Hello furries! I have been busy with school work and personal goals so sorry about all the late posting. I really hope you enjoy this. And yes, before you ask, I love forests so that is why most of my TF stories are generated around them lol. If you would like to chat or have something to say, whether it be good or bad, please leave a comment. I hope you enjoy this story and if you leave a comment, it will help me figure out what is good or bad about the story. :D

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zvLmVcYB-SE&feature=related Song I listened too. Yes I am obsessed with piano. It helps fit the mood! If you have any songs you wish to tell me about, please let me know. I like techno, piano, rock, and punk. I do not listen to country or heavy metal. Sorry :3

Night's Embrace

Looking up at the house, I noticed the yellow paint that was around it was chipping slightly. I started to look around the house, and noticed a forest with a small brown trail caressing into the green foliage. Walking down the driveway, I read the address printed on the nearby mailbox. It said 136 Wolf Drive. The house belonged to my friend Robby Knight. Robby was part of a small family that seemed to live in the middle of nowhere. Now I was in the middle of that nowhere. I felt like a idiot clutching a small suitcase.

Checking my watch, I sighed when I saw that it was already 8:00p.m. "I am late." I thought as I walked up the driveway, and knocked softly on the door. I sighed as the autumn wind of the night started to brush my skin; I then heard a piercing howl. Birds started to fly out of the trees, and hurrying to escape the dangers. My attention started to skitter towards the forest, but before long someone answered the door. It was Robby, but I just call him "Knight" as a nickname.

"Glad you could make it Mark! You ready to have the best night ever?" He said loudly and padded my shoulder. We were both toe to toe. "Why don't we get you inside before you freeze to death?" He said while grinning. Knights black hair and grey eyes reminded me of a ghost. Course my orange eyes and blond hair reminds him of an orange. Knight always had a habit to disappear at strange times just like me and wind up in situations that had nothing to do with us. Knight was wearing jeans with a jacket. I was wearing a green tee shirt and jeans. I was still stuck in summer.

I shivered. Sometimes Knight gave me the creeps. He led me into the hallway that connected to the kitchen, and then showed me the family room. A black opening with stairs going bellow it told me the basement was by the family room. Surprisingly, just because the house outside looked bad does not mean the inside looked bad. The architecture was warm, and inviting. The floor was mostly a tan carpet except the kitchen and bathrooms which were a combination of black and white tiles. Knight even lit a candle on top of the fireplace. It smelled like cinnamon, reminding me of my warm home.

Deciding that it was best to thank Knight for letting me stay at his place for the night, I handed him a card. He smiled back and replied, "Not a problem." He pointed to the basement, and started to lead me down the basement. Reaching over, Knight moved his finger upward, clicking on a light switch. The basement had been finished with the same tan carpeting as the living room. A bed was set in the far corner, and a TV with a video game system was stuck close by. A few windows were scattered around since Knight's house is on a hill, his "basement" is more of a downstairs.

"So how do you like the place?" Knight asked.

"It's perfect."

Starting to feel comfortable with the atmosphere, I took off my shoes and made myself at home, jumping on his bed, and cuddling the nearby pillow. "I am SO worn out. I had to sneak out of my parent's house. That was not fun."

Knight nodded, "Ya, your parents are extremely strict. I would hate to have your parents." He said while clicking on the TV, and looking through channels.

"But at least your parents are home all the time. My parents always leave for business trips." Knight pauses and rolls his eyes. "All that I really want to do is spend some time with them and go off on an adventure."

I sighed loudly. "If only." I mumbled, and I started to drift my gaze towards the windows. Starring out into the forest, I lost myself in the greenery and majestic beauty of the forest. Then I saw something. Forgetting about the forest, I turned my attention toward the hostile red eyes starring towards me. Then in a split second they were gone. I shivered, notifying Knight about the presence.

"Ehh, it's probably nothing. You probably just caught a glimpse of a wolf or something." He said while shrugging it off. I decided to trust him, and also shrugged off what I saw.

The forest calls.

Deep inside the forest, two wolves like creatures standing on their legs talked to each other in hushed whispers. The one on the right had silver fur and deep emerald eyes while the one on the left had crimson red eyes with black fur. Both the wolves were built almost in the exact structure of a human, but they looked exactly like wolves.

"I told you the boy was at the house tonight. This would be the perfect time to strike." The emerald green eyed wolf said.

"Yes, tonight is the night Silver, but we must wait until the correct moment. I inspected the house, and the black haired boy was there just as you said." The black wolf said to the other wolf named Silver. "I believe he might have noticed me."

Silver shrugged, "Oh well Shadow. If it intrigues him even more to come to the forest then so be it. We might be able to get his friend to come along into the forest as well."

"Good. We need more to our ranks. We are thinning out as we speak." The black wolf named Shadow said.

Shadow and Silver exchanged their goodbyes within the confinements of the forest. Silver started to walk deeper and deeper into the forest until he encountered a spring.

"If only you had not transformed into this." Silver said, leaning down and looking at his reflection in the pool of water bellow him. "All that I did was walk through your land, and now look at me. Werewolves won't even let a sixteen year old without seeing him as an addition to their ranks. If only Shadow would have not have seen me walking through this exact same forest.

"Shadow may have bitten me long ago, but he also raised me."

Sighing, the wolf started to look up towards the moon. Radiating its melancholy light down, the moon stood in the sky silently, waiting for the next events to unfold. Grinning to himself, Silver started to think about his plan unfolding.

"Humans say werewolves are a myth. It's time to prove a human wrong. All because of a war between each of the werewolf's tribes, we need this human." Silver thought to himself. Silver then shook off the thoughts and looked into the reflection laid out in front of him.

"The spring is the only thing that is pure in this forest." Thought Silver as he watched the fish move back and forth inside the crystal clear water.

"I hope this human is prepared for what is in store for him." Silver thought while grinning to himself, and he let out a howl as the full moon was the brightest. After howling, the wolf started to walk into the spring. Feeling the cold water relax him, he closed his eyes, becoming one with the spring. A bright light started to creep up the trees, and the wolf grinned to himself.

"I really hope he is prepared."

Cold sweat started to dribble down my face. I was in a room full of darkness, nothing but a light at the end of the tunnel. I started to reach for it, hoping it will take me out of the room I was stuck in. Then a pair of red eyes darted out of the darkness with claws extended. It reached for me, and grabbed my shirt, tugging me into its domain. I tried to yell, but I could not produce the words from my mouth. I felt my heart banging on my chest, trying to get out of the prison it was set in.

I started to try to squirm, only to find the claws around my shirt strengthen its death grip. I was then hurled into the darkness, and surprisingly when I entered the other side, I was in shock to see a melancholy spring sitting in the middle of a quiet forest.

Curiously and cautiously walking forward, I saw that the spring was reflecting the moon that was above in the night sky. It had a beauty that only a few people could see in their life span. I jumped as I heard the water in the spring move behind me. I turned around to see a Silver wolf with piercing emerald eyes looking at me. He was on two legs, and looked exactly like a human. The only problem was the fur, muzzle, and tail. His lower fur was wet from standing in the spring. He did not look angry, in fact, he looked amused.

He mumbled one word.

"Mark."

The world started to spin. I felt like I was being sucked through a vacuum. I started to feel dizzy, almost nauseous. The green trees around me started to turn into a blur, while I started to fall backward. The wolf started to run toward me, and he put a paw bellow my head like he knew me from somewhere. It felt like a pillow, and I tried to stay because of the questions I had for him, but it was all in vain. The wolf started to mouth words, it looked more like shouting. I could read his lips.

"Mark? Mark! Are you ok?"

I then started to close my eyes, and waited for what would come next.

"AHHHH!"

I lifted myself upright, and realized I was back in Knight's room on the floor. The inflatable mattress was tucked underneath me, and I started to rub my head. My head felt like it was going to crack in two. My heart was racing away like it was in a marathon.

"Man, what a strange dream. I swear I was in Knight's forest." I mumbled as I looked over to the window to see everything was quiet. I jolted when I heard a snore come from the bed by me.

"Glad I did not wake him up." I thought as I got up, and stretched. I started to think about my dream, about the wolf, and the forest around him. I started to think about the spring, and everything. I tried to forget about everything, and rolled around on the inflatable mattress. I turned to the clock to see it was 12:30 A.M. I sighed. Maybe if I take a stroll in the forest, it would help me sleep after words.

I realized that maybe going out in ruby red briefs and a red tee shirt would not be suitable so I took my time grabbing jeans from my suitcase I brought to Knight's place. They felt snug and warm, and I walked toward the glass door to go outside. I was reunited with the cold air of the night.

Autumn was in full bloom. Even in the night I could tell that the leaves were changing colors. Starting to feel comfortable with the surroundings, I started to walk down the trail, and going deeper and deeper into the forest. I started to hear the sound of running water, and I thought about my dream I had.

The forest's quiet bliss suited me. I felt in tune with nature. The leaves cracked under my feet, and I started to feel as if someone was watching me. Moonlight shined through the trees, giving the forest a very eerie glow. I shivered as the white light bounced off trees, and through the forest. The sound of running water started to get closer and closer with every step I took. The forest felt like it was getting narrower and narrower. Thank God I was not afraid of small spaces.

I squeezed my way into a small crack to see a small waterfall moving into a very clear stream. It looked exactly as it did in my dream. Even freakier, I saw a silver wolf standing in the pool of water with his eyes closed, his silver fur reflecting in the moonlight. His same form was exactly how it was in my dream. I started to move closer to the spring, and I sat down for some reason. I had a weird feeling like the wolf was not going to hurt me.

Apparently, I sat on a twig and a loud breaking sound was thundered throughout the woods. I almost crapped my pants. The wolf opened his right emerald eye, and instead of being shocked a human was sitting by his spring, he grinned.

"I have been expecting you, Mark."

My heart thumbed. "How do you know my name?" I asked while almost stuttering. It may have seemed impossible, but I did not want to seem like a wimp in front of this towering wolf.

The wolf laughed. "This spring told me you were coming."

Another question then popped into my head. "How so?"

"You ask too many questions." The wolf said while grinning. "But I will tell you anyway."

"This spring can enter people's dreams."

I was shocked, petrified even. My legs felt like glue. "I-is that even possible?" This time I did stammer.

The wolf laughed again, maybe even louder than before. "Do you believe in myths?"

I shook my head, but then nodded as I realized I was standing in front of a talking, walking wolf.

"Good answer. Would you believe me if I told you this is magic?"

I nodded again.

The wolf smiled. "Now onto my next question, do you believe in werewolves?"

I nodded as fast as I could. He must have been enjoying this, taunting me with everything he says. I then felt something move within me. I don't know if it was courage or plain stupidity.

"How did you become one?"

The werewolf stopped smiling and his muzzle turned into more of a frown. "If you really want to know, I was walking down this same forest as you, minding my own business, when I was attacked by a werewolf known as Shadow." The silver werewolf then turned around, and showed me a bite mark that was more of a scar on the back of his right shoulder blade. I shivered.

"I was mad at first, but he raised me, teaching me the ropes of becoming part of his pack. I soon became more of a family member then a nuisance. He needed me, and I needed him. I realized that my human life was more of a chain that held me in place. Now I live by my own rules." The werewolf took his thumb, and pointed to himself.

"Well then why do you need me?" I asked. This question must have taken him by surprise.

"You sure ask a lot of questions. We need you because not all the werewolf tribes get along with one another....soundly. You will become a great member of our pack. You remind me of me in a way."

I was taken aback by his last sentence. I started to process the information in my head. They need me to become part of their pack so they can have an upper edge on other werewolves. So the silver werewolf called me in my sleep to lead me here in my dreams. I sighed loudly.

"I guess I have no choice then to go with you then?" I said as I realized the consequences of coming into the forest.

The werewolf shrugged, "Sorry kid, but that's just how life is. If you want to skip out, I guess I can let you go. Shadow will take it more personally though." The silver werewolf looked up into the tree, and I noticed a pair of red eyes beaming down onto the spring. He was waiting, ready to pounce on me if I decide to leave. Whether I liked it or not, I was in deep shit.

I never really had a family though, they are all stuck up jerks, and maybe I can convince Knight to join the werewolves considering he is one of my only friends.

"I guess I will join your cause." I never imagined myself saying these words. But perhaps this life would be more interesting.

The silver werewolf was surprised and I could tell the werewolf named Shadow almost fell out of the tree. They probably never had a human so reluctant to join their pack.

"Alright then, I guess that is settled. Why don't you come into the spring? We will move on with the ritual." Said the Silver wolf, and he offered me a paw. I took it and to my surprise, it felt warm and inviting. I took off my shoes and socks, deciding I did not need them anymore. The water felt cool, and the fish swam around my feet, lightly nudging them like they wanted me to come closer.

Shadow decided to jump out of the tree, and come down to watch the ceremony. He scared me a little bit with his red eyes and black fur, but I could tell he was smiling, glad to see another new face join their pack. I realized also that Silver was not muscular; on the contrary, up close he was pretty muscular. His arms and legs bulged outward while his naked chest surged in and out with every breath. For a very strong wolf he had a soft touch to him.

The werewolf held my hand tightly still, but let go as he realized I had my balance in the small spring. The werewolf then whispered something in my ear, "By the way, the name is Silver, thought you would like to know."

I nodded, and I asked, "So what now?"

"Well, you know how to become a werewolf from all the stories right?" Silver said.

"Ya, why?"

"I have to bite you. Sorry."

I winced lightly as I realized that the stories that kids would say to other kids were true at school.

Silver then said, "This may hurt a little." And before I could react, I felt fangs sink into my shoulder. The pain was pretty bad, but Silver was biting as soft as he could. I would hate to get on their bad side, and feel their bite when they are angry. Feeling his fangs leave my shoulder, I realized that the worst part was over, and I felt a weird sensation spread through my body.

"This is where the fun begins." Silver said as he grinned and watched as I started to morph in a werewolf.

My nose started to move outward into a muzzle, and my teeth started to fall down and disappear as fangs started to form. I felt something wobble on the top of my head to see ears had formed, and felt a new appendage behind my back. I realized that a tail was formed as well. A dark orange fur started to move across my legs, and up my body. My chest bulged outward and crafted into the muscle Silver had. Feeling my hands growing, I pulled up my hand to see it moving outward, and my nails falling off to reveal claws were forming. I looked down to see my pants were ripped, but fur had already covered the most exposable parts.

My shirt was also ripped due to the new fur growing, and I took my shirt off to show off my new form. I felt the last of the new orange fur cover my body, and Silver said the transformation was complete.

"How do you feel?" Silver asked while smiling at what he morphed.

"Like I could jump freaking skyscrapers." I said while jumping up and down, getting used to my new body. Silver and Shadow both laughed.

I then had another question. "Why don't we go include the other boy at the house in our pack? I know him so I think I could pull some strings."

"Sure, why the hell not." Silver while putting a large paw on my shoulder.

Shadow seemed to agree because he nodded.

"After we get your friend in our pack, how about we meet up with the rest of the werewolves?" Silver said beaming.

"You mean, there are more?"

I was stunned. How many werewolves are there?

"Of course. Now why don't we convince your friend over at the house?

Silver walked with me with his arm over my shoulder while Shadow was jumping from tree to tree.

Hopefully, Knight won't mind my new form.
