A New World.
Misty was just a regular human, on the outskirts of town. There wasn't much to her. She had a great personality, but that was about it. Unfortunately, she knew of no living relatives, and didn't have many friends.
So, to soothe her mind, she went to a nearby forest. As she walked through, she couldn't help but smell the cool, clean air, and listen to the leaves fall. It was tranquil. She continued her walking when she suddenly tripped...
... And noticed what she tripped on. An odd, peculiar stone; something of which she had never seen before. She saw a rune on it, and picked it up. The rune glowed, and she was able to read it in a tongue that was very foreign to her. Suddenly the forest vanished, and she blacked out.
While blacked out, she had a dream. A voice spoke to her. What do you wish to be? "What do you mean?" she inquired. You know what I mean. You don't fit in your world. You wish to be something different. Something that resembles you more. "I-I guess," she stuttered. Then worry no more. Now, awaken!
She woke up.
Something was not right. Where was the forest? Was she? In a tavern? Someone spoke to her. "Morning miss; you've been out for an awefully long time now." Misty replied, "Yes, I have... I was..." She didn't really remember the events that transpired. Wait, she thought. She started recalling. And she realized who was speaking to her. A wolf. Wait, a wolf? She shook her head, and looked again. There was no denying it, a wolf spoke to her. She was in a world that wasn't hers.
She quickly ran out, and looked around. There wasn't a single human in site. Just a bunch of humanoid beasts. She looked at herself in disbelief. _ Wait._ She looked at herself again. This isn't... Right.... Her body was yellow... And... Furry?!
Thinking that it all must be a dream, she went back into the tavern, and went to sleep. Upon her awakening, she came to a final realization.
She was in a new realm. It wasn't hers. But, in a way, it was. There was nothing to look back on in her past, and everything to look forward to here. Maybe it will turn out for the best...
