Paying for the Past

By Carl Blessing/Murphy Slaugh

Yes we know that way back then

A terrible mistake was made.

By it's been corrected since then,

So why is the price still needing to be paid?

He suffered enough, but he's still in pain,

Why can't he be left alone?

The scar of his errors have left their stain,

There's no more need for him to atone.

Chorus:

He's sacrificing his future,

His life is going fast.

To settle his bill,

He's paying for the past.

He really doesn't have

Very long to live.

He's done all he could do,

And given all he can to give.

He's paying for the past.

Can't you see the tears

In his family's eyes?

Can't you understand their fears,

And feel their heart's cries?

He's all spent out, he's wearing thin,

He finally done.

All his battles have been fought,

All his wars have been won.

He's sacrificing his future,

His life is going fast.

To settle his bill,

He's paying for the past.

He really doesn't have

Very long to live

He's done all he could do,

And given all he can to give.

He's paying for the past.

Bridge:

We can no longer protect him, We just can't pay his bill.

We're sick and tired of what you've done, we've all had our fill.

He's sacrificing his future,

His life is going fast.

To settle his bill,

He's paying for the past.

He really doesn't have

Very long to live

He's done all he could do,

And given all he can to give.

He's paying for the past.

He's sacrificing his future,

His life is going fast.

To settle his bill,

He's paying for the past.

He really doesn't have

Very long to live

He's done all he could do,

And given all he can to give.

He's paying for the past.

He's paying for the past

I'll Be Your Friend

I'll Be Your Friend By Carl Blessing/Murphy Slaugh Are you feeling sad and lonely? Do you want to rant and rave? Part of you wants to cry, Part of you wants to be brave. You feel like you're all alone, You feel you're world's come to an end....

Hiding

HIDING By Carl Blessing/Murphy Slaugh I am so lonely. Where is the one for me? Are they even just next door? Or far across the sea? Where will I go to meet them? How can I find... The one that I can't stop thinking of, The one that haunts...

HEART'S AWAKENING by Carl Blessing/Murphy Slaugh I woke up early in the morning to watch the bright sun rise, And suddenly I began to think of your wonderful green eyes. As the smell of the flowers and the trees wafted through the air, In my...
