The Search For You

#10 of Poems and Such

A poem/song I did while goofing off on my computer. Which is a lot.

Softly I spoke the words she would never hear, I knew it was too late

So I've gone and carried on such is the cruel hand of fate

I only pretended to act strong and held my head high

And never knew she had already said goodbye

So is the reason I cry

Where have I gone? What have I done? To make you want to say goodbye

Know that I lose myself every time you're on my mind

No matter how far I've gone know that I could never find another you

Here in this lonesome place your name rings true

It's in this place that I search for you

So when the day comes when I leave this place

Will you hear me when I say your name?

Or will my words fall on deaf ears again?

By now the roads have grown longer and still I persevere

That faint glimmer of hope signals to me that you are near

With hope in heart I carry on the search for you

What keeps me going is the love I hold true

That love I hold for you

No matter where you've gone, no matter how hard I try

I know it's weighing on your mind

So close yet so far away I continue my search for you

Here in this paralyze what must I do?

Until the journeys end I search for you

So when the day comes when I leave this place

Will you hear me when I say your name?

To ensure me that it's not in vain

And when the darkness covers us at night

I hold your hand and say what is true

The time is now to make things right

I still love you

The Bond (Spoken True Verse)

I hold the future in my hands and ask you this Will you walk with me now and forever? With you, I'll share my love, my life For we are one and with you I'm complete This band, a symbol of my undying love I ask that you be mine, forever

Sorrow

Slowly I lowered my head and knew he was gone My heart heavy with sorrow and confusion The world seemed a colder place now more than ever At that moment nothing else mattered Shaken and numb I broke down in tears No more would I hear his voice,...

My Curse

She had turned and walked away, left with remorse in her heart She had waited for me but no longer She once asked me if I loved her and silence was my reply Knowing I may die alone never seemed to bother me Until the day I realized I was alone on...
