Once again, mature content discussed, but no graphic detail, so not marking it adult.

The month had come, and gone, back to the usual spiel, hunting, gathering, sleeping...and a new found obsession with pushing herself further than she had in the past. It had taken work, support from Heji even, to get past that stupid memory again, and with it, evolution. That being said, the morning would find her just getting back from hunting, she would likely show up behind Kyn.

"So...you've come back. Hmph, thought I'd scared you away when you had to say goodbye in a letter." Her head was retracted back within the shell, her green eyes cast in permanent darkness.

"I've come here to collect Heji, and deliever whatever it is I need to deliver. Where is the order?" He'd considered snapping at her, but decided against it this once. It probably wouldn't have made his situation any better.

She snorted at him, of all the things to say. "That's it then? Fine. I don't know WHERE your order is, after the last ordeal I wrote to Anana explaining that I would be in no shape to cover for you, nor even see anything with your name on it, she agreed that SHE would keep your orders from now on." Her voice was menacing, even as she strode closer to him, and then her head emerged to snap the ball, HER ball, from his person, and crushed it between her jaws, dropping the pieces to the floor. At least, she would have if he still trusted her enough to let her that close, if not, she'd just back him into a corner, it wasn't like she couldn't do it now with her size. "Idiot."

"Was about time something like that happened. I told you it didn't matter if you kept your ball or not, since I said I'd never use it. Also, I told you that the next time that I saw you you'd be a Shelgon, and you are. Though, that does mean I have one less Luxury Ball." His voice was still calm, even after what Serena just did.

"...shame it took something like that to make it happen." She stood out of the way, her head retreating defensively. "The money you left here was put in as a donation for the daycare, so don't bother asking about it." She looked away from him, sitting down.

"You could have, and should have told me yourself, you know...Of course it came up, especially when I had to relive what happened...what I HAD had locked away. Of course that would be one of the first questions I would have to answer from Heji, have to begin to understand, and not from the mouth that it would have counted most." her look spoke one word very clearly, and it was only her eyes that he could see--'Coward'.

"Oh so it was donated then? I hope it did a decent amount. Or, I wonder if that counts as asking about it." He retorted. He figured there was no pointing in pretending anymore, and depending on how Serena proceed, would change the way he proceed.

Up on her hind legs, fully stretched out, she was as tall as he was, putting one forelimb on either side of his head on the wall. "Damnit Kyn. You didn't think I was smart enough to know the difference between a situation that is FORCED and a situation that is willing to at least be TRIED? You know the only way I got him to tell me, DO YOU?! IT was when YOU started to replace Royce in my nightmarish memory." Her head had emerged, her snout easily in his face.

"Serena, I'm going to tell you a few things first of all. You did scare me away. Second, it seems that what I feared would come to pass came to pass. I figured that I should spend at least another month away from you, if not longer." He looked Serena directly in the eyes, trying to figure out the best way to proceed.

She closed her eyes and snorted, yes, right into his face. Her teeth weren't bared at him, but she didn't move either. "What is there to be scared of, of a Pokémon that would have given her life to see that you were safe?" With those words, she wandered back towards the back, and laid on the straw. "I hated you for a bit, for leaving Heji here, hated the mixed feelings that I got when he held me too, the fact that he was a male was enough to send a sickening lurch through my stomach...and it took a while for him to understand as well, why I would shy away from him, why I would growl for no reason...but in the end...I'm glad you did. I would have shut myself away otherwise. Jasmine showed me another timeline, before I had made my choice to fight that anger at you for just walking away, and tried to learn. THAT was a nightmare."

She crossed her claws, one over the other, and looked at him. "I can't call you a friend right now, Kynexn, a friend wouldn't have walked out on me like that. I can't say I'm healed either, nor that the dreams have stopped...but at least, when they do switch out you for Royce, I can control the situation to where it's no longer being USED like that."

"These past three months, have not been easy for me. There were times when I desperately wished I could find a Celebi... one who would be willing to take me to the day before. But then I figured no... because that would mean that I would never come here. Never have to face what I had done. Would mean leaving Heji forever. That would be cowardly. It's why I chose to face you here and now. There is nothing I can apologize for. Even if I did, I doubt it would really do anything. But of course, the timeline DOES exist, where I didn't do what I did. And just wishing to see how that played out, is still just as bad as wishing to go back to the day before." Kyn hoped that she'd be willing to listen to at least some of it, if not all of it.

She sighed at him, and eventually stood up, walking back over to him, and this time when she stood on her hinds, she gave him a hug. "Ironic, since this all began with a misinterpretation...I spent the time wondering WHY I had even said what I did, and it came down to this. Fate brought us together, there's a reason for everything that happens, why we chose the branch we did. I don't expect you to apologize for being you...but you have long been forgiven for leaving. Just realize that I expect you to face what you're afraid of, in the future." She licked his neck. "So long as it's not creepy that I'm turning that dream into a wet dream purposely."

"You did... what? Wait... that's just odd. Even for me. Not creepy though, I think. Now... what is there left for me to fear but fear itself Serena...?" Kyn said the last part cryptically.

She chuckled. "It was either that or me not being able to look you in the eye for the rest of my days." she pulled her head back so that she was looking him in the eye, and using him as a counter balance. "Although, I admit, it IS odd to be sucking off someone who you're not even friends with anymore."

"Now... there are a few more things I wish to say to you. If you're willing to listen that is. So uh... perhaps you'd allow me to sit down." He said, waiting for her response.

Serena pushed herself backwards and then down, snorting as she sat again, much like a dog would. "I'm listening."

"First of all, I've acquired a new Pokémon. Secondly... An old friend of mine made a reappearance, and remembered me, after ten years. Third... I met Tenra..." Kyn said, after he plopped himself down.

She tilted her head at the news of all these things happening to him, but didn't speak, waiting for him to explain just who they were.

"The first one is... a Cyndaquil, who I am going to help evolve into a Quilava shortly, then a Typhlosion." He got rather excited after he said Typhlosion. "The next was... an old Crobat of mine who I released a while ago. No Trainers had managed to capture him. I believe it has to do with the fact that he was trained by me, for the most part. As for Tenra well... he's..." Kyn trailed off at that last part, and looking down at the ground a bit.

"The other half of your three way open-ended relationship?" She offered that way of putting it, it wasn't exactly the least awkward wording, but it was an answer.

"He was the first after Tensa to admit he loved me yes... but there's more to it than that... He... He was the Treecko I started with." Kyn said.

"Since he's still alive, that should be an IS, not a was." She nudged him with her head. "If this is difficult, you can stop."

"I don't know lately. My life has had an interesting turn. Perhaps it is time to consider retiring early." He said, now falling all the way back on his back.

As he fell back, she moved forward, over him even. She could just imagine what this would look like to anyone who walked in on it. "Kyn, you love being a Pokémon trainer, why let one little encounter make you want to change that?"

Kyn looked up at Serena. "It's not that... but, you're still right. I think... maybe it's time to wait a bit... before I do anything Pokémon Training related. If I do... it'll be to the newcomers to the team. The others are already top of the League strength." Kyn said, complementing them all once again.

Serena looked down at him, at least as best as she could, given the circumstances. She laid down on him, keeping her weight on her elbows and knees so that she was closer to him. "Why are you thinking that it might be time to take a break? Lets start there."

"Well, perhaps it is because I have finalized my business plans. That could be part of the reason." Kyn said, thinking about Serena's current location as well.

"And the other part?" She nosed him, she wasn't really thinking about her position, or what it would look like.

"Because I was planning on working for Anana for a while... is the other part." Kyn said. Serena nosing him didn't really feel like much other than, an encouragement of 'go oooon?'.

Serena took the chance to lick his cheek, then chuckled. "Right...remember what I said about being able to get you out of that agreement when you want to be done with her...That offer is still open." She pulled herself back up, and stepped off him. "You'll probably want to be getting back to work then."

"Yes, I'll have to go find Anana then. She is mostly found around the bay isn't she?" Kyn asked, trying to remember if anything was said about how frequently she was there.

"That is her home, and she has a shop there...yes. She doesn't exactly leave unless it's to come bug PK or something...so she should be there." She turned away from him and went back to her bed. "Is there something else you want of me?"

"No... that's it. Well except for one question. Have you officially taken Heji as your mate yet?" Kyn asked, wondering how she'd react.

She chuckled, giving him a soft smile. "Nothing has been said, no, but...hmmm..." She turned around to look at him, and walked back to his side. "I think there's a point, when you need not use words to describe what you are to someone; and even if you speak a lie with your words, people will be able to tell that it's not true. Understand what I mean?" She paused again. "I will go with you."

"Then this... will be your second time experiencing this form of travel. I'll go to the same spot I went to last time, to release Miru." Kyn said, indicated an area near the forest.

Serena nodded, motioning, in a round about way, for him to take the lead, and decide when to stop. "Third if you count the way back."

"Hm, I guess. Perhaps we'll consider the round trip a single one. There and back. Now... I think about here should do it." Kyn said, after he'd been about five trees deep. "Ah, there, see? That marking over there came from my sword. These trees are... not a surprise to me anymore. Miru emerged, and then Kyn told him where he'd like to go, and so Miru tore some space for them.

She looked up at the Palkia before her, honestly she wasn't sure how she felt about having that legendary around, being as he had caused so much pain...but she figured that it was like her ordeal with Royce, it couldn't be forgotten, and so it just had to be worked through. She waited until the space was torn open, and then walked through after Kyn with little more than a glance back in the opposite direction.

"Alright... now then..." Kyn pointed the Ball at Miru and actually vocally said, "Return." Instead of the ball opening up, a beam of red light shot out, enveloped Miru, and then returned to the Ball. "I chose Gambitville as my first stop, so I can get rid of these bones. Afterward... a five minute walk to the Bay." Kyn clarified, even though she didn't ask.

"Ah...Hm...well then, while you're doing that I should probably see if Syrup is home...she wanted to see me when I evolved, if you remember..." She did wonder about the thing with the ball, but she didn't really ask, she had grown accustomed to strange things with Kyn.

"Very well. I'll let you know before I'm headed to the next destination." He placed the Ball back on his belt, and then headed for the location where, for him, it had been quite a while since he had last been there. He brought the bones and pelt first, and then told that he would return with the meat. After he was paid for the first part, he then went outside, and unpacked the Tauros meat. He was rather glad that they STILL had a need for it. He collected the OTHER half of the pay, and then put that over his shoulder, and headed to either find, or wait for Serena.

Serena watched him go for a little, then retracted her head into her shell before heading off to the outskirts of town where Syrup lived, and rapped with her claw on the door, not really at all surprised when she didn't answer the door. Ah well...Syrup was a hunter, just like her. She went around behind the house and found the key under the woodpile, and went back around. She stepped inside and took a look around, kicking the door closed behind her, then fetched a piece of paper and a stick of charcoal, writing a note to the Skuntank and leaving it on the kitchen table, backing out of the house, relocking it, and replacing the key, she walked back to where she had left Kyn, knowing that it wouldn't take long for him to take care of business in town. She wasn't looking forward to the next part, but willing to face it...well...she would have to sometime, may as well be in the present. "All done?" Her voice surprised her with it's strength, even as she sank a little more into the sand than she would like to have admitted.

"I am, yes. I believe I will be working for Anana for about a year before I get tired of it. At least then I can accumulate enough from both Gambitville and the Bay. Speaking of which... I've.... got a new toy to test out." Kyn said, wondering if she'd be able to associate toy in the practical literally sense of an object of enjoyment that was not used for sexual purposes.

It was easy to forget that she wasn't still a young 'mon, with the way she acted most of the time, but she still knew what a toy was, the original sense of the word. "...which is something that will get you into trouble." She noted. "I wonder how Royce would behave if the tables were turned on him..."

"I don't think you'd want to find out Serena. ....Unless of course, you actually do." Kyn stopped dead in his tracks, and turned around to face Serena.

She stopped short of bumping into his leg, she didn't look him in the eye immediately. "I...will be honest with you, Kyn, I am scared...but as I told you, I'm going to try to face them. Royce...It's about control; he controls everything that goes on in the casino, controls who gets to walk away with money, and who doesn't...and he's drunk on it..." She paused, her head retreated back into the shell. "He shouldn't be allowed to force kids to give up their innocence to him." The voice that came out wasn't like her at all, almost acidic with how cold it was. "Truth? I don't want him dead...death is too easy of an escape for creatures like him."

"Well Serena, you know what the two us are able to do combined. I even have a Dark-type and a Bug-type. Since we'd be in the casino, he obviously wouldn't be able to use any Psychic type moves. Not ONLY that, but all angles are covered here, and Flying type moves can be used as well." He hadn't really thought this out much, just that his experience as a Trainer allowed him to quickly think of situations like that.

Serena tried not to tremble, but in the end she found herself on her knees and elbows as she thought about what he had said, it didn't help that the sand was harder for her to walk in than on normal soil. "I'm...probably going to have to leave most of this to you...I can easily take out a weeks worth of security, I don't know how long you want to be here this time...but taking out the heads will be...well, the easier part...funny, that while I couldn't remember, Royce was just a troublesome creature, and now he's my worst nightmare...I'm sure by the time things are through, he'll be able to say the same."

"I see... Serena, I have a move-related question for you. Do you have any new moves?" He paused for a bit, and then waited before saying, "Oh and... today is probably the day that I tell Anana that I'm a human." He added.

"Well...supposing that you mean what I put on the guild sheet...Protect. I no longer 'officially' will be able to use double-edge in a guild associated missions." She specified. "But one never really forgets." She paused at the news. "Oh swell, I'll get to practice tackling the one who told me I would turn into a slut before the year was up before we tackle Royce." She chuckled to herself, but the laugh was hollow. "If I need to, I mean...She may think you have a disorder or something Kyn."

"That'd be my own fault Serena. I do keep referring to being humans as a condition. It kinda is though. Serena.... I know you don't much like getting gifts but, it seems like you're rather sinking in the sand a lot. Does that... bother you? If not then I''ll just leave it alone." He started walking again now, heading towards one of the exit of Gambitville.

She hefted herself up to her feet again, and shook the sand from her shell and hide. "It's...annoying...but the fact that I gained over double my body weight when I changed...even walking was difficult at the start. However...sand annoyed me even when I was a Bagon, it's no worse now." She followed him again, feeling rather like a big dog following it's master...was this how they felt all that time? Hm...

Kyn sighed. "I see. Well, like I said if that's the case, I'll leave it alone! Besides. It's not like you'd want to wear things under your feet anyway. In fact, these boots aren't made for sand." Kyn turned around and saw that they were a suitable distance from Gambitville. "Hm, now we can go I think. Uh... this is a bit embarrassing but... where IS Anana's shop? Also... what's IN Anana's shop?"

"You've never been to Anana's shop? Hm~ kind of amusing...it's on the bay...and it is rather quite...innocent, compared to the lizard herself. She sells pretty much everything you could ask for, and what she doesn't have, she can get." She thought about what Kyn was saying, and chuckled, the sound echoing in her shell. "I would have trouble feeling the ground if I put anything on my feet, I think that it would...well, be a bit awkward."

Kyn held out Miru's Luxury Ball, and pushed the button. Miru emerged with a flash of gold sparkles, and then he turned to Kyn and said, "The usual place then...?" to which Kyn nodded. Miru had since managed to incorporate the Lustrous Orb into its being. It opened a space just outside of the Bay, about a ten minute walk. "Ready Serena...?" Kyn asked, stepping within the distance of entry.

"I...." She trailed off, her eyes had narrowed to slits as well as her pupils. Hatred bubbled behind those eyes, for the place, for everything it stood for. She hesitated, then exhaled through her nose in a snort. "As I'm ever going to be," came the proper answer. She wished she were still a Bagon, capable of hiding in Heji's fur, she wished he were out of his ball at least...still she held fast to her word--if she truly needed him out beside her, he would come, she knew.

"Alright. Let's go raise some hell." Kyn said, stepping through the space after returning Miru.

Chapter 2

Almost as he spoke, she sat on her haunches, her tail swirling around her, setting her egg against her forepaw as she looked up towards the same area that Kyn had been. She was comfortable here, perhaps it was the fact that she was in a place that was...

Chapter 2: The Basic Badge

The sun peeked over the horizon, signifying the start of a new day. We were away from the city, the true peaceful, tranquillity of the forest. This tranquillity would be interrupted however, in the form of a rough awakening from Tensa. He had...

Serena slipped through after Kyn. She didn't get the reference, since the term wasn't from her world, but she did do her best to equate it. She nearly shivered even stepping foot near this place, and she kept her head tucked back into her shell. "This...
