Is there no dream lovelier from bypast?

Does any memory compare as pure?

To gaze upon a garden unsurpassed

At its center, a golden jackal fur.

As dew drops glisten over lily stems

Slender paws snip and prune under moonlight.

Her gaze is rapt; eyes like glittering gems

But not for me; perhaps the cruelest bite.

Her form is tight; her bosom supple still

Her muzzle bunched with concentration stern.

The night is endless, moon entrenched by will

And yet a flower I am not; I yearn.

To feel her paws soft, tending gardens mine

Alas I wait, forlorn, forever pine.
