Chapter 15: Revelation

The Nighthawks took off into the sky and flew back to the Archilles. Lt. Wagner un-slung his M74D, along with the rest of Alpha Company. The men moved into firing positions and Wagner ordered to use hand signals only to keep their stealth.

They moved the few hundred yards on foot towards the temple. They heard gun fire, energy fire, explosions, and screams in the distance. As they got closer, the sounds got louder. They continued to move until they got a visual of the battle. Lakadors and Apes were having an all out battle outside. From the looks of things, some Lakadors and Apes had managed to enter the temple, but only recently. Wagner looked around and spotted Theta Company on top of the ridge. He grabbed his signal light and blinked it twice. He saw a small flash of blue from where Theta was. That was the signal.

The four Jaguars rolled over the brush and opened fire. The 80mm rounds blew away at the scene unfolding around them. Many Lakadors were blown from their trenches and Apes just ceased to exist. Wagner fired his assault rifle at the Lakadors in front of him. They screamed as the .22 cal rounds cracked their armor and penetrated their skin. The rest of Alpha and Theta Company opened fire as well.

Many of the Apes made a dash for the entrance only to be cut down by the tanks and the combined efforts of the marines. When most of the Lakadors had been dispatched Wagner selected Lt. Buckman's platoon and ordered them to post guards outside so nothing got in behind them. Wagner's platoon, who had Spyro, Cynder, Karson and Allison in it, went inside of the temple in pursuit of the apes already inside. Like before, they cleared it out fairly quickly.

When they reached the door where Spyro had first met Fang, they found that the door had tons of explosives strapped to it. A dozen apes along with a fairly large shadow ape rigged the bombs. The shadow ape turned to meet the marine strike team and Spyro recognized him instantly.

"Fang you don't know what you are getting yourself into. This time we will defeat you!" Spyro said, anger in his voice as he remembered the times Fang had made him go evil.

"I would like to see you try." And with that, he pressed a detonator in his hands, blowing the door open. When the dust settled, there were roars and hushed hissed coming from the inside of the room. Wagner visibly flinched. He remembered back on Sirus 12 when they entered a similar room and was frightened to know if the same thing awaiting inside of there as well.

He got his answer a heartbeat later as the Plague rushed out of the open doorway and attacked the apes. The apes used their swords and cut down the Plague quickly. Fang laughed as he and his apes went inside of the room. He turned and fired a series of dark blasts from his staff trying to detour the marines from following.

"Orders sir!" One of the marines asked. Wagner didn't move.

"Sir, what are your orders?!" Another marine asked. Wagner still didn't move. Sergeant Malarkey couldn't wait any longer.

"Alright let's go after them! Spyro! You take point, Cpl. Begonte cover him! Pvt. Smith! You take rear guard! Alright let's move!" The sergeant bellowed. The marines filed through the doorway. Reluctantly, Wagner followed as well.

They went deep into the large room and found a doorway on the opposite side. They continued inward and proceeded deeper into the structure. Some Plague attacked them on the way but were cut down by the marine strike force. They then came into a large room. A few hundred yards from them there was a large chasm cut into the enormous room. They could see no end to the large cavernous room. They did, however, see a platform in the center of the chasm. It looked like it was a few hundred yards in diameter and it was connected to there location by two gondolas. The gondolas were connected to the structure by large metal poles.

The marines could see Apes boarding the left gondola and it revved to life and moved towards the platform in the distance. The marines cleared the deck with assault rifle fire and they moved onto the other gondola. It too revved to life and moved towards the platform.

"Take up positions!" Malarkey yelled. The marines moved and set up firing positions along the walls. The gondola had two levels. It had two ramps in the center that connected the lower level to the higher. A large bridge cut across and connected the second level's opened up center together. A pole in the center held the gondola attached to the metal rod above. Karson and Allison set up positions in the forward section. Spyro and Cynder stayed in the middle. Their gondola had caught up to the other one just enough for the marines to fire their assault rifles at it. Some apes who did have a weapon shot back. Fang also returned fire with his staff.

A few Plague had used the metal rod connecting them to the platforms to board the gondola. The marines fired at them and managed to keep their gondola under control. They eventually reached the platform and they jumped off. The apes then started to fire on the marines for they had reached the platform first. Spyro used his ice breath and formed cover for the marines to hide behind. They dove behind it and returned fire. Cynder used her fire breath and took out the lead apes. Spyro used his electricity to fling apes off the edge of the platform. They screamed as they tumbled helplessly into the abyss.

In all the confusion of the fire fight, they didn't notice the gondolas leave and return across the chasm.

Soon all that were left were Fang a few Ape commanders. The marines continued to fire their assault rifles. The ape commanders got close enough to use their hammers. A few marines were knocked back but they managed to cut them down with their combined efforts. Spyro and Cynder dispatched the rest pretty quickly. Karson and Allison were on Fang. He used his staff to keep them at bay, but their ice and fire attacks were beginning to take their toll. Fang roared and grabbed his sword. He slashed it at Karson and caught him in the chest. The metal armor the he wore protected him from being sliced in half, but he was flung backwards and landed next to a pillar.

Allison used her ice and broke the sword in half. Fang threw the handle at her and she narrowly dodged it. By this time, the 10 man marine squad, spyro and Cynder, had defeated the apes and went to assist Karson and Allison in taking down Fang. Spyro charged at Fang and nearly dodged a swipe from his claws.

"Hah, you think you can stop me? Fang, king of the apes! You will fail!" With that he took another swipe nailing Spyro in the chest and sent him flying backwards into a cluster of marines. Cynder jumped up to attack him but was knocked out of the air. The other marines were knocked off their feet by another swipe. Fang grabbed his staff and pinned them to the floor with dark energy.

Lt. Wagner couldn't move. He didn't need Fang to pin him with dark energy, for he was already frozen where he stood. He watched as Fang defeated his men. He had to help, but he couldn't move. He saw Karson start to get up but Fang knocked him off his feet and kicked him across the platform. Fang let out a laugh as he then walked over to Spyro. Spyro struggled but to no avail. Fang brought his staff onto Spyro's back. He let out a loud roar of pain as the sharp tip on the staff penetrated his skin. Blood began to flow from the wound.

"Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!! Did you honestly think it would be that easy? How pathetic." He walked over and pulled a marines side arm from its hoister and walked over to Spyro again.

"How about this, I will spare you life as well as your friends if you just turn yourself over quietly." Spyro looked at Cynder, her eyes were pleading with him not to do it. He had to protect her, but he knew that Fang would never hold his end of the bargain. Fang pointed the pistol at Spyro.

"Well if it's so hard for you to choose, I will do it for you. Farwell you pathetic whelp." Fang said with anticipation in his voice. Spyro heard Fang working the pistols slide and knew that it would be over in a few moments. If he had tried harder, none of this would have happened. Now he was going to suffer the price of failure. He clenched his eyes shut and prepared for the inevitable.

Spyro heard a loud CRACK and surprisingly, he didn't feel a thing. He opened his eyes and saw Fang grasping his own hand and screaming in pain. Spyro saw blood flowing from his hand. He turned his head and saw Lt. Wagner, grasping his own pistol, its barrel smoking from its recent discharge.

Fang snarled and reached for his staff. Wagner fired off two more shots. One pinged off of Fang's helmet and the other found his skin and Fang shuddered under the bullets impact. He raised his staff and fired a dark blast. Wagner rolled left and fired off three more shots from his position on the ground. One hit Fang in his shoulder just inside the slit in the armor. Another pinged off of his chest armor and the last one found his exposed leg skin. Fang roared and fired his staff again. This time, Wagner couldn't roll in time. He was hit square in the chest. His armor began to melt where he had been hit. He flew back a few dozen yards and finally came to a rest slumped on him back. His armor smoldered as the dark energy boiled away at it. Fang laughed and charged up his staff for another shot.

Karson staggered as he got on his feet. He saw Lt. Wagner take that hit and he knew that he probably wasn't doing to well after that. He ran over and used his fire attack on Fang. He roared and used his charged up dark blast on Karson. Karson jumped forward and dodged it in time. He used another fire blast which caught Fang in the chest. He slashed with his claws and knocked Karson away and he landed next to Spyro.

When Karson's hand touched the dark energy that encased Spyro, it glowed light orange. Getting an idea, he focused his energy into his hand and placed it on Spyro. The dark energy blasted away and Spyro was free. He got on his feet and they nodded to each other. While they did this, Fang walked over to Wagner and grabbed him. He threw him across the platform and he landed next to some marines pinned under dark energy. He was still conscious and he coughed up some blood. Karson ran over to free Cynder and Allison from her their bindings. Spyro went to fight Fang.

Fang swiped at Spyro with his claws and Spyro evaded and jumped on top of his head. He grabbed Fang's helmet and pulled it off. He breathed fire onto Fang. He screamed and swiped at Spyro who managed to dodge but Fang swiped a second time and it knocked Spyro off of him. Spyro used his wings to regain his balance and used his earth blast which blew Fang back. Fang reached for his staff and charged it up. He laughed as he had Spyro in his sights. The dark crystal suddenly shattered and the energy exploded outwards. Fang looked in surprise as the he turned and found five marines aiming their assault rifles at him. They opened fire and the bullets pinged off of his shadow armor. He roared and he slashed his staff at the marines. Spyro jumped on top of his head and used his ice breath which froze him and then used his earth and knocked him across the floor.

Fang got up and roared in defiance. Spyro and Cynder both walked up and joined paws. They knew what they had to do in order to beat him. Spyro knew that before he had been foolish, trying to defeat Fang by himself when in reality, they should have worked together. They built up a powerful fire fury which unleashed a wall of destruction which sent Fang over the edge and of the platform. He roared as he fell off and into the abyss. Spyro and Cynder walked to the edge and looked down. There was only blackness down there. They saw something shimmer and they realized that the abyss was filled with liquid dark energy. Spyro smiled at Cynder and she did likewise. They joined in a kiss and hugged each other. Fang was finally defeated and they were finally clear.

The rest of the marines were freed and they got Lt. Wagner. He was still conscious, but he was badly injured. They carried him to the center of the platform. They started to look around and realized that there was an elevator in the center of the platform. It revved to life and they descended into the structure. They came into a room with a large purple crystal in the center of the room. They walked around. It appeared to be some sort of command center. It had control panels, lights, switches, and other things the marines didn't recognize.

The gondolas were on their way back to the platform in the center of the chasm. Unknown to the marines, they were loaded with a Lakador strike team. And unknown to even the Lakadors, Plague were hitching a ride on the connecter which held the gondola to the metal rod which guided it to the platform.

Jason stayed amongst the shadows. He didn't want to be seen by the Lakadors. He looked up and saw the dozens of Plague hitching a ride on the cup link. He looked into the reflective metal of the gondola and saw just how different he really was. Earlier he had seen a reflection of himself and was disgusted. His body had completely changed. But now, he looked all the more human. He had managed to regain his human face, human physique and basic humanoid features. Even his claws were disappearing and being replaced by his regular fingers. He had also noticed that he didn't have to focus in order to maintain control over himself. It was as if the presence inside of him was being considerately weakened. He also noticed that, instead of the pure purple pupils in which the Plague had, he was regaining his brown eyes and his skin was beginning to turn a darker, more tanned color then the pale or purple skin color of the Plague. His spine was returning to its position which meant that he could walk or run on his legs instead of all fours.

But the one feature of the Plague that still accompanied him was the horns that protruded from his elbows, back, shoulders, and knees. These made him look more of the Plague then what a human should look like. He started to take the time to think to all of the weird stuff that had happened to him. He thought about when he had been told that he was an adopted child and that his parents were missing. He had never known his real parents. Even after an exhausting long, and effortless search, he had yet to know of his true origins. His foster parents said they found him in the brush, crying and alone. He sighed as he thought about his past. He wondered how was it that he was even able to be retaining his humanity in the first place. All the other marines with him were killed or turned into one of those things.

The gondolas came to a halt and the Lakadors left them and headed to the elevator. Jason managed to get to the elevator without being seen and noticed that the other Plague were just sitting there, not moving from their position. They just stared blankly into the sky, their purple eyes gleaming and giving off an eerie glow. It was no less then creepy. The elevator descended into the platform and Jason saw that they were coming into some sort of control room. He saw marines standing around, oblivious to the visitors that were coming down the lift.

Karson stared at the dark crystal. He felt as though it were a threat to him and all of the marines in the room. He didn't even notice that the elevator had come down, neither had any of the marines in the room. He did hear sounds behind him and turned just in time to see the marines being seized by Lakadors. Spyro was grabbed and pinned to the floor along with Cynder. They grabbed Allison and put her in a headlock. Wagner, being injured as he was, didn't put up any fight and they just let him lay there.

A Lakador approached Karson, its side arm drawn and pointed at Karson.

"So we finally have you! After eluding us for so long we finally have you. Now that we have all of you, we can finally use the Final Solution!" The Lakador said. The rest of the Lakadors roared in approval as they heard him speak.

The Lakador placed his pistol on Karson's neck.

"You will do as we say or your friends won't be alive for much longer." He said, he motioned towards Spyro and they brought Spyro over to him. He sneered. He then ordered some Lakadors to place their side arms against Cynder and Allison's heads for a form of persuasion.

"Now you will follow me right now." The Lakador said to Karson. Karson reluctantly started to follow.

"This is quite enough! Field Commander Yahade' stand down now." A stern voice called out. Karson looked and saw that the same hooded figure they had encountered in the ruins of Threshold standing in front of him. When the Lakador saw him, he let his pistol drop from his hands and he let go of Karson and went into a kneeling stance.

"Oh great warrior Rithul, what honor do we owe for your presence?" Yahade' said in his kneeling position. The hooded figure removed his hood revealing his blond hair and human face.

"Rithul? That's your name? Just who the hell are you?!" Karson asked the un-hooded figure (Rithul).

"Yes, my name is Rithul. It doesn't matter who I am, as long as you all are safe and out of the Darkmaster's reach. Yahade', order your men to release the marines and the others." Yahade' did as he said and released the marines. When Cynder was released, she ran to Spyro's side and they got into a hug. When they did this, two dragons walked up and accompanied Rithul. One was the exact purple dragon who Spyro kept seeing in his dream. The other was a white dragoness.

"So what is going on around here, what is that, and how do you know these Lakadors?" Karson said pointing to the dark crystal.

"What is going on is that Fang is trying to bring back the Darkmaster using that crystal. He needs it in order to bring him back. It contains trace amounts of the Darkmaster's powers and he needs to have it." Rithul said, pointing at the dark crystal in the center of the room.

"I know the Lakadors for one reason and one reason only. They were part of the council." Karson went wide eyed when he heard this.

"Well if they were on the council then why are they attacking humanity and dragons?" Karson asked.

"Because they feared that you, having no memory of your ancestral ties, would release the Plague from their slumber and let loose hell on the galaxy once again."

"Well how do you know his name then? And you still haven't given me a strait answer to what's really going on! Just why is it that we are so special! How the hell do you any of us!" Karson said almost raising his voice into a scream. Rithul looked at the dragoness by his side and she nodded, so did the purple dragon on his other side.

"It's okay Rithul. They deserve to know the truth. Go ahead." The dragoness said in a soft voice.

"Karson, the reason why I know all of you, is because... you, Spyro, and field commander Yahade', you are... brothers."

After he said this everyone in the room fell silent. No one spoke as they took in the information. The silence was finally broken by Spyro who almost stuttered through his entire sentence.

"So, we a-are brothers?" The purple dragon looked at him and closed his eyes searching for the right words.

"Long ago, during the Great War, many dragons and Ancients were born. Many dragons mated with humans and usually there were one of three possible offsprings from this mating: a human, a dragon, or a Lakador. The reason being is that Lakadors are a mix of the two species. Spyro, Karson, Yahade' your father was a human and your mother was a dragoness." He sighed and thought some more before continuing.

"Now there was a prophecy that the chosen ones who would destroy all darkness and return light to its rightful place. It was prophesized that there would be a purple dragon who would lead the group of others who would specialize in their elements. Naturally, the Darkmaster knew about this and he tried to find these special children."

Rithul saw Karson, Allison, Spyro, and Cynder put a look of confusion on their face and he knew they were confused by the fact that the Darkmaster was involved in the Great War. He motioned for the purple dragon beside him to stop and he cleared his throat.

"The Darkmaster, during his quest for power, found out about the Plague and the Great War somehow and used his dragon time as well as the time traveling abilities of the Ancients to travel into the past. He wanted to use the Plague as his own personal army to conquer all that stood before him. And with his immense dark powers, he almost succeeded." He noticed that they now understood and nodded to the dragon beside him to continue the tale.

"The Darkmaster hunted everywhere he could find to find any trace of power during the Great War. When he learned of the prophecy, he wanted to capture the children and harness their powers for evil. When we heard of this we tried to locate as many of these children ourselves and were some what successful. We tried to find them and protect them, but they were so young, and they were to powerful. Sadly, we could only find and capture ten out of the original thirty prophesized masters. The Darkmaster captured them and used them for his bidding. We had no choice so in order to save the rest; we sent the others into the future where they could possibly assist in other ways. We couldn't allow them to fall into the Darkmaster's grasp. We then fired the Final Solution, the weapon of light that we had managed to build to stop the Plague. We were only partially successful though. The Darkmaster intervened and damaged the weapon network and the Plague was transported, not destroyed. Now they can use dark crystals to return. We had sealed these crystals away inside of our temples and hoped that no one would be foolish enough to re awaken them. After his defeat, the Darkmaster focused his efforts on the Council and he used the captured chosen ones to destroy the Council. After an agonizing decade, the Council was disbanded and we fled to the far reaches of the galaxy. The Ancients going to Earth, the dragons came here to the dragon realms but a large amount was lost and we never heard from them again. The Lakadors managed to escape and have managed to maintain their memories of the Great War and have, to this day, kept with the Council's task of protecting the temples and keeping the Plague from escaping. The other races of the Council also sought refuge in other areas. Where, we don't know. But it seems that now even the Lakadors have failed in the duty of the Council."

Lt. Wagner heard this and knew just how the Plague had been released. It was by the actions of him and his men that doomed the galaxy. He hung his head low in shame with these thoughts. The dragon continued his tale.

"But it seems that not all is lost. Now that we have managed to find five out of the ten we sent into the future, we can now use the Final Solution again and hopefully, this time, we can succeed in destroying the Plague."

Karson knew which five they had located and knew what he was destined to do.

"How do we fire the Final Solution?" Rithul and his dragon companions looked at each other and knew that they could rely on them.

"The weapon requires an exponential amount of light energy to be fired. It requires two special light crystals and the energy within you all to be used. These crystals are located in temples scattered throughout former Council held worlds and they need to be found and retrieved if the weapon is to be used." Rithul responded.

"You shall know their locations with these." The dragon said handing them a pad with a map detailing the entire dragon realms on it.

"So we get these crystals, fire the Final Solution, and stop the Darkmaster from returning?" Karson asked.

"That is correct." The dragoness responded.

"Well I am in. Anyone else in on this?" He turned to the rest of the marines and Lakadors.

"We're in." Spyro and Cynder said in unison.

"We will give assistance in any way possible." Lt. Wagner said.

"We too shall help. Now that you all know the truth, now we can be allies." Yahade' said. Spyro and Karson smiled and Yahade' returned the smile.

"After all, family should look after each other." Yahade' said.

"Right." They shook hands and gave each other a hug.

Lt. Wagner watched and tried to really take in the situation. He sighed and tried to move, but the burns on his chest throbbed in pain and his arms felt heavy and ached with pain. He knew deep inside that maybe, just maybe, they just might win this war after all.

"You five are the chosen ones. Karson, Allison, Spyro, Cynder, Yahade', the fate of all existence rests with you. I just wish the others could be here. Sadly, we don't know where the others are and many of the corrupted ones died during the war. If any survived, we doubt they could have lasted much longer without their master. Thankfully we managed to send him back to his time and kept him there permanently. Hopefully he will stay in his state and never return."

"Well with us around, he will never return." Spyro said.

"Maybe we could also find out where the other masters are." Allison said.

"Well we would have to do that later; they would probably be scattered amongst the colonies of Earth and other areas we don't even know about." Karson said and Allison smiled at him.

During their conversation, the Plague who had been stole ways, got off the cup link and started to trickle inside of the room without anyone else noticing. Jason was in the shadows and heard every word spoken. He was amazed at what he had just heard. He then heard sounds coming from the roof. He looked up and saw several Plague.

He knew what was about to happen and considered warning the others but knew if he left his concealment, he would be shot. Before he could actually come to a decision, the Plague ambushed the men inside of the room

The Plague had taken the marines and Lakadors completely by surprise. In such close quarters, there was no way to really put up a good fight. There was very little distance between them and the enemy and they would have to fight hand to hand, something that would be lethal to do against the Plague.

Spyro used his fire breath and Cynder used hers as well. Karson used his fire abilities and Allison used her ice. Yahade' really had no idea what his powers were but used his skills with hand to hand combat to dispatch the Plague. Suddenly, a blast of dark energy exploded on a Plague trying to attack a marine. Its origin: Yahade's hand. He was stunned to say the least, he pointed his arm outwards, trying to do what ever he had just done, and again, a blast of dark energy left it and cascaded towards Plague.

The marines managed to keep the Plague under control but they began to get dangerously close. The Lakadors were in the same predicament. Suddenly a wave of light blasted through the room and the Plague screamed and vanished.

The white dragoness next to Rithul was glowing a bright white from her recent use of a light fury. The fury had done more then just destroy the Plague in the room, it had flung Jason from his position. This time, he didn't have a chance to flee back into the shadows; Spyro had spotted him and fired a crack of electricity at him. He screamed as the electricity coursed through him and he was flung into the center of the marines and Lakadors. He got up and whimpered as they pointed their assault rifles at him. He saw strange looks on their faces and knew it was because of his human/plague look. He waited for them to fire their weapons, but the moment never came.

"Interesting, he shows signs of both human and Plague traits." Rithul said,

"Could it be that this one has built a resistance to the darkness?" The purple dragon asked him.

"Maybe, soldiers hold your fire; I want to investigate this one." Rithul walked up to Jason and placed his hand on Jason's forehead. Jason didn't know weather to be afraid or calm. He knew one thing though: they weren't going to kill him, not yet anyway.

"Can it be?" Rithul asked as he placed his hand on Jason's head. He motioned the light dragon over. She too placed her paw on Jason's head and it glowed a bright white. Jason's body glowed with light energy and the Plague features vanished and were replaced with a human decked out in UERMC battle gear. He slumped onto the floor and shakily got up.

"It is! It is! Thank god we have found you!" Rithul said in astonishment.

"Who, who is he." Spyro asked.

"Spyro, this is one of the chosen ones! We have found another one!" Rithul said, his voice still in astonishment.

"Who me? I am not special!" Jason said.

"Ah but you resisted the Plague's influence. That has never been seen before. And you posses a strong current of electricity within you which can only mean one thing: you can master electricity." The dragoness beside Rithul said.

"So we have found another one after all!" Allison said in sheer happiness.

"Soldier what's your name?" Sgt. Malarkey asked.

"Soldier, I should be asking you that!" Jason shouted. Malarkey saw the Staff Sergeant emblem on the marine's uniform and stiffened to attention and saluted him.

"My apologies sir!" Jason returned the soldiers salute and looked him over.

"That's more like it. To answer your question though I am SSgt. Pete Jason of Theta Company."

"So you were in charge of that recon group that was lost in the woods the other day." Lt. Wagner said moving over with the help of two other marines.

"That is correct sir."

"Well seeing how you are involved with all of this, maybe you should get transferred to Alpha Company."

"That would probably be wise sir." Jason said. His stomach growled and he remembered he hadn't eaten anything since before all of this.

"Well all of you need to get some rest. You all have a big journey ahead of you and you need your strength if you want to succeed." The white dragoness said to them.

"Wait, before we go, I want to know one thing, who are our parents then?"

"Your parents were great and powerful. They were the ones who fired the Final Solution and banished the Darkmaster. Your parents were truly great." The dragoness said.

"So they are probably dead now?" Spyro asked in disappointment.

"More then likely." The purple dragon responded.

"You should go and get some rest. Take the elevator and it shall take you to the top of the structure and you should arrive in the dragon temple."

"Wait, we are underneath the dragon temple?" Spyro said looking up.

"Yes you are. This place was a command post during the war and is accessible by that elevator. Now go, time is your true ally and with the armies of the ape out there looking for the crystal over there, you need to set up proper defenses." Rithul said. They all nodded and boarded the elevator.

"What about you? Where will you all go?" Spyro asked.

"We will be around; we wouldn't put the full burden on you all now would we? We will catch up." The dragoness said.

The elevator revved to life and it ascended up towards the dragon temple above. As it ascended, Wagner relayed a message to all UERMC units involved with the operation above (theta and delta companies) to fall back to the temple.

Wagner wondered how he was going to explain this one to Colonel Dyke.

Rithul watched the elevator disappear in the distance and looked over to the dragoness beside him.

"So Hethina, do you think we should have told them the truth about their parents?"

"Oh Rithul, I know that they are smart and will be able to figure it out on their own. They are the chosen ones after all and we can't look after them forever."

"Your right, Diablo, what do you think?" Rithul asked the purple dragon next to him.

"I think Hethina is right. They look like they can hold their own. Although they are still young and will require guidance. I think we can rest easy with them as the chosen ones. You two should be proud. I know they will be strong." Diablo said to Rithul.

"Your right brother. We can rest easy knowing that they are the chosen ones. I just wish that all the others could be here as well."

"We did all we could Rithul. We had no other choice but to kill them, they were about to slaughter hundreds of innocent people."

"Your right. Let's go, we should probably go up and help explain to their leaders about the situation. I doubt they will be able to take all of this in." Rithul said walking over to the elevator, which by now had descended back down to the room. Diablo chuckled, as did Hethina. They got on the elevator and it ascended up to the dragon temple.

Deep down in the abyss separating the central platform and the main temple, (where the gondola part happened) a hand reached out of the dark energy and clenched its fist. An evil laughter filled the chasm as an evil was reborn even stronger then before.
