Cast Away - Poem
This initially was going to be lyrics for a song, but I don't really have any musical talent so I decided to make it a poem. It's probably not all too good of a poem, but now at least it's getting some use.
Cast Away
I lay in the night
awake as can be
Contemplating
things done to me
I've been cast away
life got the better of me
Now all that's left
is for death to take me
All the things
that I held high
All my joys and all my prides
They've been shattered
and no one seems to care
Life has won
as it always will
Because no matter how hard you try
You can never beat time
It just waits for you to die
and that might just be tonight
