Savannah Blues (Remix) Chapter One By Roofles
"Remember," the hyena spoke up his breath fogging up in front of his muzzle. He rubbed his fingerless woolen gloved paws quickly and blew hot air into them still shivering. "We're normal." His amber eyes burned as he glared at the tall zebra walking at his side. He said the words stressing each one to make sure they got across. He even added a nudge to the equidae's side to make sure he heard him.
Ralph let out a heavy "oof" and bent over holding the side of his gut. "Ow," he turned towards the purple fur, black spotted hyena. "I got it. I got it. I got it!" He growled a bit before lightening up, still rubbing his side. "I've agreed for the past hour on the bus ride here that we would." The look Isaac gave him however made him correct himself. "That I would be, in societies standards, be and act normal for all apperances."
"Thank you." Isaac smiled up at him from underneath the heavy sweater he wore, hood up. The lime green sweater hung low over his eyes shielding all but the end of his muzzel from the cold chill of a winter morning around them. It stung his nose with every breath he took; and Isaac swore his whiskers were accumilating frost on them, tiny little icicles forming at the end of them. Before they got inside icicles would be hanging from each nostril as well he was sure. Hyena's were just not made for this weather.
The mist still lingered on the streets of the suburban town. On the bus ride here the hyena kept poking his nose against the window and staring out at the strange scenery of the quiet town; having only lived in large cities it was strange seeing just how different this place was. The town was so spread out rather than bunch together rising upwards rather than outwards like the city had. There were houses not skyscrapers, small parks instead of a large city one. Even the generic furs walking around looking foreign as if he had gone to another country rather than state. Preppy high schoolers, wanna-be goth kids and other kids waited at bus stops for the school bus. All of them were just one stereotype after the next. At least that didn't change much, he admited. A few stray joggers here n' there and as they drove deeper in he could see families getting ready for the day. Dad's kissing the top of their kids head before heading off to work. Mother's giving out bag lunches to their young before shepharding them to school like the sheepdogs they just so happened to be.
Bag lunches...
Isaac wonder what that was like.
The hyena adjusted his earphones; a finger touched the small ear gauge under it he had gotten a year ago. His fingers trailed upwards to touch the other earings he had in. Small dull silver. Not the rainbow ones he had first bought when he was still but a kid. He had felt the need to express himself so openly as if the world needed to know. The thought was enough to make him pull his hood down over his face some more and rest against the window listening to the beat of the music buzzing in his ears as the bus finally began to pull into the station.
"What are friends for?" Ralph nudged him back playfully with a semi-hoofed paw. His long black tail swatted at the air and he shook his head making his mane sway like a flag in the wind. Unlike the hyena the zebra didn't wear his hood; "it fusses with the mane" Ralph always said. He didn't even seem to notice that there was fresh snow still on the ground. And even in the morning the tall black and white striped horse caught the attention of all the early birds getting up.
One thing Isaac was afraid of coming to a smaller town college like this. Everyone here already knew each other or grew up in the same area and class as one another. So when a lime green hoodie hyena and a tall zebra, in a gray color sweater, came strolling down the main walk way it caught a few eyes. Ears. And noses. And anyone that was up and about were now staring shamelessly at them.
An iguana and cockatoo were talking with each other as they walked their way to morning class. The two kept looking over at them before whispering amongst each other. The mare and bull they passed by were blatantly staring. A golden retriever almost ran into an oppossum as she was attempting to flirt with the zebra. Isaac couldn't blaim her, he had done the same thing with him. And in a small town like this fresh meat were fair game.
Isaac tried not to think it over. A "contempary" new start meant meeting new people. He was horrible with first impressions however and he knew it. He was the type of guy that had a good bunch of friends and just hung out with them. The phone in his front pocket buzzed again announcing the hundreth message he had already gotten that morning from said friends. Or rather from a rather annoying striped-weasel who had started texting him at five in the morning to make sure he got there ok.
Isaac looked over and up at the zebra who waved to a group of doe's walking by. The girls stood up a little straighter as if catching a strange smell of a possible predator in the wind before giggiling amongst each other and quickly heading to class with side long glances back at him. Ralph just grinned watching them go with raised eyebrows as he waved. Making mental notes of each one. They could've been sisters. He wondered if they were into that...
"Great." The one thing Isaac asked of the zebra and now he might as well be drawing a crowd around them, waving a flag and crying out that they were new here. It may be the fact the hyena was already unquestionably nervous that he was getting so annoyed by these little things; his fur was even standing up in places he didn't know could stand up in. That might be from the cold though. Or the fact a snowball had just hit him in the back making his short tail poof out and shivers crawling up his back like hairy legged spiders.
And before the hyena could really loose as another snowball hit him and childish laughs from someone that most likely had just gotten out of highschool, it wafted past his muzzle. A smell of fresh baked goods and coffe making him stop. The large luggage he was dragging behind him hit his heel making him jump with a startled yelp. He hopped on one foot rubbing the back of it. Isaac was staring off to the side at a small little place that brought a grin to his face and a hungry growl from his belly.
"Hey Ralph." Isaac said shoving the handle of his luggage into Ralph's paw whom of which was busy entertaining a couple of other ladies with crude hand gestures. "You want anything? Donut? Coffee? Hot coco?" The hyena called back already making his way across the snow covered grass tucking his frozen fingers under his arms and into his pits.
Ralph looked at him, down at the bags in his paw and back at the hyena hiking his way through the snow. Isaac hugged himself tighter as the cold frozen water crunched beneath his oversized paws. "Oh. Ok then. Um...I'll just wait here?" Ralph called after him looking around unsure as to what to do exactly until a pomeranian walked by. "Hello, sweet thing."
"Dude." The pomeranian looked at him with a frown. "I'm a dude." And Ralph just grinned at the now worried dog.
Isaac shook himself off in the doorway leaving a small pile of snow in the walk way before hefting the carry on bag back up over his shoulder and approached the counter. "Yes. I'll take three choco choco donuts, a large caramel frappuccino with an extra shot of expresso - please and thank you. And are those fresh cin'a'buns?" The hyena said having already fully perked back up nearly drooling against the show case.
The lemur behind the counter tapped each order in slowly and had to ask him to repeat the last order three times before he got it into the machine. Isaac meanwhile was soaking in the warmth of the small college run cafe; he knew he'd be visiting this place several times in the future. The whole cold and hyenas thing just really didn't mix, let alone driving several hundreds of miles or so in a cramped smelly bus with a very bored, handsy zebra that he swore had ADHD or something. All of which added up to a very annoyed, grouchy man. So tossing his hood back and letting the earplugs fall out he smiled at the lemur enjoying the warmth and solitude this place provided. He'd be studying here often over a good cup of coffee.
"You new here?" The lemur asked pointing out the most obvious fact of things. It was as if the man just noticed he was a hyena. Or a purple black pawed one at that.
"Obviously." Isaac said a bit more forcefully than he meant. His annoyance of the trip was beginning to come back to him and he felt a little bit on edge because of it. The fact he hadn't slept within nearly twenty four hours might've played an unhelpful paw in it. "I am." He said rubbing two fingers between his eyes. "Just arrived." He sighed, it sounded more like a growl unfortunetly.
The lemur followed his response with about roughly a hundred and one questions. It was like playing twenty questions with Ralph. The zebra would get halfway through one round before starting in on the next and as time progressed the time before he switched from one question to the next only decreased. Ending with twenty question to one and half questions and a very bored, handsy and slightly horny zebra...
Ling had a chemistry book propped open in front of him; the red panda was trying to read the assigned homework only fifteen minutes before class. The night had been long and the after effects were still knocking like a woodpecker on the inside of his skull. A red fur paw rubbed one eye as he re-read the same sentence four times before groaning loudly and giving up.
"I blame you." He said with cracked english.
Jayce across from him laughed softly to himself sipping the black coffee. "Your such a lightweight, mate." The kangaroo added with a wink. Jayce's eyes drifted however as Robert at the front desk was on another one of his rants. The Madagascan lemur always did love to chat to anyone who listen. Jayce almost lost an ear to the chatty Nancy.
The kangaroo eyes dipped down to the hyena's snow covered hind paws and drifted up slowly. Baggy pants, a bulky lime green sweater hiding most his face, average build with the classic hyena features. Large paws, a bit of a gut, perky ears and from the looks of it a black mane that probably ran down most his back. Jayce could only guess at the last part but his curiosity had already piqued and bidding the short red panda farewell and good luck he headed over to sate his curious mind.
Like himself and Ling the hyena was most likely an exchange student coming to this broke, run down country bumpkin college on a scholarship. Noticing his apparel Jayce figured he was at least native or living in America far longer than he or Ling had been. Then again knowing the school board they could've just wanted more "diversity" and grabbed any willing student that could tip the scale in their favor. The one thing they hoped would bring them more funding and set them apart from any other community college, the diversity card. Most colleges were rather conformed in their ways. Being only cats, dogs, lizards or birds. In some ways it was due to climate and the way the structure itself was built. Several colleges were made for aquatic or avains. Some classes literally required swimming or flying to get too.
"Put it on my tab." Jayce said bounding over in only a couple of steps; his spring like legs carrying his weight with ease. There was a reason he was one of the star players on the basketball team. "Name's Jayce, nice to meet cha'." The kangaroo offered a paw as Isaac looked at him with wide, loving eyes at not having to pay for the drinks. Jayce crossed his legs, resting against the counter.
"Thanks." Isaac said casually tipping his muzzle down. His voice was a bit mumbled and soft as he met the emerald eyes. "Isaac." He said taking the bag of donuts in one paw, using the other to shake the kangaroo's hand. His voice had returned to its deeper tone and he had an inquizzical expression on his face as he looked at the kangaroo - never actually seeing one before.
Jayce was a common brown fur kangaroo. His fingers, toes, ear tip and the end of his tail had a darker richer chocolate brown tone to them. Around both eyes and the side of his muzzle was a fainter orange brown tint that made his features more defined. "Pleasure's all mine." The kangaroo continued shaking his paw a bit longer than average Isaac thought was formal. The 'roo also tipped his large hat down as he shook it. Most of the Jayce's weight was balanced back on his tail that kept him propped up like a handy built in kick stand. Isaac almost marveled at the enguinity of it jealous of the heritage that gifted him with the handy device, the springing legs could be useful too he'd imagine; while the hyena only had a horrible laugh, large paws and a belly to show for his.
"Charmed." Isaac said.
"I'm sure." Jayce nodded finding it to be a very reasonable thing to say.
"Indeed."
"Quint."
"Varily."
"Positually."
"Indeedio."
"Absolutely!"
"Impositiveliously!" Isaac finished with a grin. Jayce returned it and the two shared a chuckle.
"Isaac." A voice said from the doorway making his ears perk up and turn towards it before his muzzle could follow. Ralph was standing, shivering, in the doorway holding four things of luggage. The zebra from the waist down was covered in snow. "You done flirting yet or can we finally get to our dorm?" Ralph asked before nearly keeling over as the warmth of the room finally set in making him groan low.
Isaac blushed at the sound having heard it used in a different context. The hyena tossed his hood off, feeling a lot warmer now. Rather it was because he was blushing being caught red handed flirting, rather poorly, or that he was still holding the paw of the other man. Isaac quickly let go after he realized he was the only one out of the two still holding on. He chuckled nervously afterwards wishing he was anywhere else at the moment.
"Ah, goodie." Jayce said bouncing over to shake Ralph's hoofed paw in both of his with a friendly handshake. "Another one. We don't get too many striped buggers up here. Or spotted." He added with a wink towards the still blushing hyena.
Ralph returned the hand shake before pulling him close into a strong hug. The zebra gave Isaac a wicked grin; the hyena knowing full well what laid behind that seemingly friendly smile. Isaac frowned at him and just shook his head slowly. Taking the coffee off the counter he joined the two in the doorway. "Shall we then?"
"Where you guys off too?" Jayce asked as Ralph let go. Jayce tossed a paw around both of their shoulders looking at one then the other.
"We're off to go fry shrimp on the barbie." Ralph laughed making Isaac wince. As tactful as ever, he thought.
"We're heading to the South East dorm." Isaac said loudly to try and drown out Ralph's previous comment.
"Ah, too bad. I live in the west dorm." Jayce said heading out the door ahead of them. "I can show you the way though. Gives me an excuse to being late to chem."
"Thanks." Isaac said catching up to him in a brisk jog leaving Ralph behind to grab the bags. The kangaroo only bounced twice and it took several steps for him to catch up.
"You guys get in on the scholarship as well I take it?" Jayce inquired taking a leisure stroll in front of them. He kept his hands behind his head kicking his feet out as he walked. Although it looked rather strange the kangaroo found it to be a lot easier to walk in such a manner. Otherwise he'd have to walk on his tip toes or hop. Which he only liked to do indoors oddly enough.
"I did." Isaac said watching the kangaroo in a mild curiosity. He thought being a hyena with a zebra tagging along would be a strange site to see up north but watching the 'roo walk around left him feeling rather normal. "Ralph's just here because he wanted to tag along."
"If I recall correctly someone was begging me to come along." Ralph jumped in dragging two large bags behind, two more slung from his right shoulder and a heavy gym bag evening the weight on the other side. Taking the gym bag in both paws, strap slipping off, the zebra tossed it to Isaac nearly knocking him over as he caught it.
"What's in here?" Isaac asked rubbing his sore gut and looking down at the bag.
"Laptop. Jock strap. Bong, a few dildo's. Those porno mags and dvds... You know, the usual stuff." Ralph shrugged with a grin. And Isaac didn't doubt a single thing he said much to his own chagrin. "Remember the one you borrow the other night? It's in there." He added sticking his tongue out making the hyena's face burn a bright maroon under the purple dyed fur.
"R-ralph." Isaac said a bit high pitched, clearing his throat as he calmed down. Grinding his teeth he wanted to reach out and strangle the zebra. He slung the strap over his shoulder and quickly headed in the direction the map had told them.
Yet Ralph wouldn't let it go. "That one with the badger and wolverine, you know in the gym, that video? I got that in there two. Those males could really give it to each other!" The zebra laughed remembering the shower scene and the dropping of the soap.
Jayce pressed both his spring loaded feet against the ground and bounded several yards motioning for them to follow. He kept his cool only his ears giving any sign that he had heard the zebra seconds before. The kangaroo rested back on his built in kick stand and crossed a leg over the other letting the two past giving them a once over as their back were turned toward him. "At least there's some fresh meat now," he muttered to himself rubbing his chin and looking between the two rears of the male. There wasn't much to do in this isolated place after all. Or whom to do rather.
Isaac rubbed his paws together as the cold began to sap the warmth he had accumulated in the warm indoors. His bare paws stepped on a rather large pile of snow that had been knocked onto the sidewalk. The frozen water slipping between his toes sending shivers up his leg, through his chest and down his back along his tail that poofed out as he froze with chills.
"Don't worry, mate." Jayce said easily catching up to them in a single bound. He kept back just enough to get a clear view of the two males behinds however. "You get used to it. I only moved in a month and half ago and look at me now." He said jumping into the snow covered grass and kicking his legs up sending snow flying everywhere as he walked around.
Isaac nearly crashed into Ralph as snow was kicked at him. He clung to the larger striped male as his fur stood out like a frightened cat. He hissed at the kangaroo now laughing as he jumped back onto the side walk kicking his legs clean of snow. The hyena didn't have the heart to tell him he's been living in the northwest for years now. While some people could adjust, like the zebra he was still clinging too, others never could. Such as the hyena who was freezing his ass off even clinging to the warmer male. He wished that was actually the case he thought looking at his ass - that he was freezing it off. It could loose a few pounds for sure.
The box shaped campus was easy to navigate in. The main walk way had a cross road in the center with a large fountain that formed a large circlular walk way aorund it. Several raised cement steps were around it up onto the grassy tree dotted hills between the walk ways. There were several places one could just sit and study at during the warmer months Isaac saw looking around. He'd have to investigate them further one the months warmed up however.
Isaac was more than happy to go inside the first building they came across. He was nearly inside the doors before Jayce turned and continued bouncing down the walkway. "Just up ahead." He called to the hyena whose jaw had dropped looking at the kangaroo.
Isaac groaned and hefted the gym bag back up off the ground, following the kangaroo with a lowered head. His ears perked up as he went and he was at least able to get a feel for the new home he'd be staying at for roughly two years, at least.
The main square seemed to be the main crossroads for everyone. As the sun began to rise up over the mountains more and more furs began filling the walk ways. Most of them were deers, bucks and other hoofed animals. A few grizzly bears headed towards the gym. A few house cats and dogs mixed in with the others but the over all population of the campus was rather common northern animals. Artic foxes, wolverines, elk and moose. A beaver, wolf and a couple of raccoons passed them by staring like the rest had at the odd two led by a kangaroo. There were a couple spotted owls that caught the hyena's attention. Tiny little things that walked quickly as they shuffled from one building to the next. He couldn't help but grin as he watched their feet move a mile a minute as they kept their heads down seemingly neckless before vanishing inside the main building.
It was clear however that several species were missing. For instance in his home town you couldn't walk down the street without seeing a hyena or lion. Here there wasn't even a cheetah, giraffe or oryx. And Isaac figured he'd be the only hyena in the whole town. Possibly for several miles. The thought wasn't comforting. He didn't like to stand out, be different or unique in any way. Isaac would love to just be himself. Though the darker purple fur on his body might've been a rather large mistake he admited. But when your drunk one night with the guys you tend to do stupid things you end up regretting. He still had a semi mohawk sprouting from his black fur mane that had gone along with it.
The side dorms, where they would be staying, were several floors tall. Checking in up front the two were given their room keys and shephard off by the collie who went back to watch her soap opera on a black and white tv. Isaac didn't even think they made those anymore. It might've been the show she was watching but either or it was foreign to the technologically savvi hyena.
"Room E-4?"
"E-5." Ralph said holding up the dangling key as if it were some kind of digusting bug. He stuck his tongue out and made a face at the look he recieved.
"E-8. You sunk my battleship!" Jayce said holding up his own set of keys.
The two looked over at him. Isaac frowned. "I thought you said-,"
"I lied." Jayce shrugged bouncing forward. Isaac winced half expecting the kangaroo to smash his head on the ceiling. His ears brushed across it along with his hair but his head was still an inch or two away from cracking his skull open. Jayce didn't even seem to notice as he continued to hop along. "They stick all the people with scholarships here." He noted planting a foot on the ground and spinning around, kicking his other leg out and nearly clipping a pheasant in the face.
The bird dodged aside, kept his head down and with the quickest feet ever carried itself away and down the hall. Isaac blinked a few times as he saw the towel wrapped around the birds waste. "The bathrooms..." He said slowly having already pieced it together but not wanting to come the conclusion at hand.
"Don't worry there's one for each two rooms." The hyena let out his breath in relief, a thankful sigh. "And we have a shower for each floor." And then Isaac clenched his teeth before groaning loudly. "I know right!" Jayce continued looking at him. Isaac appeared as if he had just swallowed a rather spoiled lemon, the kangaroo was beaming though. "We're pretty lucky if I say so myself."
Isaac shuffled his heavy paws up the stairs in defeat. Hallway E was on the third floor. A and B were on the first floor and usually reserved for dorm reps. Each one getting their own bedroom without a roomate. C and D were on the second floor, most of the students would be stuck here for several years. Several of them having already served half their sentence. The third floor where hallways E and F were, was made mostly for the newcomers. And the top floor, Isaac was told by the kangaroo hoping next to him, was where some of the dorm staff lived.
"We don't have janitors so if you make a mess. Clean it up." The way he said that though led Isaac to believe he wasn't exactly one to clean up his own messes. Isaac was a fairly clean guy with a bit of OCD on his "better" days so that wouldn't be a concern. Ralph walking on his other side on the other hand was horrible at picking up after himself; Isaac figured he'd be cleaning the zebra's room at least once every couple of days.
Ralph kept the door opened as he dragged his luggage insde his room leaving the other bags for Isaac to grab. "Holler if you need anything." The zebra stuck his head out making sure that Isaac's room was in fact right next to his. However the bathroom Ralph would be sharing was not with him but the person on the other side.
"My rooms right down here." Jayce said pulling the hyena along. Digging his long feet into the carpet he took hold of the hyena's wrist dragging him towards his room. Isaac had to admit that he was far stronger than he appeared and though he wasn't a fairly heavy guy Jayce managed to pull him along without much effort.
Isaac would've prefered to get his stuff unpacked already and crash in his room until classes start the next day. His train of thought however was soon broken as Jayce continued to drag him down the middle of the hallway. The hyena's ears jumped up as he heard a voice calling out for them to make way.
Jayce let go and moved aside with a wry grin. Both him and the hyena moved to the side of the wall for the fur calling out. A ferret, running for his life, sprinted by holding a large beach towel. Crumbling it up he chucked the cloth into Ralph's open door before turn and quickly hiding inside Isaac's room. The hyena lifted an eyebrow before hearing the heavy stomps of the person the towel belonged too.
Coming up from the other side was a massive crocodile shamelessly walking down the room with both clawed hands clenched tightly into first butt naked. He snarled at a mongoose who stuck his head out to see what all the noise was. The frightened mammal retreated back inside his room and locked and bolted his door shut.
"Where is he?" The reptile growled sticking a clawed finger into Jayce's chest. The kangaroo shrugged. "I know you know where he is."
"Can't help ya', mate." Jayce replied his accent seeming to grow far heavier than it had been before.
The croc ignored him and looked at the hyena. Giving him a once over the massive brute of muscle and scales bent down to be on even level with the now frieghtened hyena. "Did you see Cooper run this way?" Isaac just stared at him. "Small ferret, about yay high with orange head fur and a nasty little goatee." The hyena shook his head back and forth slowly never taking his eyes off the seemingly blood red ones in front of him. "If you do tell him Big Ted is looking for him." The croc growled with a cruel laugh jabbing a thumb against his own chest.
And with that the still naked croc made his way down the hall sniffing at the very air as he snarled and growled at anyone that dared get in his way. He muttered a few things about strangling tube rats before heading down the stairs on the other side as his search continued.
"Don't worry." Jayce said with a laugh slapping Isaac hard in the back. "Ted's a big softy. He just gets disgruntled during the cold months."
"Isn't it always cold up here." Isaac frowned as Jayce grinned.
"That never gets old." A voice said popping up from underneath Isaac's arm. The hyena lifted it up and stared down at the queer little ferret poking his head out and down the hallway where the croc had vanished. Covering his muzzle with a paw the ferret snickered to himself.
"Priceless as always." Jayce said moving in front of the two. "Cooper this is Isaac. Isaac this is Cooper."
"Sup." Cooper said shaking his paw while still staring down the hall, keeping an eye out for the unseen threat. It was soft and not as apparent as Jayce but the ferret had an accent as well. A more soft undertone placing his origin somewhere in Britian.
Isaac returned the paw shake as he looked him over. Orange furry head with lighter brown chocolate fur everywhere else. His chin had a darker brown with flakes of orange goatee style fur pattern that crept along his lower muzzle, meeting up with the side burns he had. Cooper had a toothy grin and a smug look on his face as he kept looking down the hall, his emerald eyes seemingly sparkling in the dim hallway light.
"Hey." Isaac returned the greeting. He got a handshake in return but the ferret still kept an eye out and both ears up for the croc.
Once the exchange was over with they stood for a good minute in silence as the ferret continued to look down the hall. Isaac heard the large crocodiles steps far before he saw him and Cooper perked his ears at the sound before ducking inside the room once more. Isaac stood his ground watching as the still naked reptile lumbered past them muttering profanities to himself and all the while going on about how he was going to "kill the ferret."
Jayce excuse himself and headed down the hall to further harrass the reptile Isaac figured anyways as the kangaroo kept close but a safe distance behind Big Ted who was now opening doors to see if he could find him. The hyena stood in the now empty hallway for a couple more seconds before heading into his room and gladly shut and locked his door to be left in peace while he unpacked.
Isaac frowned as he saw the ferret crashing on his bed. Cooper was cross legged with his paws behind his head; his eyes were closed and was in his own little world. One eye opened as the hyena approached and a large toothy grin spread across the smaller males face.
"Don't be mind'in me crashin' here, do ya'?" The ferret said pushing himself up a bit with a paw and look over at him. Cooper had planned to play it sauve, using his charm to get the hyena to let him crash inside but Isaac just ignored him as he went about unpacking his supplies.
The first bag he unzipped popped over and several unspeakables flew into the air and over the hyena's startled face. Briefs, condoms, packages of single use lube and other more personal stuff rained down around him in a rainbow color that could've been mistaken for confetti. Isaac blinked several times before looking down at the bag.
He was sure he hadn't over packed them. Then again it had taken a couple of minutes just to zip the bag up and every seam of it was beginning to rip and tear with the strain of holding everything inside. He didn't want to haul around several bags and ended up packing two bags worth of stuff into a single bag. When he thought about it he was surprised it had lasted this long as it was.
Cooper curiosity began to rise as he looked around at the X rated material still raining down around them.
"I take it your single?" Cooper stated looking at the materials in question. He picked up a dental dam and opened it up. He licked its surface timidly before smacking his lips. "Yum, strawberry." He grinned sticking his tongue out as Isaac looked over.
The hyena met those emerald eyes before going back to cleaning up. Cooper frowned wanting to get some kind of reaction at least. To Isaac it was embarassing but nothing Ralph hadn't already teased him about. Isaac was comfortable with who he was though he didn't like broadcasting it as Ralph and some of his older friends liked too. He was gay, a college male and had urges. Sure. Doesn't mean he have to go onto the rooftop and shout that he was gay hundreds of time to people that, frankly, wasn't any of their business to know.
"You mind if I keep this?" Cooper asked stashing the item into his pocket.
"Better safe than sorry." Isaac said rather monotone dropping everything he had collected into the nightstand.
The room was small. A bed, nightstand, closet with a dresser and hangers inside and a single lamp. There were several outlets around the room one of which Isaac was already setting up his laptop and phone charger. It was next to the bed and before the ferret had much time the hyena crashed onto and next to him. Cooper was pressed up against the wall looking down at the screen that was now starting on his lap.
"You going to be here long?" Isaac grunted wiggling his toes in the warm room. It was cosy. And the window allowed him a good view of the central area.
"I thought I might take a moment or two for tea." Cooper said as charming as he could be now resting on his arm and looking at him. The small bed made it impossible for the two not to be touching.
"Get me a cup while your at it." Isaac replied typing in the fifteen numbers and letter password to unlock his computer. Cooper just laid down resting a leg onto of one of Isaac's and looking at the screen. Isaac's background was a picture of the world taken from space; it was vivid and so green from the angle it was at, clouds swept across swirling around in the south but leaving a gaping hole for the Western continet to be seen clearly.
"Don't you have class?" Isaac asked as Cooper moved to get off the bed. The ferret stopped on his lap straddling his thighs with his rear ontop of Isaac's groin. The hyena lifted an eyebrow as a paw was placed on his belly.
"Not for another couple of hours." Cooper grinned leaning across the hyena.
The second that paw strayed lower though the ferret found himself flat on the floor with a rather disgruntled hyena looking down at him.
"Out." Isaac said simply pointing towards the door.
"But." Cooper said still trying to get his barings. "What if Ted is out there." He said folding his ears back and pointing over his shoulder at the door meekly.
"Deal with it." Isaac said laying back on the bed with the laptop on his lap. He opened the IM he used and found himself with fifty unread messages sent while he had been offline. He frowned as he began to look over them. Mostly from Evan back home.
Cooper sat on the floor not exactly used to the treatment. Maybe he misread the signals and the hyena was in fact straight; there was the first time for everything he shrugged getting up. "Sorry about the whole...molesting thing." Cooper laughed scratching the back of his head.
"No worries." Isaac said as he began to reply to the missed messages.
"I just figured." Cooper went on.
Isaac shut the computer slightly and set it aside. He moved his legs over and sat at the edge of the bed and looked at him. "Your cute. Sure. Your funny, I suppose. Your charming; yeah. But I don't fuck sluts." Isaac stated rather brutely truthful and harsh at the end as he put his foot down and stood up. He appeared far taller than he was.
"Right I didn't mean to -," the ferret pressed trying to correct his wrong.
"To molest me? It was clear what you were going for." Isaac frowned with a rather bored look on his face. The bar he attended back home had guys like this. Always looking for a good fuck no matter where it was coming from. Horny little devils that as far as Isaac was concerned could go the little back alley sluts that they were.
"Look." Cooper raised his paws. "Let's start fresh? Make amends, as you yanks call it." His accent become a bit more noticeable. He offered a paw. "Name's Cooper. I'll be your cellmate for your stay here. Please be gentle." He added with a wry grin.
Isaac frowned leaving he ferret hanging for several seconds before taking his paw and shaking it once. "Isaac." He grunted letting go and turning back towards the bed.
"Ok!" Cooper clapped his paws together. "Glad we got that over with. Well I'm just going to duck into my room to make sure the coast is clear before tallying off to class." He said opening the side door to the bathroom and opening the other door of the bathroom walked into his room. Cooper left both doors opened to Isaac's chagrin.
"Any cute guys there?" Was a reply Isaac had just gotten on his computer.
"A few." The hyena said resting back on his bed and looking over at the open bathroom door.
