of course being the person i am, it'll take a lot more words.. but anyway!

Possession
Is it better to have and lose it,
Or never know possession?
Is it better to have a scar,
Or to have unmarred soul?
Those who have it would say,
Better to know the feeling and lose it
Those who never had it would claim,
Worse to lose it than never know the joy.
Every day is a challenge,
A new possession
Every moment is a lamentation,
Of things that once were.
Not a day passes that I do not wish,
To be free of the burden of what once was.
Every day I wish I could forget,
Dreams that never became.
But alas despite the wishes
Put out by the loneliness of clichés
I still look up at the sky, the endless skies
Impervious to pain, scars from the poison rain
