#1 of Memories of Us

My pathetic attempt at an entry for a Writer of the Fortnight. ._.

Well. It won. With One Voter. So I guess, rawr?

"But Mom doesn't believe me..." I whined as I laid down on the floor of my bedroom, which contained my seashell cover bed, a blue dresser and bookcase, filled with children's books. My room itself was sky blue, save the creamy white carpet, and the curtains depicted an ocean filled with fish of all sorts.

Curtains drawn back, the large window let plenty of morning sunlight shine through, illuminating my bed and the wall next to it. The wall itself was covered in childish drawings done in pencil and crayon, and stories scrawled on paper. One of the drawings was of a salamander human hybrid, who looked slightly my age. He had blonde hair, amber eyes, and skin as blue as the sky. At the bottom right corner of the drawing was a hastily scrawled name.

**Reks Elsman.

"What did she do?"**

He asked me as we both laid down side by side, drawing pictures. Crayons and pencils were scattered amongst paper and floor.

"She laughed as she looked at daddy and said that children have such wild imaginations..." I explained. I stopped drawing and sat up slowly, my vision blurring as Reks looked at me.

"What's wrong?" He asked worriedly. I sniffled a little.

"Does that mean I'm crazy Reks?" I asked him. "She thinks I'm lying..." Reks sat up as well and faced me, putting his hand on my shoulder as tears began to roll down my cheeks.

"You're not crazy Andre, and you're not lying." Reks explained. "She just doesn't understand. She can't see me, like everyone else." Reks went on. I paused and looked at him quietly, and our eyes met. Reks smiled brightly. "But that just means you have something everyone else doesn't, and that's special. Don't let anything anybody says drag you down." He said to me. I broke down in tears fully and hugged him close, no words and only sobbing. He too said nothing and lifted his arms to hug me.

**_I don't want you to disappear...

I can't live without you...

I just couldn't...

I know... It's okay...

I'm here for you...

Always._**

16th Star of Sorrow

Soft sobbing could be heard in the darkness of a small room, where the only source of illumination streamed through a window, the curtain slightly drawn to give a small glimpse of the darkening neighbourhood outside where the streetlights lit up one by...
