Operational log: 2200 hours

Location: New York City

Moon Phase: Full, day one of three

On a cold night of the full moon, a tall black werewolf wearing a coal black trench coat ran endlessly through the dark alleys trying to escape from his pursuers. But it was of no use. "Shit. I have to get out of here" the tall figure said to himself while running through the alley. The sound of a car filled the air as it halted with a screech to block the end of the alley. Four men jumped out of the vehicle and headed towards the wolf. "Damn it", the wolf said to himself. Then another vehicle pulled up at the other end of the alley completely blocking it off. The group of eight slowly surrounded him, each having a snicker or sneer on their face. This must have been due to the fact that each was caring a weapon ranging from jagged pipes to sawed off shotguns. They surrounded him "Here wufie, wufie, wufie", one of the men croaked. The circle grew tighter around the werewolf, closing off all attempts of escape. A tall lean man exited the circle stepping towards the wolf. "This must be their leader", the wolf thought to himself. "Tonight's your lucky night, FREAK", the leader barked. "How 'bout we end your suffering, a slug through the head, or through the heart, you choose", he laughed.

Mean while at the base...

Amanda was staring at the monitor with a terrified look on her face. "Jonathan we have to do something they completely surrounded him. We have to hurry we need to help him." "Don't worry Amanda Alex and Jeffery are on the pad waiting for my orders." "Then why didn't you send them," she barked. "Because..." "because why," asked Amanda. "Just watch Amanda."

"So what will it be freak. Come on I know your kind can talk", the man said. The werewolf smirked and began to chuckle, under his breath. "What the hell is so funny", the leader questioned. "What's so funny is you, fool", the wolf answered. "WHAT DID YOU SAY", the man yelled in a furious tone. "I'll give you three reasons why I think your party of jaw jacking idiots are fools. One, you cornered me on the full moon, bad idea some one like you should know that is when we are at are peak of power. Two, we're in the dark, and last time I checked, human can't see shit in the dark. Especially when compared to werewolves. And three, you came unprepared. An eight man crew is fucking insulting to me." "You cocky freak", said the leader. He then pulled out the large caliber pistol he had in his jacket aimed it and shot the wolf, laughing as he squeezed the trigger. The loud bang and the flashed signaled that a shot had been fired. The wolf only hunched over after taking the bullet in the stomach.

"Jonathon they shot him! We need to get down there", Amanda said in a worried tone. "Just watch Amanda you haven't seen any thing yet", Jonathon remarked

"Oh, I'm sorry did that hurt", the leader said with a smirk. "Was it supposed too", chuckled the wolf, as he raised his head back up to look at the leader. Do you think that piss shooter can actually hurt me?" "Fine then how bout this", the leader then pulled the trigger four more times filling the wolf with the hot steel. "How bought that freak", did you feel that? The wolf backed up a bit, hunched back over as he felt the hot steel penetrate his flesh. The leader looked over to one of his friends and barked out an order. "Carlos toss me that pipe. Say goodnight freak", he said as he lifted the pipe over the wolf's head, ready to give him the final blow. Or so he thought. As he swung the pipe the wolf easily jerked his head out of the way. The man came back once more, but this time the wolf trusted his hand out and caught the blow as it was coming down. "You humans are pathetic", the wolf chuckled as he ripped the pipe from the man's hands. "Take this", the he said as he threw it back at Carlos with such a force that it impaled him and sent him flying. "Take a look at the wounds you caused", the wolf barked. The leader stared at the bullet holes and saw that they were closing up. He then squinted to see that the bullets were slowing coming out of the wounds. He gasped as all five fell to the ground. "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU", he said terrified. "I'm Dark Wolf. And you just fucked with the wrong wolf." Before the man could move the wolf lifted him up and threw him through the hard brick wall of the alley. "IM GETTING OUT OF HERE", screamed one of the men. "The hell you are", snapped the wolf, as he dashed to the man with such a speed that the wind from it knocked over the others. When the man turned, flesh and fur met with a punch that instantly shattered the man's skull and sent him flying into the car at the end of the ally where his head shattered on the door. It was all over in a matter of minutes as the huge wolf took care of all eight men. Three dead and five unconscious, lay in the ally.

Just then two bars of light appeared and the two figures wearing large black cloaks stepped out. "What the hell happened here?" One of the two asked. "Oh just a little fight", said the wolf. "A LITTLE, THERES BLOOD EVERYWHERE", said Jeffery. "Are they all dead", asked Alex. "No. The one with his head through the car door, the one on the other side of that wall, and the pin cushion over there, the rest are all unconscious", the wolf answered. The two removed their hoods to reveal the wolves they were. One was black and the other gray. "I am Alex Gerlton and this is my associate Jeffery Tunstan. We're here from the ASL. We need you to come back to the base with us", commanded Alex. "Fine but I need to contact my boss first." "Here use this", said Jeffery, as he handed his communicator to the wolf. He punched in the number and waited until his boss picked up. "Hey Rick we got another problem." "WHAT? WHAT DO YOU MEAN", he snapped. "Well, a bunch of punks tried to ambush me and failed miserably." "Ah shit Chris. How many?" "Eight in all, three dead." "Damn it Chris, the press is going to have a field with this, every time you go on one of your vigilante sprees we have to explain that some wild dog did this and that there is no such things as werewolves", said Rick. "I know, but what was I supposed to do they all had weapons and one of them put five slugs in me." "Well good, probably the laws of karma took effect early for you, waking my sorry ass up at this hour. Just to be safe I'll send a bus and a squad car to pick you up", said Rick. "Um Rick", Chris interrupted. "WHAT", Rick snapped. "Full moon." "Shit that's right, just get out of there", Rick exclaimed. "Look some military group wants to come with them; it looks like I have no choice. I don't fell like having another go at it. I don't know how long I'll be gone either so when I get back, if I get back, I'll call the station", said Chris. "And what will we do without you? You're the best damn detective we have", Rick asked. "Let the rookie take over till I get back. He's a good detective", Chris answered. "Ok but you better be back here within a week your badge is mine, got it." "Yah", Chris answered. "See ya." Chris turned around to face the two wolves handing the communicator back to Jeffery. "Carmen we're ready" said Alex. The parallel light bars enclosed around them, and they disappeared.

They reappeared and were greeted by Carmen and Jonathon when they arrived at the base. "Ah Alex, Jeffery glad you could get back so soon." " Jonathan here's the subject. We'll go and debrief", said Alex. "I know that voice HOLY SHIT. JOHNATHAN FORD?" "Yes" Jonathon answered with a puzzled expression on his face. "Is it really you", Chris asked. "Yah it's me." "No it can't be. You're a werewolf," Chris said. "Things change Chris, things always change", said Jonathon. "Man when we were in the air force you wouldn't even believe in such a thing", chuckled Chris. "Things change Chris", Jonathon said once more. "Well what happened?" "It's a long story." "I'm a detective I like stories." "I'll tell you later", Jonathon answered. "Well I see you met my finest men," said Jonathon. "Their a little stiff, don't you guys have any humor running around here", Chris said with a smirk. "Ha, very funny Chris", said Jonathon.

However Chris was no ordinary werewolf. He stood Eight foot five, a good two heads taller than Jonathon, quite large for a wolf. He had char coal black fur as black as the darkest night some one could imagine. He also had on a charcoal black leather trench coat with polished metal spikes on the shoulders and on the top of its cuffs, black military parts and a black t-shirt. Over his shirt you could see that he was covered in all sorts of harnesses for weapons. Also his regeneration powers allowed him to heal ten times faster than a normal were. "Well black is my Color" said Chris. "I can tell", replied Jonathon. "How did you get those clothes to fit? Especially those harnesses", said Jonathon in amazement. "It's a synthetic cloth that uses nanotechnology to reshape and fit when one shifts. One size fits all, my own invention", Chris answered. "I have got to get me one of those", said Jonathon. "I'll look into it", said Chris. "How about I give you a tour but first let's stop at the strike satellite command center." They walked down the hallway towards a large door on their right. "Nice place you got here John I see the doors are much taller than normal ones", said Chris. "That isn't the half of it. You should see the rooms, everything is made larger so we can be comfortable." "Interesting", said Chris. As the door opened Amanda walked out holding a notepad. She was so caught up in her work that she didn't notice Chris and walked right into him. "Oh I'm..." Amanda stopped when she noticed the extremely large wolf. You're huge, she said with wide eyes. "Oh I'm terribly sorry, I'm Amanda this is the control room. I'm the head of the strike satellite system. My husband Wayne works a different shift tonight he'll be in tomorrow, if you want to meet him." Chris laughed at her response and gave a solute. As she left Chris turned to Jonathon. "Maybe I should change back so I don't attract so much attention", whispered Chris. "You'll be fine", Jonathon assured Chris. It took Jonathon a second to realize what Chris had just told him, but when he did he jumped and turned to face Chris. "Wait what do you mean change back", he asked. "Well I can shift any time I want", Chris answered. "Come with me to my quarters, I need to know more about your abilities", said Jonathon in a startled manner.

The two walked in silence to Jonathon's corridors. The door slid open with a slight hiss. "Have a seat Chris", said Jonathon. "Nice office you have here", said Chris. "Thanks", Jonathon replied. Before Chris could sit down Jonathon had rushed past him and taken his seat. "So Chris, how can you shift on demand", he said in an eager tone. "I don't know can you", Chris asked Jonathon. "No, only on a full moon", he answered. "How did you heal that fast, I would be in the hospital for a month after getting shot that many times", Jonathon continued. "You just stood their as the bullets healed themselves out. How can you do that", he asked Chris. "I really don't know", answered Chris. "How did you become a werewolf Chris?" "I was born one". "WHAT! No one bit you", Jonathon asked. "No", Chris answered. "Tell me how it happened", asked Jonathon. "Jesus john is this a conversation or an interrogation", Chris said in a annoyed tone. "I'm sorry Chris but you're the first were I've seen with these abilities. Not to be blunt, but you are an enigma to us. Its like, well you're like the ultimate werewolf."

"Well..." Chris started. "It all started two years after I left the air force, and became a cop. It was my second day on patrol when we got a call to break up some protesting. My partner Sora and I drove to the area. We hit the flashers and they all scattered like roaches from the light. But there was still this old man left. I asked him if he needed a ride he said no, but I insisted. My partner wasn't too happy with me, but I had a strange feeling about the guy. I helped him into the back of the car. He looked Native American from what I could tell. Then when we got to his house he asked me to come in so I did. Sora waited outside for me in the car. He came up to me and said "do you know who you are". "I said, yah I'm a cop". "No, no I mean do you know who you are on the inside". I said "yah, I'm a good person." I could see that he was getting frustrated with me. He sighed and said "I don't know how to tell anyone this so I going to tell you straight out. You are special, even among the special you're special." I said "yah I'm a psychic." He shook his head. "More special." My eyes grew wide. "I will master telekinesis", I said. "No" he said. "Even more special". "You're a werewolf, born on a Friday on the night of the full moon, you have a gift that most werewolves only dream about. You have the ability to shift at any time. And all the other things you said. You also have ten times their strength and one thousand times what a normal man of your size does". I couldn't believe what I heard. I then felt real dizzy then everything went black."

"Sora must have heard the thud as she was coming up the stairs, because when I woke up she had put an ice pack on my head. The old man came by and removed the pack from my head. He then put his hand on my head and uttered some type of incantation. All I knew is that the room got really cold and all these lights flashed in the room. It felt like my whole body was on fire. Then I started to transform, and it was so painful. I could feel my bones break and reform. As I stared at my hands I saw my fingers stretch and become more like paw as the black fur started to cover them. I wasn't the only one that passed out that day it took us two hours to bring her back. I guess the display was just too much for her. She started screaming when, she came too and saw me. Whatever she saw it must have been terrifying because it took the man at least ten minutes to settle her down. When he got her to settle down the old man finished the incantation. He said "you are the dark wolf born under the day of the dark moon". He continued. "Many don't understand that weres are justice bringers. Some even hunt weres, so be careful. This great gift can also be a great curse if any one finds out." He gave me a huge black cloak and gave one more piece of advice before we left. He said "if you unexpectantly transformed to put it on and no one will be able to tell if you're a werewolf. As I got up I looked into the mirror and saw what I was now. I couldn't believe what I was seeing, standing there was a huge black wolf. Well I couldn't go back to the station at this time, because what would they do with me they wouldn't recognize me and might take me as a threat. So Sora took me to her house and called me in saying that I came down with something. It took me a few days to figure things out a switch back into my original form.

"We kept it secret from the world and I guess that's how we fell in love. And a year later we got married. Life couldn't get much better for me, or so I thought. But it was a month later when my life took a turn for the worst. Some one found out about me. I don't know who but some one did. It was Christmas day when it happened. We had just left my best friend Terry's party. We were walking home together... Chris stopped as tear ran down his muzzle. We never made it home that night. A black car pulled up out of nowhere and a cloaked figure got out... I tried to protect her but when I saw the flash of a gun muzzle I froze. Then ten more flashes followed. There was nothing I could do as I collapsed to the concrete. She came running to me, but before she got to me I saw him put the gun to the back of her head, I screamed her name out, and then he pulled the trigger. I ... I... watched her die. That son of a bitch just left me for dead and drove off. With what little strength I had I crawled to her cradling her in my arms. I cried the last of my strength out on that cold hard street."

When I awoke I found myself in the crypt. In one of the shelves I didn't really know if I was alive or dead, but an impulse told me to start making noise. So I banged on the door until I heard loud footsteps. Like the sound of someone running. The door flew opened and I saw my friend terry standing over me. He freaked at the sight that had bestowed him. "How can this be you're dead", he manage to choke out. I slowly climbed off the shelf to face him. He gasped as the bullets that once filled my body were healed out and fell to the floor. I didn't even pay attention to him though. Still grief stricken and angered, I tried to walk out of the room but he stopped me. Chris what are you doing? I didn't answer. All I could feel is the anger that consumed my sorrow. I walked into the evidence room gathered my cloths, and got dressed. After I finished putting them on I walked out of the morgue. I took the elevator downstairs to the station. When I walked in my boss Rick, who was standing by the front desk, saw me. His jaw dropped and he lost the grip on the coffee mug in his hand. It hit the floor shattering into pieces. The whole department grew silent as they all stared at me. "Chris", he said in a very shaky voice. "Is it really you?" I just stood there with the expression of anger as I turned around and walked out. I went home, but the rest of what I did is a blank. I woke up later in my bed. The clock read eleven o'clock. I got up and went into the living room, turned on the TV to watch the news. As I did, a report came up on a man wearing a cloak. They said that the police found his body mutilated and ripped apart. A thought ran through my mind at that point. Did I kill him? Did the wolf inside me take over? I didn't know. But I did know one thing. That if it was me that killed him, then now my wife's soul could finally rest.

They could never finger the culprit. Probably because the attack looked more like a vicious dog had done it. But Rick and Terry knew better. They figured I had did it, But they were very understanding. They didn't know how I did it but I told them that I did kill him because he killed Soura. No charges were filed so I didn't get any grief from IBA. A year later got my gold badge. But it was that year, a year after my wife died when I learned of my power. It came to be when I was walking home from the station. I heard a scream coming from one of the alleys, and being the cop that I was, I ran to help. I found the alley where the incident was occurring. The girl looked just like my wife and because of that I froze on the spot. Lot of good that did me for the next thing that happened to me was getting blasted by a sawed off shotgun at almost point blank range. The wounds started healing instantly but not fast enough for me to get up. The pain was excruciating, I couldn't do anything, so I said a prayer in my head. "God if your listening give me the strength to get up and help this girl." But then I screamed out loud, "PLEASE GIVE ME THE STRENGTH". It was then when the burning under my skin began again. The world around me was spinning out of control, spinning around me in circles. So I closed my eyes, but it didn't help. Out of the chaos, images of wolves and the full moon flashed in my mind. I could hear my bones crack as they slowly reformed. When I opened my eyes I could see thick black fur sprout my hands agian, as my fingers lengthened and claws formed. My clothing ripped and as I my muscle mass tripled. I turned myself onto my stomach, and began to stand. I could see my vision which was now becoming colorless, got sharper and the more brighter. As I stood my almost destroyed shirt fell from my newly transformed body. I looked up to see the man who had completely ignored me, pull out a long hunting knife and raise it above the girl. That was enough for me, as instinct took over. I rushed towards the man seizing his arm just before the blade pierced the girl. He turned to me, very slowly with a look of horror on his face. As he did I gave a low growl. The look on his face when his eyes met mine was enough satisfaction for me. Well that was until he got the shotgun out again. But that didn't stop me. I grabbed the barrel and bent it upwards as he pulled the trigger. Panic was written allover his face after that. "How does it fell to be the prey", I said in my new deep voice. He gave out a horrific scream, but before he could run I extended my claws and slashed him in the stomach with blinding speed. I didn't realize how sharp they were until his intestines pored from the wound, falling to the ground in two pieces. It was over, the girl was saved.

I started looking around for the girl when I heard what sounded like someone crying. I turned to find the girl huddled behind one of the dumpsters. "You okay?" I asked in a meek tone, not trying to scare her. She didn't answer. "Its okay I'm here to help you." She looked up at me with petrified eyes. Then she turned her head and looked at the gory sight of her attacker that lay on the cold concrete ground. Then she looked back up at me but this time the terrified look was gone. I extended my paw hand to her to help her up. But she completely bypassed my hand as she shot out at me and wrapped her arms around my waist as she began sobbing. "Shh its okay, he's dead he's not going to hurt you", I said in a soft tone. "You need to go home, its much safer there at this time of night." "Please don't leave me", she pleaded with her face stilled buried in my stomach fur. I sighed to myself as I scooped her up off her feet. "Were do you live", I said. "I live on Washington Street apartment six", she said while sniffling a bit. I ran with her through the shadows of the alleys, trying not to be seen by anyone. We exited an alley that led to her apartment complex, as I neared the exit of the alley; I stopped and set her down. "Here you are miss", I said. She re-latched onto me and began to sob again. "Thank you so much, thank you", she said between sniffles. I didn't say anything. As she walked off she turned to see me and waved. I walked back into the shadows of the dark right before she turned to see if I was still their."

"And that was it for me that night or so I thought. I dashed back to my apartment and entered carefully trying not to be seen. When I reached for the door it opened and my good friend Terry was standing on the other side. "Hey Chris just came by to drop...", he started saying. The color left his face when he saw me. I caught him right before he hit the floor. I sighed as I closed the door and laid him carefully on the couch. He woke up an hour later to see me with my head down on my kitchen bar. I heard him lift out his gun, and lifted my head from the bar. He froze when he saw me move. "Who...who are you", he said in a shaky voice. "Its me", I answered with a deep sigh, as I put my head back down. He dropped the gun with a thud and walked over to me. "What the hell happened to you, I mean this is a costume right?" "I'm sorry terry but this is no Joke", I reassured him. "It...it has to be. I...mean werewolves don't exist", he said in a jumpy manor. "How do you think I was able to walk out of that morgue alive with those bullets healed out of me like that", I said to him. I turned to him and we sat on the couch as I explained my situation. I told him every thing I knew, about the old man, how I was able to wake up from the dead, and this night, this night the night I transformed on my own. It took him quite a while for him to come to his senses. But he did. "Terry you got to promise not to tell any one, not even your wife. Got it", I said in an orderly tone. "Yes but what about your boss Rick, I mean what are you going to tell him if you cant change back." "I think he already knows about me." We talked for a bit longer, until it got too late. I told him to take care, and he left. It took me two days to figure out how to change back to my original form, but finally I did.

I came back to work only to get my head nearly ripped off by Rick. "WHERE THE HELL HAVE YOU BEEN, ITS BEEN THREE DAYS." "Rick walk with me", I said to him. I led him down the corridor to the M.E.'s office, were we stopped at the newly polished wooden doors. "Why are we going to the coroners", he asked. "Did you guys find a body that was severed in half?" "Yah turned out he was the one who whacked most of our witnesses. Pretty gruesome sight now if you asked me", he said in a disappointed tone. We walked in, and headed towards the crypt. When we entered Rick walked over to drawer seventeen and opened it. Pulling the shelf out, where I saw the two remains of the man. "number 169, name is Harrison Megel. Hit man for the plaintiff. His last victim escaped, we found a list in his pocket that contained her name. She's being questioned right now, but..." Rick gave a loud sigh, "she's a loon. She keeps talking about some werewolf that saved her. Our shrink says she serious, and the lye detector says the same. Yah, seriously screwed up if you ask me", he said in joking tone." "She is serious", I regarded back in a harsh tone. "Oh great, not you too, what, were you there or something", he said in a mock tone. "Yah I was, I was the one that killed him", I said. "HA, that's pretty funny Chris...", but he stopped when he saw that I wasn't laughing. "Oh you are serious, aren't you", asked Rick. I sighed and walked over to him. "Follow me."

I lead him to the restroom and we entered. I took a look to see if anyone was in here besides us but found no one. Proceeding on, I locked the door behind us where Rick jumped and turned around with a start. "Chris what are you doing", Rick said in a questioning manor. "I'm showing you the truth", I answered. "The truth, what truth", he said. "This", I said as I took off my coat and shirt. I focused on wolves and the full moon, then felt the transformation begin again. It went much faster this time, and before I knew it I had transformed into a eight foot tall wolf once more. "OH MY GOD", Rick screamed, as he bolted for the door. But I stopped him, turning around to face me. "Rick its okay, its still me", I assured him. "Holy shit its true, werewolves do exist", he said in a terrified tone. "Yes it is, but we are not monsters. We protect the innocent", I was going to continue, when a bang on the door stopped me. A women's voice rang out from the other side. "Is everything alright in their." "Yah, just zipper trouble", Rick called out. "I hope whose in there is alright", said the lady. "Yah I'm fine now", he assured her. "Ok then", she said as she walked away.

I had shifted back to my human form at the time and started putting my cloths back on, when Rick interrupted me. "So wait you're the one who killed Megal and saved the witness", asked Rick. "Yes", I answered flatly. "Awe man this is some screwed up shit. So why did you kill him", asked Rick. "I had too. It was either kill him or let the girl die, and I couldn't letting that happen. I really didn't expect that my claws were that sharp, but as you saw they are", I answered. "Well no ones able to get the girl to talk why don't you give it a shot", said Rick. "I'll try", I said. We walked out of the bathroom and back to the station. We continued on he asking me all types of question, and my trying to answer them as best I could until we reached the interrogation with the girl. "Rick let me enter alone". I stayed silent as I sat down to face her. "Oh great another person to poke fun at me", she said in an annoyed tone. I didn't answer. "Well who the hell are you then", she said. "I wouldn't expect you to remember me, it's been at least two days since I rescued you. But I'm sure you only remember me as that eight foot tall, black furred, golden eyed wolf that carried you home to apartment six on Washington Street that night you were attacked", I said. "But I never told the detectives all that. I only told... no... it... it can't be... you're the werewolf, but you're a cop." "Hey we still protect off duty." She giggled at the comment. "I still don't believe you're the one who saved me", she said in a suspicious tone. I told her in great detail about the night I rescued her. Then when she finally believed me I brought up the issue of the murder that she witnessed, about several months back. She told me every thing, and when it was all over I had her escorted home.

After that ordeal I turned to Rick and asked him a rather serious question. "So Rick what will we tell the press." "I don't know what to say", he answered. "Just tell them the truth", I said. "A wild dog killed the man when he was walking through the street, how hard is that", I said. "What about the girl", he asked. "She doesn't exists", I answered. "Ok but this better not come back to bite me in the ass", said Rick. "It won't", I assured him. It was four in the morning when I left the station. Then when I went home that night I made up my mind about me being a werewolf. My decision was to save people during the day and save them and other weres during the night. From then on I was a detective by day, Dark Wolf by night. "Well that's my story."

"That was an interesting story", said Jonathon. "How long has it been since your wife was killed", asked Jonathon. "About five years ago", Chris answered. "So did you get over it", Jonathon asked. "Sort of, what about you john, how did you become a werewolf", Chris said trying to change the subject. "I met Trisha little over a year ago. We went out for about six months. On the last date we got a little carried away and before she knew it she was transforming. After I calmed her down, I told her my secrets and it went from there. Then I went on a perfectly normal flight and was struck down by some space debris. I awoke in the hospital to find Trisha next to me and I asked her to turn me. She did and I stepped down from a high position and stopped flying". "I see", said Chris in an interested.

Chris's stomach started to growl in a loud tone as he finished his sentence. "Oh excuse me", said Chris. "Are you hungry Chris", asked Jonathon. "Yah I hadn't had any thing all day but a cup of coffee", Chris answered. "Follow me, I know the perfect place we can eat. I'll see if Trisha can come to dinner as well", said Jonathon. He looked down at his watch, it read seven hundred hours. "Or maybe an early breakfast". "Any one still in the control room", Jonathon asked through his communicator. Amanda answered, "I'm here Jonathon". "Good, can you take Chris to the vacant room?" "I'll get right on it." Within five minutes Amanda arrived at Jonathon's office. "Ready Chris", she said. "Yah." The p.a. sounded just before they got to Chris's room. "Attention all personnel the sun will rise in ten minutes." "Oh my I have to get going see you in an hour." The door slid open with a hiss, to reveal the huge room. Chris's eyes grew wide. "Wow this place is huge", he thought to himself. As he entered the door to his right and stepped into the bathroom he was grossly surprised at how large even the bathrooms were. "Amazing even the bathroom is designed for werewolves", he said to himself. "God would a hot shower feel good right now, since I had to pull a triple shift and then those punks jumped me." He got undressed slowly still knotted up from the fight last night as he walked into the bath room when the phone rang. "Hello", said Chris. "Chris it's me." "Oh John its you. Hey can I have till nine to get ready." "Sure." "So what so you think about the place", asked Jonathon. "Well I can say one thing. If I stay any longer you're going to have to kill me to get me to leave." Jonathon laughed at the comment as he remembered all the weres that decided to stay at the base. "Well see you in an hour john", said Chris. "See yah." Chris hung up the receiver and walked back into the bathroom. "Know were was I. Ah yes time for nice hot shower." He thought turning on the water and waited for it to get warm. It felt great as the warm water undid his swore muscles and washed the grease and dirt from his fur. After what felt like forever he got out he grabbed a towel and began drying himself. When he was dry he grabbed his clothes and put them on. The cloths which have been quite filthy were now clean and pressed. "I wonder who did this. I'll have to thank them."

As soon as he finished tying his boots the doorbell rang. He opened it to find a Trisha standing outside. She seemed surprised from the sight of him. "What's wrong", Chris asked. "Your still in werewolf form, but that's impossible", said Trisha. "Oh sorry if I frightened you." "No, no I'm just never seen a werewolf be able to stay in his form, sunrise was half an hour ago. I'm sorry, I'm being intrusive, my name's Trisha. You probably know that I'm Jonathon's mate." "Yes", Chris answered flatly. "Well any way john asked me to meet you here and take you to Knights Peak." "Knights Peak", Chris questioned. "Yes that's where we're having breakfast. Here follow me", said Trisha. The walk to the elevator went by quickly for Chris. When they reached their destination, Trisha slid her key card through the panel, with a beep the light flashed green. But all of a sudden Chris felt something cold, a cold that got under his skin, and wrenched at his heart. And then a flash of what's to come past through his mind, and he knew what he had to do. Before the door opened Trisha turned around to face Chris. "Ready", she said. She started slowly stepping backward, unaware that the elevator was still at the top. With out thinking Chris lunged forward, and grabbed Trisha before she fell in, and slowly turned her around to see the pit where the elevator should have been. She gasped at the sight, and turned to Chris with a shaken look on her face. "You...you saved me". Then as soon as that was over her communicator activated as Jonathon's voice came on. "What's taking so long Hun", he asked. "The elevator is not working", she said with a shaky voice. "What's wrong", said Jonathon. "Well the doors opened but the elevator was still at the top. I almost fell in. If Chris wasn't here, I probably would have probably been killed". "Are you all right Hun..." Jonathon tried saying but was interrupted by another's voice that sounded in the background. "Sir I can't get down" said one of the ensign. "Trisha it looks like I stuck up here, one of the ensign who was just leaving, but he's still in the elevator trying to get down." "The doors won't close sir", the ensign said. "Well it looks like we're going to have to cancel breakfast", Jonathon said in a disappointed tone. "Well Chris I guess we're going to have to skip breakfast then", Trisha said. "I heard." "I'm sorry." "Don't be", Chris replied. "I can get us up there if you want to." "What do you mean", Trisha questioned. "Grab my hand", Chris said extending his hand. After Trisha grabbed his hand, Chris put his fingers to his head. "Ready, said Chris." "Wait, ready for what..." but before Trisha could finish her sentence, there was a bright flash, and they were in Knights Peak.

They reappeared right in front of Jonathon. "HOLY SHIT? What? Ok, what just happened? How did you get hear", Jonathon asked surprised, fascinated, and frightened all at the same time. "I used my mind warp to teleport us here", answered Chris. "What", Jonathon said puzzled. "It's a handy little technique I learned." "Does it work like our teleportation pads", Trisha asked. "No completely different. Instead of being transmitted to a location, my body and anyone in contact with me, warps at a high rate of speed to any location I concentrate on." "Like Warping", Jonathon asked. "Yes but multiply the speed of light by a one hundred. That's how fast I move when using it." "Amazing", Jonathon remarked. "But how could we pass through solid objects", Trisha asked. "You move so fast that your molecules breakdown, and that makes it possible to pass through anything." "Well any way since your both here why don't we order our food", said Jonathon still confused by what just happened. "Sounds like a good idea, but let me get the ensign down, wait where'd he go." "He probably teleported to one of the pads", said Trisha. "Well any way what will you have Hun", Jonathon said to Trisha. "I'll have the ham, cheese, and sausage omelet." "What about you Chris?" "I'll have the steak, and eggs with some green tea. Oh and can I have my steak rare, please." "Ok then", Jonathon replied. He walked over to a panel on the far side of the wall and placed the order. Within minutes there was a chime announcing the arrival of the food. Jonathon opened a hatch next to the panel and came back with a cart full of food. "That was fast", Chris said. "Here's you omelet, Trisha. Your steak and eggs Chris", Jonathon said as he placed the food on the table.

They began eating their breakfast when Jonathon broke the silence. "So Chris why did stay in your wolf form?" "Well... I'm just more comfortable, if you know what I mean", Chris replied. "Yah", said Jonathon. "What made you join the force", Trisha asked. "I wanted to protect people, but..." Chris paused for a second, "but I learned that it doesn't matter if someone did something or not. Our justice system can swing both ways depending on how much money, fame or background someone has. It makes me sick, but that how life is." "Well we could use someone with your experience Chris, that is if you want to join us," Jonathon asked. "You could help us bring were killers to justice", said Trisha. "I'll think about it", answered Chris. They finished their meal a while later, Chris excused himself as he got up to gawk at the view. "This view is outstanding", he thought to himself. "It's a great view", said Jonathon . A beep came from Jonathon communicator. Alex's voice boomed out of the watch. "Jonathon we have a problem." "Go on Alex." "The elevator won't be fixed for another three hours. Its noon so it'll be done by fifteen hundred". "Well that's ok Chris is here and we could use the conversation time to see what's going on in the world." "Ok, well I get back to you if something else comes up", said Alex. "Thanks Alex", Jonathon replied. "Well we can either stay here for three hours or get back to work", Jonathon said with a smirk on his face. "Well if you two want to get back to work I can easily transport you back down." Lets stay its not often we get to talk to such an interesting individual", said Trisha.

For the three hours they were there they discussed law, family, traditions, what they liked, disliked, and their careers. They enjoyed each others company. But it all changed abruptly when Trisha brought up the question of how Chris became a werewolf. "Trisha maybe you should change the subject", Jonathon said as he nudged her with his foot. "No, its ok john I think its time I talk about it", said Chris. Chris told her every thing that he told john. The old man who changed him, the walk he and Sora took right before the murder, waking up in the crypt the next day, the news broadcast, the day he transformed, everything. "I'm, sorry if I dug up buried memories", said Trisha. "Don't be I'm glad getting it off my chest", Chris said while sighing in relief.

Just then the elevator chimed. A broad smirk came on Jonathon face. "Well Chris, how about you show us you abilities, that is if its okay with you", he asked. "Sure I still don't trust that elevator", Chris replied. "Here grab my hands", said Chris. They grabbed his hands Jonathon still puzzled at how he can do this. "Everyone Ready? Ok here we go", said Chris in loud and eager tone. With a bright flash they teleported straight to Jonathon quarters. "Wa... what just happened Jonathon asked?" "We've teleported to your quarters." Chris answered. "It happened so fast. I didn't even feel it." "What do you mean", asked Chris. "Well when we use our transporters we feel like we're floating for a moment, before we reach our destination." "Maybe because you dematerialize and rematerialize when you using that method." "That could be a possibility", said Trisha. "Well I'm sure you could use some rest Chris, you been up for about two days now, I'm surprised your not exhausted", Trisha said in a worried manner. "I'm used to never sleeping, comes with the job, but some rest would be nice. Wake me if any thing comes up ok." "Ok, I will then", said Jonathon. Chris walked up to the door and it opened with a hiss.

As he was walking back down to his room he thought about Jonathon offer. "I could actually be the hero I always wanted to be, no more hiding who I am. No more watching the perps walk free on a technicality." His mind buzzed with these thoughts so much that he actually walked by his room without even knowing it. When he realized he had passed his room he tried looking for it again. After a half hour of walking back and forth he gave up and focused on his room, and in an instant he was back there. He was so comfortable at the base that he forgot that he had still been in his werewolf form and it made him jump when he saw himself in the mirror. "I think its time to show them what I really look like." He said to himself. Slowly he turned back into his human form the hair retreating back, his muzzle flattening, and his sharp teeth dulling out. He cracked his neck to relieve the tension in it as it reformed. He was still very tall, but the black head fur was replaced with his golden blonde hair, and his sharp golden eyes were now an icy blue. The transformation made even him wearier and he laid on the bead for what he fought seemed like a minute but it turned out to be several hours.

A loud frantic bang on the door woke him. "That's strange they have buzzers", he thought to himself. He slowly staggered to his feet and opened the door. A tall grey wolf was standing in front of him panting, as if he ran a marathon. It was Jeffery and from the look on his face some thing awful had happened. "Are you Chris Wolf", he panted. "Yes what happened." "Something happened to Jonathon, Alex, and Trisha." Chris's eyes went wide. "WHAT HAPPENED!!!" "A young were-tiger was being chased by a group of ten. I was at base one at the time so Jonathon, Alex, and Trisha took the liberty of helping him. Well the ten man crew became twenty and they captured them. But that's not the worst of it the tiger is the ring leader. The whole thing was a setup." "Why didn't they use the teleport system", asked Chris. "The stun guns they used on them must have short circuited the communicators. We still have their signal but we can't communicate with them or transport them back here." "Meet me in the command center", Chris barked.

In a flash Chris was in the command center right behind the desk were Amanda was sitting. Brief me, he demanded to Amanda. She jumped unaware of his presence. "You're Chris", she said still shaken by his presence. "Yes", he answered "Ok, well Alex, Jonathon, Trisha were Ambushed about thirty minutes ago they were taking to some under ground facility in the Bronx of New York. The entrance was through this shop. She brought up a screen that showed the building." "I know this building. It was once used for drug trafficking and storage, said Chris. A tip and a good hunch of mine let us made the bust, but I thought it was abandoned after that, explained Chris. I already know the building's layout, the best way through is to go down in to the storm drain and follow the sewer system. That will lead us to a trap door. We can use the element of surprise to sneak in and rescue our friends. Amanda, call every one in the station too this room." "What do you have in mind Chris?" "Something." He answered.

Amanda got on the p.a. system almost instantly. "All personal we have an emergency, our caption, Trisha, and Alex was captured during a rescue. We need all the help we can get", she said as her voice boomed over the entire base. Carmen walked in from the transporter room, "what's going on", he exclaimed. "I already announced it, now prep the pads for mass transport", Amanda started to order, but Chris stopped her. "Carmen help bring all the weapons from the armory". Chris ordered. He looked to Amanda for the ok. She nodded. Amanda turned and gave Chris a puzzled look. "How are you going to transport them?" "Just trust me Amanda; I know what I'm doing," Chris assured her. Within minutes all personal were their, were and human. "Amanda pull up the blueprints of the facility", Chris ordered. The large screen flashed on a three dimensional picture of blueprints to a warehouse. "Ok men and women I'm glad you all showed up, but I need to ask a few questions first". Chris continued. "Any one who has worked in the military, the force, or as a firefighter raise your hands." Three fourths of the crowed raised their hands. "Good. Any one who is skilled in using a gun, raise your hands." All of them raised their hands. "Great I'll begin then. We have a huge problem here. As you've heard Jonathon, Trisha, and Alex were captured during a rescue. Well from new in-tell we've got it turned out to have been a setup. The culprit, was our own race." The crowed went completely dead silent. "From the signals of their communicators we've located the three. They are being held captive in an underground facility near an old burned out ware house. I'm positive they're being held in one of these three rooms, or worse the warehouse itself, and that makes this operation very difficult. We'll enter here, explained Chris. Amanda zoomed in on the storm drain entrance. This sewer leads to this trap door. That is our point of entry. Stealth is the tactic here. We don't need this rescue mission to turn into a hostage takeover. Do I make myself clear", he shouted. The crowed shouted back, "SIR YES SIR". Turning his attention back to the crowed Chris pointed to sewer entrance that led in to a room that separated four halls ways in the facility. "Now since our goal is to be silent and swift we can only take a few of you into the base. The rest will wait on the surface or here for further instruction. I need the very best to step forward", Chris ordered. Out of the hundreds only four stepped forward. One of them was Jeffery, another was Wayne, Daren, and Karl. "Amanda we'll need Intel on enemy movement when we arrive", said Chris. "Ok Chris", she answered. Chris started walking towards the crowed; they parted to form a path. He walked over to the weapon cases and opened two. Strapping on two harnesses he filled the six holsters with the two large pulse guns, two smg's, one pistol, and an ion blade. He held up one pulse gun and turned it on. Let's show these mother fuckers what were made of, Chris barked out. "The crowed gave a huge cheer."

After every one was equipped with the necessary weapons Chris silenced them down by making a loud whistle. His eyes changed color to gold. And then black fur sprouted from his body, his cloths stretched and reformed with his transforming body. He stood a black werewolf once again, as the crowd grew completely silent. Carmen prep the pads! All of them. Prepare to transport as many as you can. He turned to the small team he assembled. I need you to grab hands. They all grabbed each others hands, lowered their heads, and began saying their hail Maries. What is this, Chris demanded. Were praying, Wayne answered. Chris growled. No I do need you to hold hands so I can teleport us to the facility. He grabbed Daren's and Jeffery's hand and a bright sphere surrounded them. Here we go, said Chris. A bright flash marked their reappearance in the sewer. I don't know how you did that, and I'm not going to ask, said Jeffery. Chris only chuckled at the comment. They walked over to the door and crouched down next to it. Amanda, give me some Intel, said Chris You have one hostile right under your feet, he's heavily armed so be careful. Chris took a rope and fastened it to his harness. Karl take the rope, and lower me slowly in to the room. Slowly, ordered Chris. Karl nodded. Chris opened the hatch ever so slowly not to sound their location. Ready, Karl whispered. Ready, Chris answered. Before climbing into the door, Chris looked down to see that the guard was not paying any attention to his surroundings. Perfect, Chris mumbled to himself. Wrapping the rope around his leg, he was quietly inched down behind the guard, still upside down as Karl lowered him more. He was now within arms reach of the man and took full advantage of that. Tapping tightly on the man's shoulder, the guard turned around with a start. What the f..., But that was the last image he would see, as Chris lifted him up and snapped his neck with a loud crunch. After that he laid his lifeless body on the cold concrete ground, trying to make to much noise.

He unlatched him self and signaled the other to come down. They noticed that there were four doors that led from the room, and each had a number scratched in to it. Chris turned to the team with an unsatisfied look on his face. We're going to have to split up from here. Karl, Daren take the third door, Jeffery take the second, and Wayne take the fourth d. I'll take the first door. LET'S MOVE. Leaving the room, Chris took a close look to see if any one was in the halls. The others followed suit. No one, good. Chris exited the room silently closing the door behind him not to leave any traces of his presence. Amanda came on his earpiece, Chris multiple hostiles to your right, about eight targets. I suggest you find a way to evade them. Shit, he said under his breath. Taking a quick look to his left he noticed the hall opened into a large storage room. I, remember this, he thought. The support beams should provide cover if anything happens. He could smell the humans now and knew they were getting close. So he ran into the opened space, hid behind one of the pillars and waited. Taking a look he saw the men enter the room he and the others just left. Here we go he thought to himself. With his highly sensitive ears, he heard one of the guards yell. We have intruders. The door flew opened and he heard the guards nearing his location. The men stopped when they reached the open room. Do you think he went this way sir? One of the men asked. Maybe let's search the room. It went silent, for a moment until Chris pulled out his two smg's and cocked them.

The loud click filled the room, and the men froze. WHO'S THERE? One of them shouted. Chris made a low growling sound to scare the men even more. This time the same man answered back, but in a shaky tone. Who...'s the... their. It was do or die. Chris's suddenly lunged away from the pillar pulling the triggers, firing into the group. Two of the men dropped instantly. At that, Chris landed to the ground and rolled to the nest pillar. The room grew silent once more. Now that the guards were standing in the middle of the room, Chris could use whatever means necessary to kill them, and he did. He rushed past the man in the back using his claws to scratch the man. He screamed in fear as the other jumped and turned to face him. Some thing jus... but his words were to late as Chris dashed past the man again but this time not to scare but to kill. With his newly acquired ion blade he sliced through the man with ease, and then disappeared in the room. His agility was so great that the only thing the men saw was a black blur that move past their fellow team member. The guard dropped to his knees, were he finally, spilt in half. Blood streamed out onto the floor creating a pool around him. WHAT THE FUCK, one of the men screamed? But that was that man's last words as Chris swept past again taking the guard's head clean off. The remaining four pointed their weapons in all direction and started firing.

The room filled with the dust from the shattering concrete. They kept firing in fear until they ran dry of ammo. And as soon as they did Chris took to the offence. He ran toward one of the men and fired his smg's at him, dropping the man instantly. He gunned down another, and threw the guns away as he ran out of ammo. One of the men saw this and thought opportunity but he was poorly mistaken. He pulled out his knife and charged towards Chris. Chris easily side stepped the man, and disarmed him without difficulty, and returned the favor by impaling him in the stomach with the guards own knife. Then grabbing the man's arm he inverted his elbow, and gave him a swift uppercut to the jaw. The man went flying into the ceiling. His head smashed into it and shattered as his limp body fell back down to the floor. Only one left, Chris said to himself. He voiced an earth shattering roar, terrifying the man. Then he dashed around the room, like an animated shadow. The guard reloaded his assault rifle. Screaming he fired at whatever moved. The dust picked back up and the room fogged over. When he ran out of steel, Chris made his move. Walking slowly towards the man, he made a low growl. In a desperate attempt the guard tried to get in a punch, but Chris's blinding speed made him hit only air. He grabbed the man by the back of his vest and hurled him into the wall. With a loud thud the man hit it hard enough to crack it, and left an impression. He peeled off the now carked wall and fell to the floor. Slowly he staggered to his feet, still disorientated from the impact. The large wolf walked ever so slowly towards him, like death, ready to take its next soul. The man, frightened, worked the last of his strength to get at least one hit in. But it was of no consequence. Chris gave him a hard uppercut to his gut. The fist almost impaled the man on impact. It stretched his back, breaking the bones and snapping the spine. His face only showed the expression of intense pain as death enveloped him. Chris held him up on his fist until he felt the life drain out of his body, and then he then threw his limp carcass to the ground, making it bounce off the cold concrete. An eight man crew against me, that's fucking insulting, he said to himself.

Now that he was warmed up it was time to find that tiger and make him pay for kidnapping his friends. The impression of the last guard left a small hole in the wall and Chris took full advantage of that. Reaching back his fist he trusted forward making it bust open, and crumble. There was a huge hallway that, the other hallways connected to. He crawled over the rubble and into it. Chris, more bogies on there way, Amanda barked out through the earpiece. He saw five more guards charging toward him. They raised their weapons, firing at the wolf. Fools, Chris said. The bullets were not even close to being fast to Chris. Dodging each one he came to the first guard. Giving him a right cross to his head. The blow sent him spiraling to the ground. The next tried to get in a kick, Chris saw that coming. He took the guard by his leg and smashed him into the wall to his right. Another one had a shock stick and started swinging it at Chris. Chris ducked easily. The guard swung once more, Chris switched on his ion blade and sliced the rod and the guard holding it in half After the halves separated, and flopped to the ground, Chris felt something hit his shoulder and looked down to see what it was. It was a stun gun, spike, looking at it he chuckled out loud. The guard looked terrified as he saw that the device had no effect on the large wolf. Chris pulled it out of his shoulder and threw it back at the guard penetrating the man in his eye. He flopped to the ground, twitching violently. Chris walked towards the last guard who was holding an a.k. forty seven. The guard gave a quick look at the wolf. Trembling he said, I... I... no disrespect man and um... well... bye..., the guard said as he took off running. Chris took to his feet and dashed right in front of him. Then he grabbed the gun the man was holding and flipped the butt against the guard's jaw giving out a loud set of crunches indicating that the man neck was now broken.

As he entered another hallway he saw two guards walking towards him, not even paying attention to their surroundings, and talking about nothing of any importance. So engaged in conversation that they didn't notice the bodies or the eight foot tall wolf until they walked into him. Falling to the floor one of them spoke up in an angry tone. Hey don't know to move out of the way when som...he stopped when he realized who he was talking too. HOLY SHIT, he screamed. The other already passed out in fear. Chris lowered his head to meet the guards, showing his teeth, and growling in a thunderst tone, that was all it took. The guard gave a quick smile and then passed out. Chris tapped his communicator to get Jeffery. A loud painful scream of a guard followed by the roar of a cat echoed through the hallways. Well looks like some one ran into Karl and Daren, chris chuckled. He tapped his communicator to contact Jeffery on his location. Jeffery what's your location. I don't know Chris but I have Trisha, and Alex. Their pretty banged up b... it went silent. Jeffery? Jeffery come in. Shit, he yelled. He tried to contact the others but got nothing. Wayne, Darren, Karl do you read me. Damn it, Chris screamed in an angry tone. Just then he felt something grab his shoulder he turned around to see what it was. Right then a fist met up with his head.

Chris woke, and slowly opened his eyes. It took a minute for his blurred vision to clear, but when it did he found himself in a huge room, his hands and feet chained to the ground. It looked like the above ground warehouse. The room consisted of steel pillars that supported the steel roof about fifty feet up, but besides that; it was empty, as florescent lights dimly lit the room. Looking around he saw his six friends on the hard concrete floor chained down like they were some type of vicious animals. Jonathon are you ok. Chris called out. Chr...Chris is that you, he answered. Yah It's me. Chris answered. No he go...t you too. Chris you have to g...et out, he's not a normal were. He's got str...strength ... ... the like's of you have never seen before. A voice cut in. So you're the infamous dark wolf, a dark figure said. Chris slowly got to his feet. But the chains restricted his movement. He jerked, but they wouldn't give. Yes, who's asking? The figure stepped out of the shadows, revealing himself. I am, the were tiger answered. He looked just as tall as Chris, and just as strong. He was wearing a black swat coat with black jeans. His fur was a bright orange with black stripes on the backs of his exposed arms and head. His neck was a grayish white, as too was the inside of his arms. The tiger continued, I am Scowl, he chuckled. Its time you meet your maker, dark wolf. Ha, I find it humorous that you compare you self with me, Chris snapped back. I don't need to compare my self to you. Your strength doesn't even belong in the same rank as mine, scowl said with a snicker. He then punched Chris in his stomach, with such a force that it made him double over on to his knees. He yipped in pain. But that wasn't the extent of his torture. He then kicked Chris in the jaw sending him upward, but the chains snapped him back to the ground. God, doesn't this bring back memories, Scowl chuckled. You lying there just as helpless as before when your loved one was killed, and there was nothing you could do to stop it. It wasn't that man on the news that killed your wife. Scowl crouched down and whispered into Chris's ear. It was me. Sor...a Chris mumbled out. A flash back of the day his beloved wife was killed replayed in Chris's mind. CHRIIIIIIS. *BANG*. SORA. Speak to me. SORA. Sora, NOOOOOOOOO. Sora, Chris mumbled. Then he saw his wife flash in front of his eyes. Sora your ok, Chris said overjoyed.

He looked around to find himself to be in a white void. What is this place? Yes, I'm fine now. This place is your inner soul. I may be gone from your world, but I will never be truly dead, Chris there isn't much time you must listen to me, said Sora. There's a power in you that you haven't discovered. It is the real you. A dark figure appeared from the distance. As they walked up to it, it appeared to be surrounded by a dark colored mist that swirled around it. When Chris got close enough to see what it was he gasped. That's me, he claimed, but in werewolf form. Why am I a golden color? He asked. That is what the true dark wolf really looks like, Sora explained. Why do I appear to be asleep, Chris asked. You haven't awakened him yet. Please don't, a voice called from off into the distance. THAT'S JONATHON, Chris said. You must hurry Chris; awaken the dark wolf inside your heart. And how do I do that, Chris asked. Just let go of your anger. Let it take control. As soon as she said that, the white started to disappear. Wait don't leave me. SORA. I'll always be in you heart Chris. Remember this, and what I told you. He came back into reality to see the large cat with his is paw foot on Jonathon's neck. Chris got up from the ground anger burning inside him. Snapping off the chains he began walking towards the cat. Scowl turned around with a surprised look on his face. Taking his foot off of Jonathon's neck, he turned to face Chris. How in the hell did you do that? Chris didn't answer. I can no longer stand to see you hurt anyone any more, fiend, Chris said in hatred. How dare you call me that, Scowl yelled. You'll pay for that, he screamed. Charging towards Chris he leapt from the ground flying at him. Chris saw this, and transmitted right before he was hit. He reappeared right behind the surprised cat. Before Scowl could react, the wolf balled up his fists and returned the favor with a spinning backhand. The cat bounced helplessly off the floor and into one of the steel pillars, making a loud gong, and causing it to bend unmercifully. He slowly stood up and was sent back into a world of hurt, when Chris charged at full speed, elbowing Scowl in the gut. He was hit with such a force that he was almost sent through the steel wall. He climbed out of his impression, laughing as he did so. Chris was mortified at the sight, how can this be? I put all my strength into that punch, Chris said in his mind. Is that it? Is that the extent of you powers, Scowl laughed. Its time you seen what real power is like. With a bright flash he transformed in to a pure white tiger. Iridescent blue sparks danced over the cat's fur and clothing. A smirk bordered his face as he dashed towards Chris giving him a high kick that sent him into the steel ceiling. He bounced off of it, but Scowl wasn't finished yet. He lunged up towards Chris and gave him an uppercut, which sent Chris bouncing like a pinball, off of all the beams and pillars. As Chris fell back to the ground, Scowl lunged back at him. When he made contact, he grabbed a hold of Chris body slammed him the full thirty feet to the ground, with a loud boom. The force of the impact was so great that it formed a small creator and the shock waves cracked the hard floor all around them. Scowl jumped off of Chris and slowly walked towards him. This is true power, he said with a smirk. How dose it feel, he said turning Chris over on his back. There is no point in continuing this fight, you're going to fail the only loved ones you have left, and when that happens I kill them right be fore your eyes. Just like I did to your wife, said Scowl. Fu...ck yo...u, Chris manage to say. The cat's smirk changed to a frown, as he picked up Chris and threw him though one of the steel and concrete walls. Broken, bruised, and bloody he laid their, twitching in pain in the cold street outside the warehouse.

I have failed, he said to himself as a tear ran down his muzzle. You still have the power Chris, Sora's voice called out. So...ra, Chris tried to say. Remember Chris, she said. He closed his eyes and remembering everything from that night. Then all of a sudden a slight burst of energy grew inside him. It was just enough to help him get up. So he picked himself up, and walked through the hole, back in to the room. Now it was the cat's turn to be surprised. He almost choked when he saw Chris climb back into the room. How can this be, he shouted. It...it doesn't matter I'll kill you just the same, he said in an angered tone at Chris. Only angered was displayed on Chris's face. Take this wolf, Scowl said as he dashed towards Chris, jabbing him in the stomach. Chris hunched over the fist, as the cat smirked. Then felt another burst of energy hit him. A pulse wave emitted from Chris that sent Scowl flying to the opposite end of the room, and shattering the wall behind him. He remembered the words of his wife. Just let it take control. And that's exactly what he did. He stood strait up, back arched backward, with his fists to his sides. The last burst hit him, but he held onto it, charging himself with anger. He started screaming in anger, as a dark energy field surrounded him. The ground around him began to crack, as the energy field grew stronger, enveloping him in it. A flash of anger flooded Chris's mind and he channeled into it. His fur stood on end as it flashed yellow, then to a bright gold. His sharp golden eyes change pigment back to the icy blue they once were change was complete Chris was now the real dark wolf.

The tiger slowly stood up, HOW CAN THIS BE, he yelled. Take this, as he charged forward to punch Chris. Chris snatched the incoming fist, hoisting the tiger into the air he fell back down to the ground with a loud thud. Staggering to his feet Scowl looked around for Chris, but he couldn't find him. Then from out of nowhere Chris appeared right in front of him, giving a swift punch, the cat was sent air born. He used his new found speed to dash himself right behind the cat, burying his fist in Scowl's back, and sending him plummeting back to the ground. Chirs dashed back to the floor waiting for Scowl body. And as soon as he was about to hit the ground, Chris rushed under him, spiking his knee into the cats stomach. Pain was the only emotion the cat could express, as he made contact with it, causing him cough up blood. Chris rolled him off his knee and left him on the floor, doubled over, rolling, and moaning in intense pain. Chris jumped back, to let the cat rise to his feet. While he began to charge up again, causing his energy to tripled from last time he did. Rising slowly to his feet Scowl screamed, YOU WILL DIE!!! He rushed at Chris extending his fist to strike the wolf, but Chris saw this coming, and easily caught the punch once agian. He picked the cat up and threw him hard into one of the steel pillars, sending Scowl to crash through it. He landed near Jonathon and Trisha, who were still chained to the pillar. He got up slowly and pulled out a gun, holding it to Trisha's head. IF I CAN'T KILL YOU THEN I"LL KILL THEM, yelled Scowl. When Chris saw this he froze. All of a sudden the world slowed down, slowed to a point until every thing had stopped. He was awestruck by what happened but he snapped back to reality when he heard the a loud extended click of the gun Scowl was holding. With that, Chris dashed forward with all his might, extending his claws. He moved with such a speed, that the path form which he was traveling began to explode upward from behind him. He lashed out and struck the cat in the abdomen. The eyes of the tiger that held so much anger and hatred now held nothing as they became pale and glazed over. He stood trembling, until he finally collapsed, falling to the ground where he separated into to halves.

Chris gave sigh of relief as he thought it was all over now, but before he could savor his victory, a loud series of bangs and clanks shortly followed. The pillar where Scowl laid dead shifted and separated from also being slashed in half. He looked up to see the roof was beginning to buckle. Another one of the pillars buckled. With a loud clank a rod was hurled towards Jonathon, and Trisha. With out thinking he dashed in front of it. Jonathon, now fully conscious saw the pole impale his friend. Chris took a step back, flinching from the pain, but he knew that there was one more thing he had to do. Breaking the chains that bound his friends he gathered the seven in his arms and teleported back to the ASL head quarters. He collapsed over then, shifting back down to his human form. The world around him went dark; the only thing he heard was Jonathon's voice screaming. WE NEED A MEDIC.

Chris awoke in a hospital bed. He looked around the room to see flowers, chocolates, and cards lace the room. He looked around to also see Jonathon sleeping in a chair at the corner of the room. Trying not to wake him he sat up, and stretched, but he didn't succeed. Jonathon eyes shot open. A huge smile bordered his face, you ok, he asked Chris in a worried tone. I'm fine, answered Chris. Remember I heal twice as fast as a normal werewolf. We saw that in the E.R., every incision they made they had to clap open do it wouldn't heal, said Jonathon. As soon as they pulled that pole out of you the wound began to heal itself almost instantly. But that's not what I'm asking about. What do you mean, questioned Chris. I saw the whole fight, and saw how you took all the blows from that tiger. But you still got back up. Then I saw you transform into that golden werewolf, and watched as you saved Trisha, as well as slashing the tiger and the pillar it was by in half. I could fell the energy streaming out of you. But when you placed yourself in front of that incoming rod for me and Trisha, I felt your energy decrease drastically. You teleported us back here, but as soon as we arrived you collapsed. I called for the medics and we rushed you to the E.R. I knew that your body could take the punishment, I didn't know if your mind could. What you did took a lot of mental strength, not just physical. The whole staff visited you and sent you something, but Trisha, Jeffery, and I were the most affected. Trisha thought you would never come too, but I reassured her that you would. How long have I been in here, Chris asked. About a week so far, Jonathon replied. Chris slowly got out of the bead, and extended his hand to Jonathon, I think I'll take your offer. I would be honored to be a Dark Knight. Jonathon beamed at what Chris just told him. YOU WILL. Chris nodded in response. I love that I can be what I really am in here, instead of hiding what I am. I just feel like I belong in this place. Jonathon nodded in response, and shook Chris's hand. I'll be right back, I'll go, and get your cloths from your room.

A minute later Trisha walked in holding his cloths. Tears of joy streamed down her cheeks when she saw him. I'm so glad your ok, she cried. We thought you'd never wake. What happened to John, Chris asked. He went to the consol to get a meeting started, she said wiping a tear from her eye. Trisha handed over his cloths, here take these, she said. He looked at his jacket to see that it was re-mended, and a symbol was embedded on the left shoulder. He smiled at her. I had the outfitter repaired your jacket. You looked like you belonged here. So we redesigned the jacket to be able to holster all the types of weapons that we use here. Just in case you wanted to stay. I also had the outfitter sew the Dark Knight insignia on it, she said with a smile. You knew I was going to stay, didn't you, Chris ask. Yah I did, Trisha answered. Just then the door opened, and Jonathon stepped in. He was wearing a black uniform, with a black hat under his arm. Who died, Chris chuckled. Jonathon laughed in response, you ready. Trisha nodded. Ready for what Chris asked. For your medals, Jonathon answered. Give me a minute to get my cloths on, freshen up. You don't want me to go out there with these garments on. Chris teleported himself to his room where he got dressed, put on some cologne, and spiked his hair back. Then he teleported back to the hospital room, where Jonathon and Trisha were waiting. Ready, Jonathon asked. Yah lets go. The three walked out, to the huge sea of black uniforms out side. All went silent, as a path, for the trio was created. Chris looked around and was shocked to see so many had come to the ceremony. They walked through the crowed in silence to the council room doors. The doors were a polished dark wood like oak, or maple, from what Chris could tell. Chris stopped at the doors, waiting for Jonathon to enter them, but he insisted that Chris went first. He smirked as he focused some of his energy on the door, making it swing open.

The room was quite large, almost the size of an auditorium. He noticed that Jeffery and Alex had already taking their seats behind the large wooden desk. Jonathon followed suit and met the two up there, taking his seat next to Alex. They all waited for the room to fill. There were still a lot of people with out a seat as they too crowded the edges of the room. When all arrived, the meeting began. Jonathon began. Chris Wolf ... Jonathon, Alex, and Jeffery left their seats and walked over to Chris. Jonathon continued, by using your tactical experience, you were able to assemble a team to perform a search and rescue. When your team got captured you stood your ground and pulled off the rescue on your own. You put the life of others, before your own, when you had to defeat the were tiger, and when you shielded me from an incoming projectile. The rescue of Alex Gerlton, Trisha Ford, and I, was a complete success thanks to you, as well as the rescue of your teammates that were captured during the mission. None have been so brave to do what you did back there. So with high honor, we present you with the purple heart, and the ceremonial cross. Alex opened the case to reveal the shining badges. Jeffery lifted them from the case, and pinned the to Chris's black trench coat. We also have an offer for you, Jonathon continued. Too become the Dark Knight's field tactics leader. You'll be in charge of all search and rescue missions, as well as what they do when they are sent to a location to protect an innocent. Will you except? Well I just have one thing to say before I do, Chris turned to the crowed with a smirk on his face, I thought this was a celebration, not a funeral, where's the noise? Trisha stood up and started clapping, soon Erin did the same, then Wayne. In seconds the room was filled with cheers and thunderous applause, screams, and whistling. Jeffery looked at Chris and gave a loud "OOH RA" before laughing, Alex looked to Jonathon before joining the crowed in their praise, Trisha, and Erin squeezed through the masses and jumped into their men's arms. Then Darren and Karl joined Alex and Wayne in the center of the room, where they rushed Chris, hoisting him into the air. Chris was elated with all the excitement. For once he felt that he belonged somewhere.

Out of the way move it. All of a sudden Amanda ran full stream into the room. Panting she gave Jonathon her palm pilot. Jonathon silenced the crowed with a wave of his hand. The crowed put Chris down, as he walked over to Jonathon. Amanda how old is this transmission, Jonathon asked. About twenty seconds, she said still out of breath. Jonathon turned to Chris, well Chris, are ready for your first real assignment. And with that a smirked bordered Chris's face.

End Transmission...
