Mowgli remembered that one day he met a snake charmer, and he had taught him to play a melody that can hypnotize any snake. Fortunately Mowgli had a good memory, and remembered all the songs he had to learn when he was a child.

Mowgli decided: he would go into the jungle and, playing the flute, he hypnotized Kaa. He laughed thinking of the serpent: it would have been fun to see hypnotized the python that, years ago, had hypnotized him twice. Mowgli sat on the bed and began to think about what he could do once he had hypnotized Kaa. The initial idea was to order him to disappear forever from the jungle, but Mowgli also thought that, on an occasion like that, he could have fun with the snake: it would have been nice to have a rematch on the python, because of too many nightmares.

The boy looked out the window and saw that the sun had just risen. The people of the village began to go out of the house was beginning another day of work.

Mowgli picked up the flute and, being careful to not be seen by anyone, walked out of the village and ventured alone in the jungle. The boy walked for half an hour in the jungle, not encountering any animal. Mowgli, tired of searching, sat down on the grass, leaning his back against a tree.

Mowgli was imagining his encounter with Kaa: initially he thought to call him to address it, but he was afraid that the snake could hypnotize him as soon as he appeared in front of the boy. Mowgli shook his head: he had to avoid giving him a chance to attack. Although Mowgli was determined to win, all this conviction did not help to resist at the hypnosis.

The boy decided: he would walk in the jungle, trying to hide at the sight of the snake. As soon as he saw the snake, he immediately started to play the flute, seizing the python surprise.

Believing that this was the best plan to achieve, Mowgli was attacked by another doubt: the melody would really work?

When he was a child he had only learned to play it, but he never had the chance to try its effect on a snake. Mowgli was worried: if the melody had not had any effect on the snake? If the snake charmer had teased him that day? What would have happened?

The boy had a shiver down his spine: if he failed to hypnotize Kaa, he could be regarded as already dead. Worse was to be Mowgli went from Kaa, then it would have been a suicide.

These doubts did worry Mowgli, who he was now feared about not even remember the melody enchantress. The only thing to do was try to play the flute to prepare for combat.

After looking around and being sure to be alone, Mowgli sat down on the grass, with his back against the tree, and began to play the flute.

Hypnotizing the wrong snake (part 3)

The sound coming from the flute was sweet and relaxing. In that area of the jungle you could hear only the sweet melody: that melody could hypnotize any snake. When he had finished the performance, Mowgli smiled: he hated to admit it, but he was happy...
