I thought that I knew you

#5 of Poetry

An older work of mine, made it when I was feeling a bit frustrated and sad about how my "attempted" relationship went.

I thought that I knew you,

and the things that you did;

Yet when I get closer,

you behave like a kid.

About how some people,

haven't always been fair;

Like mistreated your feelings

and haven't always been there.

So I lend you my shoulder,

and listen to your pain;

About broken relationships,

and why they end in vain.

You say you want someone,

who can listen and understand;

And after you said that,

you softly took my hand.

I knew about your feelings,

and you knew about mine;

and every time that we met,

I wished they would last for all time.

Because when you are in my arms,

and I smell your soft hair;

During all those peaceful moments,

it's only you about whom I care.

So I wish to protect you,

with my body and soul;

Because seeing you happy,

that is my only goal.

But you yourself,

aren't acting this way;

You are having a good time,

and I have to pay.

By neglecting those who care,

you are becoming what you hate;

Losing even more close friends,

with every douche bag that you date.

So now for the last time,

I will tell you the truth;

Stop F*cking with my mind

if I may be so rude.

So from this moment on,

I will simply don't care;

When you come to me for some help,

because somebody wasn't fair.

I will look you in the eyes,

And tell you very sound

Well now you finally know how it feels,

when someone thinks your feelings do not count

Dream me and I

I live in two seperate worlds, one is outside, one is inside. But one contains all and everyone, while the other only contains me. In one world I'm the outside me, Pretending to be like them. I'd walk on two legs and wear clothes, and talk about...

Adrift

I'm on my back, looking at the clouds. They are floating, free in the wind. Staring into nothingness, I wonder in my mind. How it would be, to be floating myself. I would go to faraway places, see the wonders of the world. Explore the...

I am not I

I am not being the being who I am, not living the life I'm living. I'm but a shell, a outer layer, a masquerade, a rehearsed play. To most persons I am like a mirror, showing just a reflection, a shard of soul. They see me as just another, a...
