#80 of Poetry

Assignment #8/8 of my college Creative Writing Poetry class. This is a poem about hope and resilience.

Upon a Star

Sometimes I look into the sky

And wish the stars were always there

To see me and reassure me

Because I do

Find reassurance in the stars.

They twinkle and burn bright

A million little lights

Watching over me.

Yet the sky is clogged with clouds

And even the sun

Works against these amazing lights

That brighten my nights

But not my days.
