Silly little thing I came up with while I was bumming around in the woods. This song helped give more form to my idea. Hope you enjoy.
Oh, who is he?
Strangely familiar
But foggy, like distant memories.
A mirrored reflection,
A face full of longing: expectation;
As if to speak his woes to me.
A face so familiar
That it is almost peculiar;
A voice calling out to me.
Through times I leapt,
Seeking your company
Like an embrace of no recipient; eternally.
Warm, like a candle's flame
Stood your presence;
Tranquil and serene.
Young man of no loving memory,
Please, return to me
So I may breathe warmth into thee.
Porcelain man,
Outstretch your delicate hand
So I may feel you again.
Familiar face of a life long gone,
Please, look toward me
So I may once again find comfort within you.
My lover of times long forgotten
Allow me to be close to you again;
Just this one last time
Please, my Love,
Allow me to caress your face one last time,
Before I let you free.
May fortune find you well
My darling dove;
For you deserve the love of eternity.
