#17 of Poems and Such

A poem I did based on NWFT using Wolves Twilight as the theme.

The days come to an end and I fight to carry on

Torn from a love denied, I search for where I belong

Its in your arms, that one moment of peace

I close my eyes, deepening the embrace

It's here we stand, together forever.

I've grown so tired of carrying the memories within

The world I've known, the chaos therein

My home, Neon, shining bright beside the sea

Now engulfed in flames, a ruin of what it used to be

It's here we stand, together forever

Hand in hand, it's now or never

The cries, they echo in the sky

From those that are fighting

And from those who are dying

Together as one, there's no denying

Our sorrow, the terror from the sky

It's here we stand, together forever.

Side by side, it's now or never

I've grown cold, a shattered soul remains

With every dying breath I'm drawn into the fight again

Our home, my curse, burning for all to see

A vixen surrounded by death, waiting, waiting for me

It's here we stand, together forever

The time is now

The night comes as the sun begins to fade

Shrouding all in darkness as the terror still remains

And in the dark we carry on, fighting hard

Our eyes, looking for hope at the coming of a new dawn

Chapter 7: Of Fox and Wolf

The foxes went quiet after listening to Stone's story. "That was quite a story" spoke Kyle with a hint of sarcasm in his voice. "It seems a little far fetched to be believable but given the situation, rational thought flew right out the window." ...
