Well this is to whom is still reading this, I'm sorry but my computer wasn't fixed until today but I can post the new chapter now, just not as soon as I would have liked. Almost done, so here's chapter 14, and you all know the drill, you haven't read it then go back and I own all the rights to my own characters and ou people know who those are... Now let's get on with it!

*Chapter 14 *

*We didn't fully change back to humans, my legs, lower body and torso was still all wolf, I still had my tail and ears, I tried growling but it sounded exactly the same, "What's going on? We're still not normal!" *

*I looked around at all the others and their transformations were similar to mine, Nathan and Sam still had their wings, tail, lower body and torso of their animal, so did Garret, Hannah, Luke and Nate but they kept their ears and tail. *

*I started to panic, "Those must have been experimental cures.", 'I just screwed us over.' I growled at myself until Luke brought me back to my senses, "Dude it's alright, you did the best you could. You got us out safely and you almost sacrificed yourself for the rest of us. We can hide most of our animal features but our families will just have to accept who we are and what we have become. We can't do anything about it now." I looked at Luke surprised, him out of everyone, who was the most quiet, knew exactly what to say in this situation, "You're right... Thanks Luke." *

*He nodded and patted my back, "No problem, and we have to accept what we are as well. I'm not saying it will be easy but we can get through it." Everyone nodded, we closed the helicopter doors and headed back home, I leaned back against the door and fell asleep. I didn't have any nightmares, I just had a dreamless sleep, but now I can finally say that I'm free from Rex's hold, I smiled to myself after that. *

*A few hours had passed when Nathan woke me up, "Hey Gabe we're here." I rubbed the sleep from my eyes and got up, "Great." I walked over to Nate who looked nervous, "Hey what's wrong bro?" He looked back at me, "You know how I said I did the helicopter flight simulation?", "Yeah...", 'I have a bad feeling about this.' , "Well, I didn't do to well on the landing part of the simulation, ninety percent of the time I crashed into the ground and killed all the passengers." I looked back at him, "And the other ten percent?", "I crashed into a house. So we should jump out soon." *

*I turned around and opened the door, "Fantastic. Alright, we need Sam and Nathan to carry Hannah and Garret, everyone else, hope you land on something soft... GO!!" I jumped out with Luke and Nate close behind. I was able to land and roll with minimal damage, Luke crashed into a playground, while Nate landed in someones backyard, "Well that wasn't so bad." I turned and watched the helicopter finally crash into the ground causing an explosion that threw me onto my back, "That I could have done without." *

**I looked around to see we were back in my neighborhood, "Hey Nate? How did you know I lived here?" He climbed over the fence and dusted himself off, "You live here too? I crashed here because I live here." I looked back at him, "Weird Nathan lives here too."

I dusted myself off and watched as Nathan and Sammy flew down to us carrying Hannah and Garret. Sammy landed next to me and put Garret down, "I live up in Denver so I'm just going to go, I miss my family. Bye Gabe, thanks for everything."

She gave me a quick kiss and flew off. I watched her fly as Nathan nudged me, "Aww cute." I punched is arm and looked at Hannah and Luke, "So where will you guys go?" Luke was the first to answer, "I live up in Parker." Hannah answered next, "My sister lives closer to Castle Rock, I'll probably live with her until my parents accept the fact that I've changed and I can't do anything about it." I nodded as they were leaving, "What no kiss?"**

I grinned but Hannah wasn't as amused as she turned around and punched me in the chest, knocking the wind out of me, "That's for the smartass cracks you've made," she paused before she pulled me into a hug, "That's for everything else." I blushed as she turned and left, "You lucky dog." I looked at Nathan, "Ha! That was so funny."

** I rolled my eyes as Me, Nathan, Garret and Nate looked at each other, "Well, I guess this is goodbye until we see each other again." I shook hands with Nate, "Yeah, I guess so." I looked at Garret and Nathan, "Well this has been one hell of an experience." Nathan grinned, "That it has, but I will see you in school tomorrow.", "Yeah, you will."

I looked at Garret and ruffled his hair, "I'll see you later too." He swatted my hand away, "Yeah whatever." We all said our goodbye's and went our separate ways.

I looked around again and realised that this was the same area where me and Nathan fought after his transformation, I shook my head and continued walking to my home, 'I wonder how my parents will react. What if they don't accept me?' I sighed and tried to shake all the negative thoughts out of my head.**

** My thoughts were interrupted when someone landed in front of me, I freaked out and reflexively went in to slam my fist into his diaphragm. He was too quick, he turned his body, caught my arm and put me in a self defense hold that I couldn't get out of. **

*"Is this how we're always going to meet? You being all hostile towards me?" He had a familiar voice, I turned my head to see the same cheetah that gave me the cure in the canyon, "Hey! It's you." He grinned and released me, "Nice of you to remember me." He looked over me, "Grabbed the wrong cure?" I nodded, "Yep.", "Simple mistake, but congratulations on escaping, you've done quite well as a leader for someone your age." *

*I rubbed the back of my neck, "Thanks I guess... but how did you know we escaped?", "I saw you get captured." I growled at him, "Then why didn't you help us?!" He grinned, "What would be the fun in that? I knew you could handle it." I grabbed him by his shirt and barred my fangs, "This is serious. Do you know the hell you put me and my friends through? Garret was experimented on and Nathan was constantly electrocuted!" *

*He was unmoved by my anger, "Would you have freed those other kids if you weren't there? I knew from the start that you could handle yourself, as for your friends getting hurt, I apologize." I calmed down and let him go, "I wouldn't I guess... but because of you, I lost a friend in that escape, God knows what they could be doing to him!" He looked down on me, "You can get him back though. What use are you if you are still in prison?" I looked up at him still pissed, "I wouldn't be any use, but if this all never happened then Connor wouldn't be in that position.", "And everyone else who escaped with you would never see the light of day again." *

** His response caught me off guard, "I guess you're right... I will go back for him though." He nodded, "Good, now I really have to go, my family misses me." He turned around ready to leave until I grabbed his arm firmly to keep him from going anywhere, "Hold it, you're not leaving until you tell me who you are and why you're helping me." **

*He turned his head to look at me, "I'm Dasher, that's all I can say though, but you'll find out in time." I released him, "That's not an answer but whatever, knowing your name is a start." After that he just smiled at me, "Don't ever change Gabe." and like that he was gone. *

*I sighed to myself and continued walking up my street, 'I'll see you later Dasher.' I stood in front of my house and just stared at it, "Well... here I go." I climbed on top of the car, jumped the small gap between it and the house, and snuck back into my room. I stepped in and remembered that I was in that guards uniform, "I should probably change clothes." *

*I undressed myself and walked into my closet looking for anything to wear. I grabbed a black KO shirt, dark blue jeans and my DC Lacrosse hat. I changed into those clothes and walked downstairs, 'It's not that late so mom's still up and dad's at work.' When I got downstairs, she heard me and turned her head away from the t.v., "Gabriel!?" She got up and ran to me. *

I was soon smothered in hugs and kisses but I didn't care, I could see my mother again, "Hey mom." She looked at me with tears in her eyes, "What happened to you?" She looked at my tail and I lifted my hat so she could see my ears, "A lot, but I can explain it later, right now I'm just glad to be home." I smiled and hugged her.
