I got up at alarm after hearing a loud booming noise. I jerked my head around to see what the hell the noise was. Shortly afterwards another boom occurred and I scrambled for my equipment, getting my belt, blasters, and Sword in their proper place and looked around. It didn't take me long before I discovered a bad thunderstorm just a few miles away from my location. At first I thought it was just some ordinary thunderstorm. I continued to think on for a second and decided to make sure.

"Scan!" I said and scanned around the area in my mind. What relayed back was two strong forces in the distance. 'Must be the Claxan,' I thought as I raced down towards it. I could already give a guess on what the element this guy had. Obviously lightning. At first I was nervous if he was capable of such a large storm, but then pondered on what having a lightning based spell will do for me.

The Great Fox managed to get to Zoness quickly after burning a few fuel cells. Over the last couple years everyone worked hard on trying to reduce the high pollution levels that Zoness had recently suffered, but it still wasn't doing all that good.

"Okay," Fox said, "I'm taking three others this time. Krystal, Falco, and Nordic need to stay here this time around." The three mentioned shrugged and went about their business. Fox thought for a minute before he spoke, "Tri, Adair, and Wolfie Steel." The three mentioned stepped forward. Fara was busy talking to Lucy and Zio to pay much attention.

"Alright then," Fox said, "Jovey, lead the way." Jovey nodded and stepped out of the ship first. He took a look at the dark gloomy landscape and took off to the air. He shouted down at the rest of the crew.

"Over there," he pointed towards a large thunderstorm in the distance, "there are also two hostile in there as well."

"Then let's move out quickly," Fox said and called Slippy on his communicator.

"Slippy, we need the speeders."

"On the way," Slippy said. As if right on cue, four speeders appeared right in front of them and the group quickly boarded them. Jovey got on the one with Fox right behind them.

"Follow my lead," Fox said and took off. Wolfie was next to follow, but Tri and Adair weren't so sure.

"Into there?" Tri asked. His fur looked a little bit standing on it's own. Adair and Tri gave a quick gulp and took off towards the storm, speeding up so they can catch up with Fox and Wolfie.

It took me long enough to get there. I was shortly standing in the middle of the plains, where lightning was striking only about twenty feet away from me. This was going to get dangerous, I might even have to try dodging lightning if I have to. This was not good, and if there are people in trouble here, I better hurry. I continued on when a flash of light occurred and lightning struck the ground right in front of me with a loud cackle. I back off for a little bit and looked up. The lightning shooting around the clouds was white and furious. It looked like lightning was about to strike again and I braced my self to dodge it. As it grew more intense I was bodily grabbed and tackled out of the way. I hit the ground just as lightning struck right where I was standing. I didn't look to see who tackled me out of the way as I was yanked to my feet.

"Over to that pillar," that someone said. He then yanked my arm going at a particularly fast speed. Soon I saw where he was taking me, he yanked me towards a pillar that seemed to draw the lightning toward the top of it. I hit the wall and caught my breath for a bit. I heard someone speak again but this time it was a different voice.

"Well that was a close one," he said, "you almost turned into barbecue." I looked up to see the two people. One was a wolf about the 6 ft tall. He sported dark black fur and had crimson red eyes the shone brilliantly. The other was an orange monkey. He had deep red hair except for one strand that was purple, and complimented with green eyes. I bet these were a few of the mercenaries we've been looking for.

"Thanks," I said, "who are you guys?"

"I'm Nokemy Irving," said the monkey with a large grin.

"I'm Kazuma Uzamaki," the wolf said, "we've been here for a while now, trapped in this thunderstorm."

"I found Kazuma from an escape pod just a few days ago," Nokemy said to me. I wondered for a second if these were the two who I actually scanned earlier.

"An escape pod?" I asked, "what for?" Kazuma hesitated for a second then shook his head.

"It's a long story," he said. He seemed to get very depressed all of a sudden so I figured something bad must have happened. I decided not to ask.

"Okay then I won't ask," I said and offered a hand to both of them, "I'm Ryan Lewis." They both shook my hand with a smile.

"Everyone as heard of you Ryan," Kazuma said to me, "you're very famous you know." I still couldn't grasp the idea that I was really that popular. It was never like that for my brother Eric and I back on earth. I still wondered how he was faring with my disappearance and all.

"I guess so," I replied.

"You know it's true," Nokemy teased a little, "I've been a big fan of you." He gave a small chuckle and looked around the place. Before I could reply I heard a loud roar from right above us. Us three looked up to spot a large behemoth. Its body was quite large at about 20 feet. It jumped down at us and we scurried out of the way. I pulled out my blasters and began firing at him. Each blast left its mark somewhere on the beast. However, the behemoth didn't seem to be phased by the attack. He charged a bright ball from his mouth and shot out lightning from it. I dodged the attack and tried again. This time Kazuma came to my assistance with one blaster. Nokemy kicked it in the side and slashed at it with his short sword. His sword had a curve to the blade much like a scimitar. The behemoth whipped his tail at him, but Nokemy just dodged with a skilled backflip and slashed a couple of times. His fighting style was pretty unique, almost acrobatic to look at. He managed to dodge another lightning strike only to get smacked with a claw, he rolled out of the way as Kazuma stepped in, wielding a large scythe. I looked closer at his weapon while still firing to see that connected to the scythe was a spiked ball and chain. He swung the weapon around his body hitting the monster several times over. Kazuma then ducked out of the way of another lightning blast and the monster instantly switched gears coming out at me. I ducked out of the way of one claw and he swung his body around catching my back with his tail. I flew right into the wall hitting it head first and landing hard on my back. I rolled out of the way when the beast jumped out at me and I chanted.

"Fire!" I shouted and sent a fireball his way. I managed to get him in one eye and he staggered for a bit. The behemoth growled easily pissed off when I saw a flurry of blasts hitting it from the side. I turned to see who the source was. Coming in quickly was Fox, Adair, Tri, and Wolfie shooting greatly at it. After several flurries of blasts from them, Kazuma and me the beast collapsed. He writhed for a bit before he collapsed dead. They landed their speeders and ran over to me. Wolfie and Jovey was helping Kazuma and Nokemy over to the speeders.

"Ryan," Tri shouted worried, "are you okay?"

"I'm fine," I said. The pain in my head was still pretty great and I was showing it.

"We'll get you all fixed up," Adair said and took a first aid kit out the Zio had supplied him and got to work on my forehead.

"I'm glad we found you Ryan," Fox said, "what happened?" I explained everything that happened since Katina, from Fario to the spells and the mysterious voice. I relayed the message he gave me and Fox gave a serious look, although I could see him smiling underneath it.

"Magic eh?" Nokemy said as he, Kazuma, Wolfie, and Jovey approached.

"These are the two we're looking for," Jovey said, "let's get back to the Great Fox." We all nodded and slowly headed back to the speeders. Before we could continue we heard a loud boom in the sky and some laughing. We quickly turned and looked up at the sky.

"Scan!" I shouted and started examining the person as he descended from the clouds. He was in a black trench cloak and was a tall blue horse. A small electric current flowing around his body. The Claxan never disappoints to make an appearance at the most inconvenient time. Once he was a few feet over the ground he stopped and remained hovering.

"Good to see you all gentlemen," he said with a smile and charged up. We all drew respective weapons and aimed them right at him.

"Who are you?" I said angrily. I was preparing another fire spell in my head as he spoke.

"My name is Iozawa," he said, "master of all things lightning. I'm going to kill all of you faster than you can say uh-oh."

"Time to go," Adair said. We all jumped on the speeders and took off. Tri and Adair we're on one, Wolfie and Kazuma on another, Nokemy and Jovey we're on another and Fox and I took the last one. We sped off quickly trying to out race him. It was to no avail, he flew at us in pursuit at a very unprecedented speed and started to fire several lightning bolts at us. I tried another spell.

"Fire!" I shouted and threw the fire ball. He easily deflected it from his hand and shouted.

"That won't work on me like it did my pet," he shouted and aimed another bolt right at Tri and Adair. Tri concentrated and split his speeder into three, making two false speeders of him and Adair. Adair chanted and made another illusion, blurring out the three speeders to make it hard to hit accurately. Jovey chanted at us and our speeders sped up even more. Wolfie and Kazuma aimed their long distance weapons and fired, each one resulting in a miss.

"Time to end this," Iozawa chanted and a barrier began to form right in front of us. Everyone however, managed to break through before it solidified, everyone except for Fox and me. Fox made a sharp turn and break before we collided with it. The others stopped and looked at us in worry. I gave the order to continue on and after a little bit they nodded and did so. Now Fox and I were left alone with the crazed thunder horse. The horse descended to just a few feet above the ground as he spoke again.

"I'm growing bored with this," he said, "why don't you put on a show for me?" he said and charged again. Several lightning bolts shot down from the sky and landed right in front of us. Fox and I split up trying to dodge each and everyone of the attacks, almost to the point of clumsy dancing. We could hear him laugh as we bumped into each other backs surrounded by the lightning.

"Now you dance with each other," he laughed and shot the lightning around us with accuracy keeping us jumping around with limited space.

"Son of a bitch," Fox shouted, "watch out." Fox pulled me in to dodge anothe bolt of lightning and I pushed forward to help him dodge on also. This was looking rather rediculous. Fox pulled out his deflector shield to try deflecting the lightning bolts as we rushed him with his blaster and my sword. He quickly sidestepped each attack and shot and continued shooting his lightning bolts at us. This little scenario continued until one of his blasts connected with us sending us backwards several feet. We both hit the ground hard on our backs and he chanted, sending a flurry of thunderbolts right at us. I was getting pissed and ran at him faster, sidestepping each wave as it approached and aimed to stab for him, he quickly sidestepped it and I threw my sword at him. This caught him off guard and he couldn't get away fast enough as the sword went through the left side of his chest. Fox had his accelerator on and quickly jump kicked him in the other side. Fox then held him around and gave several fast punches and kicks to his head before bodily grabbing him and throwing him right at me.

"Incoming," Fox shouted as I called my blade reappeared back into my hands and I struck. I sent a few more fire spells his way all of them connected and Iozawa staggered on his feet.

"You guys are tougher than I thought," he said as we approached him again quickly.

"That's because we're the Star Fox team," Fox shouted and fired his blaster at him again. As he tried to dodge it I threw my sword at him again this time accompanied by another fire spell. All of the attacks caught him and sent him down onto his knees. The battle was won, but there was only one way to test it out.

"Thunder!" I shouted and a single bolt appeared from my extended hand and shot him right in the heart. He shouted and collapsed, breathing hard from it. I knew then that the battle was over. As Fox and I slowly approached him though, Deja Vu seemed to happen again. Another cloaked figure stepped in front of me and pulled out a sword almost like my own. However, instead of aiming it at me he turned around and stabbed Iozawa right in the neck. I stopped frozen as the blood rushed out of Iozawa and he gave a blank gaze unmoving, to signal that he was dead. Fox and I looked at each other in equal surprise. The figure pulled off of Iozawa and looked at me again. He aimed his sword at me and charged quickly. I pulled out my sword and blocked, just as a dark aura surrounded us and I felt myself disappear again.

Before I knew it, I was right back in that dark realm, the same place I was before I fought Fario. This time the figure was standing right in front of me, his bloody sword still clasped in his hand. I scowled at him and held my sword up. I was angry, even though I didn't like the Claxan, I couldn't forgive him for killing his own teammates. He just looked at me and charged again. Before I knew it I blocked again and was enveloped into a bright light. What the fuck now? Once the light dissipated I was once again on solid ground, or solid ice is more like it. I looked around the scene, the place was dark and cloudy, but all was covered in snow and ice. Apparently I winded up right in Fichina.

"Number 9 is eliminated," someone said from right behind me. I turned to see the cloaked figure once again.

"Why are you doing this?" I asked him, his voice was strikingly familiar.

"Because I can and I want to," he said plain and simple then disappeared. I looked stunned for a second before looking around. It seems I like to get taken everywhere, and now I was turning into Lylat's only human Popsicle. I was tired, cold and hungry from the last battle. I tried to cast fire spells to keep me warm, but I didn't have the energy to at this point.

"Hello?" I shouted into the air. I could only hear echoes as the whole thing continued. I shouted again and after a few seconds it was the same. I turned around and started to walk. After a few minutes though I stopped as I heard some music approaching. It sounded beautiful, like a harp and I looked to see whom it was. After a few minutes the music was loud enough to be right behind me, and it was as I quickly turned to see who it was.
