#10 of King

"Ok, what's the big deal?" Sage released Terra as they made their way outside of the portal she made and into a large stone wall area. Her face was blank, and for the first time didn't talk back to Terra about yelling at her. "What the heck did that half breed freak do to allow him to have that sort of power!?" again she said nothing as she made her way toward the large blacked plated door before her, the two guards standing there clapped their staffs to the ground as the door opened as she walked past without a glance. "Hey you crazy bitch tell me right now or I'll..." Sage grabbed his neck with her claw like hand as her eyes turned from the red to gold, slamming him to the wall hard as he gasped and clawed at her hand.

"Listen to me well human," she hissed looking at him with cold dead like eyes. "The reason I haven't killed you yet is because the king think of you as his son, because you come from the future and hold his blood line, but let me make myself very clear so you can understand," she leaned closer as she hissed under her breath. "Talk to me like that again, and I do not care what the master does to me, I'll slice your head off and feed it to the rats!"

"Now, now Sage, there's not need for that." Sage looked behind her to see an older human walk up to her, wearing all red like her robe with black plated armour on the shoulders and around the knees as he walked with his arms behind his back. His face aged with wrinkles, a white bread, but no hair on his head as he moved closer, his eyes were natural gold, not like a dragon, since he still held human pupils. Sage dropped Terra as she turned fully to him and bowed slightly as he petted her shoulder and went to Terra who was watching Sage the whole time, for the first time, fear stuck him for her. "Stand son and you two; please tell me how the murder of that lizard went?"

"The dragon king Zaptor is dead my master," Sage answered standing up. "Though the prince lives..."

"We can take him out another time," the human spoke as he looked back at Sage. "But I sense something is still amassed, am I right?"

"Yes master," she spoke bowing. "The prince, we found out a few things. It seems that he was truly the son of Alice as you thought, and also the son of Zaptor." The king raised his head to her as she moved closer to her looking right in her now red eyes once more.

"Are you saying he is like the child of legend?" he asked. "Powerful in magic then any dragon or human?"

"Yes," she answered slightly. "But that is not the power he showed to Terra, it was something even more."

"More?" he questioned as she nodded.

"I think my old mistress is going to make him a god soon." The king hummed as he walked away, curling a finger to the two as Terra and Sage followed.

"Tell me of the power you saw then,"

"Yes master," she answered. "It was like when my old mistress first bore me; I could not control myself as well. Right now he is at his strongest, for if he became enrage, which Terra here has done by killing his father, he went on a power spree. His armour much like the kind the Goddess would use herself if she went into battle, but even then, it was still...different."

"How?" asked the human once more as Sage shook her head.

"It is hard to explain my master, please forgive me,"

"Even a mighty bird can have its wing clipped," he spoke looking back at her. "Though you have failed now, I still believe in your power to rid the world of its uncleanness beasts."

"That I can do master," she spoke bowing as the king looked to Terra as he too stopped.

"How long until all of my soldiers are armed with these weapons you have brought with you my son?"

"It depends on what you wish to be trained first," he answered slightly. "If I can go back, I can bring back one other thing, I haven't been trained myself in how to drive it, but I'm sure with Sage...way of knowing, she can learn how to, and bring back which I have thought of bringing. Just one of these if driven right, can tear down even your walls of this castle." He thought for a moment then nodded.

"Terra and Sage," they both stood still as he turned to them. "Your next mission is to go back to the future, find what Terra spoke of and Sage, learn how to use it and bring it back here, until then I'm sure my men are well enough ready for campaign with what they learned with these guns as you call him."

"As you wish father," Terra bowed as well as Sage.

"It will be done," she answered as she turned around and snapped her fingers, another portal opened before her, showing the timeline of which Terra came from, as she dragged the white hair human with her, closing the portal behind them.

Having awoken hours later after Sage and Terra left, Brandon now stood before where his father now rest. He wore his father armour; having been fitted for him thanks to the magic the wielders around used to make it his size. He would wear it until his own armour was made, along with his own sword, for it was customary for each king to wield and wear his own sword and suit of metal.

The time line is changing young King. Brandon didn't need to look up to know it was the Goddess voice that was speaking to him. He felt her beside him, her eyes locked with Zaptor grave as well as she turned to Brandon who didn't answer her. I sense you are angry with me.

"Yes," he answered. "Both my mother and father are dead now, and you did nothing to save my father, you are the Goddess and just no doubt watched as that human from the future killed off my father with those weird looking weapons!" they didn't need to worry about being seen, the Goddess made it so that if anyone came near the garden where they were speaking, they would be pushed to go somewhere else until they were done.

I can not save everyone no matter how much I may try. She sated as Brandon continued not to look at her. But this is not the reason why I am here King Brandon, as I said, the time line is changing.

"What do you mean?" he asked looking to her.

The human you saw was known as Terra, and it seems that already he is going back to his own time to bring something back, I think that it would be wise to bring the future Brandon here, as a secret agent to destroy whatever the white hair human is bringing back.

"No," answered Brandon turning to walk away. "You said that he would come back when I had a daughter, I know this. No matter what we do now in this time, somehow the future will stay the same."

This is true; she answered looking at him as she followed. So what will you do?

"I will leave to the human kingdom and stop them of course," he answered looking back. "We need to take the fight to them, after what happened here today, this can not go unnoticed!"

So you wish revenge for your father death? As the Goddess looking at him as Brandon sighed. The way of anger is never the right path my young one, you must have a pure heart, even when killing the foes that thinks to destroy the lives of many!

"And how can I do that!?" demanded Brandon as he whirled around facing her and sticking a finger to her chest. "Do you understand what has happened!? My father is dead now, dead!" he slashed the air with his hand at the word dead. "And you want me to be like, 'oh my, father dead, now I must be claim,' fuck you!" the Goddess didn't even flinch, but held a claim composed face as she too turned away from Brandon.

I was like you in so many ways Brandon. She spoke looking down. I am not the first Goddess, but the second. Many years ago, in face hundreds of years ago, I was born with two set of races in me, dragon...and human. Brandon froze as the Goddess turned to him fully once more. Sage as you have seen, is what I would look like as a human, I made her to better help me, but once she saw how the human race was, she wanted to be their goddess and allow them to have a all out war with the dragons and drakes. I could never allow her to do that. I was still new to being a God, so all I could do was take some of her powers, and banished her to the world of mortals. Over the next hundreds of years, she grew her power once more, taking her true form of which you seen now. I watched as she killed many dragons and drakes, and believe me, I wished to save them all, I have brought back many from the dead, but they wished and prey to make them all immortal, and when they needed me the most...

"The story of when the Goddess left them to be as they were to be," Brandon went on as she nodded.

I do not wish for this to happen again. Everyone needs to die Brandon, to the smallest ant, to the mightiest of kings; even to a god. The reason I chose you to take my place is because we are the same, though the story said that my mother was human, I was born as a dragoness, and cast out. The God at the time saw the sadness in my heart when I saw my grandfather kill the clan that looked like me. And even though I could never kill my family, I wished to stop them.

"Not al stories tell the truth then huh?" Brandon asked as she smiled and shook her head. Sighing Brandon looked up at the sky and nodded. "Alright, I will not go off on a vengeful mission, but stay here for a while with my mate and try to claim peace to my land, but I will repay what Terra and Sage has done to my family and land in full!"

That I understand, all I ask, is please keep a pure heart as you do, and also, allow me to slowly give you my knowledge on how to use your newfound powers while you sleep. It will make you tried when you wake, but this will only effect you for a while; understand? Brandon nodded as she too nodded. Your mate is looking for you, go now; I will train you while you sleep. And with that, she was gone.

Walking away from the garden and back into the confound of the castle's wall, he saw Tentra walking toward him, her head down, until she lifted it and saw Brandon. She had not seen him since the fight, and when she did see him, she was frighten by the power he wielded, running up to him, being careful with the metal he wore around his body, she hugged him tightly while draping her neck on his shoulder. He brought one arm over her waist and pulled her closer, his eyes closed as he took in her scent, it seemed now more stronger, and he was able to see, hear, and smell things he could never before. Now knowing he was truly half dragon, he thought it was just the dragon traits coming to him now.

"Brandon..." she whispered still hugging him softly. "What happened...when I saw you fighting...it was like you weren't yourself..." the half breed didn't say anything for a while until pulling her away and looking at her.

"There are things I wish to tell you," he told her. "It's a long story, and you may not believe it, but trust me, what I'm about to tell you is the truth; do you trust me?" she looked at him with her gold and black eyes, both confusion and fear in them as she nodded slightly, him taking her paw and told her everything about the Goddess asking him to take her place when it was time, he left out the part of them having a child, he didn't want her to think she had to have a child with him. Still standing, the drake took it all in like a baby taking their mother's milk, she couldn't believe what he was saying at first, but after witnesses the power he used on the humans; she had no choice but to believe. When he was done, he dropped her paws from his hands as she watched him.

"You're really going to be a god?" she asked as Brandon nodded, looking back behind him as if thinking the Goddess would pop out from nowhere. "That's...amazing!"

"Yes," he answered slightly. "But I'm still worried. I mean, right now I'm king and that seems like a huge leap, just think, sometime in the future I'll be a god, not mortal or anything!" he sighed as Tentra took his hand again and started to walk him down the hallway, hand to paw, the two made their way to the same place Brandon did battle with Terra. No one left but the bodies of those who lost their lives to battle, all looking at him as a few new dragon faces were seen. One was Zaptor commanding officer or the army, a few of drakes beside him looked more like his lapdog then soldiers. Brandon taking his seat where his father once sat, and Tentra where he use to sit, as the commander, all black drake with one eye scar out knelt before him before standing fully up.

"My king," he bowed once more. "I am already as we speak setting up many of our finest men to take the fight to the humans, with your leave; we can leave as soon as we are done."

"No," answered Brandon holding the blade he had as a staff, still hilted in its casing.

"K...king?" stammered the dragon as Brandon stood up causing everyone to stand at once.

"Listen, I know this is what they would want, they want us all to go out and attack so that they can easily pick us off because of the rage we have for what they have done. But this can not be as it is, we will have our fight with the humans, do not worry, but not like this." The dragon growled slightly but held his head down. "You may call me a fool or a coward for thinking like this, go ahead, I do not care. But I will not risk the lives of many just so that if we can win, you will feel good and think you will be knighted to high councillor."

"King..."

"I have seen the way you were with my father, and I'll tell you this, I won't be like him, just because you won many battles, let me ask you this, how many lives have you lost because of your plans?" many mutters were heard all around as the dragon gave Brandon, his newly king a confused look. "Answer the question,"

"A...few hundred..." he answered looking down shameful.

"And what were you plans always having?"

"Running into the heat of battle to try and kill as many humans as we could..."

"And that's where your problems lay, I'm not saying that you are wrong, for your plans do work many times without a hitch or death, but all you think about is strength,"

"Because power is everything king!" he cried looking up.

"Sometimes, brains are better then brawns," Brandon stood up getting ready to leave as the dragon snarled.

"Did you think of that when you watched your father die!?" Brandon body grew stiff and the room became quickly quite. "Did you let him die just so that you could be king, you are human yourself, how do I know your not working for the humans!?" the guards around who did not come with the dragon pointed their blades at him, ready to attack as Brandon turned to them and shook his head, telling them with his eyes to lower their swords. They did as Brandon moved closer to the dragon; being just the same height. His blue eyes locked to the dragon's green eyes as they both just stared at each other.

"I could easily tell the guards to throw you away in a cell to rot for what you said," Brandon answered looking him even more. "I could tell them to kill you on the spot and send a part of your boy to your family, but I will not. You ask me how do you know if I'm working for the humans, you ask me how? You don't know, that is your answer. I watched my father die before my eye, and you dare say I didn't do anything to try and save him? He told me not to try and heal his internal wounds for it would also kill me, so in a way, he gave his life to keep me safe." Quick as lightening, Brandon's father's sword was to the dragon neck as the dragon eyes grew wide, blood trickling down his neck. "This time I well pretend that I did not hear what you said, but try my willpower, and I will not think twice about slicing your neck off, get me?" the dragon only nodded as Brandon removed the blade and walked away, Everyone let out a breath of air as Tentra followed after Brandon, still even more confused then ever.

Two Kings one Prince: Part Seven

"There no way in hell that I'm wearing white!" Brandon frowned as he crossed his arms over his chest. Zel had brought up a white suit, much like the clothing he wore when he was en year old, it was all white save for a bit of blue on the side and...
