the largest in the middle with the other four one either side of it. Gale put both paws onto Jake's hands with the ring still in between his own.

"Jake, when I see you my heart skips a beat, every single time. When I wake up with you next to me I smile with happiness because I'm with you, the greatest person I know. When I showed my feelings for you I made a moon's promise, a bounded promise that a wolf must keep no matter what, to protect and care for you. I love you with all my heart, I did on the day I met you, and I will continue to do so for the rest of my live."

Gale brought Jake's right hand onto his and pushed the ring onto the second to right finger, fitting the ring perfectly onto it. Gale looked at Jake in the eyes just before the priest continued with the ceremony.

"You may now kiss the groom."

Gale's and Jake's bodies were brought together, going into a loving embrace as their lips met and started to passionately kiss.

Three figures travelled into the clearing from behind the priest, out of sight from the attendees of the wedding. The two figures behind the first were Furs, one a German Shepard with seemingly two distinctive tails, the other was a slightly taller horse/fox Fur, muscular in stature with a small round item in the side pocket of his slightly tattered clothers. The female in front ran forward to the stone circle but then stopped in what seemed like shock.

"J-Jake?" The woman stuttered.

Jake turned around and gapped his mouth, his eyes unfocused slightly. "Jemma?"

"Wait," Gale said, "you mean Jemma, Jemma. Your sister?"

Jake didn't respond, he only stepped slowly over and put his arms around the female, for the first time in over ten years.

"Were have you been? Jake asked.

"It's a long story, but right now this man needs help." Jemma said motioning the fox/ horse hybrid.

After a moment Jake said, "It's you."

"Yeah, Gheol talked about the flower shop." The hybrid said.

"Gheol?" Jake asked as he helped the man over to a stubby, crumbled, seat height pillar.

"The hellhound you saw," the hybrid said as he sat, "he was a close friend of mine."

"Was?"

"Yeah, KIA a month after the shop." He said, looking down. "We don't have much to offer you, but we hear you need this."

The hybrid brought out the large sphere from his pocket, a large and void black ball with glowing lines carved into its surface.

"A Piece of Eden," Jake muttered as he took hold of it.

Just behind Jake something in Leo's eyes changed, they went darker slightly and a bit more feral. His cream coloured paw went straight to his pocket, going to the sturdy back of a pistol, bringing it out slowly. Gale saw this and moved as quickly as he could, moving almost in time with Leo's arm going up, aiming at Jake. Time seems to slow down for Gale, moved in front of Jake with his arms out, protecting his love as best he could. By now almost everyone knows of the gun, but no one can react as the shot rang over the clearing and through the forest.

But the pain didn't come as the sound faded... at least not for Jake that is.

Gale and Jake both let out long, soft, lustful moans as the last moments of passion left their bedroom, slowly leaving them in a blissful afterglow. Gale layed behind Jake on the soft bed, panting softly with his furry arms around Jake's middle,...
