Last Goodbyes

Hiro pulled the gem from the stone dragon head's eye. "Well, that's the last of them. I can go to the Blue Star and be with Lucia now."

Hiro's triumph was rewarded with excited cheers from his friends; all of this excitement didn't sit well with Ruby however.

"What's wrong Ruby? You should be happy." Hero asked.

The little dragon gave an annoyed sigh. "I'm glad you will be happy Hiro, but I've been with you my entire life. I was happy when we were together. Then Lucia came along and changed everything. You hardly notice me anymore."

Hero blushed slightly. He could hear the gang murmuring behind him. This only caused him to blush further. He thought for a moment. "I guess I have been neglecting you a little bit. Why don't we stay at Grandpa Gwyn's house tonight? We can set off in the morning."

"Um...Hiro...I don't think Gwyn would be happy about us suddenly inviting four strangers over without telling him." Ruby interjected.

Hero turned to his friends. "Would you guys mind sleeping in the dragonship while we spend the night at my grandpa's house?"

Ronfar got a sly look in his eyes. "You really are a chick magnet, although I have to admit, I never thought you were that type."

Hiro scratched his head in confusion. "Huh?"

Jean stepped in before Ronfar could answer. "We'd be happy to. Have fun."

***************

A small candle illuminated Hiro's bed. Hiro's cape and shirt had been casually tossed on the ground beside the bed. A blanked covered Hiro from the waist down. Ruby was sitting on Hiro's bare chest. Hiro began stroking Ruby's head. "It was nice of Gwyn to sleep on the couch and give us some privacy."

"Yeah," Ruby replied, still looking a little depressed.

Hiro stopped petting Ruby. "You still look depressed. What's wrong?"

Ruby sighed once again. "This is the last night I will spend with you. Those fifteen or so years were the best years of my life."

Hiro chuckled. "As far as we know, the only years."

"Exactly." Ruby said. "So shouldn't you give me something to remember you by?"

"Ruby, what could I have that you could possibly want?" Hero asked, confused.

Ruby got a sly look in her eye. "Oh, you'll think of something..." She said, backing up and sitting at the base of Hiro's stomach.

Hiro shot up onto his elbows, launching ruby onto his lap. "Whoa Ruby...I don't think I like where this is going." He laid back down as Ruby flew back onto his stomach. "I'm a human; you're a cat and- ack!"

He was stopped by the abrupt pain of Ruby jabbing her claws into his gut. Her claws retracted and he tried again. "Dragon, sorry. Besides, it's probably longer than you are."

"But Hiro, you never seemed to have any problem with me being around when you did it by yourself." Ruby argued.

"Yeah, but-" He couldn't argue; she had him. He was glad she was around to clean up the mess; it saved him the trouble and embarrassment of having to answer any questions Gwyn was sure to have. Hiro slid off his pants and tossed them to the floor with the rest of his attire.

Ruby reached behind her head and undid the knot holding the bow onto her neck. She still remembered Hiro giving it to her as a gift. It was what caused her to fall in love with him, and she felt naked without it. It fell to the floor with Hiro's clothing.

Hiro picked Ruby up, supporting her body with his palms, passing his thumbs between her front legs, and wrapping his fingers around her body. He placed her backside at the tip of his stiff member. "Are you sure you want to go through with this? You can always back out."

Ruby folded her wings on top of Hiro's hands. "No, let's continue." She took a large breath and braced herself for something she knew would probably be painful.

Hiro sighed. "Ok." He slowly eased her onto him. He went slowly because of the tight fit and his unwillingness to hurt his friend.

Ruby was panting sharply. She wasn't expecting it to be so difficult, but at last, the head of his penis finally slid into her tiny body.

The pain had finally ebbed, and as her body eased around him she began to feel the pleasure that she had awaited for longer than she remembered.

Hiro gently moved her soft body up and down. It wasn't much, but it was enough for him to experience some pleasure. They began panting and moaning. Ruby's front paws reached to where they were joined, wetting her paw in the juices. This escalated until Hiro released his seed into Ruby's body.

Ruby enjoyed the sensation of the warm, viscous fluid inside of her. Ruby was suddenly hit by an indescribable sensation, making her wings shoot upward. She couldn't explain it; she only knew that it felt wonderful. The sensation peaked and instantly dissipated, leaving her wanting more.

Hiro slowly pulled Ruby off, and set her down on his stomach, a thick, milky liquid dripping from both of them. Ruby quickly licked up the mess, savoring the flavor of their mixed juices.

"Hiro, I want to th-" she said, stopping when she turned around to discover he had fallen asleep.

She walked up his chest and licked his face. "Good night, Hiro." She said as she curled up on his stomach and fell asleep. She was happy she got to spend one last night with the man she loved.

A new Beginning

It had been several weeks since Hiro left. Ruby moved to Taben's Peak shortly after he left. Nall had been kind to her, but was understanding of her situation and kept his distance. Every evening, Ruby sat on the railing of the playground, staring up at the Blue Star, her melancholy expression kept the children from approaching her.

A voice came from behind her, "I told you not to get too obsessed with him."

She turned around to see a human looking Nall walk through the doorway. Transforming into his small dragon form, he flew onto the railing and joined her. He leaned up against her soft body. "I know it's hard, but you will get over it."

She sidestepped away from him and continued looking up at the Blue Star longingly, a tear falling from her eye. "What would you know anything about it? You never had anything like it."

Nall looked both puzzled and annoyed. "Ruby, come with me, I want to show you something."

She followed him into his private chambers. He flew behind the large chair in the back of the room.

Ruby sat down a few feet in front of the chair. She could hear Nall moving on the other side. He came out pulling a mirror with a golden frame in his mouth. He laid it down carefully in front of Ruby and sat next to her. "This is a rememberizer. I received it 1000 years ago when I went on a similar adventure. I've kept it hidden from the children."

Ruby looked surprised. "We had one of those too, but Hiro...took..." She broke off, looking sad and lonely.

Nall placed his paw on the edge of the mirror. The glass flickered and lit up. Ruby watched as the strange relic showed still images of Nall's old friends, and a scene of them together fighting Galeon. He removed his paw and the mirror went dormant. Nall's eyes were tearing after viewing the memories of his long passed friends.

Ruby didn't seem the least bit sympathetic. "You lost friends, I lost more than that."

Nall looked surprised. "They were my closest friends. You act like you've..." He suddenly became very concerned. He looked toward Ruby, who's embarrassed face wasn't reassuring him.

"Ruby, please tell me you didn't..." He said, almost panicking. She averted her gaze, tears welling in her eyes.

Nall tried his best not to look angry. "Oh, no. I told you not to get too attached. Not only did you not listen, you went and-"

"Shut up!" Ruby interrupted him. She didn't mean to shout, but she couldn't believe she was answering to him, about her personal life no less. "What would you know!? I lost the man I loved; you lost a few casual friends." She suddenly stopped and looked a little afraid.

Nall suddenly looked both angry and offended. That hurt." He transformed back into a human just as one of the children came to the door.

"Nall, I-" Ruby started.

Nall interrupted. "That hurt." He began walking toward the child. "You surprise me Ruby. I knew you could be a little rude, but I didn't know you were so cold." He said as he walked out the door with the child.

Ruby turned her focus back to the rememberizer. "I don't suppose you could show me more of Nall's life?" Se asked, not really expecting it to answer. To her amazement, the glass flickered and lit up. She gazed into it as it showed a scene of Nall and Luna, Althena as she knew her, sleeping by a campfire. She gazed upon their content faces as the former goddess snuggled with him like he was a teddy bear. Both looked more content than she had ever seen. She suddenly felt a sharp pain in her stomach, like she swallowed a heavy rock.

The image suddenly changed. Now it showed her arriving at Taben's peak after Hiro left. "You are welcome here as long as you like." The Nall in the mirror said in a surprisingly hospitable and friendly tone.

Ruby suddenly wanted to slap herself. She wanted to shrink from existence. 'Not even monsters are this low' she thought to herself.

Doing her best not to burst into tears, she flew out of the room as fast as she could. She had to find Nall.

The tears were clouding her eyes. She could barely see as she raced through the halls, narrowly avoiding running head first into the walls at several turns. She wandered out onto the deck of the little hideout. The sun had set, and darkness was shrouding much of the large open area. Ruby shook the water from her eyes. Franticly looking around before it returned, she saw a dark figure sitting on the edge overlooking the path up to the tree fortress.

Nall could hear sniveling behind him. "What are you doing up? It's late, you should go to-" he said, turning around, but stopped, realizing that it wasn't one of the children. "Oh, it's you." He sounded uninterested.

Ruby flew straight into his chest, nearly knocking him off balance. She began sobbing, soaking his shirt as she buried her face in it. Nall wrapped his arms around her and stroked her head. Ruby felt her stomach grumble, but ignored it.

Nall stood up. "Now that it's come to this..."

Ruby gasped in horror, flying back a few feet. "Please don't make me leave, I didn't mean-"

Nall chuckled. "Who said anything bout you leaving?"

Ruby stammered. "But...I just-"

Nall just smiled kindly, causing Ruby to relax. "I said you were welcome to stay as long as you liked. I meant that."

Ruby gave a big smile. What little moonlight that broke through the trees illuminated her tears, causing them to glitter as they escaped. She flew into Nall again.

Nall wrapped his hands around her body, holding her up. "I was going to say you sound hungry. There's a river with the best fish not too far from here. Do you think you can make it there?"

Nall transformed into his small dragon state again, and they flew off to a secluded part of the nearby river. With an incredibly steep, albeit not very long drop behind them, and the water in front, the area looked like it had never been touched by anyone's hands, human or beast alike.

Nall transformed into his human state only long enough to gather some wood and set it up before reverting back to his original small dragon form.

Once Nall stepped back, Ruby ignited the wood. The fire burned calmly and brightly. She turned around to see Nall hovering above the river. He suddenly dove in and came out with a large fish. He managed to drag the fish to she shore, despite its violent flopping. They both dragged it closer to the fire. Nall shook himself off and sunk his teeth into the still struggling fish.

"Shouldn't we cook it first? Or at least wait until it stops flopping around?" Ruby suggested.

Nall released the fish, which made a beeline for the water, only to be kicked back by Ruby's hind legs. Nall Chuckled. "Trust me, this fish tastes better fresh."

Ruby made a slightly disturbed face. "This seems a little too fresh for me."

Nall ripped a mouthful from the stomach of the still flopping fish. "If's greaf, oo food fry if." He said, still trying to chew the food in his mouth.

"What?" Ruby asked, confused.

Nall swallowed the fish he had in his mouth. "I said, it's great, you should try it."

The fish was struggling less intensely now. Ruby reluctantly took a small bite from the fish's back. Having found it to be just as good as Nall had said, she took a larger bite.

************

The fish skeleton lay several feet from the fire, where a content Ruby and mostly dry Nall were laying.

Getting up, Ruby walked over to Nall, who sat up as she approached. She gave him a long passionate kiss, which caught Nall off-guard, but he quickly relaxed into it. Ruby broke the kiss, leaving Nall wanting more. "That was for the fish and a good time."

Her tail flicked up as she walked away. The sweet scent caught Nall's nose, causing him to shudder slightly. "Oh Ruby..." He said playfully.

She turned her flank toward him, looking to see what he wanted. She saw his tail twitch. "Nall, don't go getting any ideas..." She said just as playfully.

Nall immediately pounced her, causing her to roll onto her back in the sand. He stood over her, his paws digging into the sand. Ruby looked up at his playful face. "Nall, we're going to get covered in sand."

"So?" Nall replied.

"You're still wet." Ruby countered.

"I don't think that really matters, do you?" He said, trying to hint something to Ruby.

Ruby wasn't as ignorant as Nall thought her. But when she felt something brushing up against her stomach, she began to think about their relationship. She remembered how they met, and how she came to live with him. She thought about how she had treated him, and how kind he was despite that. She thought about dinner. She suddenly realized how much she wanted him. He called her a dragon long before anyone else believed it. He had shown nothing but compassion despite her ungrateful boorishness. She quickly found herself in love with him.

She raised her head and looked between their bodies. Nall looked like he was using every amount of willpower he had to keep from ramming himself into her before she consented.

Ruby chuckled lightly. "I suppose you were planning on using that."

"If you can handle it." He replied.

"Ha! Try to keep up with me." Ruby threw back.

That was all the encouragement he needed. He leaned back slightly, positioned himself, and slid into her. He wasn't as gentle as Hiro, but being smaller, he didn't need to be. Ruby thoroughly enjoyed the sensation of mating with her own kind. Nall's soft body occasionally rubbed up against hers, further heightening the sensation. The fire's soft and warm crackling encouraged them to continue, their panting softly billowing into the night air.

Nall slowed, drooling slightly. Noticing this, Ruby tried to egg him on. "What, done already?"

With one final lunge, Ruby could feel a warm sensation on her insides. Nall pulled out, squirting her in the process. Ruby enjoyed the sensation of his fluids running down her body while she thought up a way to keep him from stopping. She had hardly begun.

"You made quite a mess." Ruby said suggestively.

Nall caught on quickly and, not wanting to end it himself, played along. "Well, I'll clean it up then." He lowered his face down onto her nether area. He began licking away his juices, exciting a giggle from the pink dragon. Having finished, he continued licking away at her sensitive parts.

Ruby began squirming. Panting heavily, her body convulsed as she expelled a tasty fluid. Nall more than happily slurped it down as well. He raised his head as Ruby rolled back onto her paws.

He began to turn away when he heard Ruby yelling in a stern voice. "Hold it right there!"

He turned toward her. "whaoof!" Was all he could say as she tackled him, pushing him onto his back. He looked at her, wondering what she was going to do next.

"I'm not finished yet." She said, confidently. A slight lick between Nall's legs was enough to summon what she wanted. As his shaft emerged, it was immediately covered by Ruby's mouth. This sudden and surprising action turned him on, and made him shudder in pleasure.

He put his front paws on her head, pushing her farther onto his cock. To his surprise, she managed to engulf the whole thing. "You really do have a big mouth."

Ruby ignored his comment and continued her work. Nall's body began twitching. It took a lot of effort to avoid accidentally being kicked by his forcefully twitching hind legs. Nall arched his back, pulling her forward and ramming himself farther into her mouth.

Ruby savored the flavor of the juice in her mouth. She swallowed it and pulled her head off of his disappearing member. "I hate to admit it, but that was better than Hiro's."

They chuckled and laid down by the slowly dying fire. "So, feel better now?" Nall asked.

Ruby yawned. "Not completely, but I'll get there."

Just as they drifted off to sleep Nall could hear an "I'm sorry..." coming from Ruby. He gave her a final kiss on the forehead and snuggled up beside her.

'Maybe she can help me get over my losses too.' He thought to himself as his thoughts were consumed by pleasant dreams of raising a family with Ruby by his side.

Farewell A firm bump woke Sayuri from a peaceful dream of her old home back in the cave. She missed the way her fur slid on the cool ice and the soft wisping of the wind through the cave. She looked to see what had bumped her. Nall was rolling...
