Hey everyone! So my good friend Novastar (who is doing a collaboration with me on chapter 10) made this song for me! It's of Max's murder of his step-father in chapter 6. I hope you enjoy! In the words of Novastar, this explains the music a bit:
"it starts off kind of melodic and sad, because it really isn't in most peoples nature to be able to kill another person. in the scene, his stepdad is down and unconscious and Max is looking down on him the idea of what he wants to do in his mind..
then, at 00:39 He thinks of his mother and the hardships they had, a slow scene of her struggling to take care of Max appears..
at 01:00 when that first power chord kicks in, the scene montages to the acts of violence against Max and his mother by his stepdad...with the second power chord, .the final chiming bells accompany the image of his mothers body..
01:19 Max makes his decision lights the matches and tosses them casually, turning towards the window and the fire escape, his dark smile spreading. this part is all in slow motion. the flames spreading behind him and silhouetting him in blackness, except for his eyes.
the rest of the scene is Max on the street now, slowly backing up as he watches the inferno intensify, then turning and walking down the dark street out of sight."
